I was going to treat Dervish as a random outlier incase someone wanted to disqualify their own vote but still show they saw the poll.
But yes; future poll will probably include less jokes and more SRS.

STILL not sure if this information interests anyone at anet as they have access to statistics beyond my wildest imagination; these are more for the pvp community as a whole( or just me ) so we can gauge/quantify the overall perceptions of the community instead of having 50 threads with responses from 5 people.

While 100 isn’t really the biggest sample size.. I still think it’s useful information;
It also tells me that the pvp community has completely different priorities/needs then me personally

Anyway, this was just a small try to quantify the opinions in the pvp community;
The next one I’ll try doing one on class balance Why? because reading through posts is great, but sometimes I wonder if the people posting are just the vocal minority or if they’re actually right.

Edit; Also the personal responses I didn’t list in addition to the old responses were all different game modes.

Also; 17 people added their own option and it seems the vast majority feel the need for New Game modes!

I want to have an option to display Asuras as humans or something

To be able to toggle an open world pvp so that you can fight in the open world and not WvW with the objectives and huge zerg groups!

Fast & easy way to salvage chests that doesnt kill ur hand

Giving rewards to pvp will encourage pve player to play pvp for the rewards so pvp will be more lively and esport ready nxtime

more freedom of stats allocation

I think most people interested in a serious pvp game would be willing to throw 40$ (During sales, I bet you can find a better deal at Greenmangaming sometimes) at the devs, I know for sure they deserve it.

WvW can never be balanced: NEVER
It uses PVE versions of skills ?
Ridiculous Stat combinations?
It uses Foodbuffs/ridiculous items ?
There’s an absurd amount of Zergwarfare?
PvE mobs everywhere/used as troops even ?

That’s just naming SOME of the problems if they wanted to try to balance pve+.

Team fortress 2 is not an MMO nor has it gone Esport As far as I know.
MOBA is only free because Dota has always been free, let’s be honest HoN Dota2 and LoL are really the same game, they even have a lot of the same champs.

Starcraft 2 has done great as B2P, and shows that a barrier of entry is a good thing.
Look at the LoL community. Look at it.

Its funny when im on my necro going heads up with an ele. and all i have to do is sit in one spot and auto attack with my scepter to send them running away.

yea.. eles need a major buff.. seriously lol…ive literally fear chained an ele to death and she couldnt do jack about.. and thought i was hacking..lol. atm ele is at the bottom of the food chain. All ele builds atm.. are full glass cannons.. there is like no more build diversity with the constant nerfs they had.

I would be okay with it if
a)No Chat/Forum/Mail Privileges (Impossible)
b)No Leaderboard (Also Impossible)
c)No Ability to Solo Que with players above a certain rank say 1000
(Probably the most impossible)

Every time a mmorpg goes F2P or partly it becomes worse or Dies.

I’ve actually never seen a B2P or P2P game go F2P or partly F2P without dieing or getting worse really worse

This is Anet, they are bound to over nerf. Rather then nerfing everything down to the lowest standard (Ele) surely it would be better to BUFF ele up to the standard of the other classes as buffing one class is easier then nerfing 7….

What exactly does that mean though “buff ele up to the standard”
you want them to have regen like regen warriors?
you want them to have spirit of nature like rangers?
you want them to be able to condi spam whole teams?

No, not overbuffing classes from the get go is a good start.

Moral Hazard to players who bought the game for pvp (me)

Just off the top of my head.

Ele is fine.. condition meta just renders them harder to play

WHEN Warrior/SdThief/Necromancer gets toned down you can be sure Ele will at the top of the food chain yet again.

Mesmer is actually in a pretty good spot in high ranked soloque even against s/d thieves imho..

Warriors were definitely meta even before Pax… like REALLY meta.. in fact they need to be tweaked slightly.. too many buffs too fast..

Next balance patch should be in december. They are working hard with it at the moment and hoping everything can come together. They hit the necro and ranger this patch so it is sword thief next patch. They are considering reducing the sword auto attack damage by 0.005%, but only on tuesdays between 4-5pm. It is taking alot of work though. You wouldnt understand.

They are hoping that by the year 2043 they might have bought this build into line.

I used to run macros for a game that was utterly unplayable without 40 keys..
You can code the macros to have different times..
That’s how bots do it…
Code from Programs like Autohotkey or autoit is almost undetectable if done right..

Yes; I didn’t say they were the same thing, I said the GS is subpar to staff…. overall.
Two stuns and Sword 3 is fine for catching mid range targets..
I’m also not alone when I play these games..

When it becomes my job to catch a running target I’ll think about switching to it…

Greatsword has the same auto attack style as a long bow… (Our mirror of it?)
DPS decreases as the target gets closer.

Mesmers are the trickster illusionist class; the greatsword is a melee weapon but used to shoot lasers by the mesmer..

I think it’s important that the nerfs to these professions/overperforming builds happen on a small scale basis. 5% efficiency shaves with 2 week public tests.

What we do need is an introduction to PVP that’s like the introduction to PVE

With Orange arrows pointing to the PVP button/server list
A lock on Soloque before you play 20 games in hotjoin with any new account,
you could even turn this into an achievement.
