Kind of a related question, but when the SAB comes back (I’m going to be optimistic and assume it IS coming back) and new rewards are added, will the old ones still be available as well, or will the current rewards be gone and only the new rewards be available when it returns?
I’d definately like the achievement to pop just based on getting all the baubles, and not only come up when the boss dies. Seems like kind of a wierd design choice to do it this way, and like you said, it makes it so that rather than just hunting and eventually getting it, you have to grab all you can find, beat the boss, and pray. If you lose, then start all over.
It makes it that much more tedious.
It’s probably the speed buff we have to apply to you after combat or taking damage. That’s how we work around the ‘combat mode’ that is part of the GW2 system. Notice that you don’t slow down in SAB when you attack monsters? That’s because we’re giving you a speed buff of just the right amount to compensate for the combat slow down. But the system isn’t perfect because we can’t call a script to the exact moment the slow down occurs, so there can be split-second overlaps where you still have our SAB speed boost but you’re also exiting the combat slow down, resulting in a momentary surge. You would be shocked at the amount of crazy work-arounds we had to pull off to get SAB as platform-like as we did.
So that’s how it works, huh? Makes sense. I definately notice this issue most when I run past enemies, though its odd that I’m getting into combat with them at all if they don’t hit me nor do I attack them. Thats not usually how it works in the open world, if you don’t get hit or attack yourself you usually won’t enter combat. Guess SAB just operates differently.
Seems kind of odd that the combat slowdown is such a core aspect of the game it can’t even be disabled. Kudos to you and your team for working around it, though. Minus this issue (which isn’t that big a deal) you got it pretty much perfect.
I got no problem with Trahearne, even on my non-sylvari characters.
People complain that he “steals your thunder” of your personal story and it becomes “Trahearne’s Story” or whatever and I don’t nessicarily disagree, but really, I’m fine with that. I’d rather have there be one NPC taking the lead than have your own characters lead it so that there are a million different “leaders” considering every individual player. And it makes more sense that the guy who’s studied Orr for what, 20 years, would lead the force against Zhaitan who’s situated there, as opposed to your character whose probably never even seen the place.
I’m really not a fan of player characters becomming the absolute leader of everything in general. In fact, I’d like it even more if you didn’t even become commander of the entire pact, but at most became the pact representative of your chosen Order (that would also have the advantage of keeping your Order choice signifigant through the entire personal story, rather than now where once the Pact forms it barely matters what order you’re in).
People also seem to complain a lot about him acting superior, but I have no problem with that either. He does sort of come across that way at times, but again, he’s studied the place for 2 decades so of course he’s going to have a superior knowledge of it. I suppose he could be less up-front about it, but I’d rather have him act superior but know what he’s talking about than have him be humble and seem like he has no idea.
The skins purchased from Moto for baubble bubbles are account-bound and Masterwork quality.
However, Rare versions of the skins also drop from the end-of-stage Splendid chests (if you play on Normal mode, chests don’t appear on infantile) with a 1-in-50 chance to drop. Those ones are not account bound, and can thus be sold on the TP.
The only skin that can’t drop from the end chests is the Backpack. That one is exclusively purchased from Moto and is thus unsellable on the TP.
That being said, I love Charr Guardian staff. Other races have an ugly overhead ‘thwomp’ with the autoattack that I just cannot stand. Looks like someone’s grandmother chasing off would be purse bandits with a broom…
Oh god, now I’m going to have a mental image of my Sylvari guardian smacking ’dem darn teenagers and telling them to get off her lawn. Thanks a lot.
That “thwomp” animation is still better than most of the other staff animations in the game that don’t even use the staff, though. Hate how all my other casters just hold the staff to the side and cast their magic with their hand. Its a weapon, use it as one!
I would love to see more titles in the game in general, especially now that you can see them everywhere.
This is a definate must from me, though. I love jumping puzzles, and fully intend on doing all of them eventually. It’d be nice to get a title for that. If dungeons can get one, why not JP’s?
Also make sure you got the candle from world 1 zone 2, not zone 3. There’s a bug where the candle in zone 3 doesn’t progress this achievement.
That was fixed in Thursday’s update.
Its possible this is their intention anyway. The event hasn’t ended yet, the conclusion will be in this month’s major update. Any big rewards will probably be given away at the end, and a free skin would likely count as a big reward.
If its not something they’re already intended, I would definately like to see them consider it.
The heart doesn’t count. As above, you need the Slingshot from the last shop in Zone 3, right before the checkpoint to the frog king look to the right.
