Just for the record, we know exactly why we are in Bronze League. No SEA\EU coverage at all. We know our NA numbers are strong, pretty much always has been. But as soon as we go to sleep/work we lost all or most of our PPT. Nothing new, so I am not sure why you get all upset (again, see the bold areas above for the all caps and … use to illustrate how “not” mad you are) that our rolling you has happened again.

This is why I like ET and FC so much. They got stomped for 2-3 months straight and acted with class pretty much the whole time (there are always a few bad apples). And look at them now, playing pretty kitten good in this League.

That it isn’t appropriate to post in a thread where your server is stomping. We like our server much like the fact that you like your server. Server recruitment is that way.

Also you don’t want a bandwagon on your server. All bandwagons do is join your server promising good fights, and winning, and they will stay forever. Only to take over your community, push your server up in the rankings and as soon as you cant move up anymore jump ship to another bandwagon completely desolating your community far worse than it would have been if it was just left alone in the first place.

When within the first couple of posts someone is gloating I tend to look down on that server and not treat them with respect.

u are aware of the fact that smaller groups will get wiped in seconds if aoe cap gets removed if they meet a bigger group.

small groups get wiped today when they meet bigger group.
if you remove the AOE cap small group will have a good chance if they are organized and the big group is mindless zerg.

1- thief,
1-guard
3- eles or necroes etc

thief spot the zerg, cast shadow refuge on group.
the zerg come close, thief switch to SB
the eles and necros and thief start casting their AOE together
the guard cast sanctuary.

the zerg is busted

What actually happens:

Zerg sees your shadow refuge and pounds you with AoE and AoE CC from 50 people and you all die before you get your second aoe off.

No. This will introduce rubber-banding which is as horrible as skill lag.

Its basic knowledge.

Body blocking will require additional computational resources by the server thus increasing lag.

The server will have to track movement more accurately as well.

The problem isn’t the banner but the waypoint that lets them pop in every 3 mins.

But I doubt its going to get fixed anytime soon.

In light of the inaugural World versus World season, a troubling issue has come to my, and others’, attention. Namely, a large influx of players, who normally participate in non-WvW game activities and types, are struggling to enjoy the gameplay which many of us have had several months to learn and master. Perhaps the greatest issue which interferes with these players’ enjoyment of WvW is the current meta of high-player count “zergs” (also known as “blobs”) which dominate combat. With this in mind, many players who are not prepared for the state of gameplay find themselves in the downed state quite frequently, without much of a chance to rejoin the large-scale battle that is WvW.
Quite frankly, if something is not done to help these players, the state of WvW will be placed in jeopardy – the developers cannot neglect these players if they expect long-term growth and stability.

Now, with this problem outlined, I now bring a potential solution to discussion: Downed State Mastery

The intention of this WvW Ability Mastery Tree is to balance the current disparity present in WvW for newcomers, both PvE veterans and under-leveled players alike. In other words, this line of abilities seeks to strengthen these players’ chances to stay in the fight!

Below are my preliminary ability suggestions:

Level 1: Gain 300% more hp while downed.
Level 2: All down state skill cooldowns are reduced by 70%.
Level 3: You transfer 1 condition to your attackers once per second.
Level 4: Once downed you will be rendered invulnerable for 2 seconds.
Level 5: Instant rally once downed on a 180 second cooldown. Once rallied you will recieve: protection, regeneration, retaliation and swiftness.

I wish you would do some basic cause and effect critical thinking before you post buffs that would be must haves because they are completely overpowered.

Your level 1 buff: Makes it unviable to dps a downed player in small fights, you now must stomp. There are many times like when were fighting glass thieves or mesmers where it is better to drop dps on them because of their down state abilities make them hard to get a stomp off.
Level 2: Are you serious? We can rename this to thief and mesmer will never die ever because he can keep restealthing and teleporting over and over again without ever coming out of stealth. Use BASIC critical thinking. Ask yourself what this changes. Combine this with the Level 1 terrible idea you put down and realize that this change will make it impossible to kill mesmers or thieves in downstate. In the case of mesmers they will be able to spam out 3 powerful downstate clones quickly while remaining unkillable.
Level 3: WAT! so every time you get hit, once per second a condi stack moves to an enemy? Are you serious? Make it impossible to run a condition build in wvw without conditions bouncing back to you. Terrible idea.
Level 4: This one is ok, but you are already invulnerable for 1 second…
Level 5: WAT. Kill small scale combat again please.

tl;dr: this is a bunch of absolutely terrible ideas. This thread is full of terrible ideas and I hope the devs will never implement them. Just a little critical thinking and you can find out how bad these will be for WvW.

