I think the devs care about pvp…

I think they actually believe what they say when they say
“we want people to think of this as the game you go to for PVP”

Why do I think that?
I know they put in the time to play their own game..
I saw John Sharp playing Eu solo que for a week straight, Stalker-status
(Through the leaderboards =D but that account has been moved? now)

These forums have become utterly toxic to dev replies though; one reply by Allie M. = kittennado,

One Reply by Jon S,= Kittenstorm the like of which has never been seen since /b/astards walked the earth.

I’m sure they care just as much as the rest of us playing pvp..

I think you go in there because you care; and cause it’s the coolest job in the world.
And their reward is what? a whole forum seething with hate?

So what happends now? How can the devs even make a post on this forum anymore?

It’s up to us as the pvp community as a whole to grow up, stop making troll posts, focus all our energy into 1 or two issues discuss it thoroughly in one thread constructively and lobby for a fix.

Why? Because;
“Short and long term goals which will go unnamed” sounds like the resources for pvp development are going to pve+ and nothing new is coming.
Unless you like zerg warfare.

FILLED with promises of things to come even if they might not be able to deliver
FILLED with optimism

guildwars2 is going to become pve/Zergwarfare only soon.

So far the only ideas that surface for improvement are coming from the pve community; Let’s put in a 20v20 mode!

Guess what; Pvp has no rewards so your zerg fest will be just as unpopular as 8v8 zergfest mode.

We need stronger leaders and community organizers; we need to end the amount of toxic/sarcasm posts which fill the forums ending real discussions. All we have to do is make a mantra like the pve’rs have done and just keep repeating it
“PVP is dead! Put in gvg! Pvp is Dead! Put in gvg!”
As far as I can tell 20v20 is going to happen

Soloque is broken being in the top 100 means literally nothing, LESS then nothing most of the time, especially with under 50 games.

I don’t expect you to know this as you’re new to pvp and have 0 idea of how broken things are.

If you don’t have much experience in playing the large battles found in WvWvW, you won’t understand GvG videos from WvWvW. There is a fog of war that only experience allows you to pierce through and break down what’s going on, what to do, and how it’s being done.

Mesmers/ele do not need buffs.

Necro Spite signet, scepter attack speed/bleed stack efficiency
Ranger SoNature, short Bow attackspeed/bleed stack efficiency
Warrior Regen signet needs to be shaved slightly Maybe condi immunity needs to be shaved slightly.

The PVE lobby in this game is too strong; We as the pvp community should learn from them and start invading their forums and asking for PVE rewards in sPVP or other such things.

Ele is basically unplayable right now, I know because whenever I fight an ele I stop playing and just angrily slam my face into the keyboard, most of the time this turns out fine.

I have no idea what kind of meta is on EU…. but here it’s Ele slayer meta.

This would have worked at launch, when the game had a healthy pool of players. It’s too late today. The leagues would be way too small.

Unless everyone was placed into the lowest leagues for an extended amount of time until more people started playing pvp.

Counter to moa? like hard counter?… Hmm I guess the counter is that your opponent is bad for running it in the first place and you can reset the fight if it’s 1v1 and come back and stomp him…

If it’s done in a team situation you can still use 4 AOE WEAKNESS and 5 GTFO button+2 dodges most of the time.

AOE weakness is pretty op imho.. I don’t think any class gets an AOE weakness for 3.5 seconds.

My pvp rank there is for people who don’t know it’s meaningless.

I think the point of that though has always been to reinforce that you get nothing for pvping and nothing outside of winning the match and having fun matters.

I treat this game like counterstrike.. I don’t really care about the dyes/skins/titles/whatever else people care about too much…..

eh.. you can pve farm all day and get tons of gold and shines no one cares about too, what’s your point?

You can get free runes from the Armor/Weapon Merchant and there are no rings/accessories just amulets+Jewels from the amulet merchant.

The only title that’s worth anything is Champion Brawler.

They can easily nerf dodges.

Sigil of energy Becomes 20 second cooldown.
Vigor generation reduced 10%

They can easily nerf Damage.. and they have in the past.

If anything nerfing AOE might actually make PVE bearable.

Spirit ranger elite is OP and needs to be toned down… say to 15-16k hp like the Ele pet.
Warrior HP regen is OP and needs to be towned down…say 20%
Necro Scepter needs to be toned down.
Necro Signet of Spite needs to be toned down.

Yes the silent majority cheesing it as hard as possible on their new ranger/warrior/necro/thief builds

but but.. spirit rangers take a lot of skill to play and spirit ranger vs spirit ranger is two guys actively responding to the passive effects of the other.

If DAOC2 comes out and is buy to play it would CRUSH gw2

Moa form gives aoe weakness … an extra evade and it’s hard to read(if not impossible) it’s dodges.
