Trying it for the first time right now, we’re stuck on Frizz’s Lab. Worst experience in the game for me. No matter how flawless you can be, it’ll bug eventually. One yank into the wall is inst kill. No joy, just suffering.
Get a guardian, preferably more than 1 guardian. During the final phase, stay with the guardian(s) near the big wall that’s moving away from you and jump on crates as needed, no need to panick with guardians. Nothing will happen to you or anyone else in the team. Guardian(s) make it easy.
Dungeon is very fun, I’m gonna probably try to finish it with a no-guardian team before it’s over. The prospect of repeated wipes make it kinda exciting.

Trickshot doesn’t exactly move at light speed either.
yes guardian is most OP
you need a guardian but if you have more than one then this dungeon is easy mode.
pro tip: You can use the golem pull to your advantage if you don’t have stability, it can actually pull you over the small beams
Also, on the subject of guardians, if you REQUIRE a guardian, rest assured you are likely the type of player that kitten off us Guardians and waste our time.
how? I just drew a lucky party with 2 guardians and we didn’t even wipe once. it was easy as hell. the difficulty of this dungeon depends on how many guardians you have. finished in 30min or so.
dungeon is really good, but it’s too frustrating to do it with a PUG. the failure rate is extremely high
You “require” a guardian on your team.
It’s easy to assume a player with that low amount of skill hasn’t been carried through it yet.

You can. Stay on the lower one – dodge against the higher one. You won’t get hit by the lasers. What’s so difficult to understand?
Also: If the laser is right under you, dodge in the direction it came from, avoiding it completely and giving you enough time until the next one arrives.
If the laser hasn’t gotten to your crate, dodge in the direction it is going and run to the next crate.
It’s that easy. I did it many times, plenty of other people did it many times.
If you actually practiced instead of crying on the forums how “impossible” it is,
you would have beaten the dungeon long ago.

Now you say “first used priorizes” is a bad one. What else will there be ? “second used priorized” ? so much better.And saying “your finisher priorizes your own field” is pretty much “anti-teamwork”.
Please, suggest a coherent way, as you think it’s a good way. And please to not say “better let us overwrite bad fields”.
The only solution is to make finishers activate all combo fields present in that spot. The current first come first serve setup just makes it so whoever plops down the first combo field gets to do his combos and then noone else can until the combo field is over. That’s just not fun for anyone and could hurt the team if the currently in place field isn’t what other people want.

to make it simple; the bigger the castle, the harder the lord.
tower —> keep/garrison --> SM
easy —-->medium————>hard
what about the camp?
casuals always end up using the FotM builds though
you should be able to melee anytime you want if you’re good with the melee sets. i usually don’t bother because…why? I don’t care about saving a few seconds. against bosses/mini bosses sometimes I do use S/D to strip boons and such. also anytime everyone else is on melee you can be on melee too, because hell why not?

what’s a major boss attack? i don’t remember being 1 shot by anything.
you really need to do a dungeon besides cof p1… CoE’s Alpha on 2 of the paths has a nearly 1 shot if your full health, old AC’s Colossus Rumblus had a guaranteed 1 shot, Arah has several trash mobs and GL that can 1 shot you, TA (either f/f or U/U cant remember but right before the tree) has a boss that can 1 shot you, and theres more i just cant think of them right now (note: i didnt mention any fractal bosses although the majority of them can 1 shot you in high levels)
I haven’t done any higher level fractals since I don’t have agony resist but CoF p1 p2 is the only thing worth doing these days since it actually has people running it. Except for the new aesther blade which I will be trying soon.

I used to run AC quite a bit, but ever since AC got nerfed (increased in difficulty) noone ever runs it anymore. Same thing with Caudecus Manor which was super easy mode, I have never seen a single person there anymore.
edited my post about cm, but AC if anything was made much easier for coordinated teams, its just pugs that have trouble with AC now
well i WvW most of the time, and the few times I feel like doing PvE I usually PuG and so I run CoF since it’s the only thing that PUGs run. I guess because it’s easy and fast.
Fractals take a huge amount of time so I don’t get the chance to do it often but it’s pretty fun and not all that kitten the lower difficulties.

Btw, from experience I can tell you, soldier set or even cleric set wont allow you to facetank anything even as a guardian, and with a thief its just totally wrong imo.
Only talking about pve, mind you.
It’s not about facetanking, but being able survive a couple of hits if you screw up or hits that you can’t avoid.
roaming videos are kinda boring to watch though, i’d rather do the roaming myself than watch a video on it. zerging videos can be more exciting to watch.
why is berserker armor so good? if you take 1 hit you die! (if you’re a thief)
dont get hit then, literally ive gone whole fractal runs without getting hit once, but on a more global note – any major boss attacks are going to 1 shot you whether your in full sentinels gear or in berserkers so the only way to survive is to dodge, thus since your avoiding damage altogether its much more efficient to use the higher damage gear

i use quality 2.0 speakers and use my webcam as a microphone if I need to communicate on mumble.
well my build for dungeons is just S/D and shortbow and I don’t have much issue staying alive. i guess stay away from full berserker if you are having trouble staying alive.
For more than 1 mob, use shortbow AA and cluster bomb.
For only 1 mob (or multiple mobs packed in the same spot so the sword can hit all 3 at the same time), you can use S/D…and between the on-demand shadow return (that works even when you’re stunned) and on-demand evade of FS/LS you shouldn’t really have any trouble surviving and you can strip every single boon from the boss unless it doesn’t have any or special boons that can’t be stripped.

See, now your fields wont overlap. Engaging in teamwork is a win/win and turns your issue into a non-issue.
So it barely works with 2 people in the team. Now add 3 more and the system is completely screwed.
At the end of the day, having to wait for everyone else to finish their combos just so you can use your own is a PITA and is just not fun.
this is a serious issue, please revamp the combo field system ANET, it’s not working correctly right now.
The biggest issue is people putting down the wrong combo fields at the wrong times…not the way fields work.
I was lucky enough to choose an ele for my first class, which is basically combo fields/finishers 101. If more people were educated on which fields to prioritize, it would be much less of an issue.
Like i said before, it sucks you don’t get what you want 100% of the time, but it is a good thing you need to interact with others for optimal play. Otherwise it might as well be a single player game.
A wrong field to you might be the right field to another. Think about other people too.

Roaming is just another part of the game. Roaming around and flipping camps, killing sentries, killing stragglers. What’s the point of following a commander around only to PvDoor?

Used on purpose to gain tactical advantages and randomly spam skills and use them by nature of using a random skill is not the same

I’d just be happy if YOUR OWN combo fields took precedence over those of others.
I run an ele and I have a might stacking combo I frequently start a fight with, and it is the biggest pain in groups because every time I lay down my fire fields and start my burst finisher combo some chuckle head lays another field over it and denies me the might stacks that are absolutely essential for my build!

the whole overwriting mechanic is horrible though. if i have a combo that i like, for example poison field then blast finisher for AoE weakness on the mob, but someone else laid down a fire field what do I do? I have to wait for the fire field, and the water field to pass….when do I even get to do my combo???
it’s a ridiculous mechanic, basically denying people the people with lesser combo fields the chance to do anything to help the team for fear of overwriting the “better” fields.
stop nerfing shortbow every patch. it needs some buffs.
That doesn’t really make sense. If you use a blast finisher for example in 2 combo fields, you should get the effect of both combo fields at the same time.
