If you’re pleased with the Job that the testers are currently doing, good for you. Most of the community isn’t.
It isn’t silly to offer help. I’m asking that ANet do a better job in PvP developement, which is a direct boon for me (as I enjoy PvP). I don’t mind offering something small (5 dollars a month) to make that easier for them, because it could potentially result in a better situation for us all – Anet making money from PvP, faster, better, more balanced, more stable PvP updates for the community. The comparison to CoD is asinine, and a poor attempt to discredit the idea.
Paying for the chance to debug/bugtest is asinine, it discredits itself no need for comparisons.

Skyhammer is by far my favorite map: after doing the rest of the maps so many times skyhammer gives me a chance to break out of my weapons/utilities and have fun.
Can you add something different for Necro options? Why isn’t there an option that says “Necros AoE spammy nature needs to go” ? Thats my main issue with necros.
Also, Berserker Stance could be adjusted to a smaller duration, to reward skillful timing and punish spamming. Just like Guardian’s Stand Your Ground, huge stability duration, for what?
PvP NEEDS lower durations on these kind of skills, the cooldowns could be adjusted accordingly to keep the overall uptime, but Anet needs to stop encouraging this “use and forget”, or spammy nature of combat. Having a 5 second berserker stance or 2-3 second aoe stability separates the good players from the BEST players.
Anet, lets make skill matter more in this game. Decrease durations so they have more impact when used at the right time, and punish people spamming them.
I can second this. Stability is the noob boon #1 when it has long up time. If it had short up time, you’d need to know when to use it.
Isn’t the answer to that “3.Staff cooldowns need to be increased” though?
Zerker stance duration decrease, is one of the options…

Is healing signet really the culprit though?
Are you sure it isn’t the combination of healing signet/adrenaline heal/banner/regen from other sources? AND the ability to still deal crazy dps/stunlock?
If It’s voted as the problem I think we should probably have a poll for how much it needs to be reduced :P

Hi! I played wow from vanilla to TBC;
The game was fun but I played a character meant for 12 year olds and the mentally handicapped so maybe I wasn’t getting the full experience?Wow is alot harder to play well than guild wars.
Metally handicapped 12 year olds…like Spirit Rangers, Necro’s, S/D theif or more recently Warriors.
Downed State is an abomination. That’s one of the worst things about this game. What annoyed me about wow is all the addons, macro’s and stupid amount of binds just to be compeditive.
Actually.. I’d say it’s REAAAAAALLLY easy to play rogue/shadowpriest/shaman…. which is what I played..

A single elim death match would be pretty lackluster
Not because Conquest is great or something, I don’t feel it is. However the length of time team any 5v5 or 8v8 team fight actually goes on for is rather small.

They could relax on the restrictions for gear however then again the specs would be min-maxed regardless.
I don’t know why you feel compelled to advertise WvW here. Everyone bought the game already if they want to play WvW they will if not they will not. If not for food buffs WvW is pretty much the same at it’s core once you gear up, it’s large scale conquest and you’ll find good and bad players on either side. “The most competitive players in WvW” is hyperbole and you can continue to preach it if you want but you’re discrediting yourself.

I can’t agree with wvwvw being balanced outside of even gear grind/food here’s a copy pasta of something I wrote earlier;
WvW is inherently imbalanced; you use pve versions of skills not pvp versions of skills; You have 15(?) broken pve only skills, broken food buffs, broken Stat allocations, broken Sigils, Broken Runes, Broken pve bundle items, imbalanced gear(Ascended legendaries etc).
Zergs.
No one looks that warrior is a single and permanent target.
- No have minions.
- No have invul.
- No have stealth.
- No have teleport.
- No have blind spamm.
- No have combo fields.
- No have easy access to protection, retaliation and aegis.
- No have good heal.This. Nerf healing signet and destroy warrior.
- endure pain , beserker stance ( sort of invuln.)
- 1skill kills, ( who needs minions when you hit everything down in 1-3 skills)
- stun aoe chains, ( its better then blind/ protection/ retaliation or aegis)
- 2 times the healing a thief has ( should other closecombat characters get a boost to healing then ?)
- movement skills that stun/or dps targets on low coolodowns + good swiffness uptime ( gs )
- and dont forget the stat advantage a heavy armor character already has. ( more toughness for free )
put it on par with the other closecombat characters , or boost the other closecombat characters .
- Endure Pain and Zerk Stance are ridiculous. Compare with Blurred Frenzy or anothers skills that provides true invulnerability for more uptime and with less cd.
- 200 extra toughness not compare with protection, stealth, invul, perma evade, teleport spamm, minions (not, they aren’t one hit kill).
- Stun AoE where? Hammer?, on of most weak weapon of warrior. One skill that requires full adrenaline to grants 2s stun. Not compare with CC spam that others classes have.
- 2x Thief heal?
Thief heal when hits. Thief heal while in stealth. Thief heal when use iniciative. Thief heals when bleeding. Thief heals when uses shadow refuge. Thief heal when breath. Thief heals with each action.
1. Blurred frenzy was nerfed a patch cycle ago…. On a cloth class with almost no defense at all?
2. 400-1200 hp regen is up there for me; especially combined with zerk stance and endure pain and shield stance. Warrior also has ridiculous stability up time.
3. cc spam that other classes have? lol Warrior deals crazy damage AND ccs AND regens/invulns like crazy. One at a time these things are balanced and even fair, all together in one package? No Ty.

This is my load out just a bit different then ninjabiscuit’s I call it countless’s build v1.5.
Look up countless’s build ;3 I’m doing pretttyyyyyyyyyy good in my bracket and against players I duel who are way above my bracket.

