god! this is really frustraring man, dont you get tired of being so negative? allow yourself to have some fun! you know, in this world NOTHING is perfect, there is always something bad in EVERYTHING, so you just overlook the little details and enjoy the good part.
Do you get tired of being so frustrated? Your point can be applied to you as well. Just overlook their complaints and continue to enjoy the game. Their complaints aren’t towards you but towards ArenaNet, so why stress yourself over them voicing their dislike of the content? If the majority of the customers do indeed like this content then Anet will not modify the content much, perhaps sprinkling a few additional things for the minority but nothing that will jeopardize your amusement.
I love how you guys don’t enjoy the game you are playing. Do you know why people usually play games? to enjoy them
You would be correct a few years back, but I have noticed a startling shift in the mentality of gamers. A growing number treat video games as chores or jobs, forcing themselves to go through content they despise for trivial things such as achievement points. It is this mentality that has caused me to actively avoid joining Guilds, another reason is the person usually just spams me a guild invite expecting I will eventually succumb to their persistence (fortunately didn’t encounter anyone that persistent when I was playing Guild Wars 2), and participating in group content.

Actually, they’re still in Orr because they’re still fighting Zhaitan. Short reminder: The open world PvE takes place just before we kill Zhaitan in Arah story mode.
Tricky little time paradoxon there.
In correct the Living Story is stated to occur an year after Zhaitan’s defeat, so the Pact air fleet should be free to respond to Scarlet’s attack.

Snape kills Dumbledore.
That is completely incorrect, everyone knows Scarlet killed Dumbledore in order to acquire the Elder Wand to power her marionette. Just like she overthrew Darth Sidious in order to acquire her very own Death Star.

Abaddon is dead. Gone. Forever. This has been stated – multiple times – by ArenaNet.
They also stated they wanted to avoid linking everything to one single point but according to people Scarlet pointing to Modremoth, who certain forum users claim is the Jungle Dragon, which can be summed up as “The Elder Dragons did it” Also he may be destroyed but his power could still exist. Kormir only absorbed the power he possessed, but what if he was like Grenth and unable to fully destroy the deity whose power he absorbed? Perhaps that’s the secret of the human gods?
Also as I said developers say a lot of things, until that particularly franchise or project is officially concluded whatever they say is subject to change. We can argue and debate about if there is or isn’t reason to change the verdict until we bored of the topic, so long as the Guild Wars franchise continues there will always be that possibility.
The only way he’ll return is via means like the Fall of Abaddon fractal. A mere echo of the past, unable to leave its little bubble of existence.
Actually he could return in the present day, just not in the way some are hoping. While he may be truly gone, his legacy lives on. Artifacts, Demonic Servants,. and Forbidden Knowledge may be hidden across the Mists and Tyria that could be mre dangerous than Abaddon in his disembodied state ever could. There also the possibility that his original body may actually still pose a threat, perhaps a certain Sylvari utilizing Snaff’s devices to control the body through her mind?
Since Scarlet seems interested in the way the world works, seeking out lore of Abaddon will be more in line with her character than following the directives of some Elder Dragon. Perhaps she was arguing with one of Abaddon’s old servants, who believes he could be resurrected, or perhaps she did find some dark artifact of the destroyed god that is sapient? Another thing to consider is that since this is Season 1 of the Living Story they probably won’t introduce a new Elder Dragon so soon, especially considering the disappointment in the Zhaitan boss fight. It would make more sense to introduce a smaller more manageable villain behind Scarlet in order to work out the bugs and kinks of the formula.

