based on the axiom that helping someone is a good thing, regardless of his actions or willfully and unnecessarily being a liability to you. I reject your axiom and collectivist weltanschauung.
There are two flaws in your statement concerning me, I am not stating my world view and I am not a collectivist. It is my opinion that the argument about helping in, as Andred so keenly put it, a video game to be monumentally stupid. I find no issue with one expecting another human being to help them in a real life situation, however video games trend to bring the more negative aspects of a person’s personality to the forefront. This is clearly seen in every mmo “community” in varying degrees, with the usual most vocal component being the so called “hardcore” players versus so called “casual” players. To expect every player within a multiple player game to be caring, courtesy, and helpful is deceiving oneself. Yes the terms of service does enforce politeness to a certain degree, but there is some leeway on what is considered acceptable.
Those who don’t want to resurrect other players don’t, there is no need or means to justify yourself in this matter. Just accept that the other player may view you as selfish, just as that other player should just accept you may view them as lazy. If both sides actually cared about the “community” they would simply agree to disagree. Any argument presented will devolve into a repetitive cycle of rehashed points and petty insults.

Let’s not forget that this whole post was started simply because someone didn’t res OP when they felt they deserved to be ressed.
I died in the middle of a jumping puzzle last night. One of those stone heads that shoots flames. I think I’m gonna start a thread to complain about all the people doing the JP that ran by and didn’t stand in the middle of the cone of flame I died in and res me so I wouldn’t have to waypoint back.
There been threads made by people complaining about people asking to be resurrected during the Queen’s Jubilee. I think it fair that their opposition may make similar threads. Who knows maybe the threads will actually be useful and present ideas to the developers.

You’re way over-analyzing this.
In your opinion. However I wasn’t weighing in on the whole “us versus them” mentality of this argument. I was weighing in on the original poster’s idea. As for my opinion on the whole argument, its monumentally stupid. It boils down to sounding like this “If you were really a considered person you would waypoint and run back so I don’t have to sacrifice my time to resurrect your character, it’s only x amount of seconds of your time which is nothing compared to the x amount of time I would have to give up helping you.” “Well if you were a truly considerable person that time wouldn’t matter because you helped another human being.” Notice the circular and repetitive pattern of the argument?

I imagine that the statement “we don’t rez the dead” is not the plan the Dev’s have for reviving people. I remember when for the first year you could guarantee people would rez you Dead or Downed in the middle of a fight. Certain groups and fights forced this mentality into the norm.
You want to revert the mentality back to where everyone was friendly and didn’t lose their temper because their so called “precious time” is supposedly being wasted helping another human being? Well as several others have said a buff isn’t going to do any good, in fact it might just make the problem worse. Changing how a event scales with player death is a step in the right direction, but not even a baby step in that direction more like a tiptoe or poke in that direction.
When Guild Wars 2 first came out acquiring loot was very consistent, in my opinion anyways, regardless if you did particularly great at an event or failed the event. Sure there may have been a few events that gave more money and karma if one got a gold on it instead of a bronze, but it wasn’t anything that would cause certain ‘components’ of this ‘community’ to get angry over.
Now enter the Living Story and its episodic content. Now I didn’t play the first part, my graphics card and the game client were how should I say, not on speaking terms with one another until Halloween, so I can’t say if this was present for those portions of the living story. However I was present during the Queen’s Jubilee, where I did note this problem. There are two ‘reasons’ that were given by those guilty of this behavior. The first was what been already said here their ‘time was precious’ and that if you were truly a considerate person would just waypoint and not bother them as they try to acquire as much gold as possible. The second, which to me is slightly bit more understandable than the previous, was that they were trying to acquire the minipet offered by completing the event and there was only a small window of opportunity to acquire it.
And here is where we come to what I believe is the actual cause for the problem, either intentionally or unintentionally the developers made loot acquisition a top priority. As a result the ‘community’ exhibits traits of what some have called the “WoW-factor” or “Wow-mentality”, where they adopt an ‘us versus them’ mentality.
It similar to what we see in pvp aspect of the ‘community’ in the whole “casuals versus supposedly hardcore” players argument. Fortunately solving the "don’t resurrect dead players’ problem is much easier than the mess pvp aspect of gaming ‘communities’ generate.
