Your friend’s problem with the delay is that he keeps making extra tickets. He really needed to reuse the first one since it was the same issue AND it wasn’t solved. When you open multiple tickets, it delays their responses, and really delays their initial response.

You can’t trust people on the forums to confirm this. People lie all the time. People claim they never cheat, or say things when they do. Gail on many occasions has come in and said “well, contrariety to what you just said, you actually did say all of these xyz things in map chat, which is against tos and resulted in the suspension.”

I am surprised support told you to post on the forums, but I don’t think this is the forum they meant, maybe they wanted you to post it in the bug forums, as they thought you were saying it’s a current bug?

this makes it unplayable in the VERY limited free time we have.

It doesn’t make the game unplayable in the slightest.

It started to give me a headache after a while, but I have issues with too much motion. I think the user is just cranky. It’s not really that bad for the normal person.

To Anet though: There are some of us who have motion issues in the game, we have found ways around the, while the bobble head was cute and fun, after a while, it was a little over the top, an option to turn it off would have been nice.

Well I posted here since the staff is replying and I would love to hear what they have to say since I am afraid of buying gems on this account in case something like this would happen again. I would also like to know why they treat their customers like crap, as long as you give them money everything is fine but as soon as there are small problems they don’t even help you to fix it.

Reversing a payment isn’t a small problem. I understand to you it’s a small problem. But to big companies, it’s actually a lot of work and costs them a lot of money in the end. It’s also a way that people have used to commit fraud. Charge money to a card. Account gets gems. Reverse money on card. Gems are on account. Now when money is reversed, it costs the company the money they cost, but if they gems were already used, they have to go in and take back the items, which if they were converted into gold, they have to find the gold, and as you can see, it can become and extremely painful process. It’s just easier for them to completely close the account because of all the costs associated with the charge back. I’m not saying this was the case for you, but sometimes, it’s due to fraud, so when it’s fraud, it’s just easier to close everything and just be done it with all.

You would most likely just be told to update the ticket, but if it’s been a very long time, you’ll have to recreate a ticket and start over, only because it’ll be hard for them to even find the old one. In this case, you can’t blame Anet for their rules when it really was Paypal’s fault. If anything, you need to blame Paypal here.

The forums can’t help you. You need to send in a ticket so they can actually look into your account and see what happened. Is your mailbox full? Sometimes you have to delete a message for the one with the BL items to even come in.

Deleted Characters with no rollback!?

That’s the thing, it’s completely on your end. In this case, it has nothing to do with Anet. Same IP, same computer logged in and deleted the characters/items. Some people delete their stuff because they don’t want to come back to the game. It sucks it happens, but Anet isn’t going to restore, and that’s the end of it. Blame whomever had access to your computer.

If they had a weak system, you would assume A LOT more accounts would be hacked, and a lot more people would be here complaining about lost items. That is not the case. It does show that their system does in fact work, and it must work extremely well.

Authenticator Fails - Unable to Log-in at all

Also, check the time on both his computer and authenticator. Sometimes they are off, and then it won’t match up due to the set time limit to respond. So while in actual real time you are doing it right away, based on the times on both of them, it’s too far apart. If that makes any sense. I remember people having that issue in the past. Otherwise contact support like the others have suggested.

I do find it funny how you guys are blaming buying gems on getting hacked. I would think that you would want to check your credit card statement, or paypal account as that is the information you entered to buy the gems, not your account id and password.

On a side note: I’ve bought a lot of gems, and was only attempted to be hacked 1 day, and that was when Blizzard was hacked and I will admit, I was using the same information for both games. Thankfully, Anet had the email authenticator and they couldn’t get in, and I changed everything since then. Continued to buy gems and continued to have no further hack attempts.

While it may not be clear, they have stated in the past when those were released that they were account based skin unlocks. Might be an idea to put in a suggestion to make it clearer there for new players.

You really need to learn what your are entitled to. And learn to read the whole response. I’m going to bet that it wasn’t just the use of the 1 word “noob”. Gail tends to come here and post not exact quotes, but the amount of times you said something they consider inappropriate. Are you sure you’re ready to be called out?

