Your skin will wrinkle and your youth will fade, but your soul is endless.
Yes, this is true. If you find the content offensive, not because you don’t like any roleplaying, but because a certain segment of roleplaying is crossing the line into sexually-related content, abusive chat, truly “offensive” content in the standard definition of the word, then use the in-game report system, please, and the team will review.
How do we use the in game report system for /me?
You’d have to run around the area to find where the player is, then right-click their character and select the report option. For explicit/offensive chat, verbal abuse should be the correct category.
For something that appears in the chat screen, there’s no need to find the player. You simply right click the name in the chat window, and report.
Even the gray emote text? I wasn’t aware you could do that.
I feel they shouldn’t be 400 gems, but I’ll pay 400 gems anyways. kitten you Anet! I love you!
~so conflicted~
You know, I’ve heard complaints about being ripped off, but it’s really rare to hear about the company not ripping off people.
Not only that, but not ripping people off enough!
What?!
Shhhh!
According to Code 12, Article 7, Paragraph 22, sub-paragraph 53: It is unlawful to even discuss Polymock!
What have you done?
~in the distance can be heard the sounds of the Black Golems already on their way~
(Seriously though, I too would like to know why the polymock area exists.)
Personally, I would love for my necromancer to be able to use Nightwing
Well, one can dream at least.

Points to glider skins——> Glider skins
I think ANet has decided those are the gw2 versions of mounts.
Now if only updrafts were added to non-HoT Tyria.
~EW
Around Wizard’s Feif, yes?
Perhaps.
As I stated in another thread, I only have one character that’s made it out of Central Tyria. Out of the rest of my cast, only two have made it to Fort Trinity, the rest not even past Claw Island. They all see the anomalies, and quite frequently too.
But my one character, she’s the only one that screams. She’s seen things the rest haven’t.
Well…I’m stumped.
Well, this hasn’t been merged with the main mount thread, which they usually are and quite quickly when they appear. So I would hazard a guess that Anet is thinking about caving in and implementing mounts.
Or it may be that they just haven’t gotten around to it yet. I remember one such mounts thread that grew to seven pages before it finally got merged.
Thank you Penelope, for saying what I wanted to say.
It would help a ton if the emote range were a bit less. Perhaps a lot less. A dedicated channel is an issue because then it’s what, map wide? RPers don’t want mingled RP from further than their characters can interact any more than you do.
In the past ANet did reduce the emote range to a much more reasonable radius (say, the width of a large inn), but in some patch or other that broke to make it carry for miles again.
Yeah, I think this is the root of the problem. And I say this as an RPer.
For me, it’s super addicting AND it’s fun.
Alas, I have neither the Grumble Cake for the Necromancer, nor the soup for the Guardian.
Some day…
I know, I had to make a thief, then somehow get him up to Hrathi Hinterlands without getting killed every three steps to get the soulbound item to feed the delinquent cat.
A couple of cats plus 9 you mean?
9 new fantastic cats have appeared!
9 more! :o Do you know where they are?
Yes, as I already got all of them. Each one only takes a certain food from a certain class. For example, the Revolting Cat only takes grumble cake from a necromancer.
This again?
Ok. Summary:
1- Some people like mounts. Some people don’t. Arguments come and go always the same.
2- Mounts could be a great cosmetic addition to the gemstore, say someone. They will contibute to the visual clutter that already drowns the game, answer someone.
3- Mounts couldn’t have speed boosts because that would destroy the balance in the exploration part of the game, explains someone. People who plays only combat oriented despises this reasoning and use recursive arguments to say mounts with boost being non-combat only should be ok.
4-Mounts could look so cool, says one. They will stress up the servers, accuses another. Technical discussion about processing resources, graphic properties and toggles ensues. Not conclusive.
5- Someone mention cosmetic mounts already exist, in the form of travel toys like the flying carpet. Mount fans don’t like that solution and recognize they want speed boosts anyway.
6- People began to post lush examples from other games. WOW fans shine. WOW fans are encouraged to go back to play that.
7- Someone says Anet already said they never allow mounts. Someone says Anet never said that. No sources are given on any of these claims.
8- Back to 1 a few times.
9- Topic get merged with the big one.
10- Lots of dead horse beating gifs and images.
Yep, sounds about right. Thanks!

