It’s not unreasonable to want something new to do in between. QoL update or not, the game has been rather stale for a long time now.
It’s not lame, you put thought in it.
I’ll take your word on it, you’ve obviously put a lot of time and thought into this matter. All I can say is that it feels like most of it was in the open world or covered by Fractals, so I guess it’s perception.
Out of curiosity, what were you going for?
And I would like to plug the minstrel finisher.

Well, des goûts et des couleurs (on ne discute pas). Taste is subjective. I understand their inspiration, but that doesn’t mean everyone likes it.
Feel free to use a different helmet skin though. Phalanx or T2 human cultural have a nice ‘knight’ feel.
Well then you should be able to use them. Is your equipment also req. lv65 at least? Because you can’t use them on armor lower than that I believe.
Erectius Maximus, playing on Ring of Fire
He’s looking rather stiff.
It’s a known issue, they’re working on a fix according to Ester .

Ideally, 1 lv80 of every profession (9) + 3 character on different level tiers for salvaging cloth.
So 12 is my goal. I’m at 11 atm.
It drops, but its random.
I’ve had dozens of them now. Rule of thumb is that once you won’t need them anymore, they’ll drop all the time.
That said, to actually answer the question: You can put them on your armors, but it is very specific. You might not have the appropriate level or gear to put crystals in.
Opal crystals require you, and your gear, to be at least level 65.
I made mine after the world event was done, by transforming watchwork sprockets into shards in the MF.
That said, I don’t think it’s a good investment nowadays. You’ll need 450 or so blade shards, and the mining node gives you 1 or 2 a day if you’re lucky. Sprockets are getting more expensive too.
Mawdrey is cheaper for certain.
Ironically, these are the same sort of people who come to the SW, decked out in their fancy equipment, to stand afk at boss until all the plebeians have done the work for them.
Still, how would you remake S1? It was mostly world events, and the instances were incorporated into Fractals.
Anet pls can u adjust the pants on Human/Norn Male a little bit? Its a little to “fat”.
I can’t wear this in battle! It makes my legs look fat! WHAT WOULD MY ENEMIES THINK?
Those hips don’t lie honey.
On the bright side, it makes her look even more deranged.
That is the look you’re going for, right?
The old excuse was that Charr were the least played race and thus no priority to fix. I’m not sure if that’s still the case, but don’t hold your breath for fixes.
That said, I find it incredibly lazy that even a large amount of outfits are not fixed for the Charr. Honestly, there should not be a single outfit that is not tailored to the tail of Charr.

Are you saying people are going to stay away from low level zones beccause they are slightly less op? If so, thats ridiculous.
This affects nothing other than some egos.
You are entitled to your views as I am mine. Putting down others opinions does not make yours more important.
Of course you’re entitled to your views, even if they are based on misinformation.
Do not know of another mmo that works this way.its a gamble and if it fails the game might go down the toilet. I wouldn’t start playing a game that worked like this.I have put a lot of time and real money into this game that I now regret.
Draaaaamaaaaaa!
Seriously, low level zones are not hard by any stretch of the imagination. The only thing this does is make sure that when you are at the appropriate level for the zone, the whole area doesn’t get spoiled by high level one-shotting everything around you.
But hey, if this is a deal breaker, maybe it’s simply not the game for you.
They change the product and your saying I should maybe just leave and just forget the £2000+ I spent. lol
What product did they change? There has always been downscaling.
So what if they tweaked it a little? There never was a point where you were overpowered in downscaled areas. Obviously this is arguing for the sake of arguing, because the impact is so neglectable it makes the whole argument asinine.
I’d much rather see people insta kill mobs (Which doesn’t even happen) than no one at all. Even tho most zones are alive and well, i never have a hard time nor does anyone else with the fact that high levels comes and kills every mob in the zone just to kitten noobs off..
But please, if you have any proof of this, then maybe this change is good. But proof first fix later.
What kind of contradiction is this? I’m sorry but I don’t know how to reply to this. The whole point of the system is to make sure that everyone is at reasonably equal ground (which they’re not because high level characters with traits and runes are always at an advantage). It’s because they aren’t overpowered, that no one has any trouble. Everyone gets to contribute.

So a new player joins this game levelling up in a starter zone and spends hours and hours maybe months levelling up and crafting expensive ascended gear and maybe legendry’s only to come back to that starting zone to find himself weaker than when he started. Are anet taking the kitten or what.
But the thing is, they won’t find themselves weaker, because they have experience now and will be much more efficient. This is nothing more than numbers, raw stats. But it’s how you apply them that matters.
First you use the oil, let it heat up in the pan, then add the food. Don’t let is cook too long.
Seriously tho, only in SW atm, and I use cheap foods and utilities. I’m not paying large amounts of money for small boons.
I’m rather amazed that a few people would choose Hoelbrak. It is, without a doubt, the worst one.
Not only is everything spaced out so much, the trading post is on another level all together. And to top it all off, you have to listen to that insane metal and steam woman -.-
shudder
Ugh no, I’ll have Rata Sum over any of them. It’s lovely structured and fast access via WP.I don’t care about spacing. Makes no difference to me where anything is. I prefer its look and vibe.
Of course, all the more power to you.
For myself I find that atmosphere gets beaten by efficiency rather quickly.