I’ve read far too many of the same types of responses from arenanet when it comes to refunds. i.e ‘we cannot do this, because we do not have the means to remove the upgrade’ or ‘we cannot facilitate a return of purchased goods’.

Here’s a question Arenanet? Why not just provide some these refunds to your dedicated players as a gesture of goodwill? I’m sure you can see how much someone has spent in gems – and for those who have spent a lot of money, why not just give these people a refund without needing to take the item back?

I’ve dealt with a lot of companies in the past who have offered goodwill gestures to customers who have supported them a lot. But I’ve yet to see arenanet budge an inch when it comes to refunds.

We are paying customers (and some of us are very high paying customers), and we have helped support your product. Help support us back from time to time.

Simple, people then get the mentality “Well if he got it, I was a refund as well!” You would be surprised how many people feel they are entitled to something, especially when they are at fault for the issue. (I am in no way saying the OP is in this boat.) Anet has set their rules, and if they bend them for one, you’ll get someone else feeling like they deserve it too. The OP cannot use the tabs as he is already at the max, where as someone who bought character slots can make a character in them. And then, if they let refunds, how do they know something “accidentally” bought extra items, where as they are just trying to get them for free. They drew the line, we have to respect them, or not buy from them anymore.

That doesn’t really show that they are scamming, and this is the account issues forums. If you really feel they are scamming the spot, you need to send that in a report. You can do so in game, and include a screenshot, or you can email them.

Ascended Ring Issue

The ring does state that it is unique. Usually support doesn’t refund in this situation, but what you can do for rings is make one ascended (add the +5 agony to the ring naturally, not putting in an infusion) which makes it a different ring. If you never plan on doing fractals this will end up being the best option for you.

You need to submit a ticket for them to look into it. It’s possible you were hacked and the hackers did that. Once you submit a ticket, support can look into this for you.

Except that a car is not a video game. I understand where you’re coming from, but it’s like comparing, well, video games to cars, really. Two totally different things. I would love to get the Heroic edition, but since I’ve got the Digital Deluxe Edition (and that would come with the stuff found in the Heroic Edition), I’d love to be able to get those things as well. That’s my opinion, anyway.

You can. You have to buy them. You can’t expect a company that has a cash based store to give people free items when they release a new package to try to draw new players to the game.

Anet stated many times that they will help if they can prove someone accessed your account. All they can see from your case is your computer logged into your account. Your account wasn’t hacked, your computer was. At this point, it’s on your, and the maker of your laptop if remote access really was the cause of it.

The fact that you are getting a 72 hour ban means you already had a bad name before, or you have multiple infractions and they combined them all. If you really want to know what is wrong, you’ll have to submit a ticket, the forums won’t give you the answer you want.

As it’s been posted numerous times, there is no contact number for support. But there is an email address you can email them if you can’t access the support sight. I would try that. The forums aren’t monitored for support requests, only when a request was made, and there is an issue with that. They can’t create your ticket for you.

There is an email address you can send to without having your support account. I don’t remember it at the moment, and I’m trying to find it for you. You can just email them, give them your ticket number, explain your support account isn’t working, and go from there.

I find these posts rather funny. I get the auth emails all the time, so their system do in fact work. It’s something on your end. If it was their end, everyone would have issues, but there are those of us who have it work all the time.

Actually, it is not a bug. As you can clearly see, the limit is set to 10. You really need to pull from your mail and ensure that it is less then 10. Yes, it sucks, but it is of no fault of Anet’s. It very clearly states 10 is the limit. You chose to not remove items from the mail and resulted in this happening. And yes, I can say it is your fault, as you have a lot of heart mail listed in there. That is not player sent mail, that is you not deleting them.

Not true.

In GW2 it simply means you cannot equip more than one. The game does not prevent you from carrying more than one at a time.

Thus you cannot “have” more then 1. The player above bought 2 to wear both, and was upset they weren’t informed. I pointed out that UNIQUE is listed on the item.

There is a way to “farm them”.

Level up to 30.
Farm jump puzzles daily.
Get Silver Doubloons.

