Kaineng used to be a close-knit community in T8. That homely feeling was destroyed by your mass transfers. We all know War Machine has no server loyalty, after all.

You destroyed my Kaineng, now work with what you have if you’re so great like many guys said when rising up the ranks. You shouldn’t have to poach transfers from other servers that need them. After all, you’ve got the mighty War Machine! You can’t lose! Ever!

I wouldn’t completely rule out the possibility of BG also leaving the tier this week. Granted, it’s a long shot right now, but I think it’s still possible. BG’s successfully gone into points-overdrive before, and SoS don’t seem to be doin’ so well.

Well, if you guys do punch out to T1, wish you the best – although if not this week, pretty soon I’m sure. You guys are quite the T2 powerhouse now. Both TC and BG are awesome opponents, tons of class, and the past three weeks have been the best that I’ve spent in WvW. Cheers!

As I said before, try it out. Get 3-5 guildies together and make lvl 1 mesmers with scepter and have 1-2 lvl 80s for protection. Just watch how fast you kill a geared 80 with those lvl 1’s just using confusion. It’s pathetically funny.

This matchup has been the best so far. TC will definitely be missed if they take their yak parade on a tier 3 tour. You’re sure to be back in tier 2 soon, but by then BG will be tearing it up in tier 1. And I expect KAIN will be in tier 1 with us after a week of reigning supreme in tier 2. It seems we won’t all be together again until we carve out a spot for TC in tier 1. Then it will be time to slay the fatted yaks in celebration!

In the meantime, it sounds like we need a farewell party…any ideas?

Awwwwww. Well, if you’re looking forward to it, silver lining I guess – looks like Mags will be rejoining T3 as well, so at least you’ll have an “interesting” matchup thread. xD

Simple solution – if you don’t like zerging, quit following the blue dorito. Grab 4 of your buddies, and go flip some camps. Get maybe 4-5 of these groups hitting different objectives (while your blue dorito chasers grab keeps and stuff) and pretty soon, the entire map is your color.

Plus, if your opponents refuse to split their zerg(s), they’ll be limited on how many objectives they can hit at once. Nothing is funnier than seeing a zerg of 30+ hit a supply camp or escort a yak – because those 30 people are tied into doing ONE thing. If you’re smart, you have groups of people doing multiple things… and you win.

IMO, quit complaining, start playing. Too many whiners ’round these parts.

ANet doesn’t say anything about corpse dancing either, but we frown upon that as well. There’s a difference between a mes hiding in a keep – where the defenders can do something about it by finding the mesmer – and one that stays dead. Now that they’re gone, you want them back? Our player community is so fractured and fickle, I’m pretty glad that ANet doesn’t appear to listen or respond to us. As soon as those free transfers start, everyone and their brother will QQ about bandwagoning and how unfair free transfers are, OMG they destabilize the system! Lived that dream already, yuck.

We have NO CLUE what we want.

Not slinging stones (well, I guess I sorta am but not in a malicious way) – but I wonder if ANet doesn’t appear to care sometimes because we, as a player base, can’t ever make up our minds.

It appears that we have about as good as we’re going to get – right now, it looks like only three sets of servers are switching positions this week in the NA bracket, and only one of those involves a tier change. That looks pretty stable to me. The downside of that is when players say “good matchups,” they really mean “I want a nail biter, down to the wire, matchup that anyone can win.” That just doesn’t happen very often – even in a good 3-server matchup, one server tends to be better than the other two, one tends be worse than the other two. The outcomes are pretty predictable. I understand this is a bit of a generalization, but overall holds true for most of the servers.

So, we end up with the same (or very similar) matchups week in and week out. While I see the OP’s point, this is evidence of ANet’s system working as intended and I’m not really sure it’s worth complaining about – as previously stated, this is about as good as it’s going to get as far as “good matchups” imo.

You can tell you have a longgggg matchup thread when it’s apparent people aren’t reading it. (No sarcasm intended at all btw) This is an amazing matchup, and the fights are nuts. Learn something new every time I set foot into WvW. There are a bunch of adjectives I’d use to describe T2 – fun, amazing, crazy, etc – but boring isn’t one of ’em!

BG and KN crash into each other all the time. However, over parts of the night and early day, both servers tend to be more opportunistic and take the path of least resistance.

So rather than fighting each other,KN and BG would rather not fight each other most of the night and day(every once in a while crashing into each other) so they can get the easy points double teaming the less populated server. Now i know why you guys cant get out of T2,but i cant figure out how TC is staying in T2 being the least populated server of the three,and being double teamed most of the time.
who do you think is the better server ,and gets the most action?

It’s awesome, couldn’t ask for more. Very competitive, and even when we lose (which, given the skill of both the servers we’re matched with, happens frequently enough), you really don’t mind because of their class and sportsmanship. Pretty impressed – I loved T8 WvW, but this is even more fun than that.

I don’t know if this has been fixed yet, but there was a bug before (around halloween time) when i tried a similar build. The glamour would cause blind, but it wouldn’t proc confusion through blindness which is why i stayed away from that kind of build. Can someone verify if this is working now?

I think the confusion on blindness/glamors cause blind is the only way to get a glamor to cause confusion on cast (meaning those inside the glamor get confusion without moving in/out of the field), yeah? If so, then I can say it’s definitely working – my feedback and null field both cause confusion as soon as they’re cast, both in WvW and PvE.

I have only 800-900 condition dmg but when i stack with my shatters im doing 2k ticks with my dps in the mix as well. It’s very powerful. If traited and built properly you can hit up to 8k ticks (using foods and sigils) but you’d need 6+ stacks for that.

Great post – please be careful with inaccurate info tho. There is no way anyone is getting 8k ticks with anything close to 6 stacks of confusion. Even Kylia (referenced above and probably one of the most proficient confusion mesmers I’ve seen) doesn’t break 7k ticks with 17 stacks of confusion.

Only reason I bring this up is because there are already calls for confusion to be nerfed – no need to add fuel to that fire with inaccurate info. ;-)

This is absolutely not true.

The first in the tier gets green, second in tier gets blue, third in tier gets red.

And in this particular case, DR will move up to blue on reset today – so this may open the opportunities the OP needs (can’t remember if the OP discussed a particular colour and couldn’t be stuffed to scroll to find it).

Your argument is only valid if you presume that world completion is a PvE exclusive achievement to begin with. And it’s not, because WvW nodes count as part of world completion (notice how dungeon points and PvP points are not? This is by design)

I’ve never really been one for PvP, but I decided to start participating in WvW more this week and I just want to say I’ve had an incredible amount of fun. Even though I’m no good at it yet, I’ve really been loving running around with TC and fighting Kain and BG – you guys are awesome. Seeing the good natured banter in this thread was one of the reasons I started poking around WvW more seriously, so thanks for all the fun times!

Welcome to the asylum. I wasn’t into PvP before GW2 either, but tried wuvwuv at the urging of my old GL (come back to GW2 Galv!) and haven’t looked back since. Great times!

Originally from Kaineng, I was part of Kaineng Raiders [KR]. However, when our leader abandoned us with no warning, myself and other high ranks decided it was time to transfer when we saw all the NEO alliance and War Machine were coming to Kaineng. We’ve happily moved over to Darkhaven and regret nothing. Kaineng is no longer itself, it’s a whole new world.

You’re definitely right in that things have changed; I don’t necessarily think for the worse though. Now that we’ve found our new niche in T2 and are facing servers of similar strength, Kaineng is a really fun place to be.
