Considering how useful they are, why anyone would ever consider complaining is beyond me. Also, consider maybe it’s an incentive to get players TO LEVEL in sPvP and not just PvE?
If there’s one thing I dislike in The Silverwastes is the mass spawning of mobs when an event pops. You’re just standing in a clear spot gathering or unlocking a chest and become instantly surrounded. Can the Dev’s add a pseudo randomness to spawning rates please? Like a couple of seconds delay between each mob being spawned. Would be so much more natural feeling than the way it insta-pops up mobs now.
….. without putting the Candy Corn Gobbler back into the Gem Store this weekend!!!
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Candy_Corn_Gobbler
Make it so, please?
Wow so for the same price of 1 char slot we can have a whole second account with 5….fantastic. I hope they get the word out as this is a phenomenal deal.
As someone whom has several accounts, please realize the downfall that comes from not being able to share the best items/gear between them all. The past year “account binding” has increased dramatically. People are complaining about the grind, like in the Silverwaste right now. Multiply that by several times and you can imagine what having multiple accounts is like.
May blessing be upon the OP.
As someone with multiple accounts, umm… how about less account binding tyvm.
Figures a Sylvari would come up with such an idea. Trying to undermine Tyrian trade too now, huh? I’ve got my eye on you….. (~.-)
Only if Staff has some physical skills. For example, I’ve always ask for my Staff Ele to have a knock back that’s a twirl into a golf club swing. Pretty much like Punt is for Hammer Guardian. It’s basically a Bo Staff and should have some physicality to it too.
Neat idea, but sounds like a balancing nightmare.
Pretty much the first thought I had. Followed by how annoying it would be to have my skills keep changing on me during combat. Imagine in large scale fights how this mechanic would create chaos? Then where’s the priority coming from?
So im farming SW for quite a long time, i got everything. Well except the Mordrem Husk Eye, but it never drops? Sadly ive already used the bag from achievements…. any help?
That’s the only eye I’ve gotten thus far
I think the problem is “Decent short hair” is an oxymoron.
As mentioned above, there’s more choices in the makeover kits.
Wouldn’t be surprised at all if the salvage rates, loot tables, etc. are monitored and adjusted regularly. Maybe it’s an automated process to keep certain ratio’s in the economy?
Or, they could incentivize map event completion by requiring a level 5 Perseverance to open the Vinewrath chest? This is a similar flaw to the LA invasion or Boss Blitz. Those selfishly tagging and running are putting in a minimal effort and lessening the game play of others. Good luck getting a T3 in the lab or even finding an open Skritt tunnel. When there’s LFG’s just for the Skritt Tunnels, you know there’s way too much map creation/deletion cycles taking place.
TY Wanze! If only the Forgotten Seal had an upgrade slot. http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Forgotten_Seal
Just to sum it up, on kill effects do not work in the living story because of the anti farming implementations in place. There’s nothing to fix here really. You really don’t have that many mobs in the instances in the first place. It’s certainly not holding you back from completing the story.
I’m sorry, but without might, condi engi gets rekt.
What??? It’s only a 15% decrease in might’s effects. That’s not going to change things much.
I think the dev’s should not have labeled the bubbles at Copper “poison”. Being a Husk, players should have been encouraged to use conditions. On this, a poison heals him? The mixed message is why players are confused and fighting with each other.
Let’s hope the wiki has been updated.
i like the new set but i HATE that its for every class to use equally, every1 will look the same if they keep this up, HEAVY, MEDIUM, LIGHT……dont mix the classes anet….or you will destroy the variety of the game’s professions, a guardian should look like a guardian
No…. every profession should have equal access to look as they choose. You want variety, then give the players choice. You want less variety, then shoe horn everyone into boxes. btw…. they never should have made light, medium, and heavy. That cookie cutter doesn’t belong in a game built around selling appearance items.
