Serves you right for electing a human over Charr. Had Evon been elected LA would’ve been fixed by now, and free grilled asura offered to visitors.
is it available again?
a 3-mini pack containing the 3 orders’s mentors – Tybalt and the 2 other guys ( :P )
Trahearn sword skin
a bank node/npc for home instance (yeah battleground blah blah blah i want one in my home instance)
long stilts (like they have in the circus) as a travel mount/toy

Flint Rifleblaze.
Flint ‘cause he’s hard as stone and will start a fire whenever possible
Iron Legion, Rifle war band. Blaze – ’cause he can shot and reload his rifle so fast, you think theres a blaze of fire coming your way
i understand the hatred after the gods interfered in the war, but what made them hate each other before that?
mine feels that they perform adequately as rank-and-file soldiers, and are best used as arrow-fodder before the legions come to do the real job. a human leader/officer is out of the question. he will prefer to follow a Gladium before he follows a human. overall, doesn’t hate humans, they are ok to hang out with, but not the kind of crowd he’d get mixed with. this leads to him hating combat directed by a human officer, and if such occasion arose, most likely will convince his war band to… erm… make a “contingency” plan…
i read the wiki about all the races, and felt that the Charr’s background and story was best. i also really liked how they base themselves on very tight-knit war bands. as a bonus, i got – what i think is – the best starting zone in the game.
come to think about it, why isn’t there a discount on gem purchases (with RL money, not gold)? LotRO (as an example) gives you a certain % of your gem purchase as a bonus. i think it should be incorporated in GW2 – like, when you buy 1600 for $20, you get 1800, or 2000 gems, and so on for the other options available.
As phys says, they won’t ever discount the gems, but they DO discount the items you can purchase with gems. The trick here is to buy gems when they are cheap/you have the funds, and then sit on them until the items you want go on sale (usually around anniversaries or real life events that are associated with sales).
while that is true, most of the times its not the items that you want.
300 bags more. i got Zuzu.
A.net, couldn’t you make the RNG more feasible? it can still be low chances, but people have been opening bags in tens of thousands… thats a bit too much, don’t you think?
or instead of putting them in bags, put them in lich/count chests so it means you got them after putting in some effort, not just spending gold on TP for bags.
Idk, but mithril ore has gone up from 27c to 40c, elder wood is stable.
500 more bags... No mini. But apperantly they drop charged quartz crystals (got just the one)
This is one of the few miniatures I actually do wait to collect, but RNG hasn’t favored me yet. On a side note, the amount of bags opened by some people is crazy OoO I had about 400 and I thought I was extremely lucky and was quite pleased but now I see 400 is nothing. Didn’t get anything of any value except enough candy for the 20 slots bag (which is what I was aiming for) and a candy corn miniature.
We need to keep track if they actually revert back and not just made a fancy press release to lower the flames
I guess you just never have been licked by a Quaggan.
This is the end, humans. The Legions march to Queensdale. Make sure to equip “Retreat!” .
I would really like to see Tengu as playable race.
As far as weapons go, I want 2h axes and pikes.
For a class I do not know. Maybe some sort of heavy armour that has a long casting time on his javelin skills which allows him to have a companion do teal with mobs until they get into close range and then switch to a 2hAxe or 2hGS to fight melee. Unable to use bows, pistols it rifles.
Because it’s fun, really. I do like crafting in this game; I do enjoy WvW and EotM; and I do enjoy explorer mode in dungeons – even though I did most of the several times. Some of the experience is the interaction with other people – you never know who you might end up with, and sometimes it’s the people that make the dungeon fun (even if you wipe).
So yeah, GW2 isn’t a perfect game, and still needs some polishing, but the base of it is good.
Personally, I’m more inclined to a system that adjusts the loot table according to what player gets. Let’s say that you start your first Boss fight with the same chances at an exotic you have now. If you get one – great; if not, than the chances of you getting an exotic increases until you get an exotic drop, at which point the “counter” resets.