Remove the tier reward system and just give a static reward for completing world events. This would be less stressful for players, particular those who dare step up to try leading the horde of players doing the world event. These individuals can focus on leading their guild or party, since there no longer a ‘need’ to acquire the best possible outcome other than for bragging rights. Now it won’t instantly revert the ‘community’ to how it supposedly was back in the first year, but it would encourage it to develop towards that goal.

The OP is definitively right … ANet gets blamed for every kitten the whole time but its pretty seldom that someone makes a post just to thank them for several (thousands) hours of playtime.
I join in and say : Thank you ArenaNet
So since I don’t have several thousands hours of playtime on Guild Wars 2 I can bash Anet right? I’m just clarifying what you mean….ok I’m really just being a smart aleck.
LET THE POOR THING REST IN PEACE! I will check Arah story EVERY DAY just to make sure his body stays there. OK?
How do you know you won’t be the reason he will be resurrected?
I need to use more sarcasm
I knew you were being sarcastic…I just was being chaotic.
Ehh, I suppose I can grant that. I just think it’s quite unlikely given the Master’s duties and their public persona would make it difficult to go skulking around and quasi-groping sexy DR detectives.
Or perhaps she isn’t the true “master of whispers” but rather the figurehead claiming the title? Also the physical encounter could have been to place either a magical or technological bug on her, leaning towards magical as the spell wouldn’t be washed off or otherwise compromised unless Marjory was to actually die or entered a region where magical effects was negated.
(obviously a Mesmer then! CONFIRMED!!!!!!)
Incorrect it only confirms the person was not a necromancer, it does not even confirm if the person was a spellcaster. It could have easily been a rogue, or even a profession that may be revealed later on. Perhaps the person was a ghost that was brought from the mists by magic similar to what bound the ghosts of Ascalon, hence why no “necromancy” was detected and why the person requires outside aid. Perhaps it the Queen herself using Marjory like the unwitting pawn she is to be her dagger against the Ministry?
Marjory, a character that particularly frustrates me. I want so much more for her, i really do. sigh Let’s examine her.
Ok, she’s in love with Kasmeer, a seeming prodigy of Mesmer magic, and she has weapons imbued with the spirits of the dead. Also she has an investigation agency! What? Developement? Goals? What?! Oh…The ONLY information i could find on this Agency is that it’s run by Kasmeer and herself…And it’s in the Dead End. That’s IT.
Why, why why why ;
The short story about Marjory reveals she founded her private investigations to resolve the case of a murdered boy, which the Ministry Guard above her rank covered up. During this short story she had an encounter with, supposedly, Mister E. However that information doesn’t really offer much more to flesh out her character.
Using your earlier posts as examples we know little about her.
Is she a patriot, quitting the Ministry Guard because of the corruption and threat posed to the Queen? Did she quit the ministry out of a sense of duty to the victim? Because the stranger she encountered managed to convince her within those brief moments? or was it simply out of spite of being prohibit in the investigation by the corruption in the Ministry? What progress, if any since she doesn’t seem to be an effective detective in my opinion, has she made towards resolving the case of the murdered boy?
Caithe also said that her wyld hunt is completed, which was to kill Zhaitan.
“Hmmm…How can one kill what is already dead?” Warriv, Diablo II
Perhaps the Elder Dragons function in a manner similar to the Archdemons of Dragonage, kill the body its spirit simply leaps to another body to “reform” unless attempting to possess a tainted body that possesses a soul. That would appease both sides, as there is a physical body that has been destroyed but there is the potential to make Zhaitan a more satisfying fight.
A lot better than Sylvari being Tyria’s Immune System against all Elder Dragons, were you to ask me.
A weak plot if you asked me. Why is it weak? Well one of the many things I’ve been told both for a D&D Campaign and a Novel is not to give the answer to your audience, such as leaving so many clues they already have the major reveals figured out long before you reach that point or the answer is in plain sight obvious to anyone who wishes to know. A few clues here and there is find, so long as they are direct enough the audience sees them but vague enough that no definite conclusions could be drawn from it.
What should have happened when this theory started gaining popularity was Anet seeding misinformation that supported the Immune System idea, or at least information that grew into opposing hypotheses of rivaling popularity. This of course assuming this was truly planned from the start, but then again looking at how it was presented from beginning of the game to now I am left thinking this statement is an attempt to deflect some of the backlash that may arise from the community. Another possibility is to give the community something to lash out at while they tinker on something in the background in relative peace.
Shhhh… Don’t say that too loud, it might become canon.
