Before you pull the “physical store it would be illegal” you also can’t prove you didn’t click character slot and purchase it and try to get it for free. People have done that and tried to get away with it. I’m not saying that is what you are trying, but you can’t prove that isn’t what you did. Whether it was on purpose or an accident, you can’t prove you didn’t purchase that slot. Since nobody else has posted or sent in a ticket saying they purchased black lion keys and got a character slot, it’s more sounding like something happened on your end and not something on Anet’s end.

You’ll have to pick which server you want to be on, and then which region you want to be with. After that, you can do what Lyric said. They won’t transfer you for free because it was never intended to be a free feature in the game.

The “ONLY” free transfers they have done is for hacked accounts that also are transferred while hacked. That is it.

I see two tickets from your friend, once closed (appropriately) as a duplicate. I suggest he read the sticky post at the top of this sub-forum, because the team is sending responses, and he clearly is not receiving them. Sorry I can’t help more, but he might consider the option of using a different ISP to contact us, being prepared to verify ownership, of course.

I think Gaile means email address. Try using a different email address if the first one isn’t getting the responses. Usually means there is a block, and Anet cannot get past it.

Do Report claims even get looked at?

Is it just me or does it seem that report claims for anything other than gold sellers ever get handled? I also feel that a lot of people feel this way and because of such do not care if they get reported.

Anyone else?

I’ve personally seen people come back after some “time away” and whine about their “vacation” so yes, they must work. For privacy reasons, Anet isn’t going to say “So and So was banned”. They also don’t ban the moment you report as a human looks at the report to ensure you are actually reporting for a legitimate reason and not just troll reporting someone you hate.

If Support mentions a compromise, ASK for information about when and how long the compromise happened. You need this info when you request the rollback.

Support can change it for you. You just have to ask them in the same ticket.

My account was hacked about a week ago i am missing characters, gems and gold and theres been purchases on my credit card during that week and i have been advised to ask for an account rollback ticket is #735323 and i had the legendary staff on my ele that is now missing

735323 – Under review, but this person needs to immediately STOP submitting duplicate tickets. We have received a flood of tickets, possibly from someone who does not own the account.

Gaile already posted about your ticket. You should not be posting again since it still hasn’t been 3 days. Patience young one.

Whatever, I now see how Anet feels about it’s players. Another day wasted on waiting for a reply. 3 day is ridiculous to just get a password reset.

If you have to actually speak to support to get your password reset, then it’s pretty serious. I’ve reset my password without supports help and it was pretty instant. When you don’t remember your information, and have to speak to someone, yes, it will take time. Also, there were people who submitted tickets BEFORE you who will be handled BEFORE you, thus wait your turn.

And Anet will get phone support when Anet has a monthly fee for this game. Phone support costs money, and that is what the monthly fees tend to go towards. Since Anet only can rely on the income of the sale of the game, phone support is too costly to have.

What is the spec of your guardian? The gems not showing up certainly needs a ticket, but I’m wondering if the reason you can’t use the traits you bought is because you don’t have the right spec to use them.

I read somewhere, it means your internal queue is full. You’ll need to empty it to be able to activate the story. Some of it is having too many items on the trading post, so if you have anything to pick up, do that and it should help. Also, check your mail and see if you have a lot sitting and waiting and delete those as well. That should help. If I can find the link to the post, I’ll post it here, but what I suggested is what was listed on the post that I remember.

You can contact support then for help. Have your girlfriend send in the ticket since it’s her account as they only speak to the account owners. Also, make sure you are using the account name (which is the email address) and not the display name (name.####)

You have to speak to the Battle Historian in wvw to get your new box to get the new tickets. Next time you should ask in game about it, because I bet you your guild or even map chat would have answered this. Some people weren’t getting their chest. So Anet voided all the tickets and gave everyone new ones.

