Aetherblades has permanent content.
I am not talking about opening new zones, but to have something in the old zones that will give a reminder of the things that happened.
Aetherblade will have new content in old zones.
Actually I think this is fair. Engineers would get a special kit skin, Mesmers could get a special shatter effect, Necromancers could get different shroud effects, Elementalist could get different elemental effects (instead of the mini-wrist bracelet), Guardians and Warriors and Thieves, I have no idea.
Know who can edit the wiki? Anybody. That is why the wiki is wrong. Don’t you think it is just a little curious that the hair stylist contract is the only one with no stock, ever?
Because people used theirs… and the droprate was something like one in 100,000 iirc.
They only dropped from the wintersday gem boxes. That is why there hasn’t been one on the tp for so long. I have one and yes, you do get the special colors.
Your information is very, very inaccurate.
All the permanent contracts are from the Black Lion Chests AND Wintersday Gem Boxes. During Wintersday the Black Lion Chests had 2x drop rate on permanent contracts.
If you want more information, look at the wiki.
Take current achievement points given by achievement. Divide by 2. That’s how many times you’ve done it.
AGAIN people try to act smart and don’t read IDONT WANT GUESSES so I posted to get an answer from the people that implemented the system code. So why did you post w/o reading…….I would rather the post stay completely blank and unanswered than having random people guess or post things like above. It was posted for a fact based answer not guesses please read above.
So you’re not asking the players, but you’re asking the developers, which, in accordance to the rules of the forums is not allowed.
Do not engage in staff call-outs. Using the words “ArenaNet” or any staff member’s name will not expedite the answer to your query.
Do not post petitions, “I demand an answer” threads, conspiracy threads, or comments about circumventing the rules.
If people are being accidentally kicked from your guild because of misclicks, then you should really set the bar higher for what officers who can kick are doing.
Mesmers have very dynamic builds. I was just in a dungeon where my build was changing at every major fight and even in between the major fights.
Not just my skills, but my weapon sets, my traits, and I’d even swap weapons as I was casting. (Temporal Curtain —> Equip Torch for Invis —> Run through Curtain for speed).
Mesmer, Engineer, Guardian.
Sorry that you never saw the potential of vanquishing. Your method would just be world completion on the same character over and over and over again, with no end to the loop. Vanquishing would be a much harder goal that, once achieved, would most likely leave the player feeling fulfilled in regards to PvE.
If he’s a Mesmer and he doesn’t re-do his scepter auto attack fast enough, he’ll lose the chain. But other than that, just make sure you have the enemy targeted in the first place and just press 1.
I’m waiting for Hardmode (instanced) versions of maps with no respawning mobs so you can Vanquish again.
Is your mailbox full? Try clearing mail even if it doesn’t say it’s full.
Or you could go into WvW and slap yaks.
SC doesn’t change based on how many illusions you shatter. You can shatter one, or 3 and you will still remove 1 condition.
With that in mind, you only need it in conjunction with DE OR IP.
Yes. It will work.
I like this idea, but I believe that it should, similar to other Guild Items, be purchased by the player and then reflect the current represented guild (if no guild is represented, it will be Default Dye for the item).
The guild, of course, would have to research it. Once researched, they can set it similar to setting guild emblem (or, again, it could be the same as the guild emblem, but then you’d need a way of adding dyes to the guild emblem).
Mesmers in gw1 could so use swords. There was a build called illusion weaponry combined with flurry for a barrage of unblockable unnegatable damage.
And unreduced through most damage reduction means!
The reason why I included 4 Guild Dyes is because there are up to 4 different dye slots, and most guilds have 2+ colors for Primary/Secondary, but depending on the armor, you might want the secondary color to be put onto the 3rd or 4th dye slot, sometimes even the 1st dye slot.
It could just as easily be 2 colors.
I think, possibly, it should be 3 colors and the same colors used in the Guild Banner.
More weapons for each class
Not even more weapons, but just allowing classes to use more weapons (until all classes get all weapons).
You do, they’re just small footprints.
It’s not a dueling trait, though.
And I don’t say that as in “IT’S NOT IN DUELING, SO IT’S NOT DUELING HERRRRRRPPPPPP”
I say that as in:
This trait revolves around directly aiding (yourself and others). All of the traits with that in mind are in Inspiration.
Talk to Marjory or Kiel.
Keeping the Representatives in Lion’s Arch… if you know what I mean.
There is no hidden “Luck” stat. RNG is RNG, you can modify the tables that RNG goes through by increasing your Magic Find stat (only on Non-Chests!).
You could also do it in WvW to stop someone from being able to stomp you unless they had you targeted.
Re-iterating why it was hotpatched in, namely because this thread relates to WvW, yet everyones ignoring this point.
Also, the Shattered wings flap as if you’re on the ground (lying on fours, similar to a dragon).
The Holographic wings have a better flap animation for an upright player, but the Shattered wings feel like I’m trying to drift backwards or slow myself down. I can only imagine it looks right on a Charr running on the ground…
Aetherblades has permanent content.
So you’d have a dye color unlocked called, say, “Guild Dye 1-4”, and then you can place it where you want, and, in accordance to which Guild Dye color it is, you’ll get that color? I can see that, but I would also think that to do this, you’d need to save a dye itself to use as a Guild Dye and not simply have it unlocked for yourself.