Alas, she was able to bribe her way to victory with promises of cheaper WPs. Most of the uninformed fell for this trick, as when you did the number crunching, the amount saved equaled next to nothing. Now Lion’s Arch is about to get destroyed due to her lack of initiative on setting up a perimeter air defense. You get what you vote for.
Perhaps it wasn’t a trick, perhaps the majority did not care about playing Tyria Stock Markets and instead wanted to explore the land as adventurers trend to do. Perhaps they actually felt pity for Evon, who wanted to take a burden that they didn’t want to trouble him with. Or perhaps Evon told Ellen to offer cheaper Waypoints and a fractal about the Thaumanova Reactor knowing she would win. Evon isn’t a hero, he is a infiltrator sent by the Ash Legion for unknown purposes that may or may not have gone rogue. A position of importance, such as the Captain’s Council, would carry a risk of compromise and restriction of his actions so perhaps he only ran for Captain’s Council to give an illusion of competition.
When they were meeting with the Zypherite leader he introduced Ellen as his associate, which could be evidence the two are working with one another. Yes Ellen denied being his subordinate or even acquaintance but perhaps it was a simply misdirection?

the mursaat were working with abbadon too could their resurgence indicate that abbadon and his nighfall plan didn’t completely end. maybe shes saw abbadon and the voice she hear is him, abbadon having been banished from the world upon his defeat would need a way back.Wy not use scarlette to open a portal to allow him and his minins back into the world.
I think the Mursaat were actually working against him, since they were trying to prevent the Lich from unleashing the Titans who was Abaddon’s servant.
Edit: FlamingFoxx beat me to it. Although I doubt Abaddon was completely destroyed.
On a side note can someone refresh my memory on what happened to the Fondry of Failed Creations, was it destroyed with Abaddon’s defeat or does it still exist.

The Facet’s are tied to the forgotten though, it’s possible that they simply take that form because in the Tyria that we knew Glint was the only (not undead) dragon and the form of the dragon seemed powerful and unequalled within Tyria.
I wasn’t suggesting the Human Gods are the Elder Dragons or even related, I was suggesting that perhaps them assuming Dragon forms might be suggestive that the Elder Dragons aren’t actual dragons but just assuming the form of Dragons, as I believed Konig suggested in an earlier thread or post (my memory doesn’t serve me very well since an incident involving something heavy striking me on the top of the head)
Chaos always finds a way, who you think Evil learned it from?

Not directly, but yes.
I need to be sarcastic more often. But that fit the serpentine appearance of the concept art for the Deep Sea Dragon.
However, the Empire of the Dragon, if memory serves me right, was named such because of the Celestial Dragon – take this with a grain of salt, mind you. The Celestial Dragon was once a human empress by the name of Tahmu, whom died during an assault by naga in a time unknown. Celestials are attributed to the Six Gods but…
Kuunavang, however, is somehow tied to celestial powers as well, given that she grants celestial skills in Raisu Palace and Imperial Sanctum. How she ties in, is unknown. And the Celestial Dragon takes on the personage of Saltspray Dragons – which is what Kuunavang is (now, it is possible that they are dragon minions, but we hold no evidence of such and if so they’d all be freed like Glint somehow – or their ED is benevolent).
There also is that quest in the original Guild Wars where the gods’ avatars took the form of Dragons to consider. Perhaps the Elder Dragons aren’t true dragons but entities basing their appearance on dragons, as I think you suggested in a previous thread. Or they could be dragons that dabbled in magic forbidden by the other Dragons, and Kuunavang was part of a group that researched into celestial type magic. Another possibility is the Celestial Dragons were previous humans that took the appearance of Saltspray Dragons.

Ellen Kiel - Hero of Lion's Arch
in Battle for Lion’s Arch - Aftermath
Posted by: Darkbattlemage.9612
Kiel didn’t stop Magnus from sending Lionguard to Twilight Arbor leaving Lion’s Arch weaker, Evon at least has an issue with that (Kiel is too loyal to Magnus to question him). Kiel only started preparing for Scarlet’s attack two weeks prior to it happening. Evon was warning us of it back in November.
Why should she stop Magnus? Magnus is the leader of the Lionguard she just a captain within its ranks. Magnus is more experience than she is and as such it is only natural she would defer to his judgement. Magnus is taking a hands on approach to the Scarlet problem, he not waiting for her to strike Lion’s Arch again he wants to strike back. A very understandable reaction to the damage Scarlet already caused Lion’s Arch. Also even with the Lionguard at full strength the city will still fall. She has five armies under her command, one of which can easily be replaced. Scarlet would win simply through a battle of attrition.
Evon may have been stating an attack was coming but took no precautions against it himself. This is because even if he was a council member he would be just as powerless as Ellen is. Scarlet’s resources are vastly superior to anything Evon could muster.
I am curious though why do Evon’s supporters want to burden their favorite Charr with the mantle of politician?