Allowing it to be aimed up / down would probably make it broken. Many enemies are completely ineffective if they aren’t on the same level as you are (the coconut monkeys are the only exception ATM) so all you’d need to do is stand on a rock and you’d be unkillable and free to kill every other enemy without any risk whatsoever. Even moreso than a long-range weapon already allows. It would also allow you to destroy the end-of-zone cages without actually stepping on the platform, again making those 100% harmless.
As for how the slingshot is useful if you can’t aim up and down… its a very quick-firing long range option. Simpler to aim, flies further, and is signifigantly faster than bombs as a ranged attack (though half as damaging). Its actually faster than attacking with the stick as well, so if you’re willing to waste the baubbles you can rack up damage more quickly by using the slingshot on auto-attack.
There’s also potential in it as the above poster mentioned. The item was only given at the end of Zone 3, so its very possible it’ll be more useful in later stages, when ranged attacks will probably be more useful (as enemies get more dangerous) and puzzles can be made to accomidate it.
The fact of the matter is that nobody wants it to be permanent so that they can go back and enjoy the four levels currently available over and over again. They want more time to get skins. If you’re asking that more content be added as well (as some people are) then that’s awesome and i agree, i would love to see more content. But ultimately rewards from events such as these are rewards not only for finding the time to earn them (again, not that hard) but for earning them during the period in which the event was active. Making a special event permanent devalues the rewards on more than just a monetary basis. If everyone has what you have then what you have is no longer special.
I want it available so I can play it any time I feel like. I certainly wouldn’t complain about having more time to get skins at a leisurely pace either, but I do want it to stay just to play it as well. Its a very enjoyable experience (for me anyway) and quite different from the normal GW2 gameplay, so it’d be nice to have it there waiting any time I want a change of pace, not just for this month.
I really don’t understand the “I only want it because its special” mentality. When I decide what skins I want to use, I decide that based on how much I like the look of the skin. If a skin looks cool, seeing another player using it doesn’t make it look worse. Nor does being rare make a crappy looking skin look better.
There are obviously people who only want gear as a “status symbol” regardless of whether I understand it or not, though. But even so, why does every new item that gets introduced needs to be that way? Why can’t some of the new items just be permanent and readily-accessible? There’s already the Halloween, Island, and Wintersday toy skins that are all unobtainable except through the TP (and for the Halloween skins in particular the price is extremely high) and going even further the Wintersday gem store and likely the new Fused weapons (once Frost and Flame is over) that are 100% unobtainable through any means. The only new items that have been added and are going to be readily accessible are the new Guild weapons. Can’t there be a few more permanent additions and not just more and more limited-time event gear?
The only problem I’ve seen with the “Defeat Molten Alliance forces” periscope event is the vet + 3 mobs combination. If the vet didn’t spawn, the event would be fine. Then it’d be 3 normal dredge / flame legion mobs per wave, which is fairly standard event fare. Not sure why they felt the need to throw a vet in there right off the bat and along with 3 other mobs. It should be either 3 mobs and no vet, or just a vet alone.
As for the placement of the periscopes… eh, I’m kind of torn. They’re definately placed near oft-travelled areas, but thats both good and bad. On one hand, it does mean they interfere with other events or aspects of completion on the map, which is bad. But it also means they’re easier to find and frequently encountered, which is good. Putting them off in less explored side areas would alleviete the issues with interference, but it would also greatly diminish how many people encounter them naturally (which makes the living story seem less active) and would make destroying them for the loot more of a chore. From the perspective of the story of the event it also wouldn’t make much sense to have them off in side areas, because the whole idea is that the Molten Alliance is spying on the people travelling through the area and living there. Hard to spy on people if the tower is 2 miles away from any road or civilization.
So essentially you want the ability to buy more profession starting gear, but only the one you chose at the beginning of character creation. And perhaps in the form of a skin, so you can apply it to whatever level of gear you currently need?
Sounds good to me. Having to transmute the thing dozens of times as you level is annoying, to say nothing of the people who sell / destroy theirs and can never get it back.
Not sure how hard it is to add dailys to different aspects of the game or whether it’d be worth it to do so for the limited time Super Adventure Box is going to be around, but it’d be nice if SAB contributed to daily achievements, at least where applicable. Kill count, kill variety, jumping puzzle completion (1 stage = 1 jumping puzzle completed), veteran slayer (the queen beedog minibosses) would all work really well. Maguuma slayer could maybe work as well since the box itself is in Maguuma, though it depends on whether the “world” inside the box is considered seperate I guess.