This is a tried and tested method. My SO just farmed 250 doing this. As the jump puzzles are character bound, you could do a few to level 30. The range is level 30-35. If you are higher then 35, you most likely will stop getting them.

First of all Im not support. So I’m reacting from an outsite point of view. The provided screenshot proves not much in my opinion. First off all, the recent purchases don’t show any dates. So it could very well be that you bought the other pick before the mystic forge stones.

Besides that you are not showing the second email that came with the second pick. So I don’t see any proof. (not saying your a liar either btw).

I do hope an arenanet official can clear this up for you.

I understand where you are coming from with those view points. Anet should have date records of my gem transactions and the date to my purchases so they can line up the purchases with the screen shot to see what I am talking about.The screen shot is more or less to just show Anet that I have 2 picks and the basic idea of my transactions. (Though correct me if I am wrong, doesn’t this list have room for 1 more transaction at the bottom? That is my entire purchase history for the gem store, so I don’t know how far down the list goes. If I have room for 1 more slot, then the screen shot proves what I speak of.)

The thing that annoys me about my ticket is that they checked my transactions and they stated they didn’t see a double transaction for the pick, but in the screen shot I can prove that I have 2 picks and with logical deduction one can see that the one purchase to two picks doesn’t match up at all. That is where the logical thinking of this issue is bothering me. They had a Bug. Yes bugs can cause confusion or misleading information, but I’m laying out the information so Anet can see what is going on.

Seeing how this issue is something to do with the Gem Store and its how Anet gathers money from players, I was under the assumption that an issue/bug such as this would be HUGE due to the fact that it -can- occur with other players. I understand Anet’s leeriness with the issue if I am the -only- person having this problem (which I don’t know if I am or not).

I’m just getting annoyed that this issue is taking over a month to resolve. =(

I’m a software engineer myself and I’m willing to work with Anet to assist with this issue and explain in as much detail to what could possibly caused this issue, but if I can’t even make it through people who understand logic, then what?

If you had indeed purchased the pick twice, both would show up in the recent list. Seeing as only 1 is showing, I can see how they only see 1 pick being purchased.

And this is why I think Windows is the worst thing ever invented, yet everyone still worships them.

It’s a Windows issue. Anet cannot and should not be expected to fix it. You really can’t expect them to give you a free 64 bit OS due to a Windows issue as 1) They didn’t create it and 2) You would benefit from a 64 bit OS on other things besides just the game. Or are you saying when you no longer want to play GW2 you will uninstall the 4 bit OS and send the cd key back to Anet so they could have it. Doubt you would.

In short, upgrade or deal with the crashes.

Make sure you are using the correct username. The user name is actually your email address, not the account id that you would have created. Some people have been using the wrong information to log in when they first start. I’m not saying this is the case for you, though a lot of people have had this issue.

Well, if you read that correctly, it means they figured out the issue that caused THAT rollback and it won’t happen again. Not that a rollback will never happen again. Welcome to technology, it has moments, it is never perfect. Look at Windows, how many times does Windows have an issue, and yet people will use it.

All of the information you first provided and be obtained from anyone who gains access to the account. If I hacked your account, I have most of that, then I can use that information to change your email and you’re done.

The 2nd bit of information only the person who purchased it could have access to. I can’t figure out that information just from logging in.

Also check your clock on your computer. Sometimes if it’s wrong and not when the daily should be reset for you, or even the day is wrong, it can mess up your daily tracking.

and honest to god, if my password has leaked somehow, im going to take legal action. im getting tired of gaming companies leaking personal info left and right and not taking responsibility for it.

You can try, but you won’t get very far. They are backed by a huge legal team, and they already covered themselves with that agreement you accepted at the beginning. Be thankful that the email authenticator caught it and they didn’t get in.

So it sounds like that they reviewed the IP addresses that accessed your account and only found the one you are using, resulting in someone in your house or you deleting it while not remembering.

How do you accidentally delete a character? You have to click on the delete button, then it gives a warning about you losing everything and type in their full name to confirm the delete. It’s their fail safe system. They don’t do roll backs for your mistake.
