I don’t know what you’re talking about. Players are constantly harvesting in Southsun, and we’ve been killing the Karka Queen at least twice per day for the past week in Sorrow’s Furnace.

Is it just me, or has something just like this also recently just started happening with the treb on khylo? I find myself getting on and off of it without hitting F while in the middle of a heated battle to defend it. It’s extremely annoying.

I used to have that problem, try disabling “Right click to interact” in the options menu.

Yeah we think its a lag related issue regarding the Skyhammer portal as it is not reproducible internally.

Then please test it externally. This is a very frequent bug that can (and often does) destroy a team. No other teleporter in the game has this problem (that I’ve seen).

As for the treb, that one is also very tricky tech wise. Basically if you are turning the treb when someone attacks you off of it, it will continue to rotate. So.. ya.. get off the treb when someone is coming for you! For the time being we have made a small tweak internally so that the trebuchet will only rotate 90 degrees instead of 180 degrees.

Trebs in WvW have this problem too. It can be devastating when a counter-treb knocks you off while you’re turning and renders your treb useless (because it won’t stop turning) long enough for the enemy treb to destroy it.

No, you’re fine, assuming you actually play with and/or talk to your wife, and aren’t also sending gold to a bunch of random people.

It’s not impossible. We’ve been opening it about once per day on Sorrow’s Furnace for the past week. You just need enough players and a little coordination.

I accidentally stumbled upon this thread and it made me a bit concerned. So if a person A wants to be a commander or needs money for some other reason and A’s friend/guildie called B has the money to help and WANTS to help, can this be incorrectly interpreted by ANet as an RMT transaction and lead to a ban? I know I’m a bit paranoid and also this is a different case than the one described in the thread, but since, as someone said, “the only thing they [ANet] can see is step C” which is “the seller sends you the gold in the game”, how can the mentioned friends/guildies prove themselves innocent?

If you have prior interaction with the person sending you the gold, there’s nothing suspicious. What’s suspicious here is that the money is coming from a random account with very few achievement points, which indicates that the account is either very new, or not being used to play. An account that is simply very new wouldn’t normally have 105g, especially to loan out. You should only be concerned about this if you are involved in RMT.

Is this happening to anyone else? Has anyone tried accepting a chest without the laurels and gold? If so, did you get them anyway?

I just got 10,500 achievement points, but when I clicked on the UI chest, the rewards I had available to accept were an Achievement Chest and +1% Magic Find. The 2 gold and 1 laurel that were supposed to be included (according to my hero window) were not there.

As of writing this, I haven’t accepted the reward yet, so I hope to hear a response soon as to whether it is just a graphical glitch and I can open it now, or if I should wait.

Fingers crossed that we get a fix in the next major update.

Now that we’re more than 2 weeks into the color change, has anyone gotten used to it or does everyone still hate it?

If anyone else knows of any that I missed, please post them and I’ll add them to the list.

But yeah, crafting at all right now is a bit silly, all prices are inflated due to the Ascended Rush. I’m just gathering materials in the meantime while I wait for it to go back down.

Now it’s 8 (400 is 8/10 of 500) for three of them. so now you can only get a total of 74 levels from crafting to 400, and 6 more from crafting three of them to 500. They also added scrolls that jump you straight to level 20. We have enough people who got their characters to level 80 in an hour without having to play anything but the tutorial, we don’t need more.

Would it be possible that instead of simply reducing the longevity of the next levels, you could divide them in two parts?

I’m thinking of just making a lot of alternate paths and more secrets. That way a casual player can run through the main path with ease and those who want tougher content can opt into it.

Just remember there’s that all baubles in 1 run achiev…

Achievements should complement content, not limit it.

Here is a suggestion, please create third mode… like infantile, but with the principle of “help on demand” rather than having it shoved in my face. Being someone who had 0 need for infantile mode before the notorious water sprouts in W2 Z1 I would really appreciate the ability to get helping hand when I hit a brick wall not have to choose to either go through the level on rails, or keep slamming my head against that wall.

Funny, I brought this idea up a couple weeks ago. I think I was told we couldn’t do it for some technical reason. I’ll ask again.