The restrictions are game wide, and no support agent can remove them. It’s like asking a support agent to remove a boss in a dungeon. They can’t do it. It’s a time base restriction. EVERYONE who is new has it. As much as Anet loves people who spend money on gems, they don’t treat anyone who has spent money on gems differently then those who have not. Everyone is equal in their eyes since everyone bought the game.

You can try contacting support, but wouldn’t count on it.

What a thoroughly crappy way to implement a great idea. If there is a way, ANET finds it.

Can’t blame Anet for the fact that you chose to override the skin with a different one. If they never put in the wardrobe, you would have never had the skin, so why should they try to go back through everyone’s account and try to find skins that they deleted/removed/etc.

Your “GM” doesn’t reply to forum posts to fix issues. Support handles questions through the ticket system, but I will tell you this. Don’t even bother wasting their time. This system is in place for a reason and you will have to learn a little thing called patience. You chose to send the money to a new account. This is what happens. The mail system is only limited to new accounts. I have no issues with it, and I’ve been playing since release.

It means his account is too new to send money. It’s to prevent gold sellers from being able to send money. He’ll just have to keep playing to be able to send it back. It doesn’t mean he’ll never be able to, just he’s on a temporary limit.

Because they only restore accounts for those who were hacked. That is their policy. They cannot prove you were hacked, thus your account is not eligible. You only get 1 account restore ever as well. For all they know, you deleted all of your stuff before you quit to ensure you wouldn’t come back. A lot of people do that to stop playing games. Or someone in your house had access to your account and deleted your stuff for giggles or because they were mad at you.

Tickets are handled in the order they are received. You wouldn’t want someone to bump in front of your ticket just because they posted on the forums for help. Also, they want to speak to the account owner, so your brother might end up having to submit the ticket, unless he’s under the legal age.

There is the option of a roll back, and you can speak to support about it. They can see when you last played to try to roll back to that point once they verify everything. You will have to prove ownership of the account (obviously) and after they return the account, they can roll it back for you. You only get 1 account roll back ever, but it’ll be worth if. Also, you might want to think about changing the email address your account is associated with, but that is up to you. If the hackers have your information, changing the password only changes half of the login info for them.

No, if your brother deleted them, you can’t recover them. It sounds like you either had knight armor you picked up and somehow swapped that with your shoulders and never noticed the change, or someone in your house got on your account and changed them.

It could very well be your email blocking their replies and not them. Anet set up methods to have tickets not responded to helped. The fact that you waited and still never got it resolved means you chose to ignore it. Or, maybe they did resolve it, and you just didn’t like the answer. What you said was pretty vague.

Q/ Guild bank lost after server switch

Guesting doesn’t let you access the guild bank. Only being a person on the server will let you access it. You’d have to switch back to the server to access the bank again. You will have to note there will a cool down for transfers of 7 days. And yes, it’s not free to transfer, it would cost gems.

It’s not an issue, nor a problem. Guild banks are tied to servers. Everything is still there on the original server, the new server hasn’t earned anything for your guild yet.

You can post your ticket number in the 3 days thread if you haven’t heard anything from them for over 3 days, but I would suggest sending a message first to see if they are working on the rollback. Otherwise post the ticket there to get the ball rolling. Sometimes agents forget to move the ticket to the right queue.

Are you located on the same server that these services were attained on? If your guild earned them on one server, and you are located on another, then you won’t be able to access them. It’s a server attained service (sorry if I explained that funny).

This thread is INCREDIBLY depressing. I would have never imagined the enjoyment of a video game could be so divisive when it comes to sharing a great experience with the people you love, people that are your direct, immediate FAMILY. I’m deeply troubled at the implications of what I’ve read here, and shame on me for obviously not interpreting the ToS properly, as to me my immediate family, my household is equal to myself, and as such I hold them entitled to everything I am and own, as their happiness is my happiness. As I said, I’d been wanting to get a second computer so I could play along with my wife, and the solution to the question I posted has already been properly laid out, but learning what I have right now has definitely made me really, deeply hurt and sorry for what the gaming industry has apparently had to become. Thanks to all who’ve responded, I appreciate your time very much.