I know dailys are still active in the Adventure Box, because Daily Dodger works (though its the only one to my knowledge) so it’d be nice if others did as well.
I’m not really someone who wants centaurs (my top wanted races are Tengu and Largos) but I imagine some of the difficulties you mention in your OP is part of the reason some want them. People like what’s different. A quadrupedal race would be very different and unique. Not everyone would be interested in that, but some would. People like the Charr 4-legged running animation, and having a Centaur would be like that all the time.
Centaurs are also a decently popular mythological creature, so I guess some of it might come from that as well. Especially since they’re one of the only mythological creatures present in the Guild Wars universe and not extinct or something. Dwarfs are gone, elves don’t exist nor do gnomes, faeries, ect.
They also don’t have any particular story aspects barring them from being playable, other than the aforementioned challenges with armor and animations. They aren’t outright evil so it wouldn’t be THAT strange for them to be teaming up against the dragons, they aren’t one of the “lesser races”, they use all varieties of weapons, ect.
Hmm. An interesting read to be sure, and an interesting insight into why some of these attacks seem to be lacking. No way to know for sure if its accurate without a dev weighing in, but the evidence does seem to support it.
You could purchase one of the Halloween shoulder skins, which come with a variety of skull types, from bovine to bird, for all armours. They are pretty cheap too. You can get them direct from the auction house.
This. The Deathly, Deathly Avian, and Deathly Bull shoulders (or in the case of light armor, Mantles) are all in a similar style to the Sheepskin Mantle, except they actually look like real skulls. Definately give them a look if thats the sort of thing you want. Just run a TP search for “Deathly” and they’ll all come up, just make sure to grab the Mantle version for light armor. They all look identical, but they apply their skin to different armor classes. Not sure how cheap they are any more, though, last time I looked (which, mind you , was a few weeks back so prices may have changed) some of them were still under 1g while others were upwards of 5g or more.
If you’re going for a machine look, cultural weapons are an obvious fit, particularly the T1 / T3. Dredge weapons would be another possibility, though the greatsword I think clips with the tail as well. Whispers / Vigil stuff might suit you as well, if you’re in either of those orders. Pact stuff might do as well, though thats probably getting closer to Asura tech and less Charr.
If you’re going for a more savage look, then possibly look at the Godskull, Krait, or Ogre weapons.
You could also just browse the gallery here, find something you like. This is the greatsword page, but it also has pages for axes and longbows (use the GW2 dropdown menu).
Seems like personal preference. I’m pretty fond of the Charr melee animations personally, and I think beastly brute-force animations fit better than graceful spins. Charr may be feline, but that doesn’t mean they share every feline characteristic, and grace doesn’t nessicarily seem to be one of the characteristics they do have. Their body shape seems more built for brute force than grace.
Also, the 3rd attack on GS chain isn’t a flashy spin for all races. My female Sylvari Guardian has an awkward-looking upward swing. Her Leap of Faith is a sort of jump + spin (which I assume is the same one you’re talking about) but I think it looks pretty goofy spinning through the air while jumping like that, and much prefer my Charr Ranger’s “all fours run and overhead slam” that he gets using Swoop, one of my favorite attack animations in the game. Not sure if a Charr Guardian’s Leap of Faith uses that same animation or a different one.
Profession might factor in as well, because my Charr Ranger does have some spins. His 3rd attack for Greatsword autochain is a slow spin, and 2nd attack for 1H sword auto-attack is a spinning kick.
Yah, this is kind of annoying. Some armors have it worse than others , so you can do some experiementing to see which has less of a problem. For example, on my male Sylvari I’m using Feathered armor at the moment, and the weapons float so far they acutally clip into his arm which is super silly, but there’s only a small amount on my female Sylvari who’s wearing Banded armor. But it seems like most armor has at least some of this.
Hopefully it’ll be fixed. Sylvari seem to have some issues in general with hip size that gets brought up often (or rather the way armors behave at the hips) and since thats right around where the weapons sit, fixing that issue might help this as well.
I could definately get behind more SAB mini-pets. My personal favorite choice would be the snake.
Maybe when they start adding more levels, more mini-pets will come as well?
I don’t see why having the skins easily-accessible makes them “worthless”. Do people really need an exclusive skin that badly? Does having the skin accessible to all make it look worse? Guess that means 90% of the skins in the game are worthless.