Had even one of you left to cap far as soon as you got the message that they were zerging your close point, you would probably have been able to get a cap; split them off close; etc etc..

They really are forgetting WvW is PvP too.
That means you are playing against other players.
That means you are playing against other meta du jour builds.
That means a potential buff has not only repercussions in sPvP play, but also WvW.
Ele staff in WvW is already extremely strong, I don’t see how they can buff it without making blobs and stacking even more ridiculous. Obviously staves aren’t in sPvP because of the nature of the universally disliked Conquest game mode.
Well, Conquest is only one part of GW2, and even disregarding WvW (and PvE) balance, if sPvP is ever expanded to other game modes you can’t still solely balance around Conquest.WvW = distant third fiddle at ArenaNet.

GvG people are starting to annoy me. It would be a fun game mode, but two questions:
1. Why do some nutjobs spam GvG questions in every developer stream? Yeah, like the lady who is showing us the new crafting will know about that.
2. Why do they post GvG comments here? I will laugh when GvG becomes a PvP gamemode and you get stuck with the lame PvP gear choices.

One problem is that it would be much too easy to chain CC. You can do it now, but you have to know how to get your puppy into position to leap. Make it a button press and GG everyone can do it.
Because warriors, necros, and guardians have such a hard time chaining any CC they have….
Those classes can’t do it while CC’d themselves though; but ranger has a pet that can CC WHILE cc’d, the only exception being necro elite pet; which if you take out your elite to do AND your pet cc goes on a 45 second cooldown I’d be okay with.

Three most common professions in WvWvW guild group: hammer + sword/warhorn shout warrior, support guardian and staff elementalist. This has been the overpowered WvWvW meta since Autumn 2012. The only thing which has changed has been the rise of necromancers.
Arenanet: Make a proper WvWvW, pve and spvp/tpvp skill split. Stop buffing those things, which do not need any buffs in pve or WvWvW.
Warrior has been king of pve since launch and even more buffs to warrior…
It IS way more work to manage skills which are different across many aspects of the game. It is borderline not viable as Jon Sharp says. It is similar to a database where you repeat data and then you can get clerical errors and inefficiencies when the data has to change.
If they do it your way and split everything then whenever they make a change to ANY skill then they have to test how this changes things in many different ways because the classes will have diverged so much based on skill splits.
They have to separate the game modes, Sorry, but what is overpowered in SPvP is not overpowered in World vs World because the same mechanic of standing on a small kitten point doesn’t exist in World vs World to win a match.

If they put in runes of the traveler and the ridiculous condi meta ends I might have to switch to them ; Mesmer benefits a LOT from runes of traveler.
Still I find them to be broken…..and great for all classes.
The thing with Runes of Speed is ; you get what you pay for ; Speed
And a vitality bonus
15% boon Duration
30 stats x6= 180 stat points.
6% crit damage and 10% condi duration
on TOP of 25% speed is broken.
If you want the speed, you can give up all the stats and get that rune, not even a problem.

Can the splitter give a skin varient which I can transfer to PVP from PVE? if the item was originally a skin ?
Right now the item that it says it will give me is some lame 127-300 damage greatsword with the skin already applied

Really the only change I would make to warrior is increased skull crack cast time. It’s too strong of an ability to be that quick. I honestly believe that would put warrior at a perfect balance.
Nerfing/fixing sigil of para would also work, but I think changing it would be too broad of a stroke. Too many other ccs are just not strong enough without it working as it is.
So its fine when warrior has a 3/4 sec or even 1.75! sec casttime, but its not fine when they have 1 skill which is insta like other classes? Want telegraphed skills? Start working on rest classes with their zoo and mother. Warrior actually has too much telegraphed skills compared to rest.
You’re right actually. I’d love to see the devs take a pass at animations and cast times for all classes.
Think about skull crack compared to eviscerate though… maybe don’t give it quite as long of a cast, but at least give it a recognizable animation.
I’m still not convinced healing sig is a problem. I still think it’s situationally effective (low damage fights), and any nerf will make it useless again. The biggest problem with it would be the active effect is too weak compared to the passive. Perhaps you could trade some of the passive healing for a bigger active heal; it would keep it at about the same overall strength, but more interesting. Not to mention it would stop the HPS QQ.
No, its counter-play is poison.
The biggest problem right now is Sigil of Para giving 33%-100% More effectiveness to stuns.
Warrior is fine. As stated in the SOTG.
I remember one time they said Thief was fine in SOTG then nerfed it the next day.
These buffs make me somewhat angry; like that time they gave mesmer 3 might per shatter, totally disconnected from the community.

If I had to rank the classes by imbalance in the current meta Warrior/necro/thief would be at the top, and the survey is so far reflecting my expectations..
Honestly if more then 60% of lets say 1,000 people were to say that Warrior is OP;
It’s probably an honest assessment and it’s a real number, does that mean 600 people play necro? it could mean that but AFAIK we have a good representation of most classes other then Elementalist at the moment, some classes being over represented such as warrior. (3 per match most of the time for me)
There’s really two ways to look at these if there is a high turn out in favor of something
A) Your player Base is a crucible you have to overcome, make changes which are Bad for the players and good for the game.
(By the way Jon if you’re reading this
those mechanics you discussed from MTG? Yea those were removed later… mana burn removed, mulligans changed etc)
B) You make the game fun for Most people yet make changes which may hurt certain professions.
So; Can these polls be taken seriously? I think so, if there is a large enough turn out.

I don’t know how to feel about this; it sounds like a nerf when you first read it, and it definitely is to most classes… but it actually promotes low skillfloor play styles like well necromancers..
