I came across a Charr soldier in Sparkfly Fen who was humming a marching tune yesterday, so I would assume they like that sort of thing.
Let me clarify that I’m talking about the cut scenes, not interaction with the NPC’s. The actual interaction is always on point, just not the cut scenes. At least not for my Asura.
You can only hide the headpiece, not the other parts.
Outfits are really at their best while leveling a new character, as you can keep dumping new equipment on your character without messing up your look. Same for passing around ascended gear.
Apart from that, they’re situational.

Yes it does. It even says so in its description.
NOTE: Cannot be used in the Mystic Forge if transmuted
As long as you don’t transmutate the item into another skin, you can upgrade it and pick stats again.
So feel free to use it in the meantime.
A ‘knowledge transfer’ which allows you to transfer one crafting discipline from one character to another with an open crafting slot. Even if it’s only the level without the discovered recipes, it’s fine by me.
so from what I understand we will be getting new legendary weaps in HoT which will be account bound.
now, will we still be able to get (from drops) pres for old legendary weaps tho?Like, I really wanna get The Bifrost but Im only like half through farming gold for The Legend…
I need to know if I can still take it easy on gold farming or need to start spending 20h a day in SWthanks
I’m also working on the Bifrost atm. But I’m waiting for HoT to make my own Legend. It just feels right.
Well that and I don’t grind enough to afford the Legend.
It’s too bad the Bifrost doesn’t come in men’s colors. Would look better if it was Black with a Deep Purple hue.
That’s the most insecure thing I’ve read yet.
I’m very excited to try Tempest, Dragonhunter and Chronomancer.
I’ll also give the latest iteration of the Revenant a go, to see if it’s any good. If it still hits like a wet noodle, I’m also very tempted to run a Shiro legend with double silly scimitar :p
One serious, though temporary plus to the new system is that you can run your choice grandmaster trait as early as level 21 if you gather some hero points.
Leveling a new elementalist with Pyromancer’s Puissance at level 21 was a very enjoyable experience.
I wouldn’t mind having the option of moving a craft from a character you want to delete, to another character you own.
This please, a ‘knowledge transfer’.
I have spread my crafting masteries over characters I would now like to remake, but considering the time and money spent on the craft, I can’t really do.
so the question now is, should it still be called lions arch or something else?
it has nothing to do with LA, not one single bit, even the smallest single prove of it’s origin is destroyed ether by the rebuild or by scarlet.call it stillwater or something, don’t use a popular name and have a city that has nothing to do with anything the name suggests.
Eh? What does the fountain have to do with that?
The entrance to the city is still an arch with lions adorned on it. I think that’s about as literal as they could possibly be…
It’s even worse with Tegwen and Carys.
As I wasn’t playing a Sylvari, I didn’t meet them in the early story, but Trahearne suggested I’d recruit them to save claw island. So we find them, get introduced and explained how they found a mirror and got sent to Orr. They help us recapture Claw island.
Later in Orr, we need to lure out the Eye of Zhaitan, so in comes the mirror. I get introduced to both of them again. I get told the darn mirror story again.
Then I decide to march on Arah with the Vigil and guess who’s there? Tegwen and Carys. Apparently I don’t remember the Pale Reavers so she needs to explain that to me again. Then I get told the mirror story for the third time.
I understand it’s easier to make this way, as its universal conversation, but it does rather break the immersion a bit.
Admittedly, I was a bit hasty with my reaction. More options are of course better.
However, I find Verata trinkets to be the most accessible trinkets in the game at this point. It’s rather strange to me that you consider this backwards.
Or just like spend couple of days in Silverwastes.
Effectively but I like to have option & not see the same map during weeks & weeks.
Then you ruin your own argument with fractals and guild missions.
Consider the server you are on and try to pick a guild situated on that server. It makes everything much smoother.
Fractals are impressions of events past and future, but not exactly true to them. They are often a mix and match of elements. They are scenario’s build from fragments of reality. Or at least, that’s how I understand it.
Uncategorized fractal is not a future event however, I believe none of the fractals are at this point.