As for being a “terrible addition” because its boring after a few times… if you’re doing it over and over again in short periods of time, then yes. There’s a good chance its going to get boring for many. But if it were a permanent addition, you wouldn’t need to do that. Get bored after a few times? Well, stop playing it. Maybe in a month or two you’ll get the urge to play it again, and it’ll be there waiting. Its a change of pace, not something to be done constantly. If its permanent you don’t have to worry about grinding non-stop for skins, because you can work towards it at any pace, playing it every once in a while and eventually get there. The fact that its a month-only thing is whats causing the need to grind so hard, because it’ll be gone so you have to do it now or never.
Yah, I’m not fond of the fact that skins require gold as well as baubles either, not at all. You can’t sell the skins you buy with baubles on the TP (only the random drops are sellable, the bought ones are account-bound), so your only possible source of gaining money from the Box is a low-chance drop. I haven’t gotten one, and the number I’ve seen thrown around is 5% chance of skin drop.
So in all likelyhood, by doing the SAB to acquire baubles, you’re losing “potential money” you could be making by doing something else. If I run SAB for an hour, thats an hour I could have spent running a couple dungeons and making a few gold, and I’ve instead made nothing. Not to mention that you also get no experience, no daily progress (except dodger, though I’d like to see SAB give progress to other dailys as well), no karma, ect. And then on top of that you also need to spend money to get the skins.
Now, I’m perfectly willing to lose the money I could be making by playing SAB instead, don’t get me wrong. The SAB itself is great fun (best event / activity thats been added to the game IMO) and the skins are very nice. But the fact that I need to spend money on top of that just rubs me the wrong way. Feels like a bit of a kick while I’m down. I’m already dying for money as it is (having 5 characters who only recently reached level 80 and needing to equip all of them will do that). Now I’m spending a good deal of time I could be using to get money running SAB for fun and baubles instead, and yet despite all that I’m also going to have to spend the few gold I have in the bank to grab the skins I want.
I also don’t like what it does to lower level players especially. 1g may be a drop in the hat for a level 80 character, but if someone happened to be new and only had a level 15 character, thats quite a different story. SAB is great in the fact that it allows ANYONE to do it, and be 100% equal with anyone else regardless of level. But then the sought-after rewards from it require a money investment which is quite a bit for a low level player. The fact that they’re losing potential experience also hurts them more, so even moreso it really hurts lower level players.
I don’t see the problem with people farming it in such a way. I mean, on a personal level I think its silly to create a character just to farm and delete, but whatever. Their time, if they want to spend it endlessly delete-farming then so be it.
Aside from the small chance of skin drops from the chests, nothing acquired by farming benefits the people doing it aside from being able to get a few neat looking skins for personal use. Its not like its breaking the economy in two or getting these people crazy rich in no time at all, in fact the benefits are very poor for anything more than getting the skins themselves for your own use. I suppose one could argue that the skins are getting too “common” because people are farming baubles so everyone has them (in fact I’ve seen that complaint in-game), but I’ve never put much stock in that sort of complaint. So what if everyone has a skin? The skin is suddenly worse just because its widely available? Don’t buy it.
What is the whip good for then ? If it didn’t open the chests I would never use it ….i expected it to stun foes at some distance when I first bought it.
Stuns foes that take 2 hits to kill so you can kill them without risk or kill them more quickly. Monkeys are easier to deal with stunned and if you go fast enough you can stun spiders before they spin to kill ‘em quicker. I’ve heard it stuns the queen bee minibosses as well, though I’ve tried it a couple times and never could get it to work for that (maybe I was just out of range though).
The range on it is really short, I agree. The range is listed as 400, but it seems to barely have more range than your sword strikes (which are 130). They need to double check the range because I’m pretty sure its bugged, or listed wrong.
References and inpsiration are not copyright infringements. If they were, there would be so many games that would be hit with infringement suits.
I got 3 baubles and about 20 bunnies from my 100 uses of digging in order to get the achievement. Also one bunny tornado which pwned me >.>.
But my luck is always bad, so… yah.
More Lightning fields would be nice (though there are technically 2 if you count Lightning Hammer’s field ability, its still far too few) but I don’t know about Swirling Winds. Its already a pretty good attack as-is, and it doesn’t really make sense that a wind storm would create a lightning field. Air attune encompasses both lightning and wind, sure, but that doesn’t mean wind and lightning are one and the same. Perhaps they could make Glyph of Storms in Air attune create a lightning field or something. Or make Ride the Lightning leave behind a trail of electricity that would create a linear combo field ala Flame Wall or Burning Retreat.
