One step closer to holy trinity with Ventari

I never had a Fully Dedicated Healer after Factions hit, it was played like GW2 is played, You have necro/Ele/monk all have some Healing, some utility and then Aoe Burst.

At least thats how I played and never had any troubles other than Speed Clears, and you cant count those, b.c They were Special Team builds per area. UW was different than FoW and Topk was different than Slayers and that was different than DoA.

Im aware of this, however i was never in a big guild, didnt have any friends who played, etc. i always had to rely on pug groups, and those werent always the best, hell they arent in this game either, and most of them would wait for a dedicated healer and tank. I did of course after awhile start doing everything myself with just heroes.

The trinity still will not solve anything. It takes less skill than running around in zerker armor too. The tank takes all the hits. The healer heals the tank and keeps him alive, and the DPS stay in the back(what im used to) and kill everything. <-Trinity, did i nail it?

With Zerker speed clear groups(and some of those dont even want everyone in zerker gear), everyone is doing CC, Healing, and doing damage, all when needed, while using active defenses and boons to reduce or negate any damage taken. That takes more skill than the above at least to me.

No trinity is the way to go. If this game ever goes trinity i will leave. I got sick and kittening tired of having to wait for a godkitten healer or tank in GW1 for content, before heroes where added, and even after it was annoying as hell.

I like being able to swap to a healing guardian or ele if i need to. I also like being able to be a tank ele or warrior if needed.

Even if they change the content i dont see Trinity ever being a thing. They just need to introduce monsters that have different aggro mechanics, different ways to beat them. See the husks. My condition ranger and necro melt them. My full zerker mesmer does not, at least not as fast. That is all it would take for you to see more people running these other armor sets in PVE.

how did you find that? i was lookin on the bl tp for the stats but i couldnt count them all.

only 24 stats means there r still 23 that dont get used. not a troll i just wnat to help make the game more fun bc zerkmeta is lame. if evryone who wants zerkmeta to change is a troll thn i guess there are a lot of trolls lol

GW2 Wiki. Its a thing. https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Equipment_acquisition_by_stats

And again you are wrong. I use Sinister on my Ranger, Zerker on my Mesmer, Knights, Zerker, AND nomads on my Guardian. Celestial on my ele, Assassins on my other Mesmer. Rampagers on my Necromancer.

I never get kicked from dungeons, but then again i never join Zerker speed groups unless im on my mesmer. Even on my ranger and my necro i never get kicked.

And there arent alot of people that want it changed. Just a loud minority.

ok smartee pants how many armors are even in the game

since u think its even posble to know that

There are 24 armor and weapon stats. Not counting mixing multiple stat types together. Zerk, Zealot, Soldiers, Valkyrie, Captains, Rampagers, Assassins, Knights, Cavaliers, Nomads, Settlers, Givers, Sentinel, Shaman, Sinister, Carrion, Rabid, Dire, Winter, Giver(Different from Givers), Clerics, Magi, Apothecary, Celestial.

Now, not all of those are available in Armor, or Weapons, Or trinkets. Im honestly starting to think you are a troll at this point because of your last few comments.

Lion’s Arch have been destroyed multiple times, and every time it have risen again. Just like a phoenix.

This isnt about Pug groups and kicking, its about the option of 1 trinket.

Its slightly relevant. I stated that i like having more stats available. He came in and stated that since everything and everybody used Zerk gear that it wouldnt matter. When it does. I run many stats, never just one on my characters usually 3. Some sort of power armor and weapons, and nomads/knights mix for my trinkets, amulets and backpack. A single thing would be a no go.

Current most logical theory is that they were added being unlocked by an achievement after the achievement was achievable and Anet forgot to make it so those who previously achieved the achievement got it unlocked, and since the achievement is achieved it becomes impossible for them to unlock, similar to that glitch where skins are unlocked but not counting towards a collection thing.
It also would explain why Anet “can’t verify” if the glitch even exists.

Id support your theory..but…i have only done half of the living story achievements..and have been able to purchase them since before i even did half of the half that i have done >.> Course this was many many weeks after they where added to the game.

I mentioned them above but:

1. Identifying with a member of a group they at the same time hold with contempt and hatred. Its kind of taking it both ways. They ridicule and despise the flame legion but hold claim one of their historic members and someone who was one of these oppressors as a hero.

2. Killing their gods. That was the humans who did that. Humans took down the ones who came through the gate of Kormali. Humans who shut down the place where they were being created. The humans killed the Charr gods.

