NSP has night shift, Devona’s doesnt, which is why NSP beats devona once it gets really really early in the morning.
Kaineng doesnt have people, and arenanet hasnt done a thing about it. I’m sure they are ‘talking’ about it, but its getting to the point where even I’m considering just giving up and going to a server with no queues but at least has people.
At least this round we hold our own fort forever due to a bug…

Ok a few things
The difference between a variable rate based on server times and the system i proposed of a population based system are pretty big.
When you base it on server times you are being strictly unfair to people not in the prime of the server, what if your server and you opposing servers have similar off prime populations? The work they do in the off hours is mostly going to waste besides prepping for the ‘real’ times.
By basing the multiplier on population youre creating a system that can be applied to any server regardless of timezone. If a server is severely disadvantaged they only have to hold less objectives to get equivilant points, they can concentrate their population in 3 out of the 4 maps in order to hold as much territory as possible. While the larger server will be winning in total point gains, the gap between the servers wont increase as severely.
Basically if your server has it tougher in wvw, and you have less people to work with, you get more rewards for your server for accomplishing things. If the server with a concentrated Aussie population has a problem with it, they should switch servers and even out the night time populations so you reach population equivilancy so wvw is fair and fun at all hours.

right now the gate defense trick is to setup 2-3 cats behind your own door, hitting your own door.

Its part of picking one class over another. Also keep in mind the guardian can only stop one stomp before he gets killed. Lighter classes often its just easier to autoattack them to death.

You ‘should’ be using your bank to transfer stuff between characters.
Make sure your mailbox isnt full on the character you mailed the items to.
Also verify you didnt attempt to mail to an account name instead of character name.

Try entering your personal instance in the city and see if it skips you to the next step. Still needs to be fixed but it might get you unstuck.

Only certain upgrades are worth it at this point, oil, cannons. Repairing the wall only worth it if the walls are damaged. Tougher walls and doors only delay attackers and cannot repell them.
Cannons are very strong, and arrow carts are broken against zergs (olol retaliation). When retaliation gets fixed you can put down enough arrow carts in advance as a force multiplier (make each individual on your team worth 3-4). Then setup a treb to make sure the enemy cant build siege against you.

Here’s a novel idea: don’t allow low levels (sub 30) to get into WvW.
They’re usually canon fodder and takes the space of level 80, geared PvP’ers.
Please no. We struggle already on kaineng population wise, and this would make it much worse. I have several sub level 30 friends that play with me.

I’m not talking about outmanned, thats a seperate mechanic.
I’m talking about total server population in wvw. Outmanned is zone specific and not applicable.
Scaling a bonus will help keep the scores more even overnight for servers that dont have strong night forces, if your enemy is taking things with little to no resistance, its not quite fair that they get more points for it.

DE’s are a huge source of exp, dont rush the objectives, do every DE you find. Also zones that are level 25 and greater are not designed to level you all the way to the next 10th level, thats why there are more than one of these zone sets.

Current animations are far more realistic than you might think. Its just prior video games have gotten us used to dual wielding is actually constantly using both weapons.
Animations are correct. When you use an offhand ability it uses both weapons, if you use an ability that says it strikes with both, it strikes with both.

They are required to remove the items that they exploited or botted in the terms of the unban.
If they do not do this, their account will be locked with no chance for appeal.
The account is also marked or flagged forever.

I would like to see map chat muted for people that are getting very high amounts of reports for spamming for 3 days. If a player thinks they were falsely muted, they can appeal the mute, and support can take action against accounts that are obviously falsely reported, giving them 3 day bans. The autoblocks only work if people report from the chat window by right clicking the persons name with the message that is spam/goldselling etc.
Same thing for mail. If everykittenmail you send is getting reported, why should you be permitted to send mail? Block the feature from that account, pending review from support.
Then whispers if someone is getting reported constantly after whispers, block their ability to use whispers to people that do not have them on their contact list.
Party doesnt have to be moderated, and say for the most part should bo ok, though if they start using that then maybe locking them out of /say as well as /map would be good.
Guilds and parties can moderate themselves.
And gold selling will be self moderated by the community out of existance.

They could base it on population, and give bonuses instead of changing tick rates.
If you are outnumbered by 50% your holds should be worth 25% more, ending at 75% more when you are 100% outmanned. (0 for 25% pop disadvantage).
The bonus could easily be displayed and tracked. The bonus should be small enough that larger servers and pops still have the advantage for having more people. But they should be expected to expand their holdings.