Funnily enough, I actually agree with the Gnashblade supporters that Kiel shouldn’t have become a Councilor, despite being a Kiel supporter.
Kiel’s not cut out to be a politician. She’d have served Lion’s Arch better as a general or other military commander. But between her or Mr Gnashblade whose “incentive” was just a barely disguised ploy to get us to buy more of his rip-off goods? I voted for Kiel. :P
And Evon doesn’t deserve the extra headaches and paperwork that comes with being a politician. I think his supporters should be glad he could sit back and simply tally profits for the day instead of having to put up with a bunch of pirate captains arguing with one another.r

He was aiming low, and being stupid. A quick cash grab, and a thug’s authority. That’s all he thought they could get, and he was an idiot.
Could be also the warband leader was planning on deserting and leaving their warband to take the far, never counting on one of them to challenge them for leadership. From Evon’s perspective it was just another order from the higher ups of the legion, one he found himself questioning.
Perhaps they’re making a profit from Gnashblade’s endeavour – but power in charr society is derived from firepower, not gold. That much gold would only help them if they need to pay for something expensive.
Perhaps it’s the information that’s more desirable. Ash tends to collect that regardless of whether it’s immediately needed. Much like the Order of Whispers, they’ll send operatives into every place they can – including the Order of Whispers – just to learn what’s going on. Even if Gnashblade is a money-hoarder with little interest in his legion, providing them with information would be an easy way for him to keep them happy.
Perhaps it both gold and information. Information on new technologies that may be circulating outside the Charr homelands and gold to pay Asura technicians to manufacture and maintain magitech the Legions themselves are unable to, we just haven’t seen it because the Ash Legion probably fielding such equipment in the defense of their homelands or the Iron Legion is attempting to reverse engineer the technology. Or perhaps the Ash Legion is funding a top secretive project that requires a massive amount of resources from the other lands.

Sorry to disappoint you, but Arena Net likes refencing real-world stuff. Asian ‘dragon’ is something else. It is often a kind of title of the emperor, or rather an epithet. It may be the reference, or intentional use of that ‘dragon’ epithet. Think harder before posting, bro. Plus dragons, as it seems, exist in this universe, aside from dem Elder Dragons. Problem, officer?
I am not disappointed as your responded exactly how I anticipated. Taking my sarcastic remark serious, even when I said I was joking. But the point I was trying to make using the game title still remains, in a more simplified form thanks to FlamingFoxx since you seem to have missed the point entirely. But it seems even that you missed that point as well so I’ll just bluntly say the point.
The information presented by the living story does not point to Elder Dragon involvement. Glint has mention a world dominated by Dragons and if she is any indication of that world, then it stands to reason they were all highly intelligent. This means that either A) The Elder Dragons dabbled into some extremely forbidden Dragon Magic to become the creatures they are today, thus also creating the problem of magic growing unstable over time. Or The Elder Dragons are actually be spiritual entities that base their physical forms off the Dragons as have been suggested already by another form user. So it could be Scarlet is seeking out ancient Dragon artifacts or even an uncorrupted Dragons. She is against being a puppet but she doesn’t actively seek to destroy what she perceives as attempting to control her, as evident by the fact she never took any direct action against the Pale Tree. Even in her madden state she doesn’t appear to be threatening the entity that she hears but rather arguing that everything she has done was for her not it. This sounds similar to how an Asura relationship would work, with the two Asura nearing the termination of their relationship arguing over who gets the inventions.
Her behavior doesn’t match up with any known Dragon minion, instead it aligns more perfectly with how Demons are said to act. All we truly know is whatever she saw was already present in her to begin with. The Asura mentioning requiring further study of the dream, which some took as irrefutable proof Sylvari are dragon minions, but he could just be saying that to try and pressure the Sylvari to submit to Asura experimentation once again. Sylvari do have a unique physiology, which terminates itself when invaded by Dragon Corruption, it is possible it has similar functionality concerning infestations of non Elder Dragon energies or entities.
If the only two choices are “Elder Dragons did it” or “Demons did it” than the arrows would more strongly point towards Demons as she is causing chaos and mayhem with everything she does, killing many thus providing ample souls for the demons consumption, and her behavior is similar to Luxon Reavers who were being influenced by a demon. Only one arrow exclusively points to a Dragon, the painting itself.
The voices she hearing is a phenomena that may be shared with both demons and Elder Dragons, and in fact may indicate a hidden connection between the two.
Honestly, when I look at people who have no drawing skills whatsoever, their works all look to me like ‘grawl painting’. It requires talent and skill to draw properly, and if you have no – you will always stuck somewhere in 3 years old level. Just because you don’t have the talent and wasn’t taught/self taught.
Problem Scarlet should already possess the skill to draw highly detailed pictures of various things, as evident by the detail put into her blueprints.

