I need a proffesion whith great dps, and I don´t wanna play the noobish warrior prof. Which proffesion offers a lot of dps in normal pve dungeons? also, maybe, what do they add to a dungeon grp besides damage?
((Damage)) is just a combat mechanic. There are many ways to deal Damage.
ALL 8 Classes do well in ((Damage)).
((Control)) is another combat mechanic which you need to do while dealing damage.
There are many ways to Take Control away from your enemies and staying in Control of fights.
Such Examples: Movement, Dodge, Evade, Knock back, knock down, Immobilize, weaken, Vulnerability Cripple etc.
Then you got ((Support)) which is very important as well. You need to be able to Support yourself while staying in control and dealing as much damage to enemy as possible.
If you get conditions, Remove them. If you need to move away from attks quicker, get Swiftness. If you need to dodge more frequently, use Vigor. If you need to reduce damage ur taking, use Protection, etc.
Damage/Control/Support are combat mechanics that all 8 classes use and have their own unique ways of using them in combat.
But picking 1 mechanic and ignoring the others will get you killed.
Here is example with Thief:
You can see how I constantly ((Support)) myself with Healing, Swiftness, Vigor, Might, Initiative Refill and Fury.
But you can also see how I constantly keep ((Control)) of the entire fight with: Movement, dodge, evade, Stealth, Blind.
And Im doing this while dealing tons of ((Damage)) [/b]
Here is another example with Mesmer:
You can see me ((Supporting)) myself with: Might, Swiftness, Protection, Fury, Retalation, Vigor
But im also mentaining ((Control)) with: Illusions, Cripple, Stealth, Knock Back, Stun, Chill
And Im constantly dealing ((Damage)) with Poison, Burns, Direct Hits and my phantoms dealing tons of damage too.
Choosing a Profession is based on what play style you enjoy executing Damage/Control/Support type skills.