I saw a post one where a guy shared the account with his wife. Him and his wife proceeded to split up and she, still having the login information, proceeded to deleted ALL of his characters. Since the guy shared the account info, he opened himself to this, and thus, Anet was not responsible to restore the account. THAT is why they have that in place. I’m not saying you and your wife will have this problem. But it covers Anet from having to waste their time because people open their account to malicious events when they need to be more responsible. What if you let a smaller child access the account and they deleted a character who had 3 legendaries on it. Would you expect Anet to restore the account? People have, Anet has said no. The ToS is there to protect you and Anet.

Technically, sharing the account was against the ToS yes. Not sharing the computer, sharing the account.

Edit: And here is why, if your wife did something, say she decided to delete a character that you had created, or say after a while, you two decided to split up, who would be the rightful owner of the account, if you both had the details of the account, and tried to claim it as your own, Anet wouldn’t get involved. You can go and read many posts by people who have had “shared accounts” issues and Anet has many many times done reinstated the “We do not allow shared accounts.”

They don’t have any options to transfer characters since technically, you shouldn’t have been sharing the account in the first place (per the ToS). Sorry, she’ll have to start over her character on the new account. Anything that isn’t soulbound or account bound you’ll be able to mail her, but be warned, her new account will have some restrictions so if you attempted to mail things back (like money) she might have a delay.

Not sure why you would necro an old post about changing your display name. They have the ability to block the person, and you can file an appeal if they have found a way around their blocks, but they won’t really go in and change the name because of a “claim” (I’m not saying it’s not true, but they won’t really go into the time to check, they will just not change it since it’s not a security risk, and tell you to block the person, and if they are still harassing you, they will deal with the person.) Otherwise, file a police report.

Account not Recognizing the daily refresh

Question for you, when you are looking for the daily to reset, are you looking for it to reset 24 hours after you did the the day before, or when the official day reset occurs? Also, when you are logging on, what are the usually time frames. And is your computer’s clock set to the correct time and date? (I know the last one seems strange, but there was a known issue with that.)

Phone support has nothing to do with anything. Submit the information they need to prove you are the owner of the account. You can reply to the email and say you are the owner and what other information can you supply to prove it. Also, when you set up the authenticator, it did state “Write this information in a safe place incase you need to reset your authenticator.” When you didn’t follow that, you did ask for yourself to have some trouble.

No offense, but support just can’t take word of mouth that you had the items, I could put in a ticket saying I had 2 dusks and they just “disappeared” and expect them to replace them. They have ways to check that you had them. If it’s not showing, it’s not showing. Has nothing to do with bad support. Sometimes, you just don’t get what you want. Doesn’t make the support bad.

My boyfriend stopped playing guildwars 2 for 2 years. As the password requirement involves having a “special character” in it, he cannot remember what it is.

He also does not have the serial number of his digital purchase as it was 2 years ago and he deletes old emails.

he submitted a ticket earlier today about forgetting his password, however he received an inappropriate response stating that they can’t help him access his account, no explanation given AT ALL.

There is no other way, other than through tickets, to get customer support. He paid 60$ and did not play for more than a week.

This is a very simple matter and customer support should be able to resolve the matter in a few minutes, not respond in a completely unhelpful manner.

He also does not remember which email he used to sign up, as he has 2 emails he uses for games, so that might be why support is not helping him, however that info should be included in the response.

Please help.

No, support shouldn’t say “By the way, the email you are contacting us isn’t the email used on the account”, that is basically helping those who aren’t the account owners gain more information to accounts. He can continue to speak to support through the ticket asking what information they are wanting. But if he can’t give them anything, and expects them to say “Here is the email address” then that is fantasy land.

That isn’t something support can really help with. Before choosing the item, there is the ability the preview it, and you’ll be able to select the other item later on. Also, submitting a forum post isn’t going to get you assistance. Next time, take the time to use the preview option and look at the items available.

No, Anet does not allow account sharing. For many many reasons. It’s listed in the ToS.
