Is it in the “Item’s I’m selling” tab.
I have ran into it sometimes where I will try to sell something and it winds up somehow posting to Sell instead of instant sell… Sometimes even for quite a large difference than what I originally posted it as.
This is not a bug either because by “Match highest Buyer” you’re actually creating a listing to automatically process the buy order matching the unit price. It becomes a listing instead of an instant sale (partially or totally) if there are more units listed than ordered. This can also happen while someone else fulfilled the buy order.
Buy orders are nothing else than “buy the item automatically at that count with my provided funds once there’s going to be a listing at that price or below.”
I avoided this issue entirely by setting sound quality to 1 tick right of “faster” and mixed buffer to “most stable”. Some sounds might be delayed or not be played at all, but at least the game won’t crash.
The crash occured inside the DirectX 9 API, not inside GW2, so it’s more likely a driver issue.
You are using an AMD GPU. If you updated your GPU driver, try an older one as newer Catalyst versions are prone to cause issues.
I see your point and agree with it, still be nice to have more content with AR needed.
These should then be introduced in a similar system to fractals, like a version with AR needed and one without.
Anything else is vertical progression which is against the tenets of GW2.
(edited by Ettanin.8271)
My drivers are also up to date so I don’t know what the problem is.
Try an older Catalyst driver. The current one may cause more issues than it fixed.
GPU: GTX 560 Ti
/me facepalms. “NVidia. Typically.”
Your GPU may have a faulty firmware (not driver, but software burnt in your GPU). NVidia has, to cut down power usage, intentionally undervolted GTX500 series GPUs which made them unstable if on high usage pressure, i.e. high amount of shader usage.

The only solution is to correct the VCore manually with the OC tools shipped by your GPU manufacturer. NOTE THAT THIS WILL VOID WARRANTY AND MAY DAMAGE YOUR GPU IF DONE WRONG
nVidia failed twice for me in a row. First, they castrated OpenGL rendering functions from their GTX400 series to “force” higher sales on Quadro series cards, then they failed on the GTX500 series. AMD Radeon GPUs are, for about the same performance, cheaper even.

Not a bug.
You’re trying to join a non-matching instance. Actually try entering through the instance entrance the next time.
If kicking becomes backfiring, trolls will abuse that to intentionally punish you.
The current system is fine. If you get kicked often, make sure that you are the instance owner, by entering the instance and then listing for LFG.
No player with a sane mind will kick the instance owner, no matter what.
Did Tzark or Grast die during the 4 Burrows? If yes, then this is what causes that bug.
Note for the Devs:
0xc00000094 = Division by Zero.
I think you (the developer) missed an assert regarding a scrollbar when you have more slots than displayable but no characters.
If you are solo and fail to find a group, it’ll remove your listing after 5 minutes because the system thinks your listing is uninteresting.
3) Sell rare drops in the trading post for gems. People with money can buy the drop; people who have oodles of time/will can hunt for it. Please don’t hypocritically say rare things should be special, and then let people buy/sell “legendaries”.
RNG is fun and entertaining.
Three letters why you don’t want to do this: P2W.
Which firewall and antivirus program do you use? If it hangs during networking binding, one or both are faulty for stucking gw2.
Did you install DirectX ?
I doubt it’s a DX9 issue. DX9 starts to bind after clicking “Play” in the launcher.
4 karma armor items tossed in the forge for a salvageable / sellable item. The exact ones would depend on the best level items to salvage or sell and this is again dependent on current material markets.
NOTE: This can be considered an exploit as it might be an unintended way to convert Karma.

Your ISP is probably blocking GW2.
Make SAB a living story module (free for login on release, 200 Gems after)
0×00000050 = Page Fault in Non Paged Area
Causing app/library: Ntfs.sys
2 possibilities for a ntfs.sys issue:
1) Defective partition: Reinstall windows and backup any recoverable data.
2) Defective HDD/SDD due to defective sectors: Replace your storage medium.
If you get the same stopcode but a different causing app/library:
One or more RAM modules is defective.

sure, but that’s not good for US based machines.
I don’t want to delve too deep into Off-Topic, but this forum is for EU and US.
that is only true for systembuilder and Retail CD keys.
If you have an OEM version intended for the EU region, this is still true, due to the CURIA (Court of Justice of the European Union) legislation on OEM licenses. This method is also legal for CD Keys derived from the MS Dreamspark and MSDNAA program for academic use.

