How do mining nodes relate to cats at home? And what do these cats get you? Sorry, I’m new(ish) to the game

You can fill your Home Instance with mining nodes. You can also fill your home with cats by finding various Hungry Cats and feeding them various items. The cats don’t really get you anything (yet) other than making your home feel more alive.

I have all the cats, and I’m very close to having all the nodes in my home.

My guess is it will be 200/400 gems in the store tomorrow. It’s masterwork quality and most other gemstore minis are masterwork.

Besides….it’s a cat and will be a surefire way to get people to buy gems.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be available in the gem store today.

Personally I think completing a Black Lion collection is pretty difficult simply because there are so many sets out there with nice skins, it’s hard to choose just one set and stick with it.

Firstly, what makes you think a lack of money is what’s stopping them making new Halloween content every year? Maybe they want the festival to be standardised?

Secondly if you want to give them money every month the option is already there. Buy gems each month and then use them to buy whatever you think should be included in your ‘membership’.

That’s exactly what I do. I go to my local Target and buy a $25 gem card every month. No “membership” needed.

So far I’ve managed to get 33 Candy Corn Cobs, both from grinding the labyrinth and candy corn bought off the trading post. I’m not sure I can get the remaining amount of cobs needed in time.

The price for this mini is beyond insanity.

I did my Dailies last night and didn’t see a single Candy Corn node or Door in the landscape. Did Anet forget to flip that switch?

I didn’t either, and I went looking for them in the suggested locations found in the wiki. So far I’ve only found them in Lion’s Arch.

Also, the home instance Feline Familiar will go to the Candy Corn node (if you have one) and rub itself on it, releasing pink hearts of love and happiness into the air. Too cute!

Since I didn’t get to enjoy it much last year, it’s pretty new to me, and I’m loving it.

It’s not a bug, Cedo! It’s witch’s broom toy, skill 5 when not in Brawl. It makes an interactable feline familiar. Anyone with the broom can proc it at will.

What about those without the witch’s broom toy? As in, I have it and can summon the familiar, can my friends interact with it? (At work right now so can’t check for myself just yet)

Yeah our character is hardly blameless in the slaughter stakes. We have wandered into Skritt and Hylek villages slaughtering without discrimination. Same with Jotun and Ogres.

Yep, that’s where I get my gem cards from. In fact, I’ll be going to pick up a card today since it’s payday for me.

$15 gem card, you pay $15 exactly, same with the $25 gem card.

I’ve started using mine for a weekly key-farm. 1 scroll + 45min = 1 key + 11 bags of loot…. I think that’s a decent trade-off.

What sort of key farm are you doing that takes 45 min? Even Wooden Potatoes video explaining how to run the key farm in under 16 minutes lasts only 24 minutes. What are you doing with your other 20 minutes?

(I don’t mean to suggest there’s anything wrong with taking your time. I am more curious as to whether you’re doing something that’s more interesting than the typical farm and might influence me to change how I run it.)

Honestly, I don’t know why it takes me that long. I’m doing what I understand is the quicker way to do it: Warrior, human, commoner, ineffable berserk gear, skip the dialogue, utilize waypoints and my home-port stone… It has been getting quicker each time I do it.

It just might be that it’s one of the first things I do Sunday mornings, and I’m just not caffeinated enough yet, lol.

Same for me, except I use a ranger, in honor of my first GW1 character all those years ago (use their name too). Takes about the same time, sometimes a bit less. I’m probably just not awake enough either.
