I’ve just encountered a can’t-use-exchange issue that is a bit different from what I see above: I want to buy 40 or so gems with gold to get enough to pick up the Inventor’s Sunglasses while they are on sale today. When I do the Custom Exchange, the BLTC panel brings up the preview of how much gold I’ll have left and how many gems total I’ll have but just hangs there flashing. I’ve tried it 3 times, same results. Could be I’ll find I’ve spent more gold than I wanted to on gems if they all process through later.
I do not intend to spend 10 bucks real money in order to get 20 times the gems I need for this. I haven’t stockpiled gems since the town clothes change, and intend to stick to that even if I miss out on this sale as a result.
You can drag the corner of the minimap to enlarge it somewhat, and you can zoom in on it (default is mouse wheel to zoom while hovering over the map). It won’t ever be huge, though.
The UI cannot be customized beyond enlarging and limited movement of a couple of boxes — minimap and chat, that is. You can increase your font size on the chat box using the options cogwheel. You can drag the minimap and chat boxes to the upper corners of the screen if you prefer that to the bottom corners by hovering over the edge until you see a hand symbol, then click dragging upwards.
There are not “quests” as such, and none inside the cities unless Personal Story sends you there (that opens as of level 10, it will guide you with green stars). Instead you wander around the world and find Dynamic Events, shown by orange circles on the map when you are close enough. Also gather ore, wood, and herbs as you can. Gathering tools are sold by the sylvari vendor next to the bank in DR, and by the crafting vendors by every crafting station.
Explore everything (including DR while you’re there), get into caves, view vistas, find points of interest. XP comes from everything you do in the game (just killing mobs is the worst way to get XP, by the way, you won’t get much from that unless killing them helps a heart or an event).
Also note that just because you didn’t see anything special to do in a location the first time you were there doesn’t mean it’s always empty there. Events spawn under various conditions.
I hope that helps and you find a ton to do!
Something has occurred to me for those who bought a kit thinking there would be something brand new in it: You wanted the new thing, right? Well, if and when they do introduce new styles and faces, the kit you bought this week will have them, and you would buy it at that point.
So while it’s unfair that you didn’t get what the ad led you to expect, odds are pretty good that the kit will actually become what you want later on. In the meantime you can park it in your bank and “use” it from there whenever you like to fiddle with looks just for fun. As long as you hit Cancel or close the window without actually making the changes, the kit remains intact. I have a few kits in my bank thanks to achieve chests and BLC’s, and I use them exactly that way. They do get the new looks automatically when ANet makes new ones.
I’m not defending the ad as such. I think it was a rather unfortunate mistake by ANet. But I do think it’s a fairly small issue, easily corrected, and not worth the high dudgeon some are demonstrating.
Here’s how to unlock a utility skill (once you have the option):
Open your Hero Panel (hit H).
There are a series of icons down the upper left side. Click on the 2nd one down, the pair of … octagons? Some geometric shape.
That will give you three tabs on the left, Weapons, Skills, and Traits.
Click on Skills.
Now you will see a few tiers of skills to the right. The first tier costs one skill point per skill, the next is 3, the next 6, and then you get to the Elites at 10 followed by 30.
You cannot view locked tiers to see what they are (well, used to be you couldn’t, dunno if the NPE changed that). But unlocked ones you can mouse over to see their description. Click on one to buy it with your skill points (which you get at certain levels, or by doing skill challenges in the world once you are at a level that permits that).
You cannot undo a skill point purchase, but over time you will get more than enough skill points to unlock everything, so pick what looks fun or find a guide to the “best” ones.
Your hotkeys 7,8,9 are your utility skill slots. Once you have skills unlocked you can click the little arrow on the top of the slot to get a popup of available skills, and click on the one you want in that spot. You can assign any utility to any of the three slots.
Slot 6 is your heal, and you can buy other heals than the default starter one. Personally I save heal changes for later on unless on a profession that simply gets a better one.