They could easily make it so you cant deploy siege down there (same mechanic that stops players from deploying siege in their citadel). A well placed arrow cart will pretty much stop anyone from getting through there with no recourse but to use the retaliation mechanic to defeat the arrow cart.
When retaliation gets fixed (and it should be) there will be no way to get through against a single arrow cart.
Maybe more invisibility buff locations?

We defend things on EB, we had a very strong defensive network setup last night with trebs at different towers to cover other towers, even if a tower gets taken we treb it and retake it easily. I noticed the mindless on our borderlands never defend. I gave up on them though.
Running around with map and team chat off and never looking is always a bad idea.

Outmanned should at least give the person with the buff the equivilant of having 3 orb bonuses – owned orbs.
So a server with 3 orbs gets no added benifit from outmanned, but a server with 0 is put on equal or better combat footing.

I had this wild idea pop into my head. Why not have supps at starting WP? So far this has just turned into one team controlling all maps, and going to spawn lock the other two worlds, mine is one of them. Why not give supps to the locked out or all worlds, so they still have some kind of fighting chance to take something back? All out domination, is no fun at all. Just a random thought from an insomniac.
Supplies (is that word too long for you to spell) at the starting waypoint is not going to change anything. If you can’t be bothered to fight for a supply point then your server doesn’t deserve them to begin with. Making the game easier for people who can’t be bothered to make an effort is not the path to take.
So what do you do to get supply if your enemy is camping the ways out of your base with arrow carts and seige weapons? If you could build a ballista you could take down their siege weapons.

This is such a non-issue. New guilds dont stay new very long.
Also there are no bugs with claiming right now.
How it works: when an objective is taken the guild with the most participation gets the first rights to claim an objective. After about 1-2 minutes if the objective remains unclaimed than anyone can claim it.
So if a new guild is fielding 60 members and wants to claim it, frankly I dont have a problem.

No, were starting to get some really good coordination on EB. Were sticking out a spectacular fight so far, i’m sure we will lose everything by morning to the other servers night zerg. Devona’s also doesnt have a night force at all. We just finished a 2 hour long siege of stonemist, where NSP managed to win because they had a lot more people than we did. But we still got in there.

I don’t think anything needs to be done to reduce queues. Everybody wants to flock to the winning team, but there are hard caps on the number people that can play at once. If you don’t want to wait hours and hours, change Worlds, simple as that.
Guilds will get tired of the queues, transfer, then boost the WvWvW rank of lower pop servers. This will help increase parity among Worlds, and that can only be a good thing in the long run.

They arnt willing to look past the influence thing to switch servers. Just look at this thread.
If you honestly think that is the reason, then you are either blinded by bitterness or really not paying attention.
I explained the problem Mike’s suggestion in depth on the first page but to give a very short explanation, the fact of the matter is there is little to nothing big alliances/communities can do about the problem while the free transfers remain completely and illogically unchecked. To this day, HoD despite being astronomically overloaded when it comes to WvW is still open to transfer and the situation is getting worse each day because of it.
Until that situation changes, there is nothing we can do. All changing servers would do for an alliance like Titan is betray the non-alliance players/guilds on HoD we have been working with, poison our image in the WvW community and within a week, get us nowhere. Those who want to leech off our efforts are completely free to follow us and will do so. We end up losing the player base who does put in their fair share while having nothing to keep out those who don’t.
Call that what you like but I don’t see that as remotely worth transferring for.
You may be right about a lot of people jumping ship and joining you, but I doubt its the number you are imagining.
Team Legacy switched servers the day or day after the new servers opened. Their server STILL doesnt have a much of a queue and now they are in the top 5 servers. Now that is a guild I respect. They realized for the fun of their players and their wvw focus that they would rather play the game, against really tough odds and prevail than continue on a server where they had a hard time getting 10% of their guild into the same wvw map. They went up against servers with large populations and beat them, snowballing to a larger server population and healthy wvw scene.
Secondly, your post disagrees with a member of your own alliance, and I quote:

Do you play video games to watch numbers go up, or do you play them to have fun. I suggest you swallow your fears and just make the switch, and see what happens, you might enjoy the game more.

In WvW you are auto leveled to 80, so that that into consideration as far as damage scaling goes…

There are limitations on server hardware, why should arenanet widen the queues and cause more issues on those maps with ghosting when people can just move to servers with no queues.

Also Kaineng has no holdings right now at all in its current matchup. Though I did notice we have a better score today than we managed yesterday. Its improving a little but thanks to those that are switching.
