Yep, I tried 2-3 times using invisibility and it didn’t work. Once I went around instead I got the achievement (in infantile).

I’m having tons of fun in SAB again. It’s very addicting!

Some of the achievements are bugged. For example, if you use invisibility to get around the hillbillies, you don’t get the achievement. However, I was able to get this one in infantile mode another way. I’ve also heard that the kill all assassins is bugged. I think this is why people are saying you can’t get them on infantile.

For the first release, all the achievements except the ones for completing it on normal were doable on infantile. I have gotten a few in world 2 on infantile already, and I suspect it is similar to world 1, where you can get them all except the ones for completing it on normal.

I’ve gotten Tiptoe and the world 2 shortcut achievement on infantile so far.

I had a lot of fun exploring the world solo from the very first time. If you like to solo, go for it! I completed all the world 1 achievements last time solo.

I got baubles from the waterfall, but that was in normal mode (not easy mode).

As far as I know, there aren’t any achievements for getting baubles from digging. The achievements for getting all baubles in a zone only count the ones already sitting in the world (not digging ones and not enemy drops, but chests DO count).

Dig spots also don’t work in infantile mode any more.

There is an item in the barrel right outside the shop that makes you invisible. Then you can run right through them

Are you in easy mode? Apparently they were removed from easy mode for this update. I got all the ones I remembered in world 1, zone 1 and 2 yesterday in normal mode just fine.

Can you only get this achievement in normal mode? I did it twice in easy mode without aggroing the hillbillies, but didn’t get the achievement.

I’ve only done world 2 in easy mode so far, but I’m looking forward to trying normal. I’m having a blast in the game.

I have the same problem after doing it twice already.

I finished infantile mode for world 2 and ended up with only 31/33 for the achievement. I ran it again, being very careful to follow every arrow and rainbow and still only had 31. Does anyone know what I might be missing?

I got all the achievements and title the first time around, but I’m glad others who didn’t will still have a chance to.

If you hit an overflow that doesn’t have the event active, try guesting to a lower population server. You might still be able to get into the actual zone, and the server can probably use the help.

I believe a dev said that the champions come directly from the portals, which is why tagging those will get you credit for doing the map. Killing generated mobs don’t count.

From a dev comment in another thread, a good way to make sure you get credit for a map is to kill a champion twisted and make sure you get loot credit. This method worked for me.

They said that the champion clockwork ones would help assure that you get credit for completion so those are the ones I have been looking for. Basically because they are not the debris created ones but always spawn from the portal. I’ve been completing multiple portal closings so I don’t know what else to do.

I haven’t missed getting credit for any since I started making sure to kill at least one champion clockwork every time.

What about magic find buffs from food and other sources?

This hint wasn’t completing for me until I deleted all ANET mails in my inbox. I already had two player mails in the cue (over 10), and once I deleted the ANET mails, the hint completed.

This doesn’t happen in the cities, but in the open world, NPCs will run up to you and ask you for help when there is an event going on nearby. It would be cool to have new quests or events that NPCs direct you to.

Ninja stars. :P Crossbow would be cool too.

I keep all minis I want on my character in my invisible bag.

Yeah, they need to do this with all the achievement based rewards we got (and will get, with future LS patches). All the backpacks, minis, whatever else permanent (non one time use items) items that we get should be in the new achievement rewards section so we can get them back if needed, or get multiples (if we really like the item).

I love this idea. It would be great to have stuff like infinite tonics in there as well. It would be nice not have to pick which one character I want to have each of these things.

The compact button is a land mine for me. I will occasionally hit it by accident when depositing collectibles (which I use all the time), resulting in having to completely reorganize my bags. I wish there was an option to have it removed from the menu.

Stony Shield was the last one I needed. Then I found him 4 or 5 times in a row. It’s all random.

I had a couple destroyer lodestones and cores drop from mobs/bags in the area last night. Spent about 2 hours farming there. Nothing to rave about, but seeing how I’ve played 1000 hours and can count how many lodestones have dropped for me on one hand, this is a huge improvement for me

I had a similar experience. About two hours of playing in the arena netted me about half the number of total cores/lodestones I’ve ever gotten since the start of the game.