Guild upgrades are server-bound and currently only count for members of the server the upgrade was built on. Same counts for the guild bank.
The CPU is slightly weaker than a PC-Core i7-2600K (about 5% less single threaded power).
As long as you have more than or equal to 4 GB RAM, you shouldn’t encounter loading lags.
The GTX765M has 768 shader units, which is slightly stronger than a PC-GTX750 and about on par with a PC-Radeon R7 260.
Though these configuration might be able to render high details, for thermal reasons I do not recommend to go over medium.

Win7 32bit allows for 4GB of ram max. That accounts for system memory, Video Memory, and system resources in that 4GB max. You really need to upgrade to 64bit.
Hint: If you get hold of a Win7 64bit Ultimate or similar edition to your 32bit edition, you can install Win7 64bit using your license for the 32bit version. This is perfectly legal as long as you only use the license once at the same time.
Alternatively, download (legally even, because Microsoft themselves linked it!) the matching Win7 64bit ISO for burning here: http://answers.microsoft.com/de-de/windows/forum/windows_7-windows_install/wo-kann-ich-die-windows-7-iso-dateien/610a3a3c-e99c-42e6-8cf8-fda31127b035

nothing is being done, i have reported before but i have seen the people still get off scot-free
yea i knew it just to be sure
If you encounter this often:
1st – enter the instance, solo, without LFG listing
2nd – open an LFG listing and wait for other people to join
3rd – now that you are instance owner, no one will kick you or else also lose progress
Ok, I have a slow conection and wish to do other things at the same time so here are my questions…
1) Is there some way to limit the download speed?
No, GW2 uses maximum speed always. However, it shows you how much bandwidth was consumed with downloading.
2) If I exit the client updater, does it continue next time I open it or restart the download?
It continues where it left off.
File a support ticket here: https://help.guildwars2.com/anonymous_requests/new
Billing issues cannot be handled publicly due to the sensitive data involved.
2GB RAM
Not enough RAM for both GW2 and your OS. Add at least 2 GB more.
If you aren’t bandwidth limited, try the following:
- Backup your GW2.dat
- Delete your GW2.dat
- Let it reload.
How old is your HDD? It might have bad sectors which affect GW2. Trying to read/write a bad sector may cause system hangups.