The only way I can see it working with Swirling Winds is maybe they could have a “detonate” type ability where you could sacrifice your wind storm to instead create a lightning field (accompanied by the graphical effect turning to lightning and maybe some minor DoT). Would no longer block projectiles but would create a field instead. Actually, now that I think about it that would be a nice functionality change in general for enemies who don’t use projectiles, in which case Swirling Winds is currently 100% useless.
Or just start giving Lightning fields to other professions. Engineer seems like an easy choice, machinery that discharges an electric field would make perfect sense. Or perhaps a new type of Ranger pet (an Electric Fish is the super-obvious one, though that would only work underwater).

I’m planning on using the whole T3 heavy set on my Guardian. Personally I don’t mind that its not super bulky, and I think the wood aspect makes it seem more sturdy than the T1 / T2 which, though larger, are also made of leaves and petals which are disticintly not sturdy at all.
Except the shoulerpad. Screw single shoulderpads, so dumb. Gonna have to use another heavy cultural (or maybe TA) for that just to get away from the idiotic single shoulderpad nonsense.
Seems like a bug. I can’t see it being intentional that a cheap item lets you bypass any key hunting / buying.
I was totally thinking yesterday that I would probably end up doing this at some point. It hasn’t happened yet, but… I know its coming.
I try to combo constantly. Both with myself and with other players. Its one of my favorite aspects of the combat, to the point where I tend to somewhat dislike most weapons that have no combo finishers / fields.
I do wish that combo fields lasted a bit longer on average. Sometimes its pretty hard to see the combo field, get into position, and use the correct move before the field vanishes. Speaking strictly of other peoples’ fields, of course, since you can easily plan around your own fields given that you obviously know when they’re coming and where they’re going.
Not sure what this has to do with Living Story, but I agree. It would be nice to have some sort of icon on the map to show where area transitions are (and preferably even what area they lead to). Once you reveal that portion of the map you can kind of eyeball it based on roads (if a road goes off the map its usually to a new area) but having an actual icon would just make it much more user-friendly.
If you can’t take hits from multiple mobs, don’t throw out AoE attacks and draw aggro to yourself, nor rush in first. Focus on single targets and follow behind Rox / Braham, hopefully letting Rox / Braham draw aggro.
I see that you’re a Ranger. I’d recommend using a Drake pet for these instances, as Drakes have area abilities which can hit multiple enemies, letting the Drake draw aggro away from you as well, and decent survivability.
Also, when you get to the part of the Hatchery where you have to destroy sonic emitters, destroy one at a time only. Mobs will spawn every time you destroy one, and if you destroy more than one at a time (before killing the mobs) you can very easily get overwhelmed. I made the mistake of blowing up 3 at once and ended up swarmed by around 10 enemies >.>
You should have recieved an in-game email telling you where to go.
But the starting points for both of the actual story bits of Flame and Frost are in Black Citadel. One is in Rytlock’s office, the other is in the Imperator Core. Both are on the top floor of the central building in Black Citadel, and marked by glowing yellow instance icons.
You can always get another one anyway by talking to the NPC and saying you lost it (at least any time you’d actually need one), so definately safe to destroy unless you just like saving random items as “trophies”.
Other players can’t steal your loot. The loot is character-based, everyone gets their own.
However, the wreckage does disappear after a certain amount of time, so if you took too long dealing with enemies it could vanish. Or, as mentioned, it just didn’t drop because you can only get the loot from each specific periscope once per day.
I have this on one of my characters as well. Have access to 2-1 and yet can’t pick 1-3 from the list.
It works fine on all my other characters, though. Wierd.
copypasta from the other topic just because I feel strongly about it.
This absolutely NEEDS to stay. For so many reasons.
~ Its awesome. Its a fun throwback to classic gaming, the mechanics work well, and its got plenty of content to it.
~ There’s obviously been a ton of work put into it, and I’d hate to see all the fruits of that effort disappear after an obligatory amount of time has passed. I mean, the artstyle and such are simple and probably not that time consuming compared to, say, all the different Wintersday environments and objects, but as far as level design and actual content this has to be the “biggest” update thats been added to the game, in my eyes at least. Throwing all that away just feels wrong.
~ GW2 could use more fun side-activities with unique mechanics. Variety is good, and having something unique to do when you get a little tired of the standard open world and dungeons is nice. And thats exactly what this is. I know I’ve seen people requesting more “activities” and I know the devs themselves have acknowledged that they’d like to add more as well, so why remove something thats exactly what players have requested and the devs have acknowledged wanting to add?