Slot 10 is your Elite. It won’t open up for quite a while. Be advised that you will have profession elites and racial elites, and by design the racials are a tad weaker than the professions as ANet didn’t want anyone to feel they had to play a specific race.
I hope that all helps with basic mechanics. Those of us steeped in this game can forget that some things aren’t obvious.
Is your friend available today? I’ve got the next few hours free and would enjoy helping him get to the Orr chest near the Grenth tomb. It will be an adventure! He may die (a lot) along the way, but I will pick him up. I have any prof available to aid but would suggest I use either my super support protective Guardian or my stealth-providing Thief, those being my two world-complete alts.
Just PM me here, so as to give me an alert to the response whilst I peruse the forums, and we can have a fun, if panic-filled, dash through Orr and any zones on the way to it that he needs.
So they should post a completely bland “Hey, we’ll be saying something, nothing interesting, swing by our panel on the main stage if, y’know, you feel like it?” There’s a difference between interest and hype. Of course they want to do something to tease out interest in attending their panel.
My hope is we will hear some really exciting stuff and it won’t be far distant future but announcements covering the next few months. My expectations? I have none. But it’s fun to speculate and it gives something to look forward to for the end of the month. (As you might see from all my posting today, I’ve been a tad bored with my MMO’s … maybe it’s finally time to go looking for some sort of work again. So hard to be motivated without financial incentives, I must say).
Some are sure this is on the level of when they first announced GW2. Others think it’s all smoke and mirrors and flummery. None of us will know until that Saturday evening when the panel happens. I can only hope that those who are proven wrong, whichever side they’re on, will have the grace to admit they were wrong. Yet I fear that if it’s as cool as I hope, many naysayers will simply find some fault in it anyway and declare it’s a “waste of resources,” and if it’s a letdown, many hopers will declare ANet lied to them.
Ah, I know that, truly
I was just hoping I’d missed something somewhere that would avoid me having to mouse click the button in the middle of the screen especially as I use my mouse to run and strafe. The wiggling is just so distracting I keep looking at it instead of what I’m doing. Plus I’ve seen a few posts from people stating they waited on the boxes and ended up not getting them at all. Not that I think that is a standard problem, but it would be a hassle if it happened.
To be clear, I actually like the wiggling so long as I can deal with it immediately. It seems so cheerful. It’s the persistent motion that ends up giving a flicker effect (just ask my husband how fast I shut down any ceiling fan near me even if I’m dying of heat, if I can’t somehow block my view of the blades).
Back to the OP: How laggy do you find other things? Could you have a connection issue? As I said I get only a brief hitch in activation, but I have a pretty nice computer I specced out last April with gaming in mind and a FiOS connection without any real load on it since it’s just me and my husband using it.
Here is the official source.

Don’t hold me to this 100% as I have never even tried gathering mats for a legendary. But I do believe you can soulbind a precursor (which unlocks the skin) and still toss it in the Forge to make the legendary.
I believe the intended next CDI is GvG (to which I will have little to contribute beyond “please make it a thoroughly voluntary standalone feature or at most a modular add on and not an embedded prime feature of other desirable content such as guild halls” since I’m no PvPer
). They were just waiting for the new year to get rolling to start it as I recall. Though whatever this big deal is that we’ll hear about at PAX might cause a groundswell of support for a different topic?
I think that would be unfair to all those who’ve been champing at the bit to deliver ideas on GvG, however.
I’d have no problem with this except for the random nature of avatar faces you’d get. I have 13 80’s and while Donari is often in my first slot, especially while I do a lot of Silverwastes with my time, he isn’t always. I think it might be somewhat confusing if you’re trying to pick out posts by a person via quick visual cues and every time you look they have a different face to the left of their post. Also, would the avatar have to be refreshed each time someone views the post, possibly changing it to a more recently played alt, or would it be “set” at the time of the posting? You use ranks as an example, what if someone posted something cogent 4 months ago, that still gets referenced; they are now a high rank, but weren’t at the time. So people go to look at the linked post and say “that guy has no standing, I won’t heed this post.”
