All classes are 100% good for sPvP, WvW, and PvE. Specially Dungeons.
Most people who play other classes tend to favor 1 class over the others because of what they enjoy, thus, words spread and people make that class popular.
In the end, it’s all based on what your playstyle is and what you’re personally good at and enjoy the most.

My friends and I do 1v1 differently.
What we do is we do the following steps:
Step#1 – Choose weapons/utilities for own playstyle
Step#2 – Choose (Traits) to enhance own playstyle
Step#3 – Choose Armor/stats to Balance own playstyle.
Then we do 1v1 and see who’s strategy, tactics, build and skills are better.
We do it Same Class vs Same Class
And Different Class vs Different Class.
It adds more depth to the pvp 1v1 since you’re constantly going to change up builds and playstyles with 1 class while figuring out your opponent’s weakness.
If your opponent figures out your weakness, that’s when you start changing things up to make him/her guessing.
=) That’s what we do anyways.

Nobody wants it back as much as I do…

No permenant content to experience another epic adventure.

yes but guys! This is a huge issue and ArenaNet probably wont fix it if we don’t demand for it.
After all, higher demands are priority in the list and this is one of them in my opinion and I know I’m not alone on this.
Like the rest who have posted here, I think the biggest thing missing is build diversity. I had all 3 campaigns and EotN which gave me about 200+ skills per profession and none locked to a weapon(except warrior that had separate skills for sword, axe and hammer). This made for some very interesting and cool builds. I used to run a R/P BM build in RA all the time. People would think I was just running a regular spear weilding Ranger until my wolf took their head off. We don’t have that diversity in GW2.

There aren’t weapons/utilities/traits/stats that fit many people’s play styles is the issue
The problem isn’t the weapons/utilities/traits/stats.
The problem is people come from games like WoW and think it should play like WoW.
Then you got another crowed from GW1 and expect the builds to work the same way as GW2… This is a different game after all.
Seriously! Why everytime I wear a Hat or a head piece, my character goes bald!?
This is annoying and the reason why I avoid wearng hats and head pieces…
Only thing that doesn’t do this are: Masks & full helmets.

Yes but if you don’t use a certain build you’ll either a) never find a group or b) be kicked once they see you in action cause it doesn’t fit what is expected. And since I play a Ranger as my main and refuse to use a sword/warhorn build (I prefer a Ranged Ranger) if I do find a group they kick once they see the bow.

You can use any build that works best for your playstyle.
You’ll only get kicked out if you suck and continue to die in the group.
Or if you got noob elitist who suck at the game anyways.

I think the problem isn’t the Combat, it’s the Boss mechanics which allows the zerg.
The Combat itself has lots of Depth with professions.
Here is the Basic level of the Combat and it’s depth:
All 8 classes are 100% in good state.
Certain nerfs were definantly needed for balance.

I think the best way to continue and improve the Personal Story after the defeat of the first elder dragon, is to:
Make different NPCS all over the world that provides different story instances during exploration. Just like the GW1 Mission system but you can do them in ANY order to encourage exploration around the world and indulge on the continuation of the storyline.
This should make the story More Personal too since it would effect your character, and should effect your home instance.
Once all the New Personal Story arc is completed, then Unlock the last Mission to defeat the next Elder Dragon!
By defeating the next Elder Dragon, they can unlock the 3rd Tier Personal Story with more NPCs around the world that offer more instances with the 3rd Elder Dragon to defeat, etc etc.

when you do, unpark the cpu cores using cpu-unpark utility software…
Intel i7 is useless for gaming.
and I use Intel i7…
Intel i5 – Proccessor = Good
8GB Ram = Good
GeForce GT740M = Bad!
Avoid any Laptops that does not have GTX.
You want anything by Nvidia with GTX Video cards.

You will not build a computer in this day and age with any budget that will not drop frames when hitting a zerg.
This part is true because the issue in WvW zerg is actually the Internet/server connection, not the hard ware itself in general. =P
It actually does matter what controls you use.
The Controls you are most comfortable with and can play well with is clearly the right choice! =)
Being comfortable with your controls is one of the conditions for efficient playing but is in itself not sufficient!
I am sure many keyboard turners are comfortable with it. but they are still slow, lack precision and overall move inefficiently.
So, yeah: Xbox controller, mouse movement, etc. whatever means that you can turn and move fast and well + NOT click your abilities with the mouse but activate them rapidly at the press of a button + be comfortable with

I do NOT know how to play GW2 with keyboard and Mouse, so I have nothing to say regarding that department, I was only stating that some people don’t use it to play GW2 and I’m one of those. lol

I seem to do fine in PvE/PvP/Dungeons and such.
I don’t like WvW so I don’t really do that zerg fest stuff much.
Either way, being comfortable is important for effeciant play.
If you are effective by how you play, then you’re fine.
Again: I don’t know nothing about keybinds and K&M!
Let people play how they wont, and they’ll learn the mechanics fine.

