You should try using numeric cooldowns to better see when cooldowns end.
After deleting the .dat file, have you redownloaded the entire game again? Also you could try the -image command, maybe that helps.
Did some magic in the past to show how it should look like: http://imgur.com/a/g7yrx
But i allready chatted with an environment artist from anet who said that its unlikely that they will change it.
In the Beta they allready got alot of complaints saying “night is to dark”
And there were alot of threads in this forum talking about it.
We understand that not everyone will like it, that’s why it would be nice to have it as an option under graphics.
I do wish they would fix this so that if you do get thrown into overflow, the same event is happening there too.
Not gonna happen, that’s not how overflows work.
Rally only works on enemies that award you exp, so for example you cannot rally on a passing bunny. Some actual enemies also don’t award exp, like enemy summons, are you sure you weren’t fighting enemies that don’t reward exp?
It’s one of places they will use in one way or another in the future. It might be a part of a living story or it might be a dungeon, or maybe something else, there’s a couple of interesting place in the world at the moment that don’t yet have any function, so I’m really looking forward until they do add to them.
I read someone that they said it will eventually disappear when the next living story comes. Chapter-wise, you can do any of them at any time until it concludes, which might be next week, we’ll see.
Weekly position rotations are there to ensure everyone will have a chance to get to any point in wvw, so just keep checking back and you will get your chance.
No thanks, one of the bigger issues I have with GW2 is that too many things are already too automatic and simple, making the overall experience feel shallow and short because nobody needs to pay attention to anything anymore, I don’t want a game that plays itself, which this suggestion will just further contribute to. Simply pressing F without even needing to target the corpse is already simple and fast enough.
A lot of things from the early announcements haven’t really made it into the final product and have been either changed or removed altogether.
LHound is right, it would just ruin the game.
It’s just another attempt to get players out of orr and bring a bit of life out in the lower-mid level zones. I don’t like your suggestion with having to need to create a party for an achievement, the whole concept of events was designed so no party creating was ever needed whatsoever.
Players can run only once per account per day each paths of each dungeons.
Not really, you can run it as many times as you want and still get a lot of gold and it’s really starting to hurt the overall economy, there’s no real system from stopping you farming gold in CoF P1 at the moment, even diminishing returns is too small at the moment. People get 1 gold in less than 10 minutes, which means about 6 gold every hour, and some farm this more than 3 hours a day, and they get 15 gold each single day, a guild mate of mine got 400 gold in CoF p1 in the last few months.
This needs to be fixed asap, not only is it boring and destroys the economy but like others said it discourages playing any other dungeon. The way to fix CoF is to make mobs unskippable, either make them follow players all the way through or simply add doors-walls-barriers in each room which open only after the mobs have been killed. Another way is to simply decrease silver dropped by bosses.
+1 we really need this
Yes please +1 great idea, I’d also like to see an actual darker night time, at the moment it’s just slightly more blue, not even a bit darker at all.
There’s already quite a few underwater places in the game, one whole Fractal and two paths in Honor of the Waves have underwater segments and bosses, there’s at least two jumping puzzles completely underwater, and many other which can only be accessed through underwater. There’s also a hidden mini-dungeon hidden in north Diessa Plateau that has a lot of underwater play. Also I did see some people carry underwater legendaries, but not many. However people don’t really like underwater play because it limits their abilities quite a bit so I think it’s unlikely we will see a whole dedicated underwater zone.
I’m pretty sure we’ll get more game types eventually.
We just did this one yesterday and it was pretty easy, the Karka Rush at Southsun Cove was by far the hardest one I saw so far. You need to take this one slowly, have one half clear the way and the other half be spiders, then slowly go together and wait for the members clearing the way reach the spiders when they climb and jump.
There’s no way to disable a window from opening, if you are opening them by mistake then you will have to remap them to some farther keys.
I think you do get the loot, it’s just that cinematics delete the loot history on the right side, so if you open it exactly at the same time the cinematic starts you won’t be able to see what you got, that’s why we always loot after the cinematic when rushing CoF.
