Snap, PRX in SoS, eh?
They have capes that wrap around your waist. Butt capes if you will (not a clue if that will get censored). Very fashionable. See draconic armor.
In all seriousness, I think most games avoid capes because collision and clipping make them look terrible.
>.> Not to be nitpicky, but I’m going to be anyways. I know what you mean when you say 360 degrees, but… 360 degrees usually implies a 2 dimensional plane of combat, more closely resembling surface combat than underwater combat.
Anyways, yes, do try out the trident as it’s the ranged option for Mesmer. o_o)-b
Also, remember that in a bad situation, you can always dodge and run for dry land.
You could always just take off your armor. o_o
Graphics settings will not affect latency to the server.
Ping (the latency between you and the game server) depends on the route your computer uses to connect to the server. This might include physical distance and number of hops your computer makes to get to the server.
The question to ask would be, “Where is my home server going to be physically located in the world?”
Neenja Edit:
US Servers are apparently in Austin Texas, and EU servers are in Frankfurt Germany.
(edited by DigitalKirin.9714)
I’m not sure what problem you speak of…? Much like above land combat, you can “kite” things underwater, and you can even still dodge.
Positioning and awareness can be improved as you travel around underwater. Practice changing the angle of your camera to spin up and downwards so you can see what you’re swimming into.
Hmmm. Well I don’t know what Australian Victoria Hours would be, but my guess would be a server with decent Asiatic presence… Chinese/Korean/Japanese. I don’t know much about other servers, but Stormbluff Isle has a few Korean Guilds on it.
If you wanna give it a try out, you can look me up sometime – I’m usually on late PST, which I’m guessing is probably early evening for you?
Are they mostly english speakers? Is the WvWvW empty at times? In my server it’s pretty hard to find players. Even thought it’s high pop, when I do though… They don’t reply to anything I say?
Well, Lion’s Arch is always pretty lively with english speakers. Personally, I love the community in SBI. I think the guilds that have chosen to play on SBI from the get go have decided that they don’t wanna jump servers at all and it makes for a better community. WvW for SBI is good, lots of good battles to be had, and it’s always a challenge to fight against really well coordinated guilds from the other servers.
Also! Dun be afraid to ask in /map chat for help with certain Dynamic Events if nobody is immediately around. o_o)-b Best of luck!

It’s been a lil while since I crafted as I’ve been casually leveling up characters to incidentally gather the fine crafting materials needed for my next tier in weaponsmithing.
I just noticed that we’ve got clickable arrows to adjust quantity again! Rule #32 – Enjoy the little things in life.
Ah i guess ill start with a human female guardian….
I hope you enjoy her story!
Are all your characters human females?
Not sure who you’re asking, but if this is asking me, my main character is human female, but I’ve got a female of each race, and i’m working on making a male of each race too.
But you don’t have enough slots unless you increase a bunch.
Truth. You start with 5, so I’d need to end up with 10. I’ll more realistically end with 8, though since there are only 8 classes to play. My thoughts are that if they add in any other classes I’ll make another character then.

It’s really a personal taste thing. What do you enjoy seeing and listening to? The Norn female’s voice is lower and she’s got a slightly gruffer personality.
My personal preference is human female, but your mileage will vary.
My recommendation is this: What do you envision your character as? Play him/her for 10 levels. If you don’t like it, remake or just use another character slot.
Run through the character creation for both and see what you like more?
What’s crazy is when you’ve got the Superior Runes of the Pirate on – pretty sure it’s bugged on warrior because instead of saying “Yarrr!” I just yell “For Great Justice!”
people will bicker and bellyache all they want about Orr is supose to be hard Etc, Etc.
I don’t think that statement even made sense. If people are saying that Orr is supposed to be hard, chances are they accept that as part of gameplay and have no belly aches about it.
Additionally, I do believe it was put forth by people saying that they didn’t like the way Orr was set up who made the first post. To most people, this would qualify as belly aching.
But the bottom line really is…..There is an extremely fine line between something that is hard and something that is just down right annoying, and Orr and all the mobs in it is down right annoying. You wonder why there are no bodies in Orr most of the time? It is an annoying place, and the reason why the way points are always contested? Do to the lack of players in Orr.
(Do → Due o_o)
Not everyone agrees with where your fine line sits. I find entertainment in running through Orr with my guardian friend, and one second I’m right beside her, next I’m getting yanked to the side and she’s chasing after me. (I’m always the one to aggro them of the two of us.)
So, in the end, annoyance sounds like a personal problem. Orr is designed to be the way it is, and if you’re annoyed, then Orr has done its job.
To quote Smeagol, “We’re not in decent places.”
It’s how the dance goes. I never noticed this little touch they added, now I have to try it, haha.