With Anet saying “it was planned from the start” after it does.
Apprentice: What are we going to do tonight, Snaff?
Snaff: The same thing we do every night, Apprentice. TRY TO TAKE OVER THE WORLD.

that if Glint’s egg will hatch a Dragon that is on our side, then it might conveniently enough be able to absorb the magic that is released when an Elder Dragon dies, i.e. making it stronger.
Question what’s stopping the Elder Dragon Energy from transforming Glint’s child into yet another Elder Dragon bent on consuming all life on the planet?
Well I want to rip that Florggi’s head off. In that very wrong text, there is atleast 1 right point he got, or even 2
So you angry because the truth was said?
The majority of humans are easily convinced to perform dangerous, and often times fatal, things for just a few words of praise or some trinket that will collect dust upon their walls. I don’t know how this is insulting or offensive, that like a Charr saying me pointing out they have a tail is offensive to their species.
Also there are actually 3 points that he was correct about. The third is that krewe members are valuable and not easily replaced. A bookah, lab assistant, test subject etc. is very easily replaced in terms of money and time one would theoretically expend on such a endeavor. This individual doesn’t necessary have to be human, just they the ones who normally leap at such opportunities of reckless endangerment.
Vegeta, what does the scouter say about his power level?
It reads 1,200. Nothing to be alarm about Nappa it just one of your Saibamen wearing a wig.
Can we bury this? Start talking about something else, like the benefits of charr-hide rugs or how to drink norn under the table?
Oh those are easy, well for an Asura anyways. Against Elder Dragons Charr-hide is as useless as using a spoon as a melee weapon. How to drink a Norn under the table, simply either become a Norn or replace your stomach with one that can neutralize the effects of alcohol.
It could also be possible the Asura don’t actually truly want to take over the world. Just look at the Arcane Council, they actually hate the job as it hinders their ability to conduct experiments or invent. Asura do understand the need for a government and peacekeepers, but their true joy is simply tinkering away in their laboratories undisturbed.
My headcanon is frequently not safe for the forums.
Can you give an example of headcanon that is actually safe for the forums?
I really don’t understand what you mean by “agency” in this context however.
I think they mean that Braham doesn’t show the ability to make his own decisions, that he is rather a minion-type character who just tags along because he told to. That how I understood it anyways, but I’m probably wrong.
raises a hand Wasn’t this thread supposed to be about sylvari?
It was.
The Emperor Protects.
Having a loaded bolter also works…lol
But it is you meat sack who are the foolish while we are the wise
we will lay waste to your kingdoms and cleanse the lands of you meat sacks, Ascalon, Orr, and Lion’s Arch, they’ll look like nothing compared to what we will do
once all is done, we will claim what ever is left in the name of the Sylvari and build are kingdoms upon your ashes
Yawn are all talking weeds so full of hot air? Seriously I could fill the skies with airships using the hot air Scarlet, the Nightmare Court, and you exhale. Scarlet was equally arrogant and foolish, where is she now? Oh that’s right she been reduced to mulch. She has soured relations between your race and the other races, who been aiding you with fighting the elder dragons. If you Sylvari were so powerful you wouldn’t need our help to send a few cranky evil dragons to the grave.
The wise will bow to our superiority <evil laugh>.
The wise never bow to the foolish.
I highly doubt the white mantle are behind the separatists who are killing charr. They don’t care about that.
True the Charr are of no concern to them, however their backing of the Separatists doesn’t necessary require them to care about the old war. The Queen has shown an interest in forging a truce with the Charr and would likely expend both manpower and resources into ensuring the truce transpire as smoothly as possible. Disrupting her efforts could soften up her defenses, since I doubt they would commit themselves to another open battle given their previous defeats.
Actually, we’ve seen the separatists use weaponry that no other charr has shown thus far. I am actually very curious as to whom they have inventing these little marvels of mayhem.
Briarrose the not-so-evil but still equally insane evil twin sister of Scarlet she never mentioned…or Scarlet herself.
semi-jokes aside it could be White Mantle remnants, not necessary that Minister, supplying the tech or even the Mursaat.
Honestly?
Because they are dull, uninteresting, and silly race. Whose only purpose in the game was Trahearne, who is the worst character I have ever witnessed in a storyline of a RTS/MMO. He blatantly steals the story, all to advertise how “awesome” Slyvari are when infact all he does is highlight all my gripes with Slyvari.