Wait… so we can really dream on this expansion? How about the return of Mix and Match and our favorite town clothes? Next is No Hobosacks!!!! Mounts!!!! The removal of race only armor restrictions. It’s like GG, just give us what we’ve been asking for over a year. I don’t even need an expansion right now.
As someone with multiple accounts, I do so hope this is not any paid for or at least not very expensive. I’ve spent, what I consider to be, a good amount of money on the game. Never did I imagine Anet would veer off into a paid expansion model. It would be a knee in the kittens to everyone who’s spend cash monthly since launch. Heck, just in December alone I think I spent $50.
For timing, it really should be no later than March 3rd. Would be much better if was January 27th or February 3rd to bank off any hype. Later than that and the news will grow stale.
I like how everyone’s assuming that the Sylvari would be losing that sort of a fight. Open world pvp gogo! Come at us bros!
4 races against 1, and the total sylvari population was only 15% of the playerbase according to that infographic. So unless the Sylvari can pull a battle of thermopylae you are all gonna die!!
not sure how you intend to even hit us when we’re riding a dragon and having a good time!
Remember what happened to the last dragon? If not, Arah Story path. =P
Yeah because of the master slyvari you were able to defeat Zhatain… good luck killing another dragon without slyvari. Heck, we were the only race that c ouldn’t be corrupted by the other dragons, without us you will ALL be dragon minions.
Plus… we can GROW an army in an instant… you will never win…
Pfft… retrofit a couple of airships with sprayers and crop dust the whole area.
~ Buh Bye Sylvari
Of course this time don’t fly so F’n low!!!!! GG, the logic used by our favorite heroes in this “ending” is aggravating.
Any design in game that punished action unequally is a bad design. No matter if it’s retal, confusion, or even torment to some extent. IF they are going to have it in game then it should be toned way down.
Considering I have multiple accounts with additional character slots on them I say yes, I do find them useful Glad they are more abundant now.
lol… that was a great gif.
Have a handful of accounts to do it on Luckily, the bug hit’s sporadically and when I get a good connection/set/instance/whatever it keeps working for a while. Though I will say a few days ago it was really lagged out badly.
Maybe in EU it’s played so softly. Here there are players that EotM with a bit more spirit.
Because saying EK and WK is saving any time from just saying Hills and Bay???
We use simply Hills, Bay, Garri.
Wanze… lol
Why whenever I read an “EotM” post it seems to be contrived at best. Can whomever these “so called” true players just stop complaining over EotM already? Seems to be working just fine by the volume of players actually using it each day.
Holy Mother of Necro!
But yes, I’d like this hair too….
Available on NORN and human
How do we know the game wasn’t developed with additional races already? Maybe they are just sitting and waiting to release the content? I’m assuming they had long term 5-6 year road map to build around since the early development phase.
Still just a crappy mechanic to punish taking action. Retal is just as bad in that respect.
What I believe could help is having a choice for each weapon or each individual weapon skill of either DPS or DPS/Condi. This way we can customize builds to a far greater extent. Also, it could remove some of the washing out effect of condition damage. Stacking caps at worlds bosses and any mega HP creature needs to be adjusted.
Rebalancing each skill into a non-condition version would take a lot of unnecessary coding. Also, I don’t feel it would have a good impact on the community and build diversity. The zerker debate doesn’t need this added on top of it.
I would rather play with useful conditions than no conditions.
Well, I’d rather play a with weapon set’s that aren’t hodgepodges. The reason why it’s Zerker or nothing is simply because there is no other comparable choice. Not to forget that condi damage output is certainly not balance across professions. For the remarks about ferocity, if condition damage required a Primer or Catalyst stat that functioned in a similar role as Ferocity, that would easily solve that problem.

You are late to the party, Michael.
Seems like not even GMs read stickies…

Wanze, there seems to be an outbreak of phishing / gold selling the past couple of days. It’s good Michael posted this.
