its still relevant because it determines what set of servers you can be matched against.

problem is for the T3 servers if they DONT crush the T7 server they will lose rating.

I don’t see XF’s leaving as a sign that we will drop to T4 for sure. XF is only one guild of many in that timeslot. Absolute predictions are pretty hard to make. If you feel its inevitable you could just wait till we actually do drop to t4 level in rankings (not matchup as new matchup system etc).

Its more complicated than you think.

From what I understand its an overall bandwidth issue allowing more than X number of ticking conditions per enemy. Obviously it isn’t a concern in a dungeon when you are updating just 5 players. but when you are updating a lot of players in open world and wvw with tons of condition stacks ticking on each one it starts taking a large amount of server resources and bandwidth. From what ive seen is they are slowly making changes and optimizations to the server/netcode that will fix the condition issue from a server load and bandwidth point of view. After that is done then they can look at the total condition stacks and adjust it.

So from what I understand the fix will take a long time to implement due to its multiple steps that have to be complete before they can adjust condition caps.

Don’t submit multiple tickets on a single issue. What that only does is delays customers supports ability to respond to your issue as they now have to look at all your tickets, close and merge duplicates before they respond.

Submit a single support ticket and wait for a response, if it has not been responded to in 72 hours post in the tickets for review thread at the top of this forum.

Also it wouldn’t be a bad idea to post how you got stuck in a queue in the bug report forum.

Well we are rebuilding momentum in T3 with RE’s help we will not drop out of the T3 spot.
Out of all the servers in the top 9 (besides kaineng) FA needs the most help to stay where they are or to move up. And is probably the easiest to transfer 350 members into.

as an uplevel always keep your gear as best quality and as close to your level as you can afford. The trading post is great for this because there are a lot of cheap greens/rares that you can buy for very little.

Your total damage does not have any effect on the chance to get a badge. You only have to do enough damage to tag an enemy.

I don’t know but their rewards might be determined when they are given vs when they are opened. Would be an interesting experiment to find out.

It amazes me that sweeping changes are apparently made without playtesting.

And it amazes me how preachers of the PTRs seems to ignore the fact that they usually don’t help anyway.

Why don’t PTRs work? I was going to agree with the comment, that any sort of change should be tested in a sandbox like this. Having a copy of the game running on a separate cluster seems like a no-brainer to me. The tests to run can be exhaustive, but that’s what automated testing scripts are for, to do a lot of the heavy lifting.

Serious answer:

Because PTR’s don’t get any amount of people actually playing on them in the same way they play on live. End of story. Most people just jump onto PTR’s to spoil upcoming content and don’t actually participate in any level of actual testing.

I would rate that finding this siege bug on a PTR would be highly unlikely because that would require player testers jumping into PTR wvw to actually care enough to deploy enough siege to find this bug. Its better to update the QA testing script based on this new bug to be sure it doesn’t happen again.

The next step after confirming it is getting it fixed. As it isn’t fixed yet no post is to be expected.

Although it would be nice for devon to step in each day and say that they are still working on it, it is unneeded.

Total Immunity to all immobilizes/snares/chill does not sound a little broken to you?

No it doesnt. You need trait, full set of runes and food just so you could deal with movement hampering conditions.

It reduces during by 98%, if you get 0.4 or below it becomes 0 and the condition no longer effects you.

If you are immobilized for 2s and have 98% condition reduction, it reduces it to 0.04, which rounds down to 0, aka the condition no longer effects you.

Its expensive… because its the most useful and overpowered food.

Game does fractions. A 0.4 second cripple will still cripple you 0.4 seconds. Ive seen the conditions flash on and disappear quickly.

Bleeds and Poison need to hit the second marks to do their damage so a bleed lasting 0.9 seconds does no damage.

Game does not round. A bleed that would last .9999 seconds will do no damage. It does not get rounded up.

Game currently uses additive stacking not multiplicative. This is established as fact at the moment.

If they changed the game to use multiplicative stacking than this would no longer be an issue.

Reverting the 4s revealed change I felt was a mistake. Anet should just reinstate that.

Other than perma-stealth builds thiefs are fine (damage, utility etc) anet needs to nerf perma-stealth from being possible solo – while maybe adding a few more survivability options for the thief to use.

Remember support cant actually SEE your computer and fix it themselves, they can only provide guidance on what the problem could be.

As far as nvd3dum.dll errors that points to a video driver issue, so what they asked you to do is completely reasonable.

@op In all your crash reports you are getting a c0000005 error, which is an access violation. Various things are triggering it and either this means you have a faulty/corrupted driver or faulty/corrupted system files.

To run system file checker:
open an administrative command prompt
(windows vista/7 click start type cmd in the search box, then right click it and run as administrator)
type sfc /scannow and press enter
Wait for the scan to complete, notice if it completed successfully. If it gives a message stating that it found corrupt files but could not fix them you need to reinstall your operating system. If it found corrupt files and successfully fixed them restart your computer.

I don’t know how this is possible when you get some days where the dailies are:

Kill 10 enemy players
Kill 5 dolyaks

Last time I checked though, I was able to whisper people on other servers, invite guild members on other servers, and kick offline party members who are on other servers…
This still doesn’t explain why they can’t use that same code and apply it to WvWvW

I would like to point out that when you are in WvW you are on another server without using the guesting feature.

So no, its not the same thing as instanced/otherserver/etc.

May I ask you Muramasma.1570 what guild/guilds you were apart of during prophecies/factions?