Wrong.
This is actually something I’ve touched on in RP (yes, I’m an RPer). By tracking what’s being bought and sold where, where things are being moved, and making note of shifts in the normal flow of things, you can get a pretty good picture of what’s REALLY happening in the world. People are PAYING him to track their movements within the world, and it’s almost impossible to undertake a big project without him knowing.
(Yes, I’m well aware that Scarlet seems to have defied this. That’s a subject for another thread or twelve.)
Also, if the Ash Legion is aware of an upcoming need for something (say, the grain supplies in an area have been burned and winter is coming), then that gives Ash the chance to either soften the blow of the problem, or amplify it by whether or not the send more or less supplies to the area. I would say that this is the weakest of the reasons, but I’m sure it can occasionally come into play.
Finally, the BLCT is everywhere, and employs people from all five of the major races. No one thinks twice about a charr traveling around and doing work for them. It’s the perfect excuse for Ash agents to move around all over Tyria.
In short, the BLTC is the best large-scale information gathering and spy network in Tyria, most likely even better than the Order of Whispers. The only places the Order beats them is in actually manipulating events and gathering small-scale information.
That makes sense but what of the predecessor warband leader who planned on simply demanding protection money? How does that fit in with your hypothesis?

I know right! The Evon thread is already has 140 posts, and this has a mere 16… nobody cares about her. I fact I’ve already posted twice in this thread just to say how bad she is, not how good she is.
Because arguing over whether or not Evon is a hero is more interesting than arguing if Ellen is or isn’t a hero. She basically screams Paladin material where as Evon comes off as the clever rogue. A perfect example that was brought up is what both did with the stolen loot they liberated from the pirates. Ellen as any paladin would automatically chose to return the stolen goods to its previous owners while Evon picked the Rogue option which was to keep the goods and split it amongst his comrades.

I was under the impression the Tribune had to be present when a challenge has been issued towards a warband leader by one of their subordinates, to ensure everything goes smoothly. Of course Rytlock could of just been there to enjoy seeing the blood legion commander hit the ground.

A true hero knows how to have fun. But my friend, I think you’re missing the point that Evon will save the day, while Kiel’s ineffective leadership sinks the city. That’s what this is all about. I’m just doing my duty to inform the masses that in Tyria’s darkest hour, there’s always a hero in the shadows.
And yes, #TeamGnashblade now and forever!
Again your evidence proves nothing except Evon is perceptive as he notes pirates can’t be intimidated. I see no hero, instead I see an insubordinate soldier who killed his superior because he felt he was better at the job. Is the Tribune aware of this? He is still part of the Ash Legion? Or has he join the ranks of the Gladiums. Also Evon isn’t E because he has no motive to save Divinity’s Reach. It is obvious E is a human, though not Ellen because she lacks the motivation to want to protect Divinity’s Reach as well.
I’ll agree he’s a good businessman and an opportunist in combat but I don’t see him having hero material.