Yes like Khisant said, you can’t have duplicate unique items at the same time, for ascended items of the same stat categories you will need to get one offensive and one defensive version.
Oh I’m pretty sure you saw it, the “minimap” in the lower right corner is actually the compass, on the right side of it you have additional options such as zooming in, out, and toggling rotation, try it out.
But we already have a compass in the game with rotation and indicators. And it’s officially called a compass, if you talk to the very first scout he will tell you to always keep an eye on your compass.
The thing is there is no basic autoattack in GW2 like in other mmos, the only thing you have are skills for your left weapon and skills for your right weapon, each of which is animated when used appropriately. Other games can use the generic dual swing animation because they have attacks outside of the skills a class can utilize regardless of the weapons they are actually holding, however GW2 does not have such attacks hence why you also can’t attack with bare hands. Swinging both weapons for skill #1 would be wrong, because the skill #1 isn’t a dual attack nor is it actually a basic autoattack, it’s a skill with its own set of special properties.
They should make it so all 5 members need to have story mode completed before your party can enter explorable mode.
Agree.
ZenonSeth said it right, you shouldn’t be able to enter exploration mode without having finished story mode first with that character, it really sucks that nobody is doing story modes anymore and your suggestion would kill it entirely.
Contrary to what everyone else here thinks and says, this can actually work despite you already having 100% world completion. Some of the daily/monthly objectives are to discover and another is to complete jumping puzzles. Despite me already having discovered and finished all of them, I can still both discover and complete them again (with the same character) and the system gives me credit for doing it again, no new character is needed, so really I don’t see why this wouldn’t work with POIs and Vistas. The objectives could be to view 5 Vistas, and Vistas can be viewed again despite already having unlocked them and viewed them. The hearts on the other hand won’t fit well into this, but vistas would be a great addition.
What bugs me about whispering, is how it states both your name for when you whisper someone, and when someone whispers to you. It is very confusing.
“From Mad Queen Malafide”
“To Mad Queen Malafide”Why did they do it in this way? When you are playing the game, and casually eyeing the bottom left corner of the screen, you always get confused if someone is talking to you, or if you were talking to them. Just have it say:
“Mad Queen Malafide:”
“Someone else:”Much clearer! It was like this in GW1. Why did they change it?
This is completely wrong, your own name is never displayed when whispering, just how you have shown in this example, you are not talking to YOURSELF, the only messages displayed are FROM someone else and TO someone else, your own name never ever appears anywhere when whispering. If you wanted the system to work like your second example, then that would be really troublesome as you would never know who you are sending messages to. You would be sending whispers to a wrong person never ever having any indicators who the receiver would be. When you might look back in the chat history it would only display your name and you will need to manually remember who you sent it to, also remember not all whispers need replies to serve a purpose, so having a system where a reply is needed to fulfill communication is incomplete. To fix this it would have to look like this:
“Mad Queen Malafide whispers to Someone: …”
“Someone whispers to Mad Queen Malafide: …”
This would however be to long as it would fill out the entire rown and again make you confused at some point, the way it is set up now is the best way it can be, short with all of the information needed. One more thing, your own name does not need to be displayed anywhere in this closed 2 person communication line, if whispers are shown to you, then obviously you are the one of those 2 people.
once you hit hit excessive messaging theres no other way to remove the restrictions, I believe your only option is to rezone to a different map and then return
Apparently you need to repair the client, read this:
http://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Command_line_arguments
The one you need is 2.16 -repair
Did you try guesting on another server and pick the item over there?
I can see this working.
Lolyta is right, it doesn’t really work like that, not always anyway. The only time a character seems to be turning with the camera is when attacks are in progress, or pretty much all the time if you are autoattacking with skill #1, aside from that they only seem to be moving their heads.
Not directly, as lordkrall said, you said buy gems which you can then convert into gold. At the current rates you could get 2 gold for 1 USD.
