Your skin will wrinkle and your youth will fade, but your soul is endless.
As someone who doesn’t PvP at all, I won’t be bothering with Dragonball. I have more important things to do, like dailes, gathering, standing in the middle of Rata Sum and chatting it up with others…
I didn’t realize how badly I needed this until I read op’s post!
Reason #246 to just stay away from PvP.
Just took a character to that story instance and was reminded what an eyesore that version of Shantytown Lion’ Arch was. Good riddance!
The lion statue with the circling sailing ships is nice though.
Yes, as half my guild main asura (including me), we’ve had many discussions regarding our desire to have asura themed guild decorations.
I wish they were tradable because I would buy at least eight of them every week.
I think you have more important things to worry about, like the remaining Elder Dragons, and all the unbound magic flying around.
Look at the bright side OP, you got to watch yourself get slaughtered in an epic, cinematic fashion.
If we have airships, then why can’t we see what’s in Dominion of Winds?
Did the diessa event daily last night. Took like five minutes without any issues. Plenty of events available.
Mine took a little longer, as one of the events was the Giant at Naegling (spelling?), and that alone is about two to three minutes to complete.
But yeah, Diessa was done rather fast.
Well….thanks for proving that there’s no x100 achievement?
~shrugs~
Asura: Annual Polymock Festival.
Make it happen Anet!
Thanks for adding shared slots! Always appreciated!
Does anyone know if the “bank job” bank slot increases the max allowed? I assume not.
I’m guessing “no” as well, so those who buy these better make sure they’re not maxed already (mine aren’t).
I’ll be looking into getting the additional shared inventory slots as well.
I wouldn’t say that either of these things that can easily be found in many other MMO’s are “missing” in this game.
Just like mounts, capes, and open world PvP.
I usually just go to my local Target or Best Buy to get gem cards. However, I’m that one weird person that likes to pay cash for things.
There are now three classes of necromancers: Power, Condition, and Thread.
i barely made the 4.5K AP, are you ppl so addicted that AP is the holy grail all of a sudden?
There are some that are so addicted to Achievement Points, they don’t want you to have any more so they can look even more outstanding.
Nothing like engaging a World Boss or a Legendary Bloodstone Crazed creature with some jackhole screaming in map chat “MOAR DEEPS!!”
Really kid? That’s your solution?
I know this is a bit off topic, but I was waiting for the Arctic Explorer outfit, which, to my knowledge, wasn’t on sale this season at all. I mean, it’s cold right now, right?
I don’t really understand why it wasn’t offered when Bitterfrost Frontier opened.
“Hey, you’re going to a pretty cold place, you might need this!” ~points at Arctic Explorer outfit in the gem store~
I love this game, and I love Anet, but sometimes I really have trouble understanding their thinking.
~snip~
This game is now designed for casuals who buy and drop the game. Sorry.
Wow, that’s a huge brush you’re painting with.
Look at your friends, follower, blocklist and tell me how empty they are. (rhetorical)
This game is no fun anymore as there’s nothing to accomplish as everything is just too easy.
My friends list is full off white names. My three guilds are so active, I sometimes have a hard time choosing which one to run with. I have no shortage of things to do in this game, and everywhere I go, there are other players doing things.
I have a lot of fun with this game, I’m sorry you’re not.
Let me see if I understand the OP’s post. He feels players should have the right to tie up a map slot in PvE or WvW doing nothing for as long as that person wants and use the game’s resources to keep the player there. In addition he feels that when the game does finally kick it’s an imposition to have to hit the log on button after having been away for hours.
Hmmmm. Something something first world issues something something.
Not only that, but judging by his choice of words, he feels as if he’s been personally attacked.
Thanks. Well, if it’s still up when I get home, I’ll pull the trigger. If not, oh well.
Anyone know how long the character slot sale will last. I’m still out of town and won’t be back for another two days.
Gamers have gone too soft to allow this in games today. Personally I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see open world Pvp in GW2.
Some of my best gaming memories are with impromptu fights in cities and while questing. I always found it fun.
If this is what you consider fun then perhaps GW2 isn’t the game for you, especially since us PvEers are too “soft” for you.
MORE view blocking wings? I hope they never become a playable race.
I’d also like to wear my Top Hat with my Noble Attire.

I want mounts and a new race.
Capes! Alchemy, you forgot the capes!
Epically long post.
Wellalrightythen. Good luck with that.
Is there a new dungeon developer team now? If not, I wouldn’t expect anything happening to dungeons anytime soon.
I keep reading the title as “Gem Store Asura Wardrobe Idea.”