Ellen Kiel - Hero of Lion's Arch

The Lionguard’s job is to keep the roads to and from Lion’s Arch safe. If they start to fail in that, then guess what happens to the authority of the Lionguard and the Captains’ Council? Plus, Evon could hire his own guards, further reducing the authority of the Council. Any short term gain would be met with long term loss.
Their job also is to keep Lion’s Arch safe. Lion’s Arch has been attacked by an individual with several armies under her command. It is expected for the Lionguard to direct resources towards stopping Scarlet from threatening Lion’s Arch again. Trade routes aren’t as important as the city they lead to, after all what good is having a safe trade route if the city you going to conduct your business is destroyed or threatened?
Also as I pointed out Evon could of used the situation to establish a “caravan escort” service to alleviate the strains Scarlet has placed on the Lionguard, which in turn will bolster the defenses of Lion’s Arch when she does attack. There should be plenty of Gladiums the Charr High Legions can loan him, provided he still a member of the Ash Legion and there is still an interest in Lion’s Arch well being.
Furthermore, Evon at least works with the Council, somewhat. Anyone that gets part of his business? There’s no guarantee that they’ll be as reasonable. Plus, as Evon’s trade takes a hit, everyone else will expect to be targeted as well, and less trade will go into LA.
Then why isn’t he backing Ellen’s claims? If he does work alongside the Council in any degree then he would be obligated to warn them of an immediate attack. I know some of the Evon fans will say he has already and was ignored, which means he just as powerless as Kiel in regards of moving the minds of the council.
Also since Lion’s Arch was attacked several times already it is likely trade has already decreased, if not then it seems so long as the city emerges victorious traders will still trust in the council’s decisions. So as Evon is not a member of the council if his business mysteriously fails than no one will become suspicious since they will assume it was from his own bad business decisions.’
And as for the Consortium? I think the Council already realizes that they’d be a bigger problem than Evon ever would be. Evon would work with the Council. He might pull or push them as he sees the need, but he’d still be dealing with them. The Consortium, given half a chance, will oust them and take over LA, if they can make a profit while doing so.
The Consortium wouldn’t make such a obvious power play, the bad publicity they already received from their other endeavors alone is enough to make them cautious when dealing with the Captain’s Council.
But I think we sort of derailed the conversation a bit. Evon wouldn’t resort to threats of any kind, since he is depicted as perceptive in his short story, as he knows it wouldn’t work. Bribery is likewise an ineffective tool when dealing with the Captain’s Council. So what else could Evon utilize that Ellen can’t?
Chaos always finds a way, who you think Evil learned it from?
The more I read about these ‘theories’, the more I lose trust in humanity. Come on, it’s a game about dragons. With a dragon on the logo. Then comes painting in Scarlet’s lair, mind you, it’s a giant dragon, all the hints in her journal. What makes you ignoring these facts?
The game’s title is Guild Wars yet we don’t see story content concerning wars between guilds now do we. Just because the Elder Dragons are in the world doesn’t mean everything has to be connected to them. Especially every psychopath that decides to cause trouble. The story would become quite stale in a short period. In fact the only mention of actual wars between guilds in the original guild wars story was things that occurred in the past.
Also there are flaws in the “Elder Dragons” hypothesis that those who are supporting said hypothesis are ignoring.

They can’t simply take his business. They could take part of it, shut down the BLT in LA. But if they did that, THEY would lose a lot of money as well. Nobody would want to come to LA anymore, now that they’ve seen the Captains’ Council just take the goods and money they want. They’d go elsewhere. And you can bet your kitten that some smart asura would set up a new gate hub elsewhere, and start raking in the money when people move their goods through the new hub to keep away from LA.
It all depends on how they went about acquiring the Black Lion Trading Company. Seizing openly could potentially cause traders to avoid Lion’s Arch however it is normal for a company to be brought out by a larger and more successful company, particularly when said company experiences problems.
Trade is a big part of LA, and Evon’s the biggest trader of them all. Unlike Kiel, they can’t just replace him with someone else. They may not like him, but they need him as much as he needs them. Kiel? She needs them, but they don’t really need her.
Actually it would be very easy to replace Evon if he proves to be a great annoyance or threat to their authority. All they need to do is move key pieces of their board in favor of setting up Evon’s business to unexpectedly fail. No one would suspect anything if a few centaurs or even bandits ransacked Black Lion caravans, the bulk of the Lionguard is after all searching for Scarlet. It is even expected there would be an increase in bandit activity in such times. The fact Evon would appear the fool for not expecting this would discredit him and his business. The losses will quickly mount as the people loose their trust in his ability to ensure the safety of their purchases.
As the Black Lion Trading Company collapses due to the strain of the times, the Consortium rises. The consortium are more manageable, for all the council has to do is convince them a decision they don’t approve of will be bad publicity.