8/10 – I like the name Steelton, just that Agusta feels weird to me without a u between the A and g. Big props to you, however, for sticking with a name for so long… 29 years is quite a history for a character.
My human warrior is named Genevieve Talbot. She is also named after a D&D character that I’ve had (both as NPC and PC in games), though only for about ten or so years. The Talbot name originates from the classic ’41 Wolfman movie with John Talbot.
One of my Alts is Genevieve, a wolf-looking Charr (which is her werewolf form o_o)-b).
Rule #2 of Zombieland – Double Tap.
You think it’s dead (technically it was before you shot it), one more makes 100% sure.
This is by design, though. If there aren’t players willing to fight to hold the land from the undead, the undead will reclaim it. It’s the dynamic in Dynamic Events.
Willingness or lack thereof has nothing to do with it. There aren’t enough players IN THE ZONES to actually hold them.
the 80 zone does, but the other two is impossible to do most of the events in because there just aren’t enough players to go around, and the “players” that do run around there are for the most part just botters i can’t be arsed reporting anymore anyway.
These events are great as long as the zones are populated, once said zone population starts to dwindle it’s game over for the few that sticks around…
Also remember that most events in orr doesn’t take player numbers into the equation, they zerg you with just as many undead no matter if there’s just one player or 20 doing it.
You can always ask your friends and guildies to help you. How many people do you need to uncontest the waypoints in Straits and Malchors?
Ever watch a zombie movie? The one lone survivor desperately fleeing from the zombies that dog his or her every step? Grasping and clawing and trying to drag them down so that the horde can feast on their flesh? That lone survivor running from shelter to shelter, possibly fortifying it for a night or two before having to flee again?
Maybe that was the idea behind Orr?
This is by design, though. If there aren’t players willing to fight to hold the land from the undead, the undead will reclaim it. It’s the dynamic in Dynamic Events.
You can always go and fight to uncontest the waypoint. You could even ask in /map for people to help out too. I’m sure there are people that want those waypoints to get uncontested too… maybe they just need a point person to rally around.
Or you could do it like FFXI. Gather 18-40 of your closest friends twice a week for a year to run Dynamis at a million Gil a run.
I really enjoy dungeons, and a lot of the different styles of fights have been very interesting and very engaging to me.
There is one fight in CoE – Front Door Path that I feel kind of falls short on that intensity/engagement factor, which is the fight against the Evolved Destroyer.
The three people who have to keep the lasers firing at the top have an overwhelmingly simple job to do compared to the two people who fight the Boss down below. They just wait for the interact button to pop up and press it.
I was thinking, perhaps it might be more engaging if these lasers behaved more like the Ballista in WvW. The #1 skill could be the Laser to down the shield, but then give like an exploding shot in the #2 skill. Then you could have something like Adds spawn in the lava and the people up top would have to down them with the Laser Ballistae.
/shrug. I think that’d be interesting/fun.
I haven’t noticed this, but then again, I haven’t been focusing on it.
If the rare drop percentage has decreased overall, we’d probably start feeling it in the TP. Have you noticed rares increasing in price on the TP?
Since you’re high enough level to have weapon swaps, do you have ranged weapons for your thief?
Are you using another “on swap” sigil for your other weapon?
Begone…Oh ye of the sense of humor…this is a place for serious discussion (unfortunately)
I for one applaud his humor. I can’t possibly take this particular topic seriously. I once did when I was a very very new gamer, but in the end, it doesn’t matter one bit if you play a male or female character.
On topic:
I got a disease… and the only cure is… more Female Human.
Oh. My. Goodness. I would totally get a baby quaggan plushie. Though I’d probably more than likely gift it for Christmas!
I’ve decided that if I was to ever get struck by an epidemic, it would have to be the Human Female Epidemic. I wonder if it’s fatal?
I’m not necessarily saying go with a power build, I’m just suggesting that if you want condition damage, that you not worry about MF until you hit level 80.
If you absolutely must have MF, perhaps look at the gems and seals you can add to armor, and eat MF food.
I wouldn’t say awful, they’re just not the stats you’re looking for.
However, fear not! Don’t worry about a few percent points of MF. Instead, eat MF food, and enjoy your run up to level 80. Then build an Magic Find set that you will enjoy. o_o)-b
Ah ha, yes, Traveler’s would be the correct prefix, thank you.
It’s good to see that Mad King’s, Errol’s, Jatoro’s, etc. are essentially Traveler’s gear, though, as that means that it’s really just semantics between saying Traveler’s and any of the other gear.
Human females are fantastic and wonderful people. The world could use more of them.
o_o)-b
That might be a little bit of a bind, since the only MF gear with condition on it is the Mad King’s stuff, which will only go up in price the further away from Halloween we get.
Perhaps you could just focus on getting non MF condition gear, then investing money/time into getting 5 Superior Pirate and 1 Traveler’s runes?
I know there is some good condition gear but why can’t you get it before end game. It’s there in final sets but there is no weaker versions of it that are easy to get.
What about Ravaging Gear? That is the dual attribute condition damage gear. It is +Condition +precision.
(edited by DigitalKirin.9714)
In the dual attribute sections, you could choose to have Ravaging or Lingering gear. And in the triple attribute sections, you could choose to have Carrion or Rabid gear. These all have Condition damage as their “Main” stat.
Um… perhaps you could clarify what you meant by “stats you don’t want”?
Let your friend know to check in during “off peak” hours of the server they wanna go to. The Full status will change downwards as people log off, and then they can transfer to your homeworld. Best of luck to them!
I love having elementalists with me, so it’s kinda sad to hear that people don’t want them. Well, send your eles to me!
For those of you who said that you don’t have any friends or guildies to run dungeons with, if you want to throw my name on your contacts pane and hit me up when I’m online, I’ll be more than glad to help you out with them. o_o)-b
I believe you. One of my friends has successfully run the clock tower fifty times (he loves the puzzle, and he loves helping our guildies run up).
He mentioned that he ran into that exact same problem – getting autosent to the start instead of the room with the reward chest. He jumped to a different overflow server and that helped out. If you don’t get a successful response from Anet, may I suggest trying again?
Ranc, sadly, the point you proved was not the point you thought you proved.