I believe it only shows on people that are on your friends list (or possibly followers, not sure who has to add who).
I know this because you can tell peoples achievement points through the guild tab only if they’re active or on your friends list. From there, you can see if they move up with achievement points or not.
I’ve noticed this, also sometimes the Warlock’ll summon then stutter/come to a stop and just never attack.
You can also confuse a Warlock. If a player (or mob) runs towards the Warlock as their preparing to wind-up their attack (preparing to START casting), they will stutter backwards to get in position at a range and, if the mob or player moves just right, you can force them to stutter backwards and never attack. Of course, the actual player could just hit you.
Have you seen the whales?
It’s quite balanced, but most of the Mesmers in this thread can only see that they aren’t doing insane amounts of damage anymore.
Dont generalize.
As i said, sometimes it crits for 7500 (an insane amount if you ask me) and then 600 on the same mob.
Sometimes it eats people and sometimes they are barely touched by it. All those sometimes hurt me!
I do note that the 600 hits are awkward, but if you watch the videos of people posting where Berserkers do their Whirlwind, it looks like a different bug appearing where the Berserker will stop the spin after 1-2 vector sections instead of the intended 4 vectors.
Really? Tell me the secret because I have been waiting and waiting for more then a month now and have only been red in the upper corner of my WvW.
Would love to know how you changed from color’s.
New system relies on RNG to denote what team you are on. Trust me, I waited my 9 weeks to get 100% Map Completion. Once you stop doting on it, it comes by faster.
Or you could have invis weapon skins, but only allow weapons with those skins to be placed on offhand. Of course, that become a balance problem with Mesmers (not that I have a problem with that, being a tiny Asura wielding the smallest and most obscure possible weapons!)
I’d say +1 if it was accountbound.
This is actually a good method, I agreeeeeee.
Just tested, I was wrong.
I agree that stomping while invis is overly strong, but remember that they are using a precious skill (usually with a high cooldown) to guarantee that stomp.
With this new system, you should be able to get a new color a lot simpler than before. Personally, this past month, I’ve been every color.
Statistically speaking, you don’t have a 33% chance of being any specific color, but you do have a much higher chance than before (which was based on a lot of skill variables).
I might be wrong as I’m not really doing any math to come up with the 33% chance. It’s because off the top of my head, you have to calculate the variation variable on your neighboring world rankings and your own world rankings, then calculate the probability of you ending up as X color in a multitude of variations. In the end, I have no idea.
I, too, would like this. There are a few problems, namely what would your 4th and 5th weapon skills be, and if there are mainhand only, why not offhand only… etc, etc, etc.
I somehow never quite got the main issue, because the Berserker to me was never more than a Cripple application device for single targets. For AE it deals nice damage, but it’s also obviously better at AE, given the fact that it WWs.
I more mind how reliable the Warrior WW is. Seriously. It’s an AE skill, it feels to powerful for single targets.
Actually, the Warrior’s WW and the Phantasmal Berserker WW are both ridiculously strong. Most Phantasmal Berserkers are left alive, allowing them to strike 2-3 times in most cases (unless the Mesmer dies, which is a different problem with the Greatsword, namely that of only having 1 defensive skill on a high cooldown). 2-3 strikes of Phantasmal Berserker is enough to, assuming it dies at that point, allow you to re-cast it at around the time it dies. If your opponent IS killing your Phantasms, your main complaint shouldn’t be how much damage the Phantasms do.
The only difference is that Warrior’s can aim their WW and Phantasmal Berserkers just spray and pray them (at a much, much faster rate, might I add). It’s quite balanced, but most of the Mesmers in this thread can only see that they aren’t doing insane amounts of damage anymore.
GW1 had just as many problems (if not more) upon it’s release, in fact we’re getting a lot more than what GW1 had after 9 months of release.
No it didn’t! I was there! GW1 didn’t have a broken guild system on release, or broken skills and traits. There were bugs, for sure. But hell, I don’t even remember there being progression blockers in the story on release. GW2 had much bigger problems on its release.
You’re trying to line up the bugs. The game has progressed in much more than just aesthetics. GW2 does not have a broken guild system, nor are the traits/skills broken. Yes, they’re bugged, but so were skills in GW1. GW1 did have a few progression blockers due to some missions kitten out, forcing players to either re-do the entire instance or re-do the entire instance. If you want to actually line up the bugs, they line up pretty well, anyways.
I really don’t want to watch this video, however, because Kaaboose has a very bigoted point of view which usually reiterates.
You should watch the video, because he raises some very important points.
And what important points does he bring up? If they’re so important, you can explain them with words versus voices. I’d rather read than listen, anyways.
It’s becoming AoE condition removal.
Try making one and just running around for a bit. You can also just listen to the intro cinematic to make sure you’re okay with it.
There’s one… a Riding Broom for 250 gems in the gem store (~$3.12, but you have to get Gems with at least $10 unless you use gold).
Currently, 250 gems is ~9g.
The friendly AI would have to be buffed because most players don’t venture forth from Queensdale or their dungeon areas. Also, there would have to be incentive to make people leave Lion’s Arch/WvW to do it.