The only power and authority that she has is what they give her. Love Evon or hate him, at least he would have had more pull with the council due to having influence of his own.
What influence does he have within the council? Bribes won’t work as they all rich and can simply take his business if they wanted to. He already knows threats won’t work, even if its “I’ll shut down my business”. So he would be in the same position, knowing of the attack but unable to do anything to stop it.
There’s no way she can save Lion’s Arch. However, she may be able to help save the people of LA. And then, when this is all over, the Captains’ Council will publicly claim that she failed at her job to warn them of the incoming danger, and hang her out to dry to cover their own failures.

when it was clear that you meant “borrow” – defined as
“take and use (something that belongs to someone else) with the intention of returning it.”
Oh my bad habit of spelling similar sounding but meaning completely different words strikes again. At least it wasn’t something inappropriate this time….
There’s one big difference though. Evon is a hero who’s not only a smart business man, but is also a trained warrior that protects the city. We can be proud of a charr like him.

Flamethrowers aren’t a very good choice for digging holes…
I never suggest using flamethrowers to dig holes, nor did I imply Scarlet was going to try. Plus I was jokingly suggesting Scarlet plan was to dig a big hole and throw Evon and his fans into it to save Tyria from its own version of the Bieber plague.
Anyways in the trailer we do see Lion’s Arch on fire, which implies the flamethrowers were used to some degree.

That would explain why all other spellcasters couldn’t even tell that it was a mesmer illusion, let alone dispell it. Not even Marjory.
Just because a typical mesmer can use illusions, doesn’t mean they can dispell others’ illusions, anyways. You have no support for your claim. You’re just pulling it out of your kitten .
Actually it does mean they could dispel another mesmer’s illusion, if they are talented as I said. Now I agree a Mesmer who is failing their classes wouldn’t be capable of shattering an illusion, but I never implied these would be capable of dispelling the illusion or even to know it was there in the first place. Why a mesmer would have no difficulty in dispelling a illusion such as the one Kasmeer shattered is because they have an understanding of how illusions work and the spell wasn’t being actively maintained by a mesmer (to my knowledge anyways). Since it was an enchantment placed upon the cave the spell was static, meaning its perimeters were already predetermined prior to its placement. Kasmeer or any other mesmer had to do was simply locate any flaw or weakness within the enchantment’s illusion and apply “pressure” there with their power.
The reason why none of the player mesmers could detect the spell can be explained through two reasons. The first is they weren’t actively scanning the area for anomalies and thus overlooked the cave. The second is because Anet wanted Kasmeer to appear important and thus made it where only she could detect and break the illusion.

Either this, or have him run with his tail between his legs.
I’ve said before that Gnashblade is like Steve Jobs. Scrap that. Gnashblade is like Justin Bieber and his fans are Tyria’s equivalent of Beliebers. So don’t be too harsh on them, they’ve yet to discover themselves.
Quick let’s burrow the Molten Alliance flamethrowers and purge this blight on Tyria…perhaps this is what Scarlet true objective is and we have been fooled into thinking she just being evil for evil’s sake.

Heroes come in all shapes and sizes. Just because he’s not flaunting around his weapons, doesn’t mean he doesn’t know how to use them properly. A real hero is there when you need him, unlike some princesses who can’t even properly defend the city she represents.
Where is Evon now? Lion’s Arch is going to burn, he in the city yet not lifting a single claw. Perhaps he just a thief like some of the other citizens that been idolized by those who should know better.

Gnashy will save the day, wait and see :-) Dead customers means bad for bussiness.
Great for business actually he can “recover” all their belongings, keeping the valuables to resell and returning the junk to the decease next of kin.

