Your skin will wrinkle and your youth will fade, but your soul is endless.
Seems like an awful lot of work to hold a weapon in your one hand while dancing.
When characters dance, or exhibit other emotes, do they have weapons (pom-pom weapon-skin) in hand?
Nooope!
Negative.
Nein.
and No.
~sigh~ So much for 11 months of peace in this thread.
We all play Skyrim……
Uhh…no, we do not all play that game. Please put that generalizing paintbrush down.
Also, not all of us are this…… bloodthirsty. I certainly don;t see how it will improve the game.
While I did do The Box™, I’m glad it’s over and won’t come back for another year. I can focus on my regular gathering and crafting again.
I actually witnessed, in Rata Sum, someone jumping into the middle of a music group (who sounded great I might add) with one of the new metal SAB boombox and laughing at everyone trying to ask them to stop.
I just don’t understand human behavior sometimes.
Nope. It’s stuff that talks only, from what I understand. Chatter, not sounds.
~facedesks~
Alchemy….does this work on The Dreamer?
~crosses fingers while typing~
You can fish in your guild hall. Just put down a Basic Chair next to the water (both guild halls have water) and pretend fish to your hearts content.
Snips? Is that you?
I don’t just use Applied Development Lab because I have a lot of asura characters, I also use it because it’s the easiest for home instance farming.
Because Anet wants you to buy more bank tabs and bag slots, which, incidentally, bag slots are on sale today for 20% off.
Don’t you want to support Anet by buying more bag spaces?
Then why can I only have 14 bank slots total? I’d love to buy more, but alas, no can do…
Technical/coding limitations I believe. I’m sure someone more knowledgeable than I can confirm or deny this.

I leave home early (5am-ish) to go to work, just so I don’t have to deal with other people and traffic during my 11 miles drive.
I usually wear over-the-ear headphones as I do my work, so I don’t have to listen to my co-workers. I don’t hate them, I actually like most of them, and we all get along great, but they’re rather distracting at times.
I hate phone calls, even with family. Text messaging is my usual form of communication.
I go to the store around 6am on the weekends, just so I don’t have to deal with other people. I just want to get my stuff and go back home as soon as possible.
In game, I usually keep to myself. I generally have map chat turned off. In groups events, or at the bank teller, I do my best to not be covered up by another player. Of course, it’s not always possible to avoid, but it’s just too close for comfort. I get bothered when someone else is jumping with me in jumping puzzles.
There have been times when a mesmer has dropped down and activated a portal for me in jumping puzzles. I stopped and waypointed out, just so I wouldn’t have to interact with them. I know I probably looked like a jerk, but it really wasn’t my intention to be like that. I just wanted to be left alone.
I don’t even talk that much on the forums, and usually they’re just one-liners.
All that being said, I am part of a small guild, and we’re all rather close knit, talk and role play daily with each other. This truly is an amazing game to allow this much diversity.
I’m glad you two understand what the OP is saying. I’ve read it twice and I still don’t know what the point is.
I think the important take away is that IT JUST DOESN’T MATTER!
(Yeah it was just word salad to me as well)
Word salad…I’ve saving that one for future use.
It’s not a retreat if you’re just advancing to the rear.
I’m a PvE player myself, to the point if I’m in WvW and I see an opposing player I’ll start trembling and I’ll waypoint out. That said, EotM isn’t that bad. Get in a zerg and kill doors for a while. Also, you can do WvW dailies like kill a veteran mob or stand in a Monument circle to claim it.
As a PvE only player myself, whose medical condition leaves my hands trembling under high stress/anxiety/strong emotions, I dreaded World vs. World, and was pretty upset when they changed the requirements for getting the Gift of Battle.
However, I managed to complete the reward track in Edge of the Mists by taking boosters, following a zerg, and even getting some help from understanding guildmates.
Thank alchemy that’s over with. Thanks for that unnecessary stress Anet.
sigh Yet another AFK farming thread? Merge please?
Yes, as long people perceive this as a problem, they will post about it, and people will see this as a problem as long as they see people AFK farming, which seems to be everywhere.
The leather farm works fairly well if you intend to use the leather.
Which I do, and that leather farm is working great for me.
Since it was introduced, I haven’t bothered looking for leather on the Trading Post.
As someone that started playing a necromancer lately I have a bit of feedback here. Please understand I am not excusing any AFK farming or whatnot that is actually going on, just pointing this out: I sometimes go AFK as I do with any of my characters for a few minutes to do something, and when I return this character is more likely than any of my others to have a message telling me I was reported for being a farmer. So it seems like people see a necro with a gaggle of minions AFK and immediately assume something nefarious is up. Not accusing anyone in this thread of doing the same, I just want to point out that some of the reports are based on false assumptions. Now this could be because necros are the primary offender and as such are more suspect, but still.
One necromancer being afk for a couple minutes somewhere in the open world isn’t a problem. It’s where necromancers/rangers are standing around in the same spot for days, weeks, months on end, is where the concern is.
Not sure if you know but just in case you don’t, if you would like to avoid getting nasty messages, when you’re about to be afk, open guild panel, click Go to Guild Hall. You’ll be transported there, safe from harm. Then, when you’re doing being afk, click Leave Guild Hall, you’ll be transported to the spot you left.
I am in PST. I won’t get off work until after reset time.
So I am SOL I guess
That’s 5pm (I’m also a PSTer). Hope you can make it.
Eh, I’m fine with it the way it is.
For the record, I’m 48, and have a condition that affects muscle strength and response times. I can’t even PvP without my hands shaking.
If u ever want help with any Jumping Puzzle related content let me know. I have mesmers parked at all sorts of hard to reach places. I do it for free. Look me up.
Thanks for the offer, but because of my condition, I make a conscious effort to complete jumping puzzles on my own. They’re actually like physical therapy for my slow, aging fingers, as is GW2 overall, including SAB Tribulation.

