People would carry Warriors instead of Thieves all of sudden. Deep wound would be essential in everything and due to that they’ll give Thieves deep wound and then Warriors become the minority again…. yea…
I don’t play Warrior all that much but when I do, I play this;
http://gw2skills.net/editor/?fIAQNAneUjcO5uBPyQMxBEjiiIIOPAwAsJUKsj6A-ToAg0EFpKyVkpIZR2iGcssYaB
That awkward moment when you watch someone evade your killshot only to follow up with an eviscerate right after.
This is why I said it should have been a team game. It would be way more fun as a team game.
Real fast, it’s Sunday, so I’ll keep this quick:
Yes, Warrior needs more help in PvP, but is already strong in PvE. Due to that you may see some new splits happening between the gametypes as far as balance goes, and you may also see new traits to help Warriors find a way into team comps.
Better be someway to counter evades and blinds.
Like what? Being able to hit people while they evade? Seriously dude, don’t be like that. Ask for more plausible things.
1: Solo Queues
2: Fix bugs
3: Streamlining PvP armour and rune selection and other menus (Make it more like GW1)
There have been weird anomalies with dodging lately. There’s the immob dodge bug which we already knew about but there’s another bug that occurs when you try to evade whilst stomping.
If you try to dodge while stomping you may look like you’re dodging but you’re not invulnerable and the downed person will hit you. The same bug happened when I tried to dodge immediately after using a skill whilst playing my Warrior.
EDIT: To know that this bug is occurring, your character will only dodge a short distance. Almost like one step.
It’s an annoying bug that really puts you in bad spot if you actually timed your evade right.

try not to play the game faster than it allows. i.e. don’t spam stuff. a little practice with rifle and you won’t have the timing problems and end up interrupting yourself. Rifle is a kittening beast when you get comfortable with it. Far better for 1v1’s and single target bursting than Pistols could ever hope to be. I LOVE the Rifle. Could the “misses” at close range be a little more forgiving? Sure. But mostly it’s just practice and timing.
Dude, all I do is press the button once and then I look down at my bar because I’m wondering what just happened and then you see the bloody thing on the 3sec cooldown and then you can do nothing but headdesk
It’s been here since forever. It always happens at the most inopportune of moments and it frustrates the hell out of you when it does.
Overcharged Shot and Blunderbuss seem to love to fail when you are right in front of someone. Sometimes if just fails just cause.
I used to think it was because I didn’t have a target but Blunderbuss is an Conal attack meaning it shouldn’t need a target and Overcharged shot is supposed to remove immob, chill and crippple so using it without a target is pretty much neccessary and the screwed up thing is, YOU CAN!!! But as soon as you get a target in front of you……50% chance to fail and 100% chance to cause frustration.
This is the reason why I might just stick to Pistols…….
I was just looking at the Rune of Rata sum recently for a build I am working on and I was wondering why the CD for the activated skill on the rune was so long.
I assume the reason for the long CD is because of the PvE skill but since this is PvP, we cannot use the Radiation Field skill itself so having that rune with such a long CD in PvP just feels a bit off. I guess I am just hoping the CD for the rune can be reduced, even if it’s just by 30 secs.
Follow this simple rule; Don’t buy the RNG boxes.
Buying 100 Rox bows just to destroy them is better than RNG gambling frustration.
Looks like we got our answer: 28 may!
I think those are for time extensions not the CAs themselves.
I found a bug where the spirits (Tested with Sun Spirit) don’t take the condi duration applied by runes but rather they only take the duration applied by traits.
I can bet you that a lot more people bought Rox’s Quiver and Braham’s Shield than they will these RNG boxes of frustration.
Heck, even I bought both those things and I don’t like spending money on anything.

Not only because I suck at it and like being carried! But also because the weapons in the area lend themselves to actually “helping” the crab carrier/everyone else that isn’t you. Except the fishing rod, fishing rod is epic.
Actually….. still bugged.
Fixed a bug with Dodge roll where it could get stuck in the queue and unintentionally execute after a stun or immobilize.
HURRAY!!!! CHAMPAGNE FOR EVERYONE!!!
D/P brings an even better daze, Dirame.
