As its still got a warranty i would send it back personally i know its not the ideal situation but that’s what i would do.

i would still check the fan, don’t write any problem off until you have properly checked.

if you have a spare GPU i would replace it and see what happens, if this invalidates your warranty i wouldnt even try.

p.s. take a screenshot and post the diagnostics, we’ll be more than happy to read it for you.

and i didn’t point that out but yes that is hot for a GPU.

The Fan on the GPU might be failing, does the sound do any skipping or anything or is it an instant restart?

what i will say is the temp might say its fine, but seriously check the fan any ’’load’’ put on might make it stress, a good way to check in your computer while its running put your small finger in the GPU fan, if it stops its too weak and on the way out if it hurts a little (wont take your finger off) then its not the GPU fan.

http://www.ocbase.com/ is a good site to test the GPU and system, dont rely on windows diag.

and this is a laptop? i know its a silly question but are you sure its on a hard, level ventilated surface? as this defiantly sounds like a cooling problem, at the very least a hardware problem.

have you got any warranty/insurance on it?

sweet, i normally roam in small parties due to my system limitations with it being quite old now (in computer terms) now more than ever i want a more powerful system to have everything in high quality

i never played GW but was always curious, i played Myth of Soma and the like for ages (yeh yeh REAL old i know)

Actually including 1m Karma per accessory is not a bad idea, will give another way to grab those ascended if you want them and more incentive for events at the same time! and is also a Karma sink…

more armor skins would not go a miss though (and weapons)

Black lion Master Key: no need to buy more black lion keys, i know the chests arnt worth much but having to buy keys is just anoying though i do understand why, infact give the black lion chests a chance of dropping armour/weapon SKINS no stats or anything jut the skin that would increase the key sales thus the revenue as they need revenue to keep going after all.

yes, exactly what Jorno said, while i do want to hit 80 myself to try all builds and what not with all sigils / runes etc ( i dont particularly enjoy leveling) i am still taking the time to enjoy stuff, just yesterday a ‘’mysterious portal’’ held my interest for around an hour.

it has in all honesty been years since a game has held my interest for simple thing like exploring, the designers really went to town with the details and puzzles.

events, the fire elemental in metrica province yeilds a ton of xp and i know of a few people levelling basically off of that.

kill streak boosters help too if you gather a few friends together (gemstore)

why would you want grind in PvP? wouldn’t you just want to ya’know….PvP?

the grind is optional.

It’s all based around laurels to buy your ’’ascended’’ gear, legendary’s have been in since launch i believe but now you can find precursors a bit more out and about (not majorly, though) and that will take a good ol’ time to ’’grind’’ your way to a legendary if you choose too.

Elementalist (mage more or less) is probably the class you mean and it is a fantastic class to play, other than that the mesmer might hold a lot of fun for you they arguably have the biggest build variety.

- again grind is optional.

fractals scale to infinity for difficulty and after around lvl 10 i think is when you start to need to get agony resistance (Ascended gear)

p.s. i would suggest sticking with the elementalist its a great class to be playing in both pvp and pve.

i use it to fight people one on one, portaling from one side to another is fun, confuses the hell out of people then if you have blink you still ave a back up

they dont need an expansion to add new zones they have all ready done that much once, now as for ’’major’’ content i know there is somewhat of a gate on guild missions for some guilds but i really think people underestimate how much content is actually there.

the game has and is expanding continuously and i for one would much prefer them to concentrate and strengthen there CORE product first then issue out an expansion, an expansion will come most defiantly the question is when not if.

for instance i know WoW has an expansion every 1-2 years but between the last 2 expansions there was 6 months and 9months of nothing new and i mean absolutely nothing you will NEVER see Anet do this there planned ‘’monthly’ updates make sure of that whether big or small, dont sell Anet short they work very hard and to me are one of the most reliable online developers give them a chance the game has what just hit the 6month mark?

also within the half a year GW2 has been out and the relativley same amount of time as MoP we have seen a new zone, guild missions, living story started, new tier, fractals, AC revamp, store expanding, new currency systems, tons of bug fixes, to put this in perspective blizzard have done this twice in 6months? (or is it 4-5ish of mop? i dunno) i only compare these two as we alll know the behemoth of mmos is still alive and kicking, Anet at this point gives there games more attention.

for 6months this game has had and is continuing to get a lot of attention and Anet have also said they are still steadily seeing an increase in players so all roads point to the emerald city of Oz, at the moment if you ask me we look good.