Just pointing out some possible flaws. I’m all for something to jazz up posts and make it faster to scan down to the next one in the thread by someone who interests you.
edit: Now others have posted other flaws that I see as real concerns. I was just focusing on the pretty picture part, mostly
(edited by Donari.5237)
A good list but I will debate “toxic.” I mean if it’s aimed at one person, as in “you are making a toxic post,” sure. But I think the term applies nicely to some overall behaviors discussed vis a vis champ train disputes and “fail farmers” versus “event completers.” Likewise “complainers” would need to be viewed in context to see if it were a slur meant to deride or a simple description of people with concerns to air.
So don’t be as draconian and undiscerning as the feline filter
“draconian”? ROFLMAO
/grins
I mean how if you use “bit” instead of “tad” in “a tad cheesy,” for instance. Or comment on how hard someone is working on something, but just follow “hard” with “on.” Or say you are going to … gosh, how do I paraphrase this. “Examine the merits of something” but you use a common slang word for “rear end” followed by “ess.” Heck, I cannot even comment on a post by Redenaz by saying he is right, if the letter “i” in any way follows his name. That filter has no context to it at all, it simply checks for letter strings without making use of an exceptions list to allow innocent words free use.
I call that draconian and undiscerning, indeed I do.
Zera, valid points. Except why call it “your little pledge?” That seems a bit condescending and unkind, though illustrative of your opinion that words don’t hurt those who don’t let them. Also it’s not an attempt to limit free speech, as the OP never said people can’t use the words, only that those who wish to join the pledge are free to do so.
If nothing else, the OP has highlighted terms that have become buzzwords meant to still discourse and perhaps some will rethink their use of them as a result.
I’m not pledging, myself. I don’t need to, as I generally prefer to go through life not saying mean things to people. Golden Rule and all that. I don’t claim perfection in this, I can never account for how others will “hear” my tone and react, but I do avoid derogatory terms as best I can.
I don’t. The only delay I get is about a one second interim if I have two wobbly chests to open, the second one won’t let me click it after I get the rewards for the first without that miniscule pause. It takes more time to mouse from the chest to the accept button, in fact. Does anyone know if there’s a hotkey to accept a reward? In time-pressed areas like the Labyrinth it can actually kill you thanks to that big UI panel blocking your view. (Yeah yeah, wait and let the chests stack up, but that wiggling bothers me the same way ceiling fans and whirling lights do).
You cannot hide an Outfit’s shoulders (or gloves), just the helm, which you do by toggling it in your armor as ozmaniandevil states.
It looked more like a recycled ad to me, as the illustration was of hairstyles already available. I think they can justify the somewhat misleading ad by saying it’s new to people that never used a kit before … a tad cheesy, though. I’m fortunate enough to have a kit or two in my bank just to fiddle with looks without ever using the kit, so I double checked and confirmed there was nothing truly new on offer.

I can’t seem to find anything in the article about a “big announcement”. Also i find it strange that on the main GW2 page there is a headline announcing another $50,000 Competetive tourney at PAX east in Boston during March, yet nothing about PAX south, which comes in January.
In fact the article pretty much describes 2014 PAX:
The Penny Arcade Expo in Seattle, Washington is coming up soon!
If you’re going to be at PAX, stop by “The Future of Online Games” panel on Friday, August 29, at 6:00 p.m. in the Sphinx Theatre, to hear Game Director Colin Johanson and other MMORPG industry veterans discuss where online games are headed and answer questions from fans.
The more specific page is at http://south.paxsite.com/schedule/panel/guild-wars-2-beyond-the-point-of-no-return
As linked in the other thread on this issue that I linked some posts above this.