Transfer to low server, ride it to the top, collect rewards, repeat.

Server hopping is already an issue, why encourage it?

Top servers still gain the top rewards so there is no incentive to jump from a top server to a bottom server.

Servers on the bottom should have something they can realistically achieve. A server like NSP which is a top of bronze tier server has no real hope of beating FA or SBI, but they are definitely going to be improving their rating.

2: create 1-2 new maps

Trying to force transfers to other servers because of long queue times is a backhanded way of handling the issue.

The issue was caused by people transferring to those servers.

So I don’t see why it cant be solved by people transferring off those servers.

Anet should enable free transfers to servers without wvw queues.

Doesn’t matter what you were looking for, what matters is what you got. Any attempt to recruit when you were already in T1 is called stacking. Yes to compete with the top already stacked servers you have to stack – but recruiting people is not what I call building community.

Building community is reaching out to those already on your server and getting them involved in wvw. Now achievements have done that for you and you have long queues. So you have 2 choices:

1) Deal with it
2) Transfer to a server with no queues.

Whining on the forum will get you no where and no sympathy from any player that has had to fight a stacked server.

Did nobody up there actually stop to calculate that for the few hundred, to maybe couple thousand WvW players a server has, even the most WvW loaded server in NA like SoR, they have four to six times as many PvErs, and realized the T1 queue times would be made four to six times worse because of that?

Maybe next time a dev says something on the forums, actually listen instead of just bashing him.

I’m on a server with no queues. You can transfer to a server with no queues as well.

Ive never gotten 56 kills in 3 seconds before.

What universe do you live in? KN is hitting HoD, were fighting nothing but HoD for like a day now.

Even at double, or triple the dragonite ore wvw will not come close to PvE even in the most optimal of situations.

Its obvious that they have been working on that map for a while. They did state it takes roughly 6 months or more to get a map built. Map looks built but it seems they need help testing the map in a more live like environment.

Its not the fact that you are in bronze that bugs me.

Its that members of your server are gloating about it after plainly tanking on purpose.

I am sure every server has people in wvw now that hardly ever step in it. But having people running around saying “after not being able to play for 2 weeks look how awesome we are let me post a screenshot showing hod has over half the total score and +400 ppt” is just terrible.

If that holds true then KN isnt going to be in bronze they will be in silver.
1-8 , 9-16 , 17-24.

EU is split into 3 leagues of 9 teams, as there are 27 EU servers. There are only 24 NA servers, and putting 8 servers in a league wouldnt work because there would be a matchup with only 2 servers each week. So NA is broken down like this:
Gold League:Server Rank 1-6(6 servers)
Silver League:Server Rank 7-15(9 servers)
Bronze League:Server Rank 16-24(9 servers)

At the end of this week NSP will be 15(last spot in silver) and Kaineng will be 16(first spot in bronze)

How does it feel to be wrong?

1. GW2 Style GvG (15v15 TDM with WvW gear/skills/food) with official ranking and the ability to fight any guild from any server.
2. Add a debuff to a zerg of 40 or more within a 600 range. -33% movement speed/endurance regen
3. reduce skullcrack stun to 2 seconds
4. Reduce Siege dmg to players by 33%
5. Give rewards to players who defend towers/keeps but do not give exp/loot to players who man siege. (reward must be enough to compensate for this)

Solo guy following a zerg really isn’t a pug.

We beat him by having everyone stand at his feet and dps with melee. Much higher dps than using ranged.

Are you even aware of how you get the sugar crash in the middle of a fight?

I am not aware of anyone on kain that transferred to HoD

Plus it would be silly to transfer this week to boost HoD’s rating so your original server can get in bronze.

Because you cant transfer back for a week, which means your current account would be stuck with HoD’s reward, which would defeat the purpose of boosting HoD…

They used the southsun survival code so they could mist other players in the instance.

So a huge fat norn cant block your vision.

It should reduce server lag a bit in large fights as well. Probably not much but it might be more significant than we think.

At least the dodge key now has a use in zergs. Before it was just simply better to not dodge.