Hi Op,
I just wanted to let you know that no, not all role players are like the ones you experienced. Not all of us are into ERP as most people would have you believe.
Also, not every role player just hangs out in a tavern and chats. Just last night my some of my guild mates and I role played a scenario where two of our characters were kidnapped by the Inquest, and the rest of us followed clues across several maps to find and rescue them.
Many times, when I just want to relax, I’ll take my Priory character, go to the Priory, and greet people in /say, welcoming them to the Priory. Most of the time I’m ignored, sometimes I get trolls who spam skills on me, but once in a while I get actual interaction, and even a “Well done!” in a private message.
My point is, don’t be discouraged, keep at it!
So far, only my one character that’s been to the Heart of Maguuma, Bloodstone Fen, and Ember Bay has had her screaming fits. None of my other characters, who haven’t left Core Tyria yet, have done so.
The (scream) is always random.
Yes this is a complaint thread, from a WvW and PvP perspective.
Ah, then as a Open World PvEer, none of this applies to my necromancer, who uses Grasping Darkness anyways.
We already have the tail hanging on a wall. How about if we reanimate that and have the Tail of Zhaitan as a boss fight?
Or use it’s DNA to clone a new one, you know Jurrasic Park style.
No expense spared of course!
That’s because we Asura are so amazing, we don’t need another “small” race to balance things out.
Wow you people are bloodthirsty….
The main jumping puzzle in Silverwastes was ok for me. What drove me nuts was getting all those Golden Badges with all their own mini-jumping puzzles which I found to be insanely hard.
I have yet to try Chalice of Tears, maybe this weekend when I have a few hours to spare, if it takes that long.
Greatest prison you can waypoint out of any time.
Excelsior.
When you’re waking up you’ve already been a test subject for several hours and and the Peacemakers took all your biometric data and created a felony report. The ticket and the receipt will be sent via mail later. The “prison cell” is actually an anaesthetic recovery room. That’s why we put several of you in one without any safety concerns.
Don’t worry, we keep the results and the embarrassing footage for our studies … ugh … I mean, we keep them save and hidden… cough
Then we test your Bookah level by checking how long it takes for you to leave. The more desperate you get, the higher your score. You’re free to use another great Asuran technology from now on to leave (the waypoints) whenever you want.
I think it’s rather amusing that our methods needed to be explained to them.
Hydras might be interesting to see again.
Dryders however, those can STAY gone. ~shudders~
I used to think that “Honors in Applied Jumping” was a jumping puzzle title. Then I did my research.
I did send in a bug report, but I thought it wouldn’t hurt to post it here as well.
By Vice Chef Hernandez in Osprey Pillars, Ember Bay map, there is a group of Pocket Raptors that are invincible (you do 0 damage to them). I asked others if they were doing 0 damage, you can see their responses in the chat box.
I’ve killed this group previously, so this invincibleness is new.
See screenshot below.
TIL: The Mursaat are NOT ALLOWED to modify their looks over the course of 250+ years.
The fire islands are in a corner of the map, anyway. Just don’t look there.
Not looking there doesn’t help, because we know it’s there. That’s the torture. Hopefully a color change for repeating the hearts is on the way.
Would you like to see something like this?
Never.
That doesn’t sound right because I definitely got cloth and leather items from the new guild hall nodes yesterday and I use infinite Mad Scientist tools.
I don’t mind necro’d posts much, it gives me a chance to tease the necrologist.
But the PvE is still bad, and I’ve already finished the story missions for it!
Let me guess, you rushed through everything instead of experiencing everything.
What’s with the open world PvP on the west side of the island?
EDIT: What I mean is, why are other players turning red?
It’s part of the story stuff. No one can damage you, and you can’t attack anyone else while it’s happening.
You collect jade armor pieces, and then put them on to disguise yourself as one.
Yeah, found that out later. I nearly panicked thinking open world PvP somehow made it into this game (and thankfully it didn’t).
Thanks Rose!

And just where did you go diving at?
Please….tell me it’s silenced.
I know exactly what you mean OP. I “main” four characters out of a total of eight (see signature). Of those four I really only focus on two. I feel so bad for my other characters, except one because he’s a key farmer and I feel bad for him for groundhog day reasons. Then, when I do play the lesser played characters, I feel like I should be returning to my mains ASAP.
~sigh~
Depends for me.
Today after dailies, it will be guild missions (I need those commendations).
Other days, it’s a wide variety of things. Gathering, map completion, World Bosses, get together with friends and role play. The possibilities really are endless, and there’s always something to do.
I’m never bored.
I guess since Halloween is just around the corner, forum posters are practicing their thread necromancy.
Well, you can purchase things in the Heart of Thorns other maps for Map Currency alone. So, I guess it’s not a complete trend. /shrug
Doesn’t bother me; the very first thing I purchased in Bloodstone Fen was the Home Instance Node.
That’s exactly what I did.
Agreeing with the others here, that node isn’t a reward, it’s an item available for purchase by a vendor.

My son and I quit at the same time. I think the difficulty in HoT and how it was so tedious is what did us in. It was not “fun”…
But isnt GW2 progrrssion horizontal? Meaning the volcanic area is just a new max level area, so I can now skip the HoT area?
You might consider working on your Gliding and Ancient Magic Masteries in Bloodstone Fen; they will probably come in handy in the new map(s).
Good luck.
Yep, I think op is going to be in for a rude awakening.