Let me list them;
- The whole concept is flawed, the fact they are called Slyvari to begin with suggests a long living elf like race that is both wise and knowledgable. Instead they are children, this left me dumbfounded and simply made me say, “So you called Dryads Slyvari, Ok… can I kill them all now?”
- I am of the belief and opinion that they replaced Tengu, which to me is a huge mistake. All because the head lore keeper liked the concept of them. The thing is, Tengu have been around since GW1, not only that but their history is rich and colourful. Full of culture, lore, loss, victory, and the fact GW1 had a event dedicated to Tengu made them highly popular and desired. In Slyvari what’s interesting I mean, magical trees? Pfft. Yeah no I seen this 100 times before. Wlyd Hunt interest? Again seen it before yawn countless times. Trahearne does this very well you see not only does he make you go on a magical adventure with a tree but also constantly brings up the fact his Wlyd hunt is to heal Orr and that is why he must now take your place as the main character, that and the stupid sword which in the cutscene didn’t actually do ANYTHING.
- What do they bring to the table, I mean honestly. What do they bring, they have no redeeming features (except the snare), their living story is utterly love story after love story (No No in a MMO) and serves no reason other than to make them seem like the child-like race they are meant to be.
- It makes no sense, in GW1 we had a fair few expansions and you try to lead us to believe they exsisted all that time? Yet we never encountered a single one. Yeah no, this is bad story telling 101.
- Trahearne
- Trahearne
Sorry but trahearne deserves to mentioned twice in his own sperate points dedicated to the joy of Trahearne.
I find it disturbing that people claim the Slyvari to be original despite the fact they are the least original race in the game. While Tengu are the most.
The Sylvari did exist in Guild Wars 1, you know that seed the centaur planted? That the pale tree in its infant form. The hooks we are seeing now utilized in guild wars 2 have been left all over the place throughout Guild Wars 1with Eyes of the North alluding to their birth at the end.
As for your argument against the Sylvari, it can be applied to the Tengu. What do they bring to the table? Nothing particularly unique, we already have a “monstrous race” represented by the Charr. Their personal story will probably revolve around their politics, which don’t make interesting stories within the mmo scene. Also something to consider is that they seem based on Japanese culture this probably would require Anet to overhaul the Tengu significantly in order for them to be tolerable for release in China.
Pick a way we’re supposed to handle it and stick with it.
But then that would contradict their signature.
Greatswords ARE a thing. A longsword is 1handed.
Those appear to be Claymores, which translates into something akin to Greatsword (claidheamh=sword Mor=sword in Irish I think). A one-handed European sword is called either an Arming Sword, A Knight’s Sword, or Knightly sword and is identifiable by its short hilt, large enough for a single hand to grip, and shorter blade (about the length of a Katana blade perhaps slightly larger). Longswords on the other hand have longer hilts that allow the wielder to use both hands to make more powerful swings as well as having notably longer blades. Certain types of Longswords can be used one-handed, if the wielder is proficiently skilled, however there are types such as the Zwihander and Claymore designed exclusively for two-handed use.
Magic of the FoeFire on Jormag and melt him!
And then the Foefire shall “resurrect” Jormag as a vengeful Elder Dragon ghost that would require the containment equipment of the Charr. However could the Charr, even with the aid of the Asura, build such a containment unit for such a large and powerful ghost?
But ANet wants you to think the Separatists(and Renegades for that matter) are bad. That wanting to continue fighting for your home, in this case, is inherently a bad thing.
How does that fit in to your premise?
Because it not in the best interest of their species to continue a war that been essentially a deadlock, especially considering there are six dragons with huge armies that want to consume magic and life on the planet. Survival of the species should take top priority over grudges, Ascalonians are human not dwarves after all they don’t have a book of grudges.
And yet here it is, bow-users alongside gun-users, and in the context of Guild Wars, nothing seems out of place. Not to mention spears can already be used underwater. By your logic, why should anyone use swords, hammers, or any other melee weapon when everyone can just shoot them with “Iron Legion’s gun”?
Nice attempt at mockery, bookah, but you’re way off the mark here. Spears and javelins would be an awesome addition to this game!
