i still think match making should be MMR only

match predictions should use divisions only.
because, if you are in higher divisions, you should win against lower divisions, or suffer massive pip loses.
what if,
for match making purposes, only MMR is used.
as in,
new match making = 100% MMR
current match making = 50% MMR 50% divisions
and for match prediction, only divisions (total pips) is used.
i am not sure if the current match prediction takes MMR into account as well.
this might solve the problem of diamond, legendary players having queues that goes on for hours and never pops.

Primarily the team that channels tranquility steals all three points, but also all the ways you can fall and its verticality. I notice pretty much everyone voting for Legacy or Forest so it’s apparently hated by most.
stealing all 3 points does no good if they cannot hold any 2 of the 3 stolen points.
teams with weaker builds, mechanical skills, rotations will still get outplayed.
holding 2 points and securing stillness is more important.I’ve had temple games where they’d get tranquility and we’d immediately recap and win but still too many where we’re ahead, they get tranquility, they catch up and we can’t recover again. There also doesn’t seem to be a lot of coordination in general with it.

It should be whichever player did most damage, not who has last hit.
Players who are proactive who are more mindful of point rotation and spawn timings are more likely to gain points for their team from NPCs.
As it is now there is more emphasis on luck. Any game that has more emphasis on luck rather than intended choice tends to have a lower skill requirement.
Gameplay that rewards proactive players generally requires more skill than gameplay that rewards luck.
errrm no. forest beasts rewards proactive players and not really luck.
it is not luck that you know you wiped the few opponents nearby any beasts.
it is not luck that you know the wiped opponents have not yet respawned.
it is not luck that you know which opponent are at which part of the map fighting your other team mates.

If you stick to that pip system, when a game ends at like 170-250 (happens a lot in stronghold), scores should be upscaled. So, pip-wise, the score would be treated as 340-500.
well that table is for conquest mode.
i have no idea how stronghold points work when it comes to pips gains and losses.

It’s a rather simple concept really, a nerf there and there won’t magically allow you to beat any player on the nerfed profession and that’s obvious I believe
The trait got clear weaknesses that requires some active thinking out of you, coming here to complain only shows that you( generally speaking) lack that ability to adapt to the situation.
The nerf to this trait, won’t make so that you will be able to beat those eles who murder you already without even using that trait in the first place.
In the end of the day meta auramancer is just a support build not a duellist build and that’s where lots of arguments fall flat against.
Nerfing that trait won’t stop the people who whine now to come once again on the forum asking for more nerfs because they lost yet another 1vs1 against an ele
But guess what, no matter how much you whine on the forum….no game will ever be balanced around you, so get out there…and learn to adapt

what i am proposing is basically making diamond skin a permanent resistance as long as the elementalist have 90% health and above.

so as long as our winning % is not at least 50% we still can be motivated to try to score at least 400 team score.

Advice for the current meta: don’t put all your eggs in the same basket. I run Viper necro and I have no problems with tempests.

well, the health threshold value of 90% could be modified if 90% is too high. since now we can apply lots of conditions … we just need to chip away 11% health for those conditions to work ! at least necromancer traits that rely on applying conditions will still work to some extend.

there should be a trait icon on the ele when it is active. just like the many other trait icons we have now.
diamond skin should have its own trait icon in the buff bar.

to be honest, adrenaline is the warrior’s last problem… i’m actualy having no problems at all in building adrenaline.
Lack of decent active healings capacity and lack of condi counter is much more important to fix.
did you actually read up what i wrote up there?
rune of durability is balanced.
it does not make you invulnerable.
At this point, something this nuts sounds necessary for warrior, but I can’t help but ask if this means you can basically just ignore your burst skills and spam EP or bulls rush endlessly.