I agree Naqaj but unfortunately there is always bugs and broken features in all MMO’s regardless of how popular they are its impossible or as close to impossible to get rid of them all, best to constructively point them out, let them deal with it (they do try i assure you) and then carry on and work around it

why bother even saying about laurels? why not just say ‘’until you want to start going above around fractal lvl 10 you can pretty much compete everywhere just fine once you hit 80, even in masterwork.’’

sorted. i find it so difficult that everyone thinks this and that is mandatory it really isn’t, everything is optional you can do fine in masterwork as long as your not a ‘’auto attack and make coffee’’ player.

don’t go on dodgy sites that may involve key loggers, that’s another great step.

I personally see no grind that is mandatory therefore grind is option so there is grind if you want it and no grind if you don’t want it. neither do i see the game as ’’’not alt friendly’’ and i certainly do not see dailies as mandatory, all i do is play the game whether that’s WvW or trying to get a skin or crafting and my dalies are done in seconds without paying ANY attention to them.

why do i keep playing? its very fun to me and i love exploring the world and fighting in WvWvW and the occasional sPvP, that needs the most work imho though.

they have added a living story which will evolve as time goes by at the moment though it is in its ’’prologue’’ stage so nothing much (nothing!) has happened just yet.

Fractals have an infinity scalling so the hihger lvl of fractal the bigger the challenge, this is aimed at those raiders or PvE content pushers.

Guild Missions: not many have been done yet but these apparently get bigger and better as you go through, more akin to raiding than fractals, also you can join in with other guilds doing them so you don’t directly have to be part of that exact guild though i think you need to be apart of said guild to get the reward.

so to me i have tons to do and work towards while having hella lotta fun, bottom line is though you either love it or you hate it, if you want raids then this really isnt the game for you just yet.

actually i would like to know this too, personally i gathered it would work the same as the personal story? but now you have me thinking.

DXstory runs smoother in my experience Fraps have still not looked into there lag issue while DXstory you can choose from hundreds of codecs and options to optimize the recording for your machine.

as for the file size they unfortuantly will always be huge

@Batdogi : not entirely true if your system is capable you can record onto the same HDD with next to no drops, i have one HDD in my computer (i think approaching 5 years old now) and i can record smoothly with no hiccups with DXstory, fraps is a different story, basically you have to get your setting right for your machine – which fraps does NOT let you do to the extent of others.

ofcourse recording to a separate drive is the ideal situation and if you can do it, depending on your procccessor, card, HDD, settings, resolutions, and recording program(s) you may see a performance boost or not depends a lot on individual systems.

note: DXstory also allows you to use it as a streaming tool via twitch which produces slightly higher qaulity less frames dropped once settings are correct.

Fraps: its a great program but highly over rated there are multiple programs now that can do it better than fraps, fraps however seems the ‘’go to’’ for whatever reason escapes me as so many people have problems with performance drops even on high-end machines.

well i don’t know about midday/14:00 ques as i’m always working but when i log in at 9pm till around 2am there is atleast 380+ servers being used and tbh i was suprised as i left the game around novemeber (or whenever the hell MoP came out) for a bit.

saying that granted i want to see rankings, smaller scale battles, some balance with burst ideally etc etc i would also like to see PvE armor + weapons usable as transmutations in the mists would give a lot more variety.

why did they remove it? also i was aiming for that sword for one of my mesmer builds looks, is it ONLY available to the whispers order?

soooo you have options to say the least and yes were good in WvWvW ESPECIALLY when played right do NOT allow yourself to be a portal master, will it help the team? then go for it, wil veil help? go for it, will they be pointless CD’s? dont use it.

do not be bullied into using stuff, learn the battlefield keep your eyes peeled and my favourte thing to do? in a guild group say ‘’lets flank them’’ or anyone who wont blurt it out in /map or /say and cast viel have a portal exit down, flank them burst them (most fun with around 5-10 rngineers as bomb/grenaders :P lay portal entry portal back and enemy is like ‘’WTF WAS THAT’’

oh, Asura, just love everything about them.