Darkbattlemage – I would consider that unlikely since Kormir resided there with the Forgotten after Abaddons defeat in order to purify it – and it was subsequently known as the Redeemed Realm.
I figured it was unlikely, but then I don’t recall it being referred to as the Nightmare Realm. Maybe I just overlooked it.

I’m not sure if you’re that you understand how Kiel fooled the player population with her promise of cheaper Waypoints. I’ll explain. The amount of Silver saved per WP usage was a guesstimated 25%, or at most 2 Silver per lv 80 character. The amount you saved on a per-use basis can be easily offset by killing one enemy, and getting an item drop. A single T5 drop or Fine/Masterwork item would be the value of the savings. Going further, market players could make the same money back without leaving Lion’s Arch. So by doing the maths, the amount of money Kiel supporters claimed they saved within the one month of temporary savings, is equal to the amount of money an Evon supporter makes by spending a couple of minutes on the Trading Post.
No one was tricked as you claim. It is obvious not everyone wants to play Tyria Stock Markets. Instead the majority wanted to explore the world.
Also did you include the price deflation that would occur because of the surplus of items being sold on the trading post? This is something easily overlooked but it is vitally important when one is attempting to project the potential gains and losses. The only argument that you can make that will hold on its own is that the Discounted Keys would of benefit Anet more than the discounted Waypoints. While real currency isn’t the only means of purchasing gems it is at a fixed rate, thus be the easiest to use.
As for your claims that Evon is no hero, need I remind you that Lion’s Arch would have been under the claws of a corrupt Warband leader? Thanks to his quick action, he saved the citizens of LA. But he’s not one to gloat. No, we recognize Evon as a silent hero. One who uses his skills to protect the innocents from within the shadows as Mister E. Tis expected of an honorable charr as Evon. He only wants what’s best for everyone. That’s why he ran for the open Council seat.
It still in the claws of a corrupted warband leader, just one who knows pirates can’t be intimidated through show of force. Also he not Mister E as he has no interest in Divinity’s Reach, which E clearly does. As for the Captain’s Council position, it would have given him a opportunity to make even more money.
Your propaganda tactics will not work on me, I see Evon for what he truly is. The only questions I have for him is what does the Ash Legion want Lion’s Arch money for.

Kasmeer hasn’t really done much but to try and be eye candy.
She broke through the illusion that has hidden the toxic tower from everyone. That alone is a rather huge accomplishment imo.
Breaking illusions is a rather easy task for any mesmer with a little bit of talent. Now if she was an warrior or thief, who don’t use magic, then we can say it a big accomplishment.

It’s probably not relevant but I just went to the guild wars wiki now to refresh my memory on the Realm of Torment the page says it is also called the Nightmare Realm. Could there be a possible link with the nightmare in the dream and the Realm of Torment? Perhaps a lingering presence within Tyria that has manifested in the Pale Tree’s dreamworld?

1) Gems do not require the spending of any real money. You can use in game currency too.
My point still remains that it would cost the player significantly more to buy Black Lion Keys than it would using the waypoints. In the short-term the waypoints seem to be the better bargain, and from my observations of most shoppers in my area these deals sell more than others. I’m actually curious what would of happen if both were tied, would we have gotten both?
2) Evon doesn’t take credit for your work. We fight as a team, so the credit is shared. That’s typically of a great hero like Evon, always making sure us players are recognized for our deeds.
Do you have any proof or is this simply propaganda? Also he isn’t a hero, he is still extorting money from the people of Lion’s Arch just in a more cunning manner.