You could also implement some sort of “real karma”, that alters these chances in favor of the player for any succesful event they participated in. It doesn’t have do be a big bump in the numbers, but should increase the chance at an exotic faster than what it would’ve done if you just got loot. I think this will also solve all the intentioned event failing, as players will have an incentive to complete them.
P.S: there should be a tracker to anything from rare to exotic and ascended, with the starting chances adjusted, of course.
P.S2: Items like precursor should not ‘drop from any mob’. They should be limited to champions/dungeons’ bosses/event bosses and have their drop chance altered to reflect that. I mean, come on! How can you loot a GS from a moa???
I’m shooting for a full stack of Siege Commander spoons. Up to 7 so far.
Do Tequatl instead; his spoon is very close to a “sure drop”.
i call BS, ive done teq 25 times since i unlocked the spoon collection, and not once has it dropped. gotten the stupid rune of the sunless everytime though
i got it on the 2nd Tequatl event after the achievement update. ever since, almost everybody who’ve i played with got this spoon over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. it became a joke, you get tons of greens and the only exotic is the spoon

you could try, just remember what happened the last time you tried fighting Charr… :P
Cow/Cat hybrid FTW!!!!1111
i totally forgot about that Charr grave. i guess that for the Charr, its 100% based on the situation. if they’re in war (which is apparently, most of the time) they’d burn their dead; when its “calmer” they’d burry them. this kinda explains why there are so few Charr graveyards.
I disagree with that, 15 laurels are way way too low for something like that, considering you are getting 2 gifts of exploration. 100 sounds more like it.
I would like to get a laurel (1) when I complete an area, like some have suggested. If this happens the aforementioned price should be bumped to 200.
i think you’re in a minority here. i think you get pretty good stuff.
rare/exotic gear, chest keys, crafting mats, etc. these are all excellent stuff to get, especially when you can get them as many times as you want (using a different character). i got most of my orichalcum ore that way.
tools were 800 when they were soulbound. Now that they are account bound they are 1000.
Anyway, some sort of candy corn would be nice. I think that imersion-wise, it’d be best if it were the logging tool which would produce a “candy bag” like the hidden-bags that give gems.
Also, the laurel vendors currently sell rocket, candy and quarts nodes for your home instance at 25laurels+15G.
yes thanks for turning miniatures that i valued and was proud of into common trash. Guess being a dedicated player from the start just gets me punished. What next re-releasing the first Halloween skins?
QQ much?
it has scraps, not full tickets, unless they changed it recently
I opened 15 last week and got 1 full ticket and 5 scraps
Yes, it’s really annoying. What is it, like 5-7 items before you get the error message?
Finish exotic collection and buy they minis I want. Also, buy mats for ascended armour.
I agree, they are really well done. I only wish though, that they’d be also offered individually as the ghost is the one I’m after.
It would trivialize a lot of content if you could just knock them off a ledge. I think that’s the problem. Oh, look a champion, he looks tough, let me just use one skill to knock him off and kill him.
Anet figures after the first time you are knocked off, perhaps you will be more careful the next time around. Maybe throw on stability while doing melee damage, maybe range from a distance, I dunno I’m just spitballin’ here.
champions/bosses could have stability, most of them do. Anyway, he spawned and knocked me over very quickly, I barely had time to react
Yeah, I figured as much but wasn’t sure.
I’m not sure if they are new or re-introduced, but it hardly matters. Seriously, they are bad. And for something that costs 700gems they are very bad. Unimaginative, uninspiring and down right lame. The executioner and bloody prince are basically the same outfit, and share too many similarities with the mad king’s (though the latter has the fiery effect) and the witch’s. You really dropped the ball with these one. They can’t even be compared to the other outfits available which surpass them in terms of design and details – and this is coming from someone who doesn’t even like most of them! And we saw what you are capable of with the ceremonial armour outfit which was intricate with great details, color areas (the places that dyes change) and overall design.