after specifically creating a charr engineer for an Alt (might turn into main if i love him as much as my mes which is looking likley!) is great to know and see good looking medium armors as lots of people where talking about really bad clipping, its bad enough on my mes’s GS + light armor but not enough to kick up a fuss but these looks great.

this needs to be brought to attention, a temporary fix would be fine, make the clone appear at your target so we can actually use this the way we want / would like.

the char legions and there general set-up remind me loosely of the roman set up i.e. you have a legion you delegate ’’portions’’ (warbands) to capable individuals then work as a complete unit with your respective jobs.

i just like there military ‘’were prepared’’ nature, i also like beast races and they fit the engineer perfectly.

i think the eyes could of done with being a little smaller but defiantly different

To be honest i thought it was much busier than when i took a break when MoP hit, im in a ’’lull’’ zone at the moment but i popped into my next heart zone and it was bustling to the brim was real fun, WvW is also very active on my realm but to be honest i have more fun taking a small select few with me to take bases from behind opponents, much more fun than the BIG zergs and i feel we get more loot and coin too.

i love the GS, i feel very use full with it and personally my build is built completely around getting Might and GS2 is awesome for this, i can run with a staff for defence and some condition damage from the image (he hits like a truck anyway) GS synergises well with the combo field too.

if i want full-out attack i will go GS / Sword+torch, open the same switch, leap, torch invis, blurred frenzy torch phantasm for reflection, GS, push back, finsh em off.

Mesmer’s rule for build variety, i can post my Might build if you want but it will have to be once i’m in from work tonight.

GS bad? no not by a long shot i personally find GS2 very useful too but i think that me being 1 in 2000000000

What is your current stance and aim about turning this into an esport? as i remember Arenanet did mention that they wanted to tap this market.

i’d like it to have a replay value after you complete it but in the sense of increasing difficulty, that could be fun.

he came across to me as a lost individual who really wants to be left alone to do his scholar thing, hell i’ve only done the part where you first meet the pale tree but i dunno i kinda liked the guy, granted he does seem ’’sleepy’’ acting like but i thought that was all part of his character casting.

personally i think there out of my grasp too but i would find no greater satisfaction than crafting one, thats my aim and eventually it will come to light not for a LONG time but it will be worth it, dont care how many people have one i want one made by my asur’s own tiny hands, 2x bolt 1x GS thats what im after…yikes will take me forever.

having no quest log is a good thing, the world in GW2 is a lot more alive and consistent that any other out there, the best thing to do is play the game hell i would personally explore and discover everything i can try to do all the puzzles do a dungeon or two, do some WvW / Spvp find a guild that wants and needs a few to help with the missions (NOT a massive guild, tight nit groups are much more fun imo).

Lengendary, i would start on my legendary. hell i already have and im only 45 atm haha. (currency etc)

I would personally put gold/yellow rims on instead of red in #1 to match the hilt of the sword and warhorn.

have you got access to the internet while your not in one of your sessions? you could remotely access your computer and tell it to download that mutha while you waste 0 time, then turn the computer off remotely. (networks and such).

as for the size this patch was 500mb in total not sure how big the others tend to be though.

alternatley buy a SSD HD (or any HDD) save your game to that and play it from that while connected via USB 2.0 (3.0 if you have it) you can then download on the fly if you want too to maximise your sessions and again you can always copy/paste the GW2 folder onto your main computer if you wanted too.

As said above, every month and if you ask me Anet have some BIG ambitions for this game in the road ahead.

It is a Beast of a game indeed, left for 3 months i came back this week and instantly thought ‘’why did i ever go back to WoW….’’ feel like i wasted my time on WoW, my char is only 51 on GW2 now ;P -i keep getting distracted by the art of the game, as a designer this game is appreciated on so many levels by me.

P.S. they shouldn’t keep you away for a day, once i’m in from work the downloads are normally done pretty fast, GW2 is the best MMO for patching by FAR

I agree with Refauh too, the mindsets of a lot of people are completely different though.