The router seems not to be able to handle both frequencies at the same time, thus causing the rubberbanding. Your only solution is to have both devices within the same frequency.
If it was a memory leak, other players would encounter it also. I don’t encounter it.
What antivirus program are you using? The leak issue can also stem from that or anything else that scans or alter memory.
Also have a reward system where for example if John the Norn makes x amount of exotics through crafting he unlocks a special legendary Sword. And these won’t be easy exotics to make.
Ok with all points but this. Unless the legendary weapon and the exotics become account bound. Otherwise it’ll prove meaningless due to the Trading Post.
I’d even put a Mesmer in the Vigil. Choose what is the most to your liking.
Type of Bug: Aggro reset bug
Affected Entity: Ghost Eater
When you pull Ghost Eater too far and tie him too far, then breaking aggro, he’ll reset at the wrong place, too far away from one or two traps, rendering him unbeatable.
Exploitable: No
Exploitable for Griefing: Yes
Can block completion: Yes
We haven’t seen any new megabosses in a while and I do suspect we may see some soon but not without some dramatic changes. Teq and the Wurm are great but they make it apparently that open world megabosses have inherent problems.
1. It requires 150 people. This has lead to people pretty much relying on 1 or 2 groups(mega-guilds) to complete these events. The problem is that an entire guild or 2 cannot be the only access that people have to completing one boss. There needs to be guild competition.
You don’t need a guild to get Tequatl done.
What you need to get to get Tequatl done:
- 4 Commanders for the positions: Melee Zerg, Ranged Zerg, West defense, East defense
Megalaser Phase:
- Melee Zerg defends Megalaser
- Ranged Zerg defends West Battery
- West Defense defends Northern Battery
- East Defense defends East Battery
Being a commander in Tequatl is easy. Just do what you usually do, but additionally lead. If you are West or East defense, also make sure you have at most 10 people at you and all turrets occupied.
With a waiting time of at least 1 hour you won’t have difficulties finding taxis or organizing things.
Fun fact: I did Tequatl at 5 AM. We were the only active instance but managed to get it filled and 4-Commed with 15 minutes time left and ran it successful.
TL;DR: Tequatl zergs need no guilds.
2. This relates to the first problem but again, these bosses require a map-capped group to do, so basically +120. This makes is so difficult to get a pre-determined group into a map without losing about +60 people. The megaservers have made this more difficult.
What basically has to happen is that a group has to attempt to enter the same map, pop and overflow, then ferry as many people they can into there which even then it doesn’t completely work because when they pop an overflow its jsut another map of the megaserver that has merged a bunch of people togehter so you can still end up missing 30 or so people.
Solution: Same as number 1
Your best solution is organizing guild runs off-prime-time or try map-hopping one hour before. Another solution is already given by Arenanet for megaguilds: Prematurely activate the worldboss!
And no, we don’t need guild-only instances. Guild Wars 2 shouldn’t be Yet Another WoW Copy. Your Scale-Down suggestion will only lead to that, because it seems to be easier with less people then.