3. The start of their revolution to throw of the shackles of Flame Legion Oppression was enabled by humans killing many leading shamans at the time and humans freeing Pyre and his Warband. This was the very starting point of the revolution. Its ironic that Gwen Goremonger who is hated and feared by the Charr was also instrumental in freeing them from Flame Legion chains.

1.) I can understand that one, feel the same way when it comes to that. But i think the difference is, at the time the Charr gods where real, and hadnt yet been destroyed. It was only when they started deceiving the charr that they started hating and wanting to eliminate the flame legion(Not counting all the female charr who got tired of being locked up and used for nothing more than breeding slaves…).

Prince Rurik should not be seen how he is by the Charr, im sorry, but he shouldnt(Towards ANET). I would have thought that the charr would have respected him slightly..every so slightly for managing to eliminate so many Charr in one swoop, with nobody but himself and a small group of mages. I know i would.

2.)Those where just regular titans.
“Two hundred years before the Searing, the Burnt Warband found Titans in the volcano Hrangmer; these Charr brought them back home to worship as gods. The Shaman caste led others to worship the Titans, who, in turn, provided them with the Cauldron of Cataclysm.” http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Titan

The titans we kill in GW1 at the gate are not the same titans the Charr where worshiping as gods, those titans had been around before the gate was open, and as such probably existed after the gate was gone. So the Charr are indeed very responsible for killing their gods(at least it seems so to me). Not Humans.

3.) Gwen was not there to rescue Pyre in my characters GW1 story, and even in the lore she was not there. she was an optional character that was not required to bring http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Warband_of_Brothers

She was however here(In the lore at least) http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Assault_on_the_Stronghold At the fall of Burntsoul, and as such should probably be seen as a hero to the charr or at the very least not the horrible villian she is now.

However, Pyre Fierceshot had indeed started the revolution before we showed up
“Pyre Fierceshot is an outcast, persecuted by the Charr Shamans for daring to speak out against their ways. After his warband killed a Shaman and destroyed a temple, Pyre and his companions fled the ruling shaman caste. Pyre hates them with a fury that only one raised to worship false gods can understand; he has been betrayed, tricked, and deceived, and he has sworn never to fall under the spell of the Shamans again. "

Id say that seems like the start of a revolution to me, or at the very least revolutionary. Course, it wouldnt have continued and grown stronger without our human character freeing Pyres warband, with or without Gwen being there. But, most of the charr NPCs ive talked to dont hate the humans(They look upon them as weak, and i guess rightfully so, compared to a charr a human is weak), they just hate the Ascalonians for being so stubborn(Ebonhawk) and for the curse of the Foefire.

I honestly have to wonder…how would the charr view the humans if the Foefire had never happened? Would we be so much closer to a peace treaty, or what would have happened?

I’ve never understood these threads. Not liking them I get, but I’ve never had an issue with the camera in a JP that I can remember. Does anyone have videos showing how the camera is terrible in them? Because all I can think is people just are bad with camera control until I see video evidence that a decent number of JPs have camera issues.

welp if i had a computer good enough id get on my max sized Charr(that i did all the JP on) And find the worst two that i had the most trouble with, not saying there arent more, but two were bad. Small spaces, huge character, so big im going through the wall or roof, but the camera wont let me see around my character to where im going next.(Before first person). Still did them all, still dont think they are a problem though. Remember all the people complaining about the camera with Liadria, yea im fairly sure the camera is indeed a problem in small spaces! Again, its mainly about the Charr taking credit for things they didn’t do. Its not about admitting weakness as much as false claims to strength.

What false claims are those? The ones about taking the land back? They admit in game that one of their heroes was Bonfaaz Burntfur. Id say thats giving credit to the flame legion, the ones responsible for it.

Edit: And it was that strength of arms that helped to take the land back. Ill give this to the Ascalnions, they always inspire my characters. Every. Single. One. of my charr share the same sense of praise for what the managed to do. Holding off the Charr for so long, by themselves. They also share the same hatred of one single person. King Adelbern, they all think he is a coward, they do not say the same about his Son Prince Rurik. They also do not hate the foefire ghosts, because honestly, they didnt do anything, it was their king who made them that way.(Yes i RP them that way. with all the knowledge the priory has the truth about what really happened 250 years ago should be known by now.) Neither races are terrible creatures. They both did horrible things to each other, its up to them if they want to move past it or not. Humanity in game could benefit greatly if they allied with the charr, im glad Queen Jennah sees that too. ^^

Ive never liked the Ascalonians, even in the first game, they always seemed to deserve getting pushed out of “their” land. they invaded and pushed the tribal charr out, thats fine, but the charr came back, better than before and took back their original land(With the help of flame legion magic, NPC in the black citadel near the stormcaller horn has a dialogue speech about it) I see nothing wrong with that.