And with increasing adrenaline to 30 you mean that the F1 ability will still consume only 30 points, maximum? Or that you need to consume all that 100 points to active a full powered skill?
In the first case you make adrenaline really OP, like a Tempest that can active the Overcharge 3 times without cooldown or a necromancer with 3 times the LF he can charge. You will be able to constantly active your skills at max power and effects, making your F1 skill OP.
In the second one you make it really really week.
2nd one of course, i dun propose week stuff for warrior. :p
You do know that all burst skills while in berserk mode already count as lvl 3 adrenaline right?
yes, of course i know that.
however, with this, warrior is able to keep on using primal burst because he will never run out of adrenaline and not limited by stupid 10 max adrenaline.
primal burst on 2 seconds recharge time? just burn some adrenal to use it again!

major warrior and berserker rework:
- max adrenaline increase from 30 to 100
(this will allow adrenal health to benefit from level 3 healing more often)
(allow the warrior to use burst skills more often)
- max adrenaline is removed while warrior enters berserk mode. warrior’s max adrenaline is NOT set to 10 while in berserk mode.
(this will allow warrior to use burst skill more often while in berserk mode)
- adrenaline decays 1 adrenaline per second when not in combat
(this will allow warrior to carry some adrenaline into the next battle)
- trying to activate recharging skills will burn adrenaline to reduce remaining recharge time and suffer fatigue, fatigue reduces maximum adrenaline.
(say if endure pain has 30 seconds recharge time remaining and warrior has 80 adrenaline, attempting to use endure pain will burn away 30 adrenaline to remove the 30 seconds charge time)
(weapon swap, burst skills, weapon skills, utility skills, elite skill all can be burned. however if warrior burn 100 adrenaline then the warrior will be not able to use burst skills in combat for quite some time)
- warrior only burn half adrenaline in berserk mode, for example, attempting to use endure pain when it has 30 seconds remaining, in berserk mode, will only burn 15 adrenaline instead of 30 seconds.
(warriors in berserk mode will be able to burn adrenal more often)
- fatigue decreases by 1 per second while in combat and 10 per second while not in combat. imagine elementalist’s exhaustion from guild wars 1.
(if warrior burned away 30 adrenaline to activate endure pain while it still has 30 seconds recharge time, maximum adrenaline will be reduced to 70 due to fatigue)
- in berserk mode, fatigue decreases by 2 per second while in combat and 20 per second while not in combat.
(warrior in berserk mode will recover from fatigue much faster)

I realise that all stat combinations in pvp are available in pve and that this would break that rule, but the thing is in pve you can mix & mach gear to get something like this. However in pvp we are stuck with just the one slot (which is a bad design imo) and this combination would be a desirable choice for classes with medium and high hp.I’d make it

(i’m very casual and do not have time for many games per day)

we didn’t lose any pips for the 1st 2 losses.

I only have about 125 ranked games, but there are a couple things I still haven’t figured out that I really think I should know.
- How are the names chosen at the start of the fight (e.g. Sue vs Bob)?
- What are the exact mechanics for capping/decapping? Is a check made every second and as long as one team has the only characters in the circle (who are not stealthed or otherwise under some kind of no-cap condition) then 1/8 of the circle is filled/emptied?
- What information (beyond professions) should you be able to determine about the opposing team before the start of the fight?

the first person to load into the map in that team will have the team named after that person. for example, if sue is the first person to load into blue team while bob is the first person to load into red team, then we get sue vs bob.
you take 10 full seconds to capture a neutral point if it is not contested (no opponents in the point you are capturing) if at least one opponent enters the point, then the capture progress stops. you take 5 full seconds to neutralize a captured point, provided that there are no opponents sitting in it.
press b to access the scoreboard during the 2 minutes pre match getting ready time to check your opponents professions. as for what kind of information beyond professions, well, that, i dunno. usually by seeing their professions, you will know what they are running. there are not really many viable builds for each profession.
some are map specific though. for example, in the forest of animals map, if the opposing team have thieves, then they might steal your beasts if you are attempting to kill the beast.

2 of my friends have more time to play ranked arena so they are in ruby now. i think just fresh rubies. one is 3/30 ruby, the other 2/30 ruby i think.
i was in 19/25 emerald. i only play 1 or 3 ranked games per day. sometimes i do not play much during weekends.
then the 3 of us, we tri-queued and played 3 games togerher.

finally +1 pip and a win on our 3rd game.
we’re a 3 man group with my friends revenant, dragon hunter and myself a reaper, our 2 pugs assigned by the match making system.,are a gun flame berserker warrior and a mesmer (who happens to be a friend of our dragon hunter)
as for the other team, well, they got 2 thieves, 2 dragon hunters, and the 5th one, was it a scrapper? i think it is a scrapper.