Now if only we could get a patch like this for real life.
Huh? Guild Wars is real life.
I keep the Endless Miniature Tonic in a shared inventory slot. It has no real value, but I absolutely love that tonic and use it quite often.
I’m just entertained by “decided to crash the servers”. Like, I’m imagining some support person feeling bored, and typing “serverctl crash” into the console, then laughing…
(yeah, that’s … “decided” is definitely the wrong word here.)
I’m picturing Controller Jacobs pulling the power cord for the landing strip lights in Airplane!
“Just kidding!”
The joke was that there was no joke.
Brilliant!
This game isn’t worth spending money on anymore.
Funny, I find myself spending money on the game through gem cards at least once a month. ~shrug~
Had this happen to me as well..
Stood under the Toad while in the Upside Down, when he belly flopped I thankfully died, then went right back in and killed the evil King Toad Map Hacker!Frustrating for me? Sure, for a few moments.. Ruined? Not by a long shot. They should drop some tokens or baubles down there for an Easter Egg.
I see your reference mastery goes to 11.

You’re a Champion…and you’re quitting? o.0
I judge height by my shadow.
However, my PC can run at ultra graphics where I can actually see my shadow. I’m guessing players with lower graphic settings don’t see a shadow at all?
Anet: But we do give you skirts….with pants!
Personally, I don’t want the Dreamer sound deleted, I just want it so I never have to hear that kittening sound again without have to mute the entire game.
Wow…
“AFK farmers are doing everyone a service!”
These excuses.
I, too, loved Halloween in “Old Lion’s Arch” in Guild Wars 1.
Also, what IWN said.
Well Fleshy, you certainly fed chum to the sharks with this one.
When you log , waypoint or use an Asuran gate, You go behind the scenes like at a theme park where there are lounges. and all sorts of amenities including bathrooms where you can take a break. While it seems only seconds betwwen screens is actually hours in the alt dimension.
I like to think that when you waypoint or use an asura gate, the current “you” gets destroyed and a new replica is created on the other end… just minus the impending bowel movements.
As a mainly asura player, I find that this makes the most sense, which also explains the ability to “waypoint” upon our inevitable deaths.
I should have made my previous post clearer.
This commander was standing in the middle of all the AFKers at Malchors, with all his minions out, and not doing a thing until one of the other AFKers was downed/killed. It was a squad (presumably) of 7~8 AFKers. He wasn’t just running by and being helpful to a random stranger.
I just witnessed a commander at the Malchor’s Leap site rezzing the other AFKers.
~facepaws~
I understand that there’s actually a “Defend the fort” farm that happens in Silverwastes now, where an organized zerg actually runs around between the four forts (or maybe just Indigo, Blue, and Amber?), stick around long enough to defend it, then move on to the next one.
I’m assuming this is to get as many shovels as possible.
May we should ask Wild-Eye Miller, he seems to know things.
I think you need to get out more.
Well, hold on there, let’s not go to extremes!
You were told wrong.
Doesn’t get much better for Asura.
Actually, I think that asura example is rather cute.
I’m 200% not biased.
~don’t look at my signature~
A male charr in a mini skirt…
I think I’ll pass.
How about if you add high heel shoes? A nice strappy set of high heels can really make the difference to an outfit.
Don’t forget to add the Princess Wand.
Asura are waaaay ahead of you OP.
~as usual~
Feat: an achievement that requires great courage, skill, or strength.
I didn’t know what op was talking about either. ~shrugs~
It seems a few of the posters above need to brush up on their reading comprehension. JAFW isn’t asking for the fish to be removed from the game nor is she being overly sensitive and complaining. I’ve never known JAFW to behave in such a way.
Hmmmm
What would be your guess for this years April 1st joke? I have loved everyone so far all the way back to the ones in GW1. So not sure what would be fun to do or play now. Maybe something the Aviator thing again? Maybe switch genders again? Maybe switch professions this time? How about stick figures again? Here are the ones from past years for GW2
https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/April_Fools'_DayIf I was ANET I wouldn’t do anything. Recall the aviator issue this community tried to create? It’s not worth the hassle.
Brought to you by the same community that complained about free shared inventory slots.
complained about free shared inventory slots? did that really happen?
Yes, it really happened. Sorry I can’t provide a link right now, I’m at work. (shhh!)
But I do remember that happening.
I have no problem farming for materials, but I’d rather not spend 90% if my game time doing boring and brainless farming runs. Leather farm, silver wastes, etc. it’s just not fun or the least bit enjoyable.
This is entirely subjective. Boring to you is fun to others. I’ve been to both of these locations and there are always a lot of people having a good time of it.
