tl; dr
make it such that we never lose pips if our team score is at least 400 points and above. this is only fair as match prediction is not working as intended, as teams of 5 players can lower their MMR by playing together.

this is the table they are using, this is not working because the match prediction is not working as intended.
the match making system throws your 5 man pug (1 sapphire 4 emeralds) against a full 5 man party and expect your team to win.
that is down right broken.

change the winning % threshold of
20-39% into
20-49%
so as long as our winning % is not at least 50% we still can be motivated to try to score at least 400 team score.

twice, i got match against a full 5 man guild team, lost 2 pips.
i think its because they have 2 sapphires in their team, the stupid match prediction sorts of takes that into account as well.
they have 1 diamond, 2 rubies, 2 sapphires.
say your team of 5 rubies = 5 × 4 = 20 points
their team of
1 diamond = 5
2 sapphires = 2 × 3 = 6
2 rubies = 2 × 4 = 8
5 + 6 + 8 = 19
technically their total division point is one point less than your team.
but yeah, the match prediction is totally being a kitten in this case.

a s/d thief currently sitting on ruby and going for diamond while I’m still emerald, he should be able to teach you couple of things or twoSeen thieves 1vs1 and winning chronobunker, scrappers, tempest, revs..only dieing to dh most times.
But go on and say that those thieves were facing scrubs..while you obviously are much better than them.
Yeah sure..all eles/mesmers/guard etc etc been fooling themselves since launch because they don’t play thief as obviously they don’t reach your amazing skill level….just give it a break already….

Nike/Run Away Warriors were pretty cancerous in WvW so personally Id rather see stuff that gives them more utility and active defense options to contribute to a fight than stuff that enables them to be cowardly.

Does 1 s ICD defeat purpose of the buff? If boons given would last 5s, then if someone would keep bashing you during block, you still would get 15s. However it would prevent sick stacking while under focus by multi people.

this is why i stopped playing ranked arena very often.
i would play one ranked arena, rest few hours, then play the next ranked arena game after a few hours.
i stop playing ranked arena on saturday and sundays all together.

If nerfing Mesmer Block isn’t on the table then I support buffing old Blocks. Unblockable attacks (and CCs) are more common now anyhow so I think buffing old Blocks is definitely needed.
Although personally I think HoT brought too much power creep and in general overtuned stuff should be nerfed rather than weaker stuff buffed.
As to the idea itself, I think it’s a better way to do what Mesmer Block tried to do in that it punishes continually attacking a Block; as opposed to just one stray cleave or AoE pulse instantly doubling Block time.
if reducing recharge time or increasing duration is too powerful, what if it gives other defensive attributes? and what if we put some maximum stack onto it?
kinda like adaptive armor ?

in a way, getting away from a fight very quickly may help them to stay alive.
for example, if the team is getting wiped at mid, the warrior may be able to quickly get away if shield bash can travel 450 + 450 = 900 distance, with a recharge time of 8 seconds instead of 16 seconds, plus another 600 distance from savage leap, making a total of 1500 distance traveled.

no, i hate dying and will always build defensively for more sustain.
getting rank 20 is the PvE equivalent of earning 5 gold…
just play normally and you’ll get it without going out of your way to farm for it.
But do you have any advice on what I should do other than continuing to do the aforementioned thing?
try playing in unranked since you are pvp rank 12.
you can participate in unranked conquest mode once your pvp rank is at least 10.
if you win in unranked, u get 1500 rank points at least, if you lose in unranked, you get 500 rank points at least.
but do try your best to win for the team ya !

My advice is not to play a warrior, which judging by all your other threads is what your playing
ironically, i got most of my pips from playing warrior.
got +1 +1 +2 pips from 3 games by playing warrior casually without thinking of winning.
when i tried my best with other professions, i get match ups that are not in my favor.
i play scrapper and reaper nowadays mostly,
been practicing malyx herald as well.
i was asking for warrior buffs not because i play warrior only.
but i used to play warrior quite often in the past, and now that warrior is severely under powered when compared against other professions. it is only fair to buff warrior to be up to par with the other professions.
Hey, this is actually a good idea. Selling carry services or pvp training.
well, i’ll only actually pay if i managed to get a pip.
after thinking about this more, i realized people may troll me by throwing the match, causing my pips to lose instead.

the bash only works within 450 though. 450 – 900 is the extra distance traveled, no damage and no stun if contact with foes.

I’ve rather thought something like picking your proposal 1, AND, e.g.:
*Shield Stance now grants regeneration to Warrior and Allies.
*Shield Bash now grants protection to Warrior and Allies.
hmmm but the defense line is mostly about personal defense for the warrior.
tactics line is more group support.
that’s why i cannot understand why they put “power synergy” as a tactics grandmaster trait!
Still not even close to Shield Revenant has.
I would pick proposal 1 and also suggest Protecton and Regeneration added to Warrior Shield skills.

if you graduate from amber into emerald a few more times over a few seasons throughout the year, you will eventually get enough pvp league tickets to get everything you need for the legendary back pack.
down here in the emerald gutter class doesn’t matter as much as the top tiers.
yeah, i got most of my pips as playing casually on my warrior.
i’m 9/25 emerald btw. highest i reach was 9/25 emerald anyway.
of course, when i said playing my warrior casually, i also meant playing carefully. i avoid swimming in hot blazing aoe while i keep the point burning 24/7 somehow they eat up all the burns and my other team mates finished them off nicely.
must be the emerald gutter at work here.
at higher tiers i think warrior is probably very, very hard to be viable. unless your opponents look down on you so much that they leave you alone.
just endure the loses and the wins may come.
taking long breaks in between games seems to be able to help some what.

previously highest i got was 9/25 emerald as well, also from +2 pips from 7/25 emerald, only to immediately lost -2 pips again when the system throws my full pug against a full 5 man team.
gonna take a break now since weekends we get harder fights in pvp.
its called annihilation mode.
you wipe the enemy team or get wiped, then move on.
as a scrapper you can easily use function gyro with built in stability to stomp.

i have a rather unusual experience just now.
after being fed up with the pip gains up and down, i took out my warrior and bring her for some ranked arena matches. all loses, however, the pips went up.
in the last match, the other team was leading a lot, say 400 – 200
then they stop capping, they let us have sides, 2 cap. then they started zerging in mid and let us kill.
when we scored at least 400, then they ended the match. i got +1 pip for that loses, now i’m at emerald 8/25 again.
they are a 4 man guild group plus 1 pug.
kinda nice of them to let us have 400 team score.

request to extend league duration by the number of days stronghold is disabled, times 2.
i.e. if stronghold is not available for 5 days, we get 10 days extension.