http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Bonfaaz_Burntfur

^ Bonfaaz Burntfur, Flame legion Shaman and at the time leader of the charr forces as they invaded Rin. So they do give credit to the flame legion, and even say they are heroes, see the screenshot

“Using the Cauldron of Cataclysm and the power of their Titan gods, the Charr shaman Bonfaaz Burntfur summoned forth a devastating magic that rained down burning crystals on Ascalon.”
http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/The_Searing
my problem, comes from both sides for continuing this stupid conflict. Its over. The Ascalonians are all but gone, let them have Ebonhawk(Which thanks to the treaty is going to happen). The Charr have taken their land back, all but that little corner, they dont need to be so mindless when it comes to humankitten

Purely for me, my lingering dislike for the Charr is a certain hypocrisy they seem to have.

They take credit for victory over the humans while ignoring that it was the magics of the Flame Legion, who they hold in contempt, which enabled their victory by crippling Ascalon with the Searing.

They see no real issue with the use of the Searing on the humans but get upset over the humans use of the Foefire on them.

They claim to have killed their gods when it was again humans who did that.

Hell, one of the key figures in the start of the Charr throwing off the yoke of the Flame Legion was infact saved by humans, as was his warband, from Flame Legion cages.

It is ironic that the Charr actually owe a lot of their success to others they look at with contempt.

This isn’t to say I hate Charr, but they do come across as a little full of it.

There are plenty of other stuff people can get for cheap for their own enjoyment. People should stop feeling entitled to getting anything they like.

Rofl. Sure there are things other players can get. But when the content they are gained from is still in game? They should be able to be gotten. The Halloween skins are fine, hell even the molten weapons are fine. The backpack though? That boss fight is still in game, still doable, via fractals, and as such the drop should still be able to be gotten by doing that boss. Its not like people here(not me, i think its ugly) are asking for it for free, they actually want to do the boss to get it. I see nothing wrong with that. The drop rate was absurdly low anyways, adding it back in to the final chest would be nothing, they would still remain rare and expensive. They always have been rare and expensive, and should remain as such, but still obtainable.

Now of course you can report them, but who knows if anything will ever happen to them. sure it allowed you to sell the paths, but any support beyond that, does not exist. Time between Haiti earthquake and rebuilding: +5 years
time between 9/11 and start building one world center: 5 years.

So compared to real life, the timeframe is actually pretty short. I know it is a game, but when it comes to reality, it is actually very short!

Do not really care about the real world here, because we dont have to deal with the same issues people in the real world do for trying to rebuild. I was expecting LA to start being rebuilt when donations started being collected, that didnt happen though, but its happening now and i dont want to have to donate more to see LA fixed

See my point now? i dont truly mind how long it took, what i do not want is to have to do more after donating so much the first time

from a pure technical viewpoint making a melee staff, is just the same as making it ranged, no more difficult, or difference there, making a spear a land weapon would be to essentially have to reconfigure it pretty much from the bottom to allow it to be placed in a slot used elsewhere, not even certain they have the capability in the engine to even allow a weapon to be both above and below water.

So yeah 2 VERY different things (we do already have ranged greatswords and soon hammers as well)

Actually..if…if..their code is clean and good as i hope it is…Maybe not of course! We dont have access to it! But it wouldnt surprise me if they could just change one or two lines of code(Who knows what would break because of it) And allow underwater weapons to be used on land. But, nobody knows! Bring on the update that fixes LA completely!

We’ll find out when the 2nd expansion comes out. If you need HoT to play that, then HoT is mandatory.

I think i remember hearing(in a gw2 video) that any thing that comes out after HOT will require you to have HOT? Maybe?

So long as they dont make them required for anything i dont care. If people want to role a healer than let them. Ill only have a problem if they decide that healing must be required for content. Make it usable, make it accepted for things(Dungeons, i could for sure see where this would be a boon to pug groups for example), but dont make it required, unless the team wants one.

To those saying none are tied to map exploration, there are at least 3 that are indeed JPs, but most of the time a mesmer is nearby who can portal for them.

Well, anet needs to look at their pathing, because right now a simple bump throws an “Invalid Path” Message and puts the skill on CD while doing nothing…
So yea, a TP would be nice..

Im kinda with Psycho, the effect should be much less noticeable, like every other boon in the game. Hell, at least you can turn off the graphics of conditions(the green of poison for example). Id sure like to be able to do that with boons too.

Stop being so sensitive, OP. This is the internet. Block and move on.

Report, Block, And move on. If the ANET moderators think its a problem then they will deal with the player in question.