I totally forgot about that daze, hehe.
and i would add:
if i’m playing a thief as a burst build ( finish weak opponents), wouldn’t i be better off with D/P rather than S/D ?
long story short:
S/D thieves are still not strong enough to be worthy: you’re not bringing anything to the table you wouldn’t bring with D/P or that couldn’t be brought ( with better results) by other classes.
They should buff sword sustained damage ( they’re actually going to do this in next patches, or at least they said they’re going to buff thief base damage) and create better sinergies within traits ( espcially sword ones, that are totally ABSENT), even more since S/D is pretty ini extensive, so you need tons of ini regen .
The sword sustained damage is pretty good and the thing that S/D brings is daze. That stealth daze can be very detrimental to your target, especially if they are on low health.
Just keep sending them bug reports about the bad tooltips and they will eventually fix it.
Apparently this month is for fixes on bugged traits and things like that so hopefully, we’ll see better tooltips.
It blows my mind that people are here saying these things just to be reactionary. Everyone knows the GW2 pvp scene is only just beginning to build up in terms of streams. Obviously it wont have the same numbers as other more established games.
You are trolls are you are wasting everyone`s time, including your own.
actually pvp streams are not building they are tanked, there were hundreds more pvp streamers during beta and first couple months of release, all those high profile players have left and are not returning. TP is really the only somewhat well known guild left, i think they are just sticking around since they are cornering what limited viewership market there is.
There might have been more streamers in beta but just a few months ago we didn’t have that many. Now more and more streamers are streaming again.
When there was no leaderboards we had fewer streams, now that we do have the boards, we have more streams. Throw in Custom Arenas and tournies and that’s even more streams and viewers.
Compared to the release of the game, it’s not great but compared to the months afterward, GW2 is doing a helluva lot better.
Recently, I heard that Team Legacy might come back to SPvP so, I think GW2 is on the right track if they can get people to even consider coming back.
Worked for me yesterday and I was skirmishing a Ranger.
Backpack regenerator heals for pretty much the same as regeneration and it stacks with regeneration so it’s definitely not useless but I will advice you to take Cleaning Formula 409 instead. Unless you think you can handle condis the way you are and in that case I’d say d-(-_-)-b.
They always had a skill queue, they just added dodge to the skill queue which is making us involuntarily dodge when we didn’t mean to (at least I think they added dodge to the skill queue). Dodging after an immob or dodging immediately after you get rezzed when your probably only hit the button before you got downed or before you got immobed.
I’ve also got this bug where I hit dodge and I do the dodge animation but I’m not evading. This happens to me mostly when I try to stomp people and dodge backwards.
Not bringing Cantha back will be a crime to the people who originally built it, the people who played it, finished it, and enjoyed it, and most of all, the people who haven’t played GW1 but have heard stories about how wonderfully beautiful Cantha is.
Not building Cantha in the way Tyria has been rebuilt is a disservice to all of us who have dreamed about seeing it.
It is a punishment that is best not served at all.
Flame thrower is pretty much a power/damage weapon — not a condition weapon.
This is the reason why you guys can never figure out how to use the FT. IT IS VERY MUCH A CONDI WEAPON, if not more so than it is a power weapon because really, how much damage can you do with it in a power build anyway?
It’s neither a power or a condition weapon. It’s a flashy weapon. The damage sucks both condition and power wise. Trying to use it for damage is just screwing yourself.
Incendiary Ammo makes it a really good condi weapon. I have quite a few builds that utilize the FT to might stack and burst condis. On it’s own it’s not the most effective way to play but combined with another weapon or kit, it’s a great enabler.
to be honest it’s probably easiest to hit them up via twitter or other social media… I doubt they look at these forums often with so many important threads unanswered
They probably leave some threads unanswered either because a) they don’t have answers b) they don’t want to answer c) They are too busy working to answer.
here anet, i spend 3 min for you to solve your queue problems:
separate solo q and team q tournies w/ independant leaderboards
only join team tourny with a guild, team leaderboard == guild rank leaderboardprobably everyone here will hate this because it seems restrictive, but it will help create “team” atmosphere and gives a reason to be in a guild.
you’re welcome
Yea, because just typing words creates the patch and applies it to the server.

Pifil and Draehl, you just gave me an idea based on your ideas!
Decay; Reduces the duration of boons by 33%, every time the target gains a boon, they take damage. Acts like immobilize where you can’t stack the duration unless you layer them on top of one another at the end of the duration.