~ There’s no reason to remove it. Its not an open-world story event or seasonal thing. There’s no “great threat” thats going to be beaten and nessesitate removal of the content (ala Flame and Frost or the Karka event). There’s no Halloween or Christmas theme that would seem out of place during other times of the year. Nothing about SAB makes it seem like something that can only exist for a certain time.
~ Letting it stay indefinately means that people can work on getting skins, progress, and achievements leisurely, rather than having it be a non-stop grind in April to get everything before its gone. Which makes it more enjoyable and less of a grind / chore. I think a lot of the people saying they’d “get tired of it” are saying that after having played it non-stop for days, which if it was permanent wouldn’t be needed, you could just come back to it whenever you feel like it rather than feeling pressured to do it when you don’t want to.
Definately caused by leaving the instance at the end rather than waiting for you to be teleported to the next stage. Got this too by doing the same thing (it also made it so that I didn’t have access to the next level from stage select).
I wasn’t able to fix it by logging, but I didn’t try shutting down the game completely. Definately try that first.
My solution was to go complete another level in SAB and thankfully it fixed itself after that (once I let it transition me to the next stage as normal). It was rather terrible playing through the level with the crazy-zoom camera, though.
Who says keeping it requires constant development of new levels?
I don’t need that. It could stay as-is and I’d be perfectly happy with it. Though the stuff they’ve already talked about for the future like a few more levels and more skins would be nice, anything beyond that would be unessicary.
1UP

I’ve probably got around 8 gold across all 5 of my level 80 characters, at the moment.
That number will not be going up any time soon (and will in fact probably be going down) since I just hit level 80 with all of them, so I’ve got a LOT of gear to buy over the forseeable future. Full Exotic gear sets for every character just for starters (though I just bought Masterwork gear until I can afford that). I’ve also got my eye on a number of expensive “luxury” items such as 2 sets of T3 cultural gear, a number of Order weapons, and eventually hoping to make both Arachnophobia and The Crossing.
At this point the only thing that will get me out of the “hole” any time soon would be a lucky precursor drop that I could sell. Definately not counting on that, though.
Sylvari have a lot of skin color options. There are definately some yellows / browns in there, so I’m sure you could find something that would qualify as golden, though it may depend on just exactly what tone you’re thinking when you say “golden”.
Yep, thats exactly what I needed, thanks. Now I can experiment without fear I’ll lose the kit.
Is this still working? I went to a fuse vendor and there was only one tab. And I don’t see any frozen skins on the gem store
Its not an actual thing. It was just an idea the TC had, not something that actually exists.
Honestly, they can’t really do anything about the Fused skins at this point. Changing it now by putting them in the Gem Store as direct purchases (or even a roundabout “trade a direct purchase for a Fused skin” thing like this) would just royally kitten off the people who already paid money on the gambling aspect to try and get one. Whats done is done, the only thing we can hope now is that the next set of skins is sold directly.
So I grabbed one of these when they were on sale yesterday because I’m tentatively considering changing up the color scheme on my Charr Engineer. The white / grey color scheme I picked at first just isn’t doing it for me any more. But I’m not 100% sure that I’ll be able to find a better coloring, it may end up that I start looking and can’t find anything else I like more or that any other color scheme I pick would clash with my armor colors (which I’m pretty happy with as-is). I can’t use character creation to even try anything out because I don’t have any spare character slots, and my “new” character wouldn’t have the armor I have in-game anyway.
And thus my question is this… can you “use” the Total Makeover Kit to go into the customization screen, decide halfway through that you don’t want to go through with it, cancel the changes, and keep the kit? Or is it a situation where once you click the thing its gone regardless?
I assume you can cancel it, that seems to make the most sense, but since its something I paid real money for I want to be absolutely sure. Because if I can’t cancel it, I’ll just hold onto it until I grab another character slot or bank it until they start releasing more customization options and I really know I want something changed for sure.
I’ve contemplated making a second Ranger character since the one I have now is a beastmaster build and there are some other builds I’d like to try (like a trap build). Granted, I could just respec my existing character, but I’m 100% sure I want to keep my beastmaster so at most it’d be a limited thing where I just try a different build then switch back, so if I liked the trap build as well I’d have to either make a second Ranger or just forget about it.
I think its really a decision for you to make, though. No one else can tell you how you’d feel about the situation, how much you like the Guardian profession and if you like it enough that you’d be able to play 2 of them, ect.