Kasmeer and Marjory are just shoehorned lesbians that constantly flaunt the fact that they are together in our face
Remember that the next time you see a heterosexual couple kissing in public, wearing rings, holding hands, referring to each other, and so on. For some reason it is only when non-straight couples make it obvious they are a couple that it is “flaunting it in your face”.
Could be worse. If they were men i’m sure the stink would be even bigger.
We’ve come a long way, but there’s still a good way to go.
Now for my Asura. He just needs to find a Norn female that finds him charming and likes to hear him go on about his various studies and experiments. :p
Not wanting to be crude and horrible person, but…
Choosing to be crude and horrible person anyway.I hope your Asura doesn’t mind being used as a d—-o!
pft! Asura/Norn. That’s rich.
“I majored in Norn anatomy, with a minor in spelunking. "
Taimi though being really cool isn’t all that unique and special, just another disgruntled Asura.
He’ll, isn’t she about the only physically disabled character that we have in the game? Physically diasabled characters are so often depicted as weaker or depedent on others.
Tybalt Leftpaw would have a word with you… if he weren’t dead.
How rare exactly, I can’ tell. They drop from enemies every so often. You also get 3 for doing your daily and they’re still in champion bags. You can probably still get quite a bit of them from farming the Silverwastes.
Another way of getting crystalline dust is salvaging ectoplasm, at an approximate rate of 2 per ecto. It’s probably not as effective, but if you have spare ecto…
Lies! There’s a warhorn where you blow into the bottom of a chicken ffs!
Courage is a nice choice! Considering you most likely can make this one immediately, do look at the other ones at your leisure. Both of those i posted are also Mystic Forge recipes and very doable to gather in those two weeks, if you commit to it.
So making a level 10 character and getting his story done get you a black lion chest key.
It take around an hour or less if you craft a little or use tome of knowledge for 1 key.
Those key can open black lion chest.
And in black lion chest you got chance to drop some scrap or complete black lion ticket. (1 black lion ticket = 10 scrap)
And with enough black lion ticket you can get skins at the seller in lion arch, those skin are usually really cool. And cost from 1 to 7 black lion ticket.
So it can take some time and RNG, but if you see a skin he would like for 1-3 ticket it’s possible to get it in 2weeks.
Not to be a spoilsport, but at the current estimated drop rate of 30% for a scrap, it’ll take approximately 30 hours of playing nothing but personal story non stop to get a single ticket. If fatigue doesn’t get him in those two weeks, insanity will most surely kick in.
I was looking around after the Wings of Dwayna link and thought maybe I would be able to craft him a cool exotic weapon? I have some spirit shards and other things saved up from before, do you think this could be doable?
Which brings me back to my question of how good his current equipment is. If he already has exotic, or better gear, the best you’ll do is gift him a cool skin (which granted, those MF recipes are all about).
Jormag’s Breath is another nice one for guardian, who use blue fire in their skills.

Well it still heavily depends on several factors:
1. how well equipped is your friend?
2. what is his personal taste?
Ascended gear is account bound, so you can’t give him that. That leaves you with legendaries, which are way out of your league in this time frame i would say, and skins. But skins are very subject to personal taste of course.
You farm keys by creating new characters and finishing the first story chain. It’s a long, tedious process and even if you do it for 2 weeks, it’s still very questionable you’ll get enough tickets to get a specific skin. Drop rate is abysmally low.
(edited by Evans.6347)
If he’s going to be playing the expansion, HoT, you could give him the Wings of Dwayna longbow. I personally think it’s the best longbow skin to fit the Dragonhunter’s new mechanics.
It’s pretty valuable, but doable in a short time. Just an idea.
Indubitably.
There is absolutely no way they can resist adding a few pet icon slots inaccessible to core game players. It helps sell the game, don’t you know?
I saw no carrier pigeon and its instant so its a quantum teleportation. Rm paid for merchant contracts? These have no purpose to defeat as all you have to do to access tp is to enter pvp lobby from anywhere and walk a few dozens of steps.
You have to look real close. Move the TP off to the side so you can see your person. When you sell an item you see a little bird fly off.