For those who cannot go to that link for whatever reason, the relevant text is:
“Guild Wars 2: Beyond the Point of No Return
Join ArenaNet president and co-founder Mike O’Brien and Guild Wars 2 game director Colin Johanson for an exclusive sneak peek at what’s next in Guild Wars 2 and be among the first to hear how we’re setting up a new framework for how an MMO can grow its universe. The Living World was just the beginning."
Register for an account on Reddit. Post there. Problem solved.
Also my thinking considering that these forums have all but been ignored for years now and the suggestions folder was thrown in the trash. Making things more public like posting to reddit, facebook, youtube, twitch would certainly get more attention and go viral much more quickly in mediums that can’t easily be snuffed out.
The Suggestion folder wasn’t thrown in the trash. It was trash, somewhat, in that it was one big hodgepodge that was impossible to keep up with and sort out if one wanted to do anything else with one’s day. So they very clearly said to please put suggestions in the appropriate subforum because devs tend to look at the forums germane to their area, not all the forums.
The more recent forum reorganization does baffle me, as I thought things were nicely sorted out as they were. But the Suggestions change was not a “snuffing out,” it was the opposite, it was intended to give suggestions a chance to be seen.
See, I feel your paragraph up there might be an example to the OP of what not to write. It’s not reportable or infractionable imo, and certainly reflects a jaded opinion that you have every right to air. Yet it’s accusatory and borders on conspiracy theory, ascribing vile motives and assuming lack of response is the same as flat out ignoring of what’s said. It certainly won’t motivate the devs to jump in and engage you in conversation.
The link to the announcement is in the OP in https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/gw2/GW2-Sneak-Peek-PAX-South/first
Sorry, I thought when you referred to the gold prices in the market for gear, you meant the TP, as that is the game’s market.
Regardless, all exotics of the same level throughout the game are given the same stat weight. Particular stat combos might be considered “garbage” by min maxers. Anything you see in the TP is de facto something gained by doing PvE or getting drops in WvW (well, maybe there’s a source of tradeable gear from PvP but I don’t think so?).
If you want to spend karma the Temple gear is around 242K for a full set of armor, more to get backpieces etc.
This isn’t really a Living Story question.
Exotic stats are all balanced with each other. The pricier ones are because they have rare skins or are part of collections so there’s more demand for them in particular. I think (but am not sure) that some stat combos can only be gained by crafting, not drops, and some of those might be accountbound on creation. However, the overall balance will be the same between any two exotics of the same level. The TP ones are going to be mostly drops, and crafted items made for skillup.
Palador, I think you may be getting automated messages saying you’re infracted when in fact you have not been (this happened to me, and Gaile set me straight). I posit a software issue, not moderators being putzes. I did a followup on my appeal to let them know there might be a problem there.
I’d be leery of injecting poison into a plant being that has stuck little tendrils into plants all over the world. We might find ourselves with massive crop failures …
Ashy, that’s brilliant, White Stag ftw!
There have been many complaints about the WvW map completion requirement. Be assured the devs know there is disgruntlement there.
As to guilds, you have to be actively representing a guild to gchat in it. If you have five guilds, you can still be actively in none of them. Just click on the desired guild in your list at the upper left of your guild panel, then click Represent at the bottom (be very careful not to accidentally click Leave Guild, hopefully they will move that button one day). Any further /g chats will have you talking to others who are also actively representing.
I’m surprised more people don’t go to Rata Sum for all this. The Accountancy WP has personal and guild banks and the TP all right there, and all the crafting stations are a short jog down the radial hallways from there. The only thing you miss out on is the Mystic Forge.
Hello all! Sorry if this isn’t where I’m suppose to post it or if these questions have been asked before.
1.) Can you change the voice of your character? No, you get the voice actor for your race/gender.
2.) How do you get rid of a bag? I’m trying to drop leather bags for purple (atm). Drag the new bag on top of the old one’s tab. So long as it is at least the same size as the old one, it will simply swap with all items still in the same order inside. You can then delete the old smaller one by dragging it outside your inventory panel; later, if the old one is tradeable, you can sell it on the TP or hand it to an alt via your bank.
