I also don’t need to mention how the newest skins in this game are either obtained through PvE contents or Gem Store. No PvP method possible~

PVP isn’t monetized at all..
Devs realised that monetizing WvWvW was much easier…

I don’t like to compare apples to oranges but look at MOBA and how they’ve monetized pvp…

Maybe letting pveers use their gemshop skins in pvp is the answer?
The easiest way to do this is to make Gem skins unlockable in the Achievement bar.. Got the skin from the gem shop?
You got it in pvp AND pve.

Just look at the achievement weapons, you unlock em you got em, can’t salvage em either so you can’t exploit the PVP mystic forge for useless components.

All gem store weapons need to work like this, there’s too many kittenty pve+rs running around saying they don’t wanna look like peasants since they already bought so many skins from the gemshop for pve+.

I’m not saying give em their cultural armor and skillgendaries.. but atleast make their gem shop items transferable (even if they’ve already used them)

Same thing with PVP gemshop skins..

You think nickle and diming people forcing them to choose where they can use their gem shop skins is a good idea?.. It’s really not.

Maybe there is one or two guys running around with a greatsaw on each character in pvp/pve but honestly I don’t think so.

Even with my above comments about condy-clears..
I would say that mesmer is definitely underperforming at the moment..

I don’t think there is really any situation that I could not be doing better in as a necro/spiritRanger/Ccwarrior and even most cases Thief (although they can’t node guard as well as I can).

What you guys don’t seem to get is the basic design strategy is to get everyone to play asura and like it, #esports2020.

Necros are pretty tanky but right now it’s faceroll crit&condi&Fear meta..

Depending where you are on the solo que ranking you’ll see different metas,
Like; below 500 everybody just runs random things like elementalists..
400-300 Balanced teams no more randoms or atleast rarely..(Funnest imho)
After around 200-300 You start getting Necro/warrior/ranger teams only with a thief or two littered inbetween.. and of course an anomoly once in a while like a mesmer. (Ultrarare)

Rankings are completely random! Lose a few games and you can go from 200 to 672

With 2 condi clears Im doing okay…

top 100 is basically a lie.. I have a friend who spirit rangered his way up there and just basically stopped playing, still on top after like a week.. IF you look at it it’s a lot of people who don’t actually play the game but won a few matches and then stopped.

As soon as more people start using Mine or any other tankier mesmer build you’re gonna start seeing a lot more tears..

I was at 230 one day 460 the next 330 the other day 570 since yesterday and probably streaked below 300 today with like 5-6 win streak. so I have no idea how these things work my only clue is badly.

It’s surprisingly effective.. CryOfConfusion shatter illusionarymage scepter 3 can do serious damage.

I switched to nightmare, but I’ll be testing Orrian too.
Nightmare’s a good fit; I get 1 second longer confusion 0.5 second longer burning.
Lyssa could work well too. I think 2 condi clears is the best way to go in this meta..

Look at Necro scepter; BLEEEDS and also procs burning weakness and awesome sauce

Condition mesmers?.. w..what?.. You mean countless’s build?…

If you main Necro Warrior Spirit Ranger or Guardian GREAT
If you main Thief and STILL enjoy spamming one or two buttons
in rapid succession GREAT

If you main Mesmer Engi or that class who hasn’t been seen since the last patch,
Not so great, maybe wait a month to come back.

The ideal meta is one where there are interrupt builds and they are viable.
(i.e when you actually have to pay attention to your opponents)
But this wombo combo game can be fun I guess… who ever gets theirs off first wins..

Well, that is how it used to work you could custumize your gear a bit more…

But there are inbetweens.. you can take Berserker amulet on Mesmer for instance and actually gain some surviveability (IMHO) due to vigor crits.

Your build should be malleable enough to compensate for just pure stats..

You can take zerker jewel and roll an s/d thief.. also fine with surviveability..

Or you can roll a Warrior, take off all your gear put on heal sig and run around /laugh
/dancing (Hyperbole and sarcasm was used to craft this sentence.)

TL;DR:Survivability comes from abilities not from stats.

Still more management then passive play with dodges added in..

The problem is guardian is hard to play correctly… this looks like another spirit ranger; lets give someone 10000 passives and watch him go!