Question, if the boon is applied by somebody else, who is punished? Would the applier be punished (opening the window to the complaint that the applier can’t always see what conditions people have and therefore could not prepare for the damage) or would the recipient be punished (opening the argument that somebody else applied a boon that they didn’t want and just killed them)?
The other option is to only damage outgoing boons (whether on self or others), but then boons applied by friendly Guardians would not be effected and the condition becomes much less useful.
I’ve just given this condition idea more thought and I agree with what you’re alluding to that the condition might be too annoying to deal with if it damaged incoming boons.
So I suggest this instead;
Decay; Reduces boons by 33%. When a boon ends on the target, they take damage.
Synergizes well with corrupt boon and other boon stripping skills. People like Engineers who get involuntary boons will not feel like they are getting shafted rather, they are getting outplayed.
Haha, nice one Lux.
And apparently no one has seen the Necro glitch with Roots, where Scepter/Staff Necromancers seemingly have to manually target the Root and autoattack it. By the time the Necro can get out of the root, he’s already dead.
YES, A MILLION BILLION YES BOMBS FOREVER!
Its nightmarish at times, but thankfully the ability queue often means I am left fearing and stripping the binding roots of all boons……………….
Many ways to get out of the root as a necro. DS Skill 2 teleport, transfer the immob condition with Staff 4 or dagger 4 or Heal with Consume conditions.
You’re right about mesmers being annoying to fight. Even as a person who is already acquainted with taking out mesmers, I still find them the most annoying things in the world.
With that said though, when I make a new build or any build for that matter, they are always the first group I want to test it on. It’s always the same question “Can I kill a good mesmer with this?” and after that it’s “Can I kill a good Ranger with this?”.
III – Metal Plating – Reduces Damage dealt to Turrets by 50% and reduces AoE Damage dealt to turrets by 30%. (50% Stacks onto the 30% AoE giving 80% AoE Damage Reduction)
Why not just say 80% damage reduction then?
Aren’t you meant to be able to use Static Shield whilst doing other things? If Yes, then WHY FOR KORMIR’S SAKE does it interrupt us when someone hits us. It’s like you’re saying, “hey guys, I know you can use this whilst also attacking but really, you shouldn’t use it like that.”
It’s frustrating that when you’re setting yourself up for a knock back whilst blocking with stacking shield, the knock back gets interrupted by the one thing that’s supposed to work in your favour. Please Anet, if you can fix it PLEASE FIX IT!! I want to fail on my own accord, I don’t want to fail because the game makes me fail.
You must understand that balance is an issue when it comes to changing traits or skills so those will definitely take longer to apply than a broken trait. The Rangers were supposed to see a rework and we are still not sure when that’s going to happen IF it’s going to happen that is.
I saw the name of a map (don’t remember the name now) I had never seen before on one of the Custom Arenas when they first came out. It was named something similar to a PvE map that already exists in the game. I wonder if this is that map.
I think the one nerf anet needs to give Rangers is in the condition removal department. Just like they did Eles cos their condi removal is RIDICULOUS!
If all you guys do is nerf healing spring, that’ll still be great.

This is usually due to the fact that the teams are full. Unless you’re not talking about entering a match where you can go into both teams?
No bug, just bad tool tip. It should say, 5 boons. It only converts 5.
One thing that really struck me as odd was that the Molten Alliance wouldn’t have protected their weapon’s facilities by putting them in places where a good amount of flame legion and/or Dredge are located.
I feel like the Flame Legion and Dredge would be more inclined to have their Weapon’s Facilities in places like Incendio Templum or Tribulation Rift or if you want to keep it within Wayfarer, Moleberia.
I guess you guys might have been working on bigger things when working on this Living story and putting in events that would lead up to destruction of the weapon’s facilities would have required a lot more logisitics but it would have been nice to have to siege the Flame Legion and Dredge Stronghold to get to the entrances to the Weapon’s Facilities.
I feel that these things would have really given me a sense of the world really changing.
Thinking FT isn’t a good condi weapon is just wrong. It’s one other way to do a might stacking condi build that can get you similar results to that of an HGH build.
And you don’t even need the burn duration runes for it to be painful to deal with.
Lol, the bunker build does condi damage. At least, most of then do condi damage. I killed a Ranger bunker with just confusion damage.
