There is nothing that can be done. They only restore based on actual hacked accounts. People can fake ‘my brother did it’ too easily to force an account restore (in order to get a sold precursor/legendary back for instance).

I would like to see the following quick changes:
1) Allow different color tags
2) Allow visability toggle (Off, Party, Squad, Guild, All).
-expanding on 2, visible party only would allow parties to designate a party leader to follow, squad only would allow commander to ‘tag off’ and remain visible to his/her squad. Which would fix part of the problem with multiple commander tags and the squad system is if your commander needs to tag down for a bit then the entire squad needs to rejoin the squad after s/he tags back up.
also expanding on 2, if you select an option it includes all lower options. So if you are visible to your guild, your party members and squad members can also see your tag.

Try that, give it 5 mins then try to log into the game client, make sure you are logging into the game client with your account email address and password. Your account email address is under your numbered name at the top of the forum: so for me its under Draygo.9473.

um, i’m pretty sure you wont be able to fight t1 players as a t8 server in EOTM.

The way EOTM is laid out it seems like there are only 3 places to spawn, or am I wrong?

Several people are asking for refunds for town cloths because Anet disabled town cloths in WvW. While I am not personally affected, guild mates of mine and friends of mine are so I do have an interest in this issue.

I also have an issue with the messaging support representatives have been giving people that have made the refund request to support.

Particularly this line:
“We encourage you to exercise care when conducting all your gem transactions.”

While it may be with good intent, this line seems to lay the blame on the player after support initially refused the refund. This wasn’t an issue with a mistaken purchase, this is an issue with plainly not being able to use something ~98% of the time these particular players play the game as they spend most of their time in WvW. A player cannot predict, or should not be responsible for radical changes made by the development team. Its one thing for skills on the toys to be changed as needed, its quite another to make an item unusable then tell the player to “exercise care when conducting all your gem transactions”.

I suggest a review on what cut and paste responses are acceptable to certain requests. I do understand the support reps have to churn through probably hundreds and hundreds of requests per day – but being made aware of game changes that might trigger refund requests should be apart of their internal knowledge base.

First of all you need to realize that nobody likes Scarlet because she’s poorly written, annoying, and doesn’t make sense in the established story.

Secondly, the battle for Ascalon you see in that fractal isn’t the Searing, it’s the siege of Ascalon that happened right before the Foefire. The disturbance at the end that requires you to be extracted to safety is the Foefire itself.

It is more likely that this fractal is the attack on Drascir (ascalon’s original capitol), not ascalon city. The other probable location is Rin which was again, ascalon’s capitol before it fell to the charr. Keep in mind this fractal is depicting a battle right after the searing, Ascalon City didn’t fall for over 2 years after the searing.

Another likely location is Surmia, which was the first city to be attacked post searing.

Just cut to the downstate for 1-3 seconds before moving on to the next clip :P. And yes a lot of those fights were long, the ones that we won went this way:

You wiped a bunch of people at the start of the fight. The people on teamspeak and our veteran players avoided the damage (most of the time) and slowly chipped away players from your ball 1-2 at a time until your ball was weak enough to be fully wiped. Overall your group was fun to fight and very well organized. We had a few people comment that you guys looked like a school of fish.

On another note:

It was pretty intense holding our gari from multiple assaults from HoD and even a couple from Ferg.

If DR gets second we get a 3 way tie for 6th and we all share 6th place rewards

If AR beats DR, AR wins 6th place, Kain 7th, and DR 8th.

DR winning 2nd means 3 servers winning 6th overall, so go DR!

I dislike compilation videos in general, you guys are good. The only fights that you showed that finished were the only fights you won, the cut outs were the ones you lost. Its ok showing your guild getting beat by larger numbers. Every guild group wipes at some point, and I love the compilation videos that are honest and respectful to their opponents. Plus its more fun to watch if I didn’t know the fights in advance because I wouldn’t already know the outcome. If you only show the fights you win or cut out before things go south it makes the video far less fun to watch because it becomes far to predictable.

it takes 3 people to do the lab, maybe 2 with Mesmer and with creative use of portal.

just use the LFG tool and play with other people in an MMO, its not a terribly hard dungeon in story mode.

I think this is more an issue of numbers, not tactics.

When I was rolling in ET BL with a STAR group that had maybe 15 people, we went to north camp and fought vs ET basically for nearly 30min. They had well over 25 and kept running back into the fight. We had I think a total of two downs over the course of 30 min(one of them was a low level anyway), and our bags were all full.

I was witness to this fight you talk about. And I personally downed at least 5-10 of you. I was one of the kaineng in the back

I didn’t see more than 2 go down, maybe they were the ones that strayed from the group.