It’s really obvious with the red envelope though, as you throw those away, grunting.
The only thought that thing brings up for me is overcompensating.
Well here’s to hoping that Charr don’t get too many traits from cats. That could get… uncomfortable…
Does this still qualify under the name of “miniature”?
He can’t turn in his grave, he got turned into a jade statue.
I don’t believe there is a single T6 farm that has a higher output than simply farming the cash for it.
You can find wood farming routes online, those work pretty well. There are also maps online in which you input your /ip and they show you eg. ancient wood nodes.
Another general tip is having 3 characters at lv30, 40 and 50. If you open your masterwork bags you get in the Silverwastes on them, you get level appropriate items to salvage. Works best for cloth of course, but you get a lot of wood, leather and metal too.
For all that is holy, do not squander Kuunavang on underwater combat…
Unlike rare items, exotic items are actually rare.
I’m sensing a miscommunication here…
Mystic Salvage Kit
The Elitism is strong with this one. “Run Shiro or be kicked..”
That is saying if the damage output of shiro is any good, I hope it is.
If not we can still run Shiro with double silly scimitar. Fear my squeaky sword!
I feel epic battles coming up, Shiro vs Rampage.. Place your bets..
How much is the payout for impossible odds?

The Revenants tried to hit the underwater enemies, but they mist…
I don’t like the name because there were better old skills available. You don’t have to gang up on me
Don’t make me drag the manifesto in this to get my way!
Has anyone noticed that all other legends are defined by their race (e.g. Legendary Dwarf Stance) but Shiro is defined by his profession (Legendary Assassin Stance)?
Good point. Probably because there will be more human legends in the future I assume.
(edited by Evans.6347)
However, you have to wait till level 20 until you can mime.
~Clown Collega PS
It’s the crystalline dust that ruins the deal. Well that and the gamble on your output.
The recipe evens out at 7 T6 mats gain per conversion. So if you want to do this, calculate your cost and check if it isn’t cheaper to outright sell your T5 and buy T6.
But why call it ‘Enchanted Daggers’?
“For the physical-damage legend, we wanted someone who would make sense for high mobility and have a darker theme.”
So we make his heal skill sound like something used by a pretty, pretty princess!
Come on, no one is actually thinking the Revenant will not get underwater combat right? Either they haven’t finalized the skills yet, or they are so incredibly banal they simply won’t waste a blog post on it.
I miss battle scars and Impossible odds
Not to mention meditation of the reaper.
What is this jade dagger shenanigans anyway? Meditation of the reaper already was an offensive heal skill.
Norn don’t move slower than any other character. This is perception. The bigger the character, the more pronounced the slowness illusion is. In reality, they are all equally fast.
While not addressing the pitiful state of the human facial decor, you can make a minimum size Norn, which is about as big as a beefy human, and will appear to run just as fast.
It’s a QOL issue, for certain.
However, the Silver-Fed Salvage-o-Matic has one specific obstacle it’s Copper sibling doesn’t face: Mystic Salvage Kits.
If not for those kits with 250 uses, the Silver-fed would be a much larger QoL uptrade. As it stands, however, it’s really not worth the gems at all.
I agree, I also believe that canonically all story arcs have happened. Mechanically, however, you only focus on your own story, making you as the player the special snowflake.
How many commanders are there then? Well that’s a tricky one isn’kitten Originally starting with 15 potential heroes, I’d wager those are reduced to 3 candidates, one for each faction.
Converting T5 to T6 is only useful for powerful blood though, on the other mats the process is questionable.
I agree with what AdaephonDelat says, apart from the pointless split in long and short answer
Regardless of the total population of the game, the use of mega-servers makes it so you will always come across other people to play with.
Can someone go into the game and check if disease spreads between the palyer character and Razah?
That’ll settle it once and for all.
“Razah was created by mimicking a human, not born; it has no gender. Although its species is unknown, the game treats it as human; in particular, Razah will transfer disease to or from other human party members.”
From the wiki.
I like Razah as much as the next person, but by being a jack of all trades it doesn’t have a strong enough theme to make a legend out of imo.