For the most part, I try to get names which would fit in a lore sense.
My main however is the same as it was in the original Guild Wars, I had a male mesmer called Evans Faith, which was just a switch of Faith Evans who had, among others, the great hit Mesmerized. His reincarnation has become a guardian, but I made him the Flameseeker Prophecies as a family heirloom, to stay in theme.
My Sylvari mesmer is thematically build around the ley lines. As such, her name is Leyliana, a play on ley line and liana. By using Zodiac armor mixed with cultural and Mawdrey as backpack, she embodies her name.
My Charr warrior’s name is Katsumi Bittersteel, part of the Steel warband. She changed her name to Bittersteel after the loss of her warband by the hand of Steelbane. After her promotion, it kind of stuck.
My Norn ranger is called Úlfr Skjótsson, which with some artistic liberty translates into “Son of the swift Wolf”. Of course, I always have a wolf companion with me.
My Asuran thief is called Smeeff. It’s short, it’s silly, it fits. There’s nothing more to it.
Then I have a human necromancer named Fabian Durheim, descendant of house Durheim who claim to have a special relationship with Grenth.
Here is the pertinent part of the FAQ on the Wardrobe, most likely:
Please note that skins or partials skins that you previously purchased but which you no longer possess will not be unlocked on your account. The Guild Wars 2 Support Team cannot unlock skins that fall into this category.
https://help.guildwars2.com/entries/46419166-Wardrobe
If you receive a different response from the CS Team, then gratz.
If not, then you know why.Good luck.
Problem is, (at least in my case) that i had made the purchase or transmutation splitters to make sure i could get the skins back. Now when i logged in months later the splitters were turned into transmutation charges, so there was no way to recover them.
I felt pretty much like Stan when he went to the banker and was told ‘’Aaaand its gone!’’
I feel for you =/
You actually bought transmutation splitters
For instance, I should have 3 of the jade weapons, and almost all of the original super blue weapons in my wardrobe, but I lost them all because the wardrobe wasn’t out at the time, and I swapped those skins for others using the old fine xmute stones. Some of those skins I lost are now going for thousands of gold, and the chances I get to get another shot at them are slim.
Anyone else frustrated at this? Any Anet employee want to give some info on if this will ever be rectified, or if these skins will be easily attainable again?
As a simple neutral observation, at the moment you swapped out those skins using transmutation stones, you most likely willingly forfeited that skin. A significant time later you complain that you have lost that skin.
I understand your frustration, but I feel that we all already knew that these skins would be valuable at the time they were released. I know I kept those I got around as weapons. I’m afraid there is little to no way of proving you had them at this point…
To be honest, I’d rather have no relations whatsoever be shoved in my face. Very rarely these have a meaningful impact on the story, other than to make a death more emotional.
Having a few meaningful NPC’s have some flirtatious banter with my hero would be more than enough for me.
Guild Wars 2: Absence makes the heart of thorns go yonder
Oh, I’m terribly sorry! I read:
So man up. Don’t whine about something that isn’t vertical progression [at all]. Perfectionists are the only ones that were upset because they felt “obligated to fully gear all my toons with full ascended”. That’s bs and you know it…
and I assumed I was allowed to answer in a comparable childish manner. My bad.
I’m personally over the moon that the difference will remain 5%, for many practical reasons such as testing out builds, before I make the decision of making what I call “expensive stuff”.
I like the fact that it remains optional and not obligatory for certain game modes. So I say nay to your proposition, kind sir. Good day.
Who says I haven’t?
TL;DR: “I spent time making this equipment and I want it to be a bigger deal.”
But you know, it isn’t, so be happy with your 5%.
You did make a worst case scenario there though. I mean, just to be clear.
Wait a minute, isn’t this something I can reflect right back at you? Hmm, yes, I think it is!
So you know, man up and deal with it.
Well Halan, opinions are like bottoms, everyone has one, but some are more attractive than others.
I don’t understand what you’re talking about. Backpieces won’t replace gliders and we’ve seen no evidence that gliders do or don’t cover backpieces.
Pretty sure they will replace backpacks while gliding. It would look really peculiar if they didn’t and there were mishmashed glider/backpack combinations.
Imagine the Zephyr Rucksack, with the little toucan flapping its wing maniacally. xD
“A glorious glider skin you’d never get ^^”
SAB gets mentioned
Yup, I see no inconsistencies here.
Pfffsh, it’s a rubbish argument to begin with Kal. There IS a hide backslot toggle on the hero screen. If it bothers people, kindly ask that person to temporary hide the back item.
But no, instead lets ask for a tool so we don’t have to be forced into social interaction in a MMORPG.
Well they’d better brush up on their exclusion LFG’s lest they be judged as racist.
I’ve seen FotM level 50 groups in LFG that state “no black wings” so clearly this is a problem.
This is literally the dumbest thing I’ve read all day.
That’s assuming that spirit shards will still be in champ bags of course. I don’t know if this has been confirmed.
I’m not saying I don’t have any, I’m sure I’ll have a nice amount. But that’s not the point.
It’s not because some have a lot, that the price needs to be high.
I apologize for my cranky reactions, however. I obviously need some coffee =/
So the big number if skill points you have is bothering you? Such a harsh life.
I got about 10000 skill points (spirit shards) I think. I’d agree with OP.
So because you have a lot, everyone else must be punished? Great thinking there.
It’s fine the way it is. People are not going to throw their sets in the forge every other day.
Agreed. But yea, everyone wants to get some first hand experience with the game I suppose.
Well of course some people will wear it, but what I meant is that it’s basically worthless.
“Maguuma Trailblazer”
It’s not an accomplishment and It’s only got a little bit of thematic flavor. I’m not interested in the slightest on any of my characters.