Daggers and staves have the least exciting skins for me. As an elementalist, this makes it very hard to get good looking weapons, especially since I’m an asura and they are all so small! I need something flashy for them to be even visible. So far the Zenith staff is the best, but I would really prefer a staff with some fire effects (as the theme of my character is fire). I really wanted a fused dagger, but I refuse to buy lottery tickets from the gem store.

Just want to throw in my thanks for this feature as well! It will certainly make a lot of things more convenient for me.

I hadn’t thought about the lifetime of the SSD, but that is something I will keep in mind.

Any suggestions for motherboard, case, or power supply?

I’m new to building PCs. My previous one died, and it was running GW2 at a pretty low framerate with the lowest settings. I WvW occasionally, but I mostly PvE. I’m looking for something that generally runs the game decently at high or max settings.

Here are the parts I have in mind:
CPU: i5-3570K
GPU: GTX 660
RAM: 8GB DDR3
Hard drive: SSD for OS and GW2
OS: Win 7 64-bit

I already have dual monitors at 1680×1050.

Questions:
1. Will this meet my needs?
2. Any suggestions for motherboard, case, and power supply?
3. Do I need extra cooling?

That’s what I’m wondering. Does that mean that all karma is essentially shared account wide? If so, that is awesome! I’ve been saving up all my jugs and sips and thumbles, etc of karma until I know exactly which character I want to use them on. It takes up a lot of space!

I would love to be able to still get Fused weapons, even if I have to save up for a while.

I’m pretty sure the content will be around until at least the 23rd. It’s possible that it will stick around another two weeks during the next portion of the event, as seems to be the pattern so far. However, to be on the safe side, I’d get all the achievements you want to get by the 23rd.

Sanctum Sprint would only be similar to the Olympics if the Olympics were constantly running the same races over and over again, anyone could enter, and if anyone who got first place ONCE got a gold medal. So they’re really nothing alike.

I tried playing the bazaar hylek at the beginning and he wouldn’t play me. I went back after beating all the other masters, and was able to play him and win for the achievement.

I got the achievement when someone let me win. I did not ask, and was quite surprised by it. Since this is a limited time event, trying to get the achievements can be stressful, so I was very happy. A few races later I arrived at the finish line first on my own, but waited to let someone else finish first.

If you want to wait and let others finish first, chances are you will make some people very happy, especially those who have a lot of lag or are just not as good at these types of activities. I would never expect it of anyone though, and anyone who expects to be handed anything is going to end up with a lot of disappointment.

Huh, I had no idea you could use regen when playing him. I tried the game for the first time yesterday, and beat all the NPCs (including Adnul). Took me less than 10 games to beat him (the easiest three I beat on the first game). He was hard, sure, but you just have to figure out how he works. It was a little frustrating, but satisfying once I finally beat him.

I completed it yesterday. I fell a bunch of times without hitting the bug. Then once I fell all the way through the world, landed in the inquest lab in the NE, and amazingly enough took 0 falling damage and did not lose my attunement for the puzzle.

Broken for me too. Can’t increment count for Crab-Carrying Competitor or Crabgrabber. It would be nice if they kept the event in for a while after Southsun is finished to allow us to finish the achievements.

Canach was pretty easy once you get the hang of the mines. I did it on a level 80 elementalist using nothing but heals. Canach does very little damage… the mines are more dangerous. It only took a few more tries to get the lightfoot achievement. I didn’t even use walls, just dodged carefully.

Will the Crab Toss activity be sticking around once the Southsun event is finished? I would love to see an official response on this.

Seems better that it is in an account bound book. That way you can move it between your characters if you want, right?

Ideally it would just teach all your characters on the account new emotes though.

I’m female, and I don’t think the rainbows and unicorns fit in well with the GW2 universe. The effects seem very out of place. I like Kudzu, and it fits great with my Sylvari Ranger, but I use shortbow.