More annoying then the full volume Troll Mini and its heavy breathing?
By far.
I don’t know if it’s just because I’m looking at it on my phone but that just looks like a yellow arrow in a big black rectangle, next to a silhouette of a woman.
What does that have to do with GW2?
I clicked on the picture and zoomed in. The black rectangle you see is actually a Guild Wars 2 poster in a shadow.
They have haws which are delicious. Try taking a bite out of your nearest asura if you don’t believe!
Sure, go ahead. See what happens. ~bares asura teeth~
On a side note, I have to hand it to everyone in this thread for keeping it fun and light hearted.

Wow, that’s a huge brush you’re painting with.
Voting for hands, I have an Asuran engi, and he can operate pistols and rifles with his hands, hold and drop bombs, utilize grenades, fire a mortar…
That is enough proof for me, can’t so these things with claws.
But… Charr can do all these things, don’t they have claws/paws?
:)
I’ve always liked the fight, especially when he crashes.
Then again, I’m not one of those that “stands in the stack area and press 1”, I actually run around and fight other things, melt the ice pillars, watch the ledges, etc.
Plus, the fight music is really good.
Yes, I’ve been waiting for this outfit as well. I really wonder why it wasn’t on sale when we went to Bitterfrost Frontier since it’s absurdly cold there.
Dropping the snowball again Anet.
They have hands. With claws. And teeth. Many teeth.
Many shark-like teeth.
Hmm..I can’t imagine a centaur ever letting a human ride it, unless it was one of those peaceful centaurs in Dry Top.
We would need to get that half-animal’s permission? O.o
I thought cowboy armor comes with the right to ride horses or horse equivalents.
Well, if I were an enterprising centaur, I would charge 1 gold every 10 minutes. I wouldn’t wear one of those saddles either.
Oh, no money? No problem! You’ll just have to ride au natural.
(although I hear some of you humans are into that sort of thing)
Not to derail the discussion, but … who’s actually farming Mithril?!
People like me (and others posted above me) use mithril for various things. I actually do daily ascended crafting that uses 50 mithril ingots a day.
Even if I wasn’t doing the crafting, I’m the type of player that doesn’t pass up any node. If its there, I’m gathering it no matter what it is.
You’re already level 80, stay human. My ranger is an asura if that makes you feel better.
As is my ranger, who I absolutely adore.
(she secretly wishes she could ride her pet, which is far larger than she is)
Hmm..I can’t imagine a centaur ever letting a human ride it, unless it was one of those peaceful centaurs in Dry Top.
Agreed.
I’ve actually been patiently waiting for the Arctic Explorer outfit to come back into rotation. The last time it was released was mid December of last year, which is confusing because wouldn’t it have been a good idea to bring that outfit back when Cracking the Ice was released?
(the above is assuming that I didn’t somehow miss the sale of that item recently. I’m on vacation and away from my PC to do a proper search.)
I’ve been treating it, especially with one character who loves reading about history since she’s in the Priory, as if she’s reading about those events. She’s read about how Zhaitan was defeated, and is now reading about the events leading up to the Pact’s assault on Mordremoth (she hasn’t been to the Heart of Thorns maps yet).
I think this approach works for her because whenever I read a book, I find myself placed right there in the action, even though I’m not there.
Asura definitely dominate my character slots, they really are my favorite race.
I’m not sure I can pick a favorite, there are so many! Remember Smatti in Blacktide Coast who’s searching for treasure with two beer obsessed norn? Hilarious!
Having recently read Edge of Destiny so it’s fresh in my mind, the above posters are correct, the female norn are killed instead of corrupted.
My favorite is… no back item.
Oh sure, many of them have really cool designs, some have wonderful animations, some have funky and fun colors.
But… I don’t like how limited they are in blending with the rest of the skins. They tend to lock one into a narrow set of armor + color combinations.
Back when, erm, back skins were harder to obtain (and well before Dragon Hunters existed), I did like using a quiver with my guardian, because it was wonderfully anachronistic.
However, for now, I prefer to hide the back
As a minimalist, I prefer to hide back items as well. Only my necromancer shows her Shadow of Grenth.
Well that’s…disappointing. :/
I’d much rather RP it with another player, than have it pre-scripted by an NPC.
It certainly makes it more…unpredictable that way.
So, a guild mate and I had a discussion the other day regarding asura. One theory said that asura have hands due to not having pads and claws, while the other theory said that their digits were pointy enough, and that they only had four digits on each hand/paw.
So which is it that the asura have, hands, paws, or a combination of both?
Discus!