Got an email yesterday too, scared the heck out of me! Seems there’s an aggressive phishing and gold seller person/network this past week. There needs to be a GM parked in DR at the upper banks because there was someone there whisper spamming us for gold selling. Probably collected our account names at the same time.
Of course, we’re posting on here which makes our account names and easy target. Oh wells….

My favorite’s atm. They have a nice glow and particle effect too.
+1 to GuzziHero. So much of this “lore” argument has been flawed in the game since launch.
Yes, and even a new and non-augmented alt will have account bonuses and magic find to make the whole thing much easier.
On the other hand, new accounts have that cool, rare level 0 armor. The set you get when you buy the game. High armor value and vitality. Get power weps and all should be good.
I’m so jealous of that armor. In fact my newer accounts had it all along. I just never opened the armor chest to see it because I figured it was just the skin. Unfortunately, I picked the Krytan skin (medium) since I thought they were only skins. I’d SO do it over again if I could
Even without the special Legacy armor spoken of above, my key farmer can one or two shot clear most mobs in the early starter zone. So it’s not so much of having an 80 in the zone, it’s optimizing the build. It’s in fact possible for any new character to do the same thing. It just took a lot of playing the game to figure out how to do it.
Sorry you had a bad experience OP. I don’t know how things escalated to using such terms. In my position for my server, I’d temp ban anyone in ts for using the c word. There’s simply no call for it.
For all the passive AI work being done by phantasms and clones, a Mesmer should get toned down. It’s pretty much why Ranger Pet’s (cat’s/birds) got nerfed. Too much passive damage output by the AI’s allowing the Ranger to sit back.
No need and will only lead to trolling and annoyance. A dueling instance maybe but, not in open world.
I applaud the effort and candidness in posting all this. The results are why I dislike unregulated markets and controlled supply chains irl. The issue as I see it are the one time dropped items and overly controlled supply chains.
It appears fixed now. Guessing it was an Akamai issue?
Let me correct that, after trace routing it’s dying at the NC Soft servers.
Same here for me. Even getting this page to load was a bear. I called Optimum and gave them the situation that game and website are having connection issues with an IP address as well. Crossing fingers for a speedy fix. Please call your ISP’s to let them know too. I’m assuming this is an Optimum only issue as I found a couple more IP’s not related to the game having issues.
The only thing you can bet one is that it’s going to cost us $$$.
Commando Class to be released in February.
Holy Epic!!!!
I can speak of this from experience. At one point, a developer asked me what I was doing. Apparently, at some point, a player reported me for botting because I was farming a certain area for the slayer achievement and for materials.
When it became clear I was not using a macro or botting, the issue was resolved. So, you see, your ‘tracking’ hypothesis is in error.
Why would I not be surprised if this happens very often? GW2 players seem extremely abusive with the report function. Simply standing and farming a critter is some how a monumental, report worthy, offense? GG… players need to move along, mind their own business, and let other play how they want too. Which lead me to the same opinion on macro’s. Which is move along folks and let other player their game, their way too.
From a health stand point, auto-clickers should absolutely be allowed for opening/using stacks in the inventory. From a green standpoint, considering that my mouse and keyboard are already getting well worn in a year say’s a lot about how clicky this game is. This Wintersday patch is crazy clicky!
I believe what Anet is against is automating skill rotations in PvP mostly.
Just who do you think is going to play this game year-round? Do you even understand how few people play the current set of activities? What makes you think that something as awful as Mayhem is going to get played off season?
Do you understand how many people love Mayhem? Just because YOU do not like it, it doesn’t mean there aren’t a lot of us whom think it’s the best PvP in game.
I think if this is to be added, it has to be in Hoelbrak. Just put a portal anywhere in there and it fits. Either that or make the “new” LA into an arcade of sorts where all the activities reside. Especially cough Sab….
First play through should be for the story and immersion. After that, any replay’s should allow skipping scenes.