By using logic including additional melee weapons make more sense for the game to including additional range weaponry, particularly javelins and other types of thrown projectiles. In a prolonged battle ammunition for bows and guns are spent quite rapidly, ammunition for throwing javelins and spears would be exhausted even more rapidly. For this reason it is logical for soldiers equipped with range weapons to also carry a melee weapon. While a javelin or throwing spear can double as a melee weapon, the limit of javelins and spears the soldier can carry into battle limits it role in the modern Tyrian battlefield. Of course from a game mechanics perspective there actually little reason, beside perhaps the time required to create the animations, for any weapon to be excluded as game mechanics make ammunition inexhaustible.

We need a HUGE Quaggan Wedding! That would be soooo CooooOOOooool!
~Milly
Only if Scarlet returns from the dead and utterly destroys the wedding.
Regarding Scarlet – all we really know is that something was already inside her mind when she went into Omadd’s device. That does not mean that that ‘something’ is an inherent part of sylvari nature. It may be something that was pushed into the Dream by a source independent of the sylvari that Caera happened to have come into contact with. It could be that the dragon or its champion had been specifically targeting Caera, and Omadd’s device sabotaged her defenses. The ‘sylvari are descended from dragon minions and Omadd’s device unlocked that nature in Scarlet’ interpretation is only one, and as I’ve described above, all of the other evidence for the dragon minion hypothesis has been debunked.
Could it also be possible that Caera had picked up her unwanted “passenger” prior to Omadd’s experiment? The Sylvari physiology is not well understood, even by the Sylvari themselves. So could it be possible their physiology has a containment protocol in case of a mental hijacking, say from a demon or something that possesses the body in a similar fashion?
In a thread on the Lore Forums I read there are quite a few beings whose corruption and influence appear similar to the Elder Dragons, so could it be possible one such being was behind the corruption?
Also none of the enemies really seem threatening I’m too used to warhammer lore.
Even if you weren’t used to Warhammer Lore the Elder Dragons and their minions appear excessively passive. Even Scarlet and her alliances didn’t appear the least bit of a threat.

Interesting. I wonder where they are heading.
To sacrifice themselves to Arachnia since they by the apple orchard with the spiders.
I’m not the one who said you factually know that it’s been debunked, so I’m not the one who needs to explain my “hypothesis,” as I don’t have one. I’m saying what I’ve observed leads me to believe it is true, you stated factually that all evidence has been debunked.
If you don’t even know what has been debunked and how, then I don’t think you can make that claim. But by all means, carry on.
Actually factually all evidence currently presented in support of the hypothesis has been debunked, this is why I asked you to state your evidence as the manner you posts come off to me seem to indicate you think you have evidence that may have been overlooked. As for not being able to tell you what has been debunked, no offense but how many of threads about this topic has been made? You expect me to keep track of this ridiculous hypothesis in great detail? Especially when I’m not even one of the posters actively debunking this.
Conclusion: The very exsistance of the sylvari is the reason for the nighmare to exsist. It’s always been a part of them.
Through this logic there exist another possible explanation. The nightmare isn’t dragon corruption or dragon influence upon the Sylvari but rather the darker aspects of the Sylvari made manifest within the Dream. If this is the case than for the Sylvari to “fall to nightmare” is for a Sylvari to succumb to any number of negative emotions. Essentially the Sylvari are Guild Wars 2 equivalent of Jedi if one were to look at this hypothesis in a particular way. To follow the Light path one must adhere to the teachings of the tablet while to follow dark is to give oneself into their darker emotions aka the Nightmare.
But I doubt this is and the “its dragon corruption/nightmare thus Sylvari are Dragon minions” are correct.
Um, you are the one who stated categorically that it is not true and has been debunked. I’m not stating anything – I ‘m asking for YOU to elaborate on your assertions as fact. I have never seen any categorical proof of it being debunked, nor any evidence of it. As far as I’m aware, BOTH sides are speculative at this point, though I personally find much more evidence in favor than against. Since you’re the one stating it’s been thoroughly debunked, I’d like you to elaborate.
Clearly you haven’t been paying attention to the various arguments over the matter. Also it is not my assertions that I’m presenting as fact but rather the fact it has been debunked by several other posters. All information I have seen those in favor of Sylvari being dragon minions either use Wooden’s Potatoes information, which as I mentioned several other posters have debunked with actual evidence in game, or Scarlet’s insanity. My participation in these debates have been minor, and even then have been mostly presenting alternative hypotheses that have been debunked by Konig and other posters.
I would look up the information but it seems you would only waver it as “speculation”. Also the fact you didn’t provide any information suggests it the usual information those in favor use to try and prove their hypothesis.
surely the norn aren’t as dextrous as humans? Bigger limbs = lex flexibility = worse throw rotation = less proficient at spear throwing?