They are so unimaginative they should be tossed into some 200gems bundle called “outfits, general” with the description “show your boring personality across Tyria!”.
i was doing the JP in Ashford plains the other day (the one near the Bandits camp). i came almost to the end, when the npc that spawns there knocked me over the edge and i died.
so besides being frustrating, i was thinking why isn’t it possible to knock mobs over? every time i try this, they seem to hit an invisible barrier that prevents them from falling. how ’bout some equality, A.net??? gravity should affect mobs too.
hey,
i came across several human graveyards, plaques and monuments across Tyria. are the humans the only ones who burry their dead? i don’t recall seeing any Charr graveyard.
What you do every night, pinky
Was in general discussion.
I wouldn’t have started this discussion for any other races’ armour; it’s just that the Norn t3 looks so awesome! It is by far, the best looking set of armour in game (I my opinion, anyway). But 190G? That’s just way over what I can swing right now
That’s because they are 1 ticket each. The other, going for 5-7 are much, much more expensive.
really? but what about vitality, toughness and healing? id thought it was they other way around: zerk for solo play, the others for group
Ok, I’ve been running s+s/hammer, and it’s quite fun and more useful than GS for dungeon teams. My only strife is hit3 of 1st skill. it takes too much time. You gotta see the gaurdian struggles to lift a hammer he jumped with a second ago, and then land the hit.
It should definitly be reduced.
Next up – a staff. I’ll try experimenting with it and see what’s what.
As far as the shield goes – I know it’s not the best OH item, but a guardian without a shield??? I mean, c’mone!
BTW, which gear should I get in terms of stats? Now I have a mix-n-match between items that are soldier, some are zerk. Maybe knight/cleric would be better? Or should I go for a complete set for each task (set for suppord/defense and a set for offense?
Why is there such a huge gap in price between t1/t2 and t3 cultural armour? T1 and t2 are pretty cheap, and suddenly the there’s thus huge bump. Anyway, it’s cultural. It should be discounted.
/rant of a norn who cannot afford t3
if they do introduce raids, i hope that there would be some sort of scaling. not all of us have big enough guilds to field 40-man groups, regardless of guild size. maybe start from 10-man with increments of 2?
Thanks for the advice. I’ll try rolling with game or staff and see where it gets me.
mostly dungeons, with some WvW here and there
Hey,
I’m looking for a good weapons combo for my gaurdian. Thing is, I know mace is probably the best thing out there for a support gaurdian, but I hate maces. What other weapons types are suitable for the job? Currently I’m running with GS/S+Shield
The least they could do is adjust number of AP given and the different tasks for them. I mean, come on – 1,000,000 dolyaks killed? How is that even possible? They should look into these ridiculous tasks (especially from WvW).
Yeah it sucks, but what can you do? Until they introduce mounts or provide all classes with passive boost from skills (not traits, which is just a terrible idea). There need to be some sort of fast travel; WP do not cover all area, so you have these long gaps you need to walk. Take EotM as an example: you take a jump at the wrong angle and fall to your death – and now you have to cross the entire map on foot to rejoin your team. They can set mounts to vanish as you enter combat just like the broom from gem store.
Many of the non-BL weapons have good, clean designs. Take the hero weapons from WvW, for example, if you want some nice looking weapons without any effects. Guild commendation weapons have the chrome-like effect as well, if that’s more your forte.
Yep the WvW weapons are the best looking ones imo. The Tempest are ok, though the GS kinda reminds me of the ambrite one. I had 2 tickets so got one for me and the other I sold.
The lowest listing price for any item is limited by its vendor value – we all know that. But why set such a limit, when you can put “buy orders” for less than vendor price? Take thick leather as an example: there’s a ton of it listed for the minimum (vendor) price which is 9C and yet, all the “buy orders” are for 8C. Wouldn’t it be better to also have that limit apply to “buy orders” as well? At the current situation I just vendor all the thick leather I find. Mithril ore is also heading that way, and I’m sure there are a lot more items that are in limbo like the above ones.
Conversion rate would have to be very high. You can get a ton of badges from EotM, and a low exchange rate would just allow people to get everything with a fraction of the effort those who do the dungeons put in. It should be something like 500 badges for 60 tokens.