3.) Is “evading” the only way to dodge attacks? You can actively dodge, or some weapon skills (like Mesmer main hand sword 2) will act as an evade while they are active, and would count as a dodge. You can also block an attack, e.g. by Guardian’s Aegis.
4.) Are skins only bound to the character you using at the time you use it? Or can it be taken off and used for a different character? Skins are account wide once unlocked. If you get an item that is just a skin, such as a fuzzy quaggan hat, you get one free application to an armor piece on one alt by using the skin item. Thereafter you can apply it infinitely to any hat on any alt (so long as armor weight restrictions are met), for the price of one transmutation charge per reskin. Charges can be bought, but even whales like me are more likely to earn them in game via map completion.
5.) Can you give items to another character on your account? Your bank is account wide. Even soul bound items can go in it, but only the alt to which it is bound can remove the item, and there is no tool tip telling you which alt owns it.
5.5) Is there a bank or storage place? Yes. Every major city has one, and some lesser ones as well. Look for the bag icon on your map. Also any crafting station anywhere has a tab for full bank access.
6.) When does an engineer get the ability to place turrets? I don’t know. I leveled my only Engineer before the changes to the New Player Experience came in.
7.) Can an engineer summon a Golem? I do not think it is an Engineer skill, but any Asura can do it via racial traits, so an Asura Engineer could …
8.) Does it matter what class I pick when I choose a race? Like If I were to make a Charr Necromancer or an Asura warrior? Only for some lore reasons. ANet has worked hard to make sure there is no “best race” to play; all the profession abilities are the same across all races. If you RP, then being a Charr magic user might include some backstory of being sneered at. Asura make fine warriors, they have a Peacekeeper “police” force.
9.) I bought the the Deluxe edition of this game, what does that mini “pet” Charr that fallows me around do? Looks pretty decked out, but doesn’t attack. He’s Rytlock, the best known Charr NPC. Minis don’t “do” anything, they just follow you. They are purely cosmetic. Some have fun animations or make little sounds, but they are not a combat aid.
10.) (I can probably find the answer to this one on wiki, but I wanted to make it to 10 questions.) What’s the rarity of items in this game? Color or name. Like the skin that came with the Deluxe that I chose says “rare” and the color of the name is Yellow. *
Grey – trash, vendor junk. You have an option at most vendors to Sell All Junk, use it to save a lot of clicking. If for some reason you are keeping a grey item for sentimental or RP reasons, keep it in an Invisible Bag to protect it from auto-sale.
White – common.
Blue – not sure of the term. Slightly better.
Green – Masterwork. Extremely cheap on the TP to get gear of this color, and it will cover most of your leveling needs.
Yellow – Rare. Pretty decent gear, still cheap on the TP once you have funds but you will level too fast to want to pay for yellows before you are 80. Just use drops you can, sell the others.
Orange – Exotic. Easily attainable, has become quite cheap on the TP for what you get, and most anyone can stop at level 80 exotics and play the game just fine.
Pink – Ascended. Armor and weapons must be crafted by skill level 500 or gained by quite rare box drops; jewelery is relatively easily attainable via Fractals or spending laurels at a vendor. I think you get about a 10% stat boost over exotics. It takes a long time to craft or a lot of gold, or both, depending on your mats stockpile. Please don’t feel obligated to deck yourself in Ascended. Any PuG group in a dungeon that sneers at you for not being utter “BiS” is likely not going to be fun people for you anyhoo.
Embedded answers in bold in the quote.
Maybe they accidentally clicked on Skip to End?
They aren’t random, you get them in creation. Unless you’re saying that step is no longer there? I’ll have to check that out, I know I got all the hats and shoulders by the create, unlock, delete trick described above.