I don’t know about this, I feel like the map is already displaying a bit too much info and is heavily impacting both gameplay and immersion in a negative way, we need less indicators not more.
What’s weird is that sometimes my character does start turning around when I rotate the camera with the right mouse button, sometimes he only moves his head, but sometimes he does start rotating his whole body.
Your personal Home instance was designed to be your own personal house/place for you to go to, however they haven’t been able to really do anything with it yet, it’s there though in case they do start building up on it, and apparently they already are working on making it have more features.
Regarding back pieces and wings, there are some armors that have wings on their shoulderpads.
Dynamic equipment and the thing you mentioned for minis would be really awesome.
As for dungeon tokens, you can do 2 things with them, keep them and buy some armor/weapons with them for your other characters, or simply but items and throw them into forge, the thing you get out of it can be sold on the TP. Or you can even salvage the items you buy for the tokens and then sell those mats.
Aint gonna happen, they already said they have no intentions of making GW1 again, GW2 is supposed to be a different game from its very start. Also, GW2 is designed to be casual, while GW1 was definitely way more hardcore, both in pve and pvp.
Umm shrinking the box does bring it down for me, the only reason its moved up is beacuse it overlaps with your skillbars (including weapon switch), so you either have to make it shorter or make your skillbars smaller with the interface size option. However, looking at your screen it seems your chatbox is already pretty small and further decrease in size might not be possible anymore, so your only option is to reduce interface size.
Removing those won’t solve anything, then it would just be empty and you still wouldn’t be able to sell it anyway. Either way you need to wait for someone to offer more, or just place it on the TP to sit there for 10 copper, I don’t see how letting it sit there is a bad thing cause you’ll make more than 1 copper when you do sell it anyway.
The custom soundtrack feature has been glitchy from the very start and crafting and defeated playlist were always broken. It’s one of the features they have only loosely included and definitely needs more work.
Adding invulnerability time isn’t the solution, they need to make them scale better, for example they need to have 20,000 – 50,000 hp more for each person that shows up, and also make them more dangerous so that the time spent killing them would be more exciting. Bosses like Jungle Wurm and Shadow Behemoth don’t seem to really be doing anything, they just stand there waiting to be killed.
50 sounds a bit to much to enter a dungeon, but 1 or 2 could work I guess.
I think the concept of fractals is pretty awesome, what I don’t like about them is the fact that there are only 9, and the bonus fractal is always the same. More fractals would certainly be welcome. The other part I don’t like is that their scaling is very slow and feels like a tedious grind. There’s really no difference in the first 9 levels, they only seem to be getting slightly harder about every 10 or so, making it feel that you have to beat the same thing 10 times in order for enemies to unlock a single new attack, or so that the agony scales a little bit, then after that it’s the same thing over again.
Now what I would REALLY like is actual random dungeons, like the ones Anarchy Online had, the ones that are randomly generated similarly to how Diablo has.
Doubt they will make this, the only reason they introduced this was so people didn’t have to complete everything and could avoid tasks they didn’t enjoy and still get rewarded, if there was another laurel for finishing everything people would start complaining again that the game is forcing them to play stuff they don’t enjoy.
Good news is you get additional achievement points for completing the rest of the tasks, and Anet has promised some new content and rewards for those points in the future, so just keep getting them for now.
Awesome idea +1
Yes this achievement has been bugged for many for quite some time now, I myself and my friends got it when we killed the boss for the first time, but many have to redo the fight in order for it to register.
I remember when ectos were only 12 silver at a steady rate and long period several moths ago and I was still making money on them, so how is 28 silver a bad thing?
2. Having a back button on the trading post. It is a bit annoying when I am viewing my buy list and select and item to view, there should a way for me to go back to my buy list.
Just click on the item again to go back. The TP UI should be a lot more user friendly however.
Tested it and it doesn’t work, not the way everyone wants to at least, clicking the item again simply closes the transactions menu, it does not go back to the previous page like “my transactions” for example, and thats the thing he mentioned in the opening post, wanting to go back to buy and sell list.