That’s what mooncow does, he finds the stray and weak and finishes them off.

guys calm down, I think Ecstasy submitted another ticket because s/he believes the first email account is not receiving mail, which is exactly what s/he should do.

Ecstasy, while support works 24/7, Gaile does not work 7 days a week, she is not a robot! As you probably do need assistance she should be able to help you but you need to let her get to work first and have time to review the ticket herself. If they said you were supposed to get your legendary and you did not then they should fix this issue for you.

The second ticket isn’t an issue here because you seem to believe you are not receiving your responses on your original ticket due to a known issue with yahoo accounts. If you are still receiving responses on the original ticket then opening the duplicate ticket will slow you down your response a little as they have to re-verify you on the new email account so have a little patience and I’m sure everything will work out. It will be ok.

Just auth emails are being blocked right now? interesting. This seems to be in yahoos department as the host guildwars2 is using isn’t on any known blacklists and the headers are coming back clean. If you are having issues at this point you need to either get yahoo to fix it (good luck) or switch email providers.

My yahoo account can still get support emails and authentication emails as well, which makes it more puzzling that some people are having the issue while others are not – to me this points specifically to an issue inside the yahoo ecosystem as the culprit.

Part of the problem is definitely the tech behind it all… stacking is extremely effective way of negating siege damage in a large group… and since there is zero collision between player characters as far as I am aware it is a free way to essentially ignore most siege.

Eh? I’m pretty sure arrow carts maximum is 50.. Stacking a large number of people under ac fire is going to give a lot of lootbags to the ac operator, especially when combined with treb poison.

Um, meteor shower has always been aoe capped in GW2.

Things flipping quickly actually supports small groups not large ones.

a 70+ person zerg can definatly take things quickly, but 15 people can do it at almost the same speed, also 20 people can significantly stall a 70 man zerg outside of omega spam.

Put these two together, if you have a force of 20-30 working to stop/stall the 70 man group, several groups of 15 or less can cap other undefended objectives.

Strategically smaller coordinated groups are better and more flexible than a single larger group. They can meld when needed to also form a large group and split as needed to cover more territory quickly.

Tactically, the larger group will win engagements with smaller groups, are you perhaps talking more about the tactical advantage of grouping up verses the strategic advantage and disadvantage of larger groups.

When an opposing server own something in an enemy BL, why does your server seem to prefer to attack that objective first instead of focusing on one keep of the BL’s owner first?

Like ferg would own one keep on kain bl, and your zerg will go take a shot at it first before attempting any of kaineng’s keeps. Or like last night your server attacked hills twice in earnest before finally attacking (and taking) bay.

Don’t get me wrong, I don’t mind the loot its just that DH is bucking the norm of doubling up on the home team in their home bl and I’m kinda puzzled as to why.

The devs, like us tend to stick with their guilds and friends. If their guild happens to be on a top server, that’s where they are.

NSP has a guild in it which originated in gw1 alpha that a lot of anet devs are members.

DH was ticking less than 150 for a while, only owning their keep in EB.

My email account I use with GW2 is a yahoo account and ive had no issues receiving mail from gw2 support.

One caveat though is I do not have arenanet send me mail very often to that account (only a handful of support inqueries, and a few auth).

I do feel that at this point its in yahoo’s court with getting the emails through. It is possible that they have some sort of account level blacklisting for emails. The odd thing is my yahoo account is receiving support emails just fine, while other people are not – which to me is strange. So it has to be affecting a block of yahoo accounts and not all yahoo accounts.

Are the yahoo accounts with the issue all mail+ accounts? Are there any specific features on your account that may be contributing?

Make sure you double check your blocked addresses list in your yahoo account settings and verify that guildwars2.com is not there.

To be honest, there is a difference of opinion about whether that change will fully solve the problem, but we’re hoping!!

Yeah, it might not fully solve it but it should help. And of course it takes a while for mail servers to react to changes like this and you still have to fight your way off spamlists/blacklists.

I’m positive it will lead to the removal of the fraud flag from the Microsoft servers at minimum.

There is no malware on the mos.millenium site, it is simply a false positive.

Not yet. Eventually that functionality may come as part of the API meaning someone might make a tool for you to use that does this.

recipe’s are consumables. The location is correct.

They already changed the numbers once on 2 of the achievements to eliminate them, so they can do it. They simply just haven’t yet.

rating system is working fine, leagues just put a line and rating points cant move between the leagues.

Once NSP plays any bronze league server they will bleed all those points away.

Well it was fun defending DHBL garrison and hills with 3-4 people. Nice that you had to resort to just dpsing down the door with 25+ without siege. Then DR wanted to join the party.