I think what you guys are trying to say is; get those solo queues out when they are done and not at the end of the month! Pretty please!!!

As the title suggests, I have a few ideas on how to make conjures more viable.
My first suggestion is; Give them properties when cast.
For Instance;
Earth Shield becomes a stun break and gives you 3 seconds of stability
Ice Bow gives Frost Aura and chills targets at target location and your location when cast
Fiery Axe gives Fiery Aura and burns targets at target location and your location.
Lightning Hammer knocks down and blinds foes at target location and your location when cast.
Fiery Greatsword, knocks back foes at your location and target location.
Second Suggestion is; Let them generate boons while active.
Earth Shield generates protection for 3secs every 6 seconds for you and party members in the area
Ice Bow generates regen for you and party members in the area
Lightning Hammer generates swiftness on you and party members.
Fiery Axe generates Vigor on you and party members in the area.
Fiery Greatsword makes you gain 5 stacks of might for 3 seconds every 6 seconds for you and party members.
The last but most important suggestion would be; Add a stow button rather than a drop bundle button when wielding the weapons (for the elementalist who activated the skill but not for the other wielders). Also stowing the weapon would make you lose it’s benefits (obviously).
These are my suggestions and they might be slightly OP but I’ll let you guys decide that.
(edited by Dirame.8521)
So is this spectator mode, or let a shoutcaster join the match mode?
Pretty much, yeah. It’s mainly for shoutcasters with hopes that the shoutcasters will be streaming.
Doesn’t matter. It could tick for 1 damage and It’d still be overpowered.
Nah just kidding, anything about 200 though and people would be crying for nerfs just because of me.
200 DPS, while a chilled is up, while the opp is moving (totally avoidable), being chilled a low duration condition is OP to you?
Actually its a great idea. It improves our attrition skills.
On my build, I can easily achieve 30+ seconds of chill, not to mention fear forcing you to move (Add Terror to that) I’d be pretty OP.
Whereas some necros don’t do much chill at all, so DS #5 would be worthless to them if the condition had such a requisite. However, a non-spammable condition that only does damage while moving, but while moving is comparable to burning… would not be OP, regardless of whether they need to be chilled (it’d actually be UP in that case, for most people anyway).
That’s why I think it shouldn’t have any requirement of another condition being applied in order to work, it would be more complicated for balancing, oh and for programming as well. Probably harder on the servers as well.
All necros have chill on skill 2 of DS.
And also, doesn’t Fear require another condition in order to do more damage?
(edited by Dirame.8521)
Elixir-S was one of the class defining skills. Anyone who says different wasn’t using it right.
I’m not even sure what point you’re trying to make.
Awhy the buff on pets?!?!
Because someone still managed to kill pets…
…But we all know…anet used to do 1 thing right (Ele nerf in this case)…Felines got a 10% bump in life.
That’s literally it short of Sick ‘em getting a shorter CD
(pets can’t use F2 or switch targets or anything after you click Sick ’em or it cancels the pet dmg/speed buffs)No AI buffs.
No more viable pets. It’s the same game, just with nerfed eles.
And the ele nerf was a terrible way to go about it.
Plain and simple.
Hidden internal CDs are bad.
Nerfing cantrips by nerfing eles is bad.
Ruining the only good source of cleansing a class had without any sort of compensation, the class with the lowest hp in a condition dominated meta, is bad…I main a condition ranger.
Anet seemingly has no idea what they are doing.
They seem to just be going to town just wack-a-moling anything they view as too good. Leaving classes as patchworks of bad utilities, niche balancing and hidden CDs.
They didn’t nerf Eles too badly, they can still remove a lot of conditions in a quick burst. Just not as much as or as often as before.
I can never fully understand this change. I mean seriously? The last thing we needed in pvp was a horde of Shorbow auto-attack spamming/kiting ranger that spams bleeds and other conditions so fast, even Chuck Norris can’t keep up. Add to that an annoying hard to kill pet which now has improved HP and toughness and improved abilities that follows you like a twitter fanboy.
After the massive hit on eles, expect rangers to be dominating every match. Mark my words.
I’m no QQer but for the love of God, why the buff on pets?!?! Buff on spirits, yeah they sure needed it. But pets?! They needed to be toned down actually.
Because Ranger pets need better pathing and better survivability.