When you have Evon’s one active, the resulting mechanic is:
While active when Evon is on the Captain’s Council, all Black Lion Keys are discounted, and Lion’s Arch would be well defended.
Unfortunately, people fell for Kiel’s discounted Waypoint costs. People didn’t do the maths, so they didn’t realize that the discount was equivalent to killing one foe, and getting a loot drop. Now Lion’s Arch is being destroyed because Kiel was elected.
Did Evon tell you that? Because that is incorrect. activating either Evon’s or Ellen’s would just give them a 100% of claiming your deeds as their own. Evon doesn’t deserve that credit, he’s a good businessman but your the hero. Why let him bask in your glory? Why sing his praise when you could have him sing yours? Think about it, the city can still be saved. Evon has already written it off and Ellen doesn’t have the resources to retake the city. But we do, think of the glory you could obtained. Think of how the people of Lion’s Arch would whisper your name for all time.
Note to self: Don’t watch Dawn of War videos on youtube prior to commenting I sound a little like Sindri there…just a very little bit.
Anyways on a serious note the mathematics would still favor Ellen. Gems cost real currency whereas waypoints cost in game currency.

While active, each time you kill a foe, you gain 100% chance for Ellen Kiel to take credit for your kill.
So it has the same effect as Evon’s.

What if Scarlet just wants revenge for the bad salad joke?
And all this build up and amassing armies and weapons were just to get back at that Asura?
Mad King also made some Sylvari jokes, perhaps she trying to open a way into his realm.

On another note I’ll bet that Rox does something to impress Rytlock enough that he offers her a place in his warband only for her to turn in down saying something like ‘Turns out I had my own warband all along’ while looking at Braham, Jory, Kasmeer, Taimi and most likey Canach. Very much like the wizard of oz and tin mans heart or the scarecrows brain. Or that someone has to look out for the aformentioned characters. Rytlock will understand and say that it is a standing offer.
Or perhaps she will learn she’s been a member of the warband all this time. Rytlock is a member of the Warband as well as a member of Destiny’s Edge. Perhaps that is the Stone Warband’s task, to form interracial “warbands” which they can call upon to act as liaisons between the Charr High Legions and the other races. He has been given her assignments that seem to be of high important to the Charr race as a whole, such as representing them at the Queen’s Jubilee or bringing him the tail of the Sunless. He also doesn’t seem to care about the fact she brought Braham along to the Queen’s Jubilee, even though she was representing the Black Citadel in his stead. Perhaps it was his idea for her to join the Stone Warband, by simply mentioning an opening to her and how the warband was looking for someone with qualities she possesses. Rytlock does seem the type of commander to indirectly put her on a path he feels will utilize her full potential.

Thaumanova Reactor is near Rata Sum, which is at the Maguuma Jungle, as is Twilight Arbor.
But neither deal with a specific Elder Dragon just Dragon Energy and one of Scarlet’s factories. Dragon Energy can be used for a variety of things that doesn’t necessary mean a Elder Dragon will be introduced.

Just as an aside, I didn’t say Sylvari are dragon minions. I said Mordremoth has influence over them that has been shut away purposefully, most likely by the Pale Tree (and I also believe Caithe and Faolain have something to do with this. The “big secret”). That’s different to just being a minion.
If it does not have complete and utter control over the Sylvari, why allow them to continue existing?
Because he needs them for something. Think about it, they’re inquisitive, curious, and trying to learn everything they can about the peoples of the world. What happens when they’re that engraved in society and know everything, just for Mordremoth to flip the switch? CONGRATULATIONS, nothing can stop you! If this is the gameplan Mordremoth has going, I applaud him/her, they’re playing for the longterm.
I have thought about it and found it to be poorly constructed hypothesis. If the jungel dragon was influencing them there be no nightmare as it would be counter productive to its supposed long term plan. The Sylvari’s purpose wouldn’t be to combat the Elder Dragons, yes each one a rival but they don’t seem to seek the destruction of the other as evident by the fact they didn’t kill one another in the last cycle.

That’s really clutching at straws. There are giant, glowing arrows pointing to the obvious. It is Mordremoth, and it is an Elder Dragon. If I’m wrong, feel free to come back and point fingers. I am absolutely 100% certain of this and nobody will change my mind.
My hypothesis is no more clutching at straws than the Mordremoth hypothesis itself. The hypothesis birth came about from a Combat Log entry, which itself could simply be put there to make it sound cooler than (Earth Attack).
If it is the Jungle Dragon and its name is indeed mordremoth, than the Living Story has been poorly written. The plot has been figured out long in advance. Also there will be outcries of once again the Sylvari take center stage of the Guild Wars 2 story.