You won’t get the on-the-fly stat changing on the skinned one, but there’s no great need to do all that effort twice unless you really very much want the stat change option and the Twice Told Legend title. As someone who’s never bothered with even one legendary, my advice is don’t do double work for the same item
Albadaran, if you logged into game any time a LS chapter was active, you don’t have to pay, it’s unlocked for your account’s alts forever, even alts you haven’t made yet. The only people who must pay are those who were absent from the game during the time that LS was active.
I’m not too pressed to have the Luminescent for its own sake (beyond completionism), but I see there is a title for getting all the pieces, Light in the Darkness. I like that title.
So I really hope there will be bladder extractors to buy next patch, thus far I’m at .5/4 bladders, doing one or two Breaches a day (because I’m not willing to burn out). I also have to learn how to dodge centaurs to get the ascended doohickey, just waiting on some guildies wanting to work the achieves.
I was sad that I got no boots out of chests and had to drop 4K crests on boots plus accessory. Maybe in this new year they’ll ease up on the rarity?

All arguments already made.

The one caveat to having a friend open it is that you won’t be able to control the dialogue pace or interact with items such as the books in Hidden Arcana — I think you can’t even see the text of the books there. So you need a friend willing to take your direction on when to open the next thing and which dialogue choices to make (such as they are, it is mostly linear).

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/info/updates/Game-Update-Notes-October-21-2014/first#post4527266 (the part about how they will no longer be available “this year,” which occasioned quite a bit of discussion in the forums at the time).
The removal was thanks to the vendor running out of tabs, most believe. Hopefully they will return in a vendor revamp (I intend to pay attention to the PAX announcements to see if things like that are addressed).
Zero Day, I am curious as to why you want the daily reward on a particular alt. They are account bound items. The Mystic Coins deposit into your materials storage, even. Anything you get out of the daily chest you can put in your bank for alts to get. Heck, even the XP from dailies is now in transferable Writ form.
I’m not sure how you can check if you don’t remember how many coins you had before, but is there a chance the daily reward ended up delivered after all and you didn’t realize it had gotten somehow added to what you had? (If not, I sure hope Support can restore your wrecked two days of rewards).
You can. You might have to do it on an alt that hasn’t done that LS yet, I don’t recall whether they get sent to you each time you do the chapter or not. Though that applies only to the four things sent from doing LS; be careful about deleting time-gated pieces like the plant food or anything made with foxfire clusters, hmm?
I agree with Argon, but will say definitely Asura and probably male.
I got my dailies done before heading out to a New Years party that is themed each year for those wishing to costume. This year’s theme was “The Oscars” so we had people in tuxes and fancy gowns, and people in red fuzzy long johns as the red carpet, people with red rope festooning them, etc. Plenty to eat, a choice of champagne or sparkling cider at midnight (I indulged in some Korbel), and a lot of chatting with people I don’t see often enough.
Today I’ll play games including GW2, relax, and hopefully remember to tune in to the Vienna New Years concert at 8 pm eastern tonight.
I hope all of you have all the time you need to have fun in and out of game as well!
Erm … outfits would be better than tonics but I’d almost want a mini-CDI for clothing combo suggestions. Because most of the tonics were incredibly odd choices without any inspiration from the many “here are my town clothes combo” image threads.
I personally dislike the turned up toes of the riding boots, and they look hideously uncomfy when mixed with the sleeveless hoodie, plus jodhpurs with a hoodie? Really? To note just one of the tonic nightmares. I have to grit my teeth when using that on my super-casual Guardian — he used to do the hoodie along with the human town clothes trousers and either shoes or winter boots peeping out under the trouser hems. And his hoodie was a nice pale blue. I miss that look … at least if the tonics became outfits they’d be dyeable.
Who knows, maybe the PAX announcement will clue us in to some sort of quantum leap in customization.
Paid opinion, yeah right. I suppose it might count as such in that people motivated to work their butts off on a game might actually have positive opinions about their product and want to share said opinions, and of course they do get paid for said work, but I am feline tired of people assuming that any employee of ANet who posts happy thoughts about GW2 is only doing so as a job requirement.