By their portions they are just larger humans, which means their proficiency throwing a spear would be about the same as a human’s. Of course the Norn would craft larger sized spears in accordance to their size, which will inflict more damage as Atiar mentioned.
humans used spears for thousands of years. the human body adapted to throwing spears.
so why can’t humans make spears in gw2? why must we try to stand toe to toe with norns and charrs while we swing tiny swords and try to swing heavy hammers when we should be throwing a spear into their chestsi say no more! i say we need our spears!
Because Norn would just be as adept at throwing spears too due to their similarities with humanity.
It’s not. People who think it’s a big deal have clearly never lost/been close to losing someone they love. Isn’t a kiss just natural in a situation like this? o.o
Or maybe they realize they’ll probably still be stuck in This Mode
What evidence? Frankly, I play mostly sylvari and everything I’ve seen indicates the opposite.
Is this actually solid, meaning without a shadow of a doubt, evidence or is this things that has been used previous in speculation threads and have been debunked? For the time being, to my knowledge, there is no actual evidence stating without a shadow of a doubt that Sylvari are Elder Dragon minions just things that individuals have taken as fact in other speculation threads which have been thoroughly debunked by others.
If there is information that you believed is being overlooked or not focused on, by all means share it with us.

The idea was more that plants take in CO2 and give out breathable air – the reverse of animals. So theoretically (we don’t know if sylvari function this way!), a human and a sylvari could breath into each other without issue.
I realized that after the headache from the coughing fit had subsided. Anyways there is a problem, my character’s an Asura with an large mouth. Then again I wouldn’t be found participating in the assault as I’m not a fan of underwater environments.
Find your nearest sylvari and kiss for a long time. Problem solved. :P
I don’t know why, but this made me laugh till I got into a coughing fit. Out of curiosity, can Sylvari actually breath underwater without the rebreater?
My opinion of who’s going to be the toughest dragon to kill? The deep sea dragon. Why?
- It forced out the karka, largos, and krait. They are among the top dog races hands down. And it did so to the krait when it just woke up. No other dragon managed such – even Jormag took over 4 years before affecting the norn after waking up, and Kralkatorrik may have caused the Dragonbrand, but he didn’t really do the charr much damage.
- It has near instant access to the krait obelisks. They’re compared to the Bloodstones which contain a lot of magic.
- It has had nothing to confront it – unlike the other dragons, after it displaced the krait, largos, karka, and by extension the quaggans 50 years ago, the DSD has seemingly been without conflict.
Not to mention the Deep Sea Dragon already has a massive advantage in naval combat. Sure the Pact may recruit the Largos prior to going into battle, and I guess the quaggans as well, but the bulk of the Pact’s forces have quite a disadvantage in underwater combat. Knock off our rebreather and we be struggling to find a source of air. There also the possibility that it would pick the battleground to be in the deepest portions of the ocean, where the pressure of those depths could prove problematic not only to our bodies but also our equipment.
Considering how the new dragon was able to terrify Scarlet and drive her insane despite being as powerful as she was, it seems this new dragon is pretty kitten.
We don’t have any evidence that confirms this new Elder Dragon was behind Scarlet’s actions, as in was the entity that was driving her. All information we currently have just shows us it was the one that benefited the most from her activities, particularly her drilling the leyline nexus beneath Lion’s Arch.
No if Scarlet was any of the other races there will still be hatred for the Sylvari. Where does it stem from, hard to say. Some individuals hate the Sylvari simply due to the central focus they seem to have in the story of Guild Wars 2. Others are convinced the Sylvari origins lay with the Jungle Dragon, despite current evidence debunking this.
You mean like some of the enemies found within the original Guild Wars? I recall one plant creature having a humanoid form but it appeared to be comprised solely of vines or something to that effect.
Thankfully I am a very patient man.
Norn NPCs? More scarred-up PCs, please. The only real option for a battle-scarred sylvari (I have four male sylv) is the noseless face, and I’d rather not go muppet-face just yet.
And there aren’t any real face options for male asura, just “terribly old.”
Isn’t that how it works, first they introduce an npc with the new scarred look before releasing it for the players to buy those makeup kits? As for the Asura I was rather surprised by the lack of scarred faces, you would think the Asura would acquire quite a few scars from lab accidents.