More questions. So i just hit 80. I have Berserker Gear from craft(yellow(rare) items in every slot except back). I have 400 Huntsman and 400 Leatherworking(i know it is nothing at this moment but i have done that).
1. What should i do? Map completion? Dungeons? Fractals(oh man i still don’t know what is it)
2. How should i gear up? What is the best way to do this?
3. What is the fastest way to farm laurels?(are they only from daily?)
4. Which one salvaging kits should i use?
You can do any Content you enjoy, just like you always have!
There are tons of places to explore, lots of content! Just go out there and have fun!

The Controls you are most comfortable with and can play well with is clearly the right choice! =)
Several things to remember when talking Builds with others.
- Many will discuss ALL builds with the view that THEIR favorite game mode is the only one worth considering (whether ignorant or just arrogant)….and fail to mention that they are looking thur PvP or WvW glasses (just examples). They will often discount other game modes as irrelevant to consider. I would suggest avoiding these players in general.
- Often players only consider something “viable” if it is what they consider the most “efficient” at a specific game mode or even specific task, when other builds will certainly do the job (basically, they don’t know what “viable” really means).
- If they do not mention options for utility/Elite skill or Trait changes that could be made in specific situations, be wary of anything else they say. It’s likely they are either too narrow minded (or maybe just not smart enough) to think for themselves and realize these options DO exist while playing and MAY be useful under a variety of conditions.
- If you like the way a certain build plays, by all means use it. However, if you run into instances where it falls short, don’t be afraid to ask for suggestions on how to get around the instance without completely changing your play-style. Also don’t discount the need to change it to move forward.
- Remember that everyone has an opinion (you can finish this one yourself).

This game works best with the controller in mind, specially ground targeting is very flued, at least with my Profile/layouts! lol

Well… I Built my own PC and even this is strange for me!
Your CPU and GPU are awesome, so I assume your Ram is decent too.
Not sure how your stuff is overheating… It could be that you might of accidently overclocked it without noticing?
also there are some Virus out there that will force your BIOS to damage your hardware mechanics but I’m not sure if it’s a Virus issue, could be though.

Everyone seems pretty divided on whether or not engineer is fun, I just started recently and was looking for opinions.
It;s a very fun and powerful class if played right!

I prefer content released more often, than..say, once a year. I like having the choice of new things to do. I think the Living World-type content improves, usually, with each release, and I look forward to what the next year will bring.
For me, once I’ve done the Personal Story a couple of times, I just skip all the scenes, and repeat the instance. It’s fun…for the first few times, but that’s all.
yeah but if they make it more personal and have more story branching it would be a lot more fun and replay value would be higher on other alts.
Either way, I like Personal stories better because it has the most quality in story telling.
I feel Dynamic events being added to the world should of been the main focus instead of Living story.

((The Personal Story))
One of my most favorite content in GW2 is the Personal Story!
It’s also one of the selling points of the game.
Sure there are problems with how the story is presented and issues with the writing team and such, however, the concept of the story being about your character making choices into becoming a hero of Tyria is a really neat idea that has tons of potentials for more epic adventures! These Story instances I can be developed over time to extend our personal journy even further in different ways!
However, Living Story Event , yet another interesting concept, has decided to take over our personal story in favor.
((Living Story Events))
The issue here is, the Living Story is NOT about our characters , but more about the world. We already have these stories through Dynamic Events which deserve to be added and extended through more chains and complexity.
Another issue is, these short stories in the world are soo Dynamic that people will miss out on content they would of enjoyed if given the chance to play. Not everyone can play all the time and when these contents are removed immidiantly, it ruins it.
((Suggestion:))
What I personally feel ArenaNet should do is extend and add a new Personal story Compaign with a new Elder Dragon Boss, but this time, Make it Personal!
This could ideally be a paid campaign expansion but continues from the original GW2 Personal story from where it left off.
If the Living Story Event is going to actually be the new thing, I would recommend keeping all of the content perminant and have their own instances where players can interact with NPC to start Cut scenes and mission instances!

Do you guys want ArenaNet to focus on Living Story Event or do you rather see them focus on extending your Personal Storyline with new campaign, friends, enemies, and Elder Dragon to fight on a new epic adventure?