Please not a fourth mode. Maybe an option to change to infantile mode at the last checkpoint would address this concern though, but there would have to be no going back.

It probably took longer to enter it into the bug tracking software than it would take to fix. You guys have known about the bugged HoM icons for over a year, so I can’t really interpret this to mean that we’ll get a fix any time soon.

We have plenty of groups in type 3 (Inquest, Nightmare Court, Separatists) but we don’t have enough interesting individuals is the problem. Canach would fit that description perfectly, but the game hasn’t told his story clearly enough for most players.

Why does it get removed? I understand removing speed, damage, armor, and regeneration boosters, but none of the bonuses from the birthday booster would give players an unfair advantage.

People who already got 10 laurels for the monthly are seriously complaining that they don’t get another 10 for it being bugged and giving them extra rewards?

I don’t want to live in this world anymore.

Josh, there’s one thing I really hope to see in TM, and that is quick and forgiving retries.

Queen’s Gauntlet made solo players pay to waypoint down and run all the way back up, Not So Secret made solo players waypoint out and start over completely with no form of checkpoint. If we’re going to be dying constantly, please make respawning as quick and painless as possible. A great example of this is Super Hexagon.

I think you’re mixing up cause and effect. The prices are rising because other players think ascended weapons are going to require charged quartz too.

I still dont understand why you can charge only one per day. I mean… it’s already limited due to the fact that theres only the nodes in home instances left, so why couldnt they just remove that additional limitation? You have to admit, it’s really kind of silly.

That achievement seems to be for a previous month, which is why you have progress on it but can’t continue it and it doesn’t show in this month’s monthly achievements. It shouldn’t be showing up in your Nearly Completed column though, that’s definitely a bug.

I know PvP weapons haven’t gotten much love since release, so I figure we should let Anet know what the problems are. They fixed the problems with the PvP Fiery Dragon Sword and PvP Gnarled Walking Stick that I reported, so I’ll stay optimistic.

LOL, I don’t agree at all. It would be a huge unjustified nerf to those sigils. Those sigils do nothing after they’ve reached a full stack. It’s just as if you had an empty sigil slot after that. Whereas other sigils continue to do their thing. Compare the constant +5% damage sigil to the volatile +250 Power which disappears when you’re down.

How can you say that providing +250 power is doing “nothing”?

It seems Gendarran Fields/Timberline Falls/some Ascalon maps repeat way more often than the other maps.

Me and two rl friends decided to take shift on calling invasion map this weekend(9am-11pm), and two of us never manage to get completion(both missing Dredgehaunt Cliffs).

Now I am totally regretting helping my friend with the playhouse at the only time that map pop for me last week. ;(

Dredgehaunt is the only one I’m missing too. I’m not too worried about it though, the event hasn’t even been going for a week and we still have more than a week left.

I really hope that we get actual expansions. Living story is great to have, but it shouldn’t replace expansions. For the things that we would expect from an expansion (on par with the size of GW2 at launch), players should e able to take things at their own pace rather than be forced to keep pace with the living story.

Also, I buy gems to tell Anet to “keep up the good work”, not “you’re doing enough already, don’t try for more”. If gem sales success is what’s causing them to think that they shouldn’t make expansions, then I’ll think twice about buying gems in the future.

That post needs a slight bit of clarification.
I used about 1m worth of jugs + drips right after I downloaded the patch. I’ve gotten around 400k worth in the mail. That is clearly a huge difference. The post doesn’t make it clear why there would be such a big discrepancy. Is the amount in the mail supposed to be the ‘extras’ I would have gotten if I had used them with a boost?

After the patch but before the hotfix, karma was not affected by modifiers and gave 1.5x the original value. So that puts your original base value at about 1m*(2/3). The maximum karma modifiers possible can give +95% value, so we get…

1,000,000 * (2/3) * 1.95 = 1,300,000

…which leaves you 300,000 short of what you could have potentially gotten. You said that Anet sent you ~400,000 in the mail, all of which can be affected by modifiers, so we get…

400,000 * 1.95 – 300,000 = 480,000

…which means that you got ~480,000 more than you should have. That’s not something that you should be complaining about.

Actually, that’s something those of us who didn’t use our karma should be complaining about.
