Most of the suggestions here I believe are asking for far too much. Complete overhauls, are you folks seriously asking for so much? What we need is to clean up the weak and worthless condi dmg spamming. The OP’s Method 2, giving minor trait options, is the simplest and most efficient solution. Also, it could allow more customization of builds which is a good thing. Though we still have some weapon skills that need tweaking. I still feel it’s bad that players don’t have weapon skill choices. Just an a/b selection of a condi or a power skill.

Let’s get something clear that condi spamming is NOT an issue in PvE or WvW when running solo or havok. Any solutions should not help zergs at the cost of hurting roaming.

So every family sized guild supports Anet and pay’s for transfers. And yet, the big guilds that has WAY more resources is entitled to a free ride??? Sure, and I think the 1% shouldn’t have to pay any taxes either. In fact, if you are a millionaire or more, everyone should have to pick up your tab in the restaurant. When you go to a club or bar, everyone has to buy you drinks.

Current system is fine. After a wipe I’m usually using the time to sell anyways. So selling and repairing together works pretty well right now.

Yes, pin sniping has been a thing since launch. There’s nothing dishonorable about it either. No reason why the person telling everyone to fight shouldn’t be the first person to suffer the consequences of attacking another. Any “leader” expecting to be last are the dishonorable ones.

Picking whom to target is a bit of an art form in itself. Once spotted, I’ll call out the character in map chat so others know whom it is. If it’s not the pin it’s likely to be a person in his melee train. It’s really not that hard when you end up fighting the same characters daily. Though I do reserve it for times when I feel the opposition needs an attitude adjustment. Say when getting 2v’d, after a while it’s time to say “Enough!”. That’s when I’m going to snipe the pin or swap to my Mesmer and Moa until they relent.

Any easy solution would be for the Dev’s to give us more choice in our builds. As the OP mentioned, most of this bleed issue comes from traits that we’re pretty much forced into having. The game should have been set up with us having a choice to go full condi, full dps, or blending in between. Forcing us to do a little of everything is a large part of the problem.

Better solution would be to just make under garments dyeable.

I accidentally deleted a character that had received the emails with gem store items on it. I’m not using the account while waiting to hear back and I hope it doesn’t take that long. Even being an avid player since launch, this is my first time contacting support. Crosses finger’s GW2 support staff are getting the support they need to handle to all the requests.

I extremely dislike instanced content. Thus, I really hate doing dungeons. Yet, how many runs do I have to make to get the required tokens? There’s some crud in this game you just have to do.

OP, have you asked in map chat for help with Map completion? Maybe make on thread on your server’s website and you could get a time, like before reset, to do it? You can even whisper the enemy before said event and they’ll likely let you take the property right before reset. Even better, suggestion a k-train for the hour before reset. We used to do just that back in the day.

This isn’t something for the Dev’s to work out. This is something for the players to work on.

If the set would cost 3,000 gems, I do not see a need for this at all. Much rather have all of them available individually 24/7/365. This way we can have player choice instead of being stuck with a set.

The FoV on this camera system has always been less than ideal. Having no Z-axis slider is another very very very very poor design. Can we get just ONE dev to fix this after 2 years of asking?

The fact that the whole page looks exact the same shows a lack of design. Designs, in my opinion, should be far wider and grand to accommodate player preferences. These slight derivatives of a single look doesn’t give much to players to enjoy at all.

Ok, so in most of your analogy there is this thing called income tax. So basically Anet should put in income tax now? The only way to really avoid it would be to keep buying new accounts and playing the shell game. Which then new accounts would benefit Anet’s bottom line. I think the income tax should be aggressively progressive too. So let’s see, add a flat rate tax on P2P trade. Then add in income tax too. Yup, that should handle anyone wanting to subvert the TP.

Most of my alts, the near 30 of them, have under 50% map completion. I have two that are at 100% and after them, it’s not really exploration any longer. I probably know most of Tyria likes it’s my own neighborhood. So having the way points as account unlocks would make it feel more pleasant and natural to me. I’ve done the same thing as the OP with a guild missions and it’s annoying. Luckily going full speed burn thru a zone doesn’t take too long.

Using HDMI for gaming is… pointless. Yes, colors are borked and not even close to the bandwidth of dp/DVI so it cant handle 60hz+ at higher resolutions.

Interesting that a reg fix can suddenly increase the bandwidth and restore those colours then.

Also makes me wonder why blueray HD TVs don’t use DVI instead of this crappy hdmi standard that borks colours.

Why? Because HDMI is sound and video. Its easier. But video only give much higher bandwidth and full range rgb.