Recently I have been trying to think of which professions fit the most with which race. Like a warrior matches with a norn more than an asura. I was wondering what do you think would fit each race the most. My thoughts on this would be…
Humans: Guardian, Elementalist, Thief, pretty much any except for necromancer
Norn: Warrior, Mesmer, Ranger
Charr: Warrior, Engineer
Asura: Elementalist, Necromancer, Mesmer, Engineer
Sylvari: Ranger, NecromancerWhat are your opinions on this and what would you choose for each race?
Human Necromancers still make sense: As followers of Grenth
Charr Thieves work also: Ash Legion
Norn Elementalist: Yes, as shamans
Sylvari: Pretty much anything, because every bit of knowledge goes back to the Pale Tree
That’s as much as I can specify why
The problem is that Valve Corp. (the makers of Steam) wants a share on sale and microtransaction from accounts that were created through them. I don’t think NCSoft/ArenaNet wants that.
A Zerker on:
Claw of Jormag
Tequatl The Sunless
The Shatterer
Fire Elemental
Jungle Wurm
Triple Trouble
Shadow Behemoth
Golem Mark II
is a weakened character. You cannot critically hit those bosses. Two stats wasted.
EDIT: Can’t say the abbreviation of GNU Image Manipulation Program here.
Can someone confirm they have seen Crystal Prisons during Shatterer since the patch?
I was even once imprisoned yesterday (i think, but it was very recent). So yes, he still does that.
It’s already tedious to have to join the map 1 hour early to get a good group. But the AFKers make organization worse.
Thus I propose the following special rule to be instated:
The maps Sparkfly Fen and Bloodtide Coast will boot each player to character select not acting manually for 5 minutes to the character selection screen. Automatically running does not break the AFK timer. This should be in effect 1 hour before the map’s respective World Boss spawns.
I’ve always had a bad taste for P2W games, so it’s odd that I’m having a change of heart these days. But now that I think about it, perhaps GW2 should start moving baby steps into the realm of P2W items in the Gem Store.
Don’t even give them the idea!
Currently, we have convenience items that give boosts to characters. Increased running/swimming speed, instant teleport to airship or VIP areas, etc. But now, I’m thinking us paying players (those who purchase Gems) should get access to exclusive items or bonuses.
Nope. You’re already having an unfair advantage by the ability to get gold for gems.
The current system is a good one, as it allows players who don’t purchase Gems to have access to the Gem Store.
Which gets even harder the more people do it. No thank you.
But going a step further, it’s possible to have some items that are exclusive or give a bigger statistical advantage for players who do spend money on microtransactions.
GW2 not being that extreme P2W (as PWE’s games would be) is one of the reasons why I am playing it.
An idea would be like, 1 Legendary token for each 4k Gems purchased. 10 tokens = free Legendary.
I’d quit GW2 if that happens. If you wish to have that, play on the chinese servers. They have such a feature for their “VIP” milk-cows.
(edited by Ettanin.8271)
Thats why I’m looking to double or even tripple the gold I have now in a relatively short amount of time.
This is impossible in a world-wide economy GW2’s TP is, because price differences where you can profit from are getting “corrected” extremely fast, too many eyes who see it.
Correct. Guilds can do it already. Just do it where you can’t expect pubguys to come (i.e. 2 hours before next teq, most ppl queue up for taxis 1 hour before) and then spawn the guy
Beside that, a guild-spawned and killed world boss is one of the best recruitment ads you can get!
Nice reply thanks.
I’ve got a couple questions tho.
1) What makes u think gems will rise by that much? that would be a 33% chance increase in price and thats to only break even. To get some good profit out of it they’d have to approach 50% higher price. What would cause such a price jump?
If more and more people buy gems with gold instead of real money, which is, as the past has shown, the case, the price of gold -> gems (and thus gems -> gold) will rise instead of fall.
2) Leyline weapons are currently already in the 100’s of gold. Obviously the price will drop near the end of the 4 weeks they are available but I don’t see them dropping below 100 gold. Isn’t ticket skins risky in this case? I suspect these would follow a similar path as lovestruck weapons.
Sure, it’s a fashion trend. Skins are not secure as a long-term investment, because sooner or later more and more people have it. And because people tend to wish to look unique, newer skins become more popular.
3) Do you mean gold ore and silver ore?
I think he meant both. But I’d recommend to wait until the signs are more clear, else it’s more of an investment gamble (See Greater Fool Theory).
Reminds me too much of WoW (Murozond) and is, regarding the Lore, paradoxic. Why?
a) Dragons consume magic.
b) Fractals are images of the past.
c) A dragon that would consume time wouldn’t exist, especially not in a fractal, because it would eat it’s past or even future and thus it’s very definition of existence.
Welcome to the world of Tyria, the only world that does not dictate your goals.
Would it still be legendary if everyone has it?
So these are separable suggestions, right? Like you could just implement the ban list without the vote list, or vice versa?
No. If you wish to ban a fractal, you are forced to pick 2 of 3 randomly listed fractals which will then be the guaranteed ones, making banning a fractal sort-of a gamble.
(edited by Ettanin.8271)
If i understood it right, the group would be able to choose some fractals, that’s a Bad idea, since it could be used to choose the easier or faster ones and exploit a faceroll mode.
When the group bans a fractal, the group has to choose two out of three randomly chosen fractals. It can be good fractals or all three (where you have to vote two from) can be bad.
“Other two guaranteed instead” as in “You have to do one more fractal than normal?”
No, but:
One fractal is banned, so it can be:
chosen fractal 1, x, chosen fractal 2, x
x, x, chosen fractal 1, chosen fractal 2
or even
chosen fractal 1, chosen fractal 2, x, x
where x is a random fractal (but not the banned one)
(edited by Ettanin.8271)
We all hate one fractal more or less (i.e. Thaumanova – can be a real pain with people who don’t know this fractal, or Mai Trin boss fight).
What about the option to voteban a fractal – to make it guaranteed not to appear during your run, but at the cost of having to vote two out of three randomly chosen fractals that are guaranteed to appear?
Algorithm:
1st: Before starting the series you can choose to voteban a fractal. If the majority confirms the wish to ban a fractal, a majority vote on which fractal to ban is started.
2nd: A list of three randomly chosen fractals will be generated. Another majority vote is held on which fractal to pick first, then another on the remaining two choices on which fractal to pick second.
3rd: The fractal banned won’t appear during the run, but the other two picked fractals are guaranteed instead.