Probably there are some employees there who feel a bit disgruntled, that’s going to be true of almost any workplace. And maybe it’s just generally a bad idea to post negative things about people who have at-will power over your employment status, so they won’t be doing that. But even unhappy employees will have something they like about their job or they would leave.
I have a friend who is a writer on a large MMO. He has plenty negative to say about the industry in general but when the day is done, he really loves what he does, he’s happy with the company employing him, and he’s constantly working to improve things no matter what the forum grumblers and flamers claim.
So drop the feline tinfoil already. Pessimism is fine (I used to tell my clients I’d rather be pessimistic and wrong than the reverse, when it came to predicting trial outcomes), but oy veys mir can we stop assuming life is only going to give us lemons no matter what?
I am bouncing in my seat with glee at whatever this announcement may be. I expect it to be grand. Even if it isn’t, it’ll be something changing the game and giving us new stuff to sink our teeth into, like when the wardrobe changes came in. I have a guildie who lives in San Antonio and she’s gonna be at PAX and you bet the rest of us are demanding insta-updates from her!
edit Apparently the post that sparked my little tirade vanished as I typed. Yay! But my points stand.
And as noted above, another option:
Play the episode with someone who -has- unlocked it. You will see the story, which seems to be your main beef with not having access.
I have a lot of free time (not today, got a party tonight) and a lot of 80’s, so if you’re on NA send me a mail in game and I’ll pick an alt to run through things with you some time between now and the Jan 13 patch. I’m typically available midafternoon eastern on any given day except Tuesdays, and evenings as well most days (not Tuesdays).
It’s been a marvelous few years with all you nice people. Here’s to yet another one to come. Happy New Year!
Anyone who isn’t in high school or college or retired or a government worker with use-or-lose leave has been working all week and is still working until 5:00 tonight.
FTFY (whoa, first time I ever did that, it feels odd). I guess “unemployed” should also be in that list.
Though obviously the ANet people are not retired, by definition. Still, a lot of people save up their leave to use during these holidays, so they most likely have a diminished staff on any given day.
Anyway let’s see what sales, if any, happen tomorrow. The promotions tab of the gem store is covered in flags warning the sales are ending tonight, which will make room for more.
A cat shaped and sized like a cat instead of a bolster. Any fur pattern is fine (though Silver Bengal would be oh so elegant).
Mini Scruffy (with Taimi inside, not riding, or maybe its animation involves her jumping inside).
Mini German Shepherd (adult, not big eyed puppy)
Both of those have been suggested but deserve highlighting again. I think naming them was requested on these forums in the first few months of the game before we even had as many available tabs as now.
I confess my tabs are rather jumbled as I shove things in where I have a slot, and at least we have a text search feature so I can find a thing if I remember its name. I’d only name the tabs as a guideline to myself as to where something is most likely to be found. Still, every little bit helps!
I would like to see shortcut tabs for equipment and trait builds for sale so that armor, weapons, trinkets, and traits can be saved as a favorite build macro button.
Build favorites tabs or buttons to be accessed out of combat in the Hero panel
I don’t want this in the Gem Store. I just want it as a QoL update, with a hotkey as mentioned so I can quick-swap looks like I used to with Town Clothes. While I do think the Gem Store is a fine way for ANet to pull in revenue, it should remain a source of optional, fun, and/or mildly useful items, not as a way to put vitally important features behind a pay gate.
Festive Faren makes me renew my interest in swimsuit outfits, though I’d much rather they were armor pieces and had several variations of look. Or else as outfits (thus saving having to find bag space for gear) they should have a few choices and cost much less each.
Town clothes did have the option of not having anything on but still being able to toggle to them. (Side request — an out of combat visibility toggle on weapons would be wonderful. One issue with outfits is that unlike town clothes, our weapons still show, which rather detracts from a civilian garment like Noble Count).
I’ve got a pending RP involving diving in a tropical lagoon and it would be lovely to be able to dress appropriately.