Tweaking the colors/gamma is a workaround, not a fix. And it can only help the rgb range. You cannot fix the bandwidth. No regfix will make 4K/144hz possible with HDMI, for example.

All sounds great and all but, aren’t most video games sRGB? Which is the same as Bluray and HDTV’s REC 709? My displays are all calibrated for REC 709 and the game looks great.

Certainly they can add player to player trading. They’d just add a 25% fee to use it. How’s that, solves your complaints of using the TP?

Anyone else’s mini Kasmeer having a really dark complexion? Also, I’m pretty shocked there’s no voice acting to this mini. Come on Anet, it’s Kasmeer! Anyone know if the Rox or Braham is similar? I’m kinda disappointed in this mini and can see why the price is crashing.

There’s certainly a difference between selling goods and selling services. The TP is the one and only solution for selling goods in game. If players started subverting the TP fee’s then JS would have to come place the Nerf Hammer down on in game rewards. The economic divide between players would increase too.

For selling services, that should be fine to post in the proper LFG channel. It’s always a risk involved as there are no formal contracts made up between players. Whenever portaling, I’m simply paying it forward and helping my fellow player. If I get any tips, then I’m happy for whatever I’ve received.

Of course, getting rid of the TP would include the bonus of getting rid of Evon. That’s sounds so very tempting now ……

For the home instance nodes, I think it’s pretty safe to assume prices will continue to drop. When the expansion comes out, Guild Halls will more than likely trump home instances by far. So demand will decrease even further as the year goes on.

So I was going to make a new thread asking players if they are getting there dailies done or even bothering any longer. I know for me, I did my dailies religiously since launch. Now that Wintersday is over, I’m really not doing them much at all.

Here’s my issue with the dailies, I’ve been playing for 3 hours now since reset and I’m still at 0 for the daily. I’ve followed the PvE World Bosses train, been gathering, etc. And yet, not one item on the daily. I think if you actively play for 3 hours you should be getting AP for it. AP should increase as players put in work in the game. Right now the AP is too gated and narrow in scope.

Dev’s, it doesn’t feel good to play and not get AP for it. The daily profession for sPvP pretty much encourages rerolling a character each day. The WvW aren’t bad just, it doesn’t encourage players to work together. In fact, if people want the daily they’ll just go straight for the objective they want. None of which is good for the game imho.

+% far greater than +25 power. Probably better off going with Pack runes anyway.

LOL.. hahaha… this happens to me even. A couple of weeks ago on reset I built an Omega and was back capping our Northern towers and camps on home bl. I heard afterwards a couple of players were whining about it. BUT, it’s using the least amount of players to accomplish a task which is efficient. If anyone whined about wanting a cap for the daily I’d politely tell them to go to EotM for it.

Ok, so now I’m looking for a SW layer and once again I see WTB/WTS ad’s. Sigh, so what are we doing about this, reporting for LFG abuse? For those abusing the LFG tool to try and circumvent the TP fee’s, we all pay the fee’s to keep trading safe and secure for the entire GW2 community. For those without the funds to sell an item, think of it this way, you were blessed enough to get such an high valued item to begin with. The least you can do is be patient and gather the gold for the TP fee’s. Anything else is just being extremely selfish.

Here’s a question, was there something going on on that map before your guild decided to claim it? There’s always two sides to every story and I’m wondering what’s the other on this one. If a guild show’s up on a map and say’s “ours now”, I can see how that could cause blow back. So before anyone starts condemning players, we need to hear the other side.

For popping the bubbles, that happens every time I do Indigo. Players simply misjudge it often. Especially if their auto attack has a condition that ticks off that last couple of percent of HP we try leaving them at.

Hoping rebuilding LA is an event we can be a part of. Heck, I’d go logging for supply and build things myself if I could.

Which leads me to say, “Amen” to the quote below. Players need to start using the LFG better and place dungeon runs (selling is fine to me) under the proper dungeon tabs.

And for the record, selling dungeon runs in the appropriate place, ie selling an Arah run under the Arah tab, is fair enough, but trying to sell dungeon runs in the “open world content” tab is also LFG abuse and will be reported as such. Arah is not open world content.

Doesn’t appear to be. For new to profession weapons I’ve been hoping for duel pistol’s on Mesmer and a whip on Thief for a long time. Looks like neither of those made it in this round of expansion.

Well Colin did say HoT takes place seconds after the Pact defeat. So it appears any future content updates are waiting on this. Can’t imagine them waiting too long to release this. The games pop would implode completely during the summer if there’s nothing to do. Unless we’re going to get Dragon Bash, SAB, etc, or maybe even S1 content to replay?

So yeah Pax East is Mar 6-8, 2015. That’s 40 days from today.
