Pff CoF is rediculous easy at least the second path. Everyones wearing CoF armour pieces because they are one of the nicest looking ones and easiest to farm. It’s no longer a cool/special thing to see someone with it. It just screams ‘I was farming for days in easy mode that required practically no effort to do’.

The AoE crystals dropping has a decently long period before they drop again, which is plenty of time to recharge mantras should you need to do so.

Optimal strategy for the boss is to unload elites (everyone in the group) and burn him down to 70%. From 70% to 30% the boss no longer heals, so you have one person kite the boss around while everyone else heals up and prepares spells. Once your elites are off cooldown, you then burn the boss from 30% to dead. It’s critical for the 2nd burn part to either move him to a part of the room that doesn’t have a lot of crystals, or have everyone ranging the boss so that he doesn’t summon a large amount of crystals near him, as the closer he is to crystals the faster he heals.

I main Mesmer and run 0 pieces of vit or toughness and have no issues surviving on this fight. MAKE SURE TO CLEANSE THE BURN CONDITION or you take double damage from everything.

Thank you for your advice al though this is what we’ve been trying we will be attempting to do this fight again and I shall attempt the above again. Either way I still think the fight relies too heavily on luck and could do with some balancing.

It’s one of the harder fights there is, but Mesmers are fine on it if you just swap to a different spec and actually make the fight easier due to Time Warp.

Use Greatsword + Mantra Traits (Slotting Healing, STABILITY, and Cond Removal ones) so you have 3 charges of each and 4% more damage for each charge. On your attacks, make sure to pick up the clone on roll talent and every time you do 2, 4 + roll shatter your clones.

Mesmer does a ton of damage via that method, and just use mantra of stability the instant you get knocked down.

I run a semi mantra build with healing and tried to use it in combination with the Greatsword but you don’t really get time to build up mantra’s due to the high amount of unpredictable AOE and you can’t dodge when casting a mantra without breaking it. Since all the AOE happens so often the 5 seconds it takes to cast a mantra is often 5 seconds too much.

Not to mention that it’s not the knockdown ones that are the real issue but the instant damage the AOE does.

I use Mantra of Pain for damage and healing with the heal allies trait and the use mantra 3 times trait. I barely found any reasonable time to cast mantra’s in this fight because of the AOE.

I also use the trait where you dodge and leave a clone behind but since you need the dodge to get out of the AOE, The clone just gets left behind to be killed.

Your suggestion is viable but relies a lot on luck rather than skill which is the problem with this fight. You can probably do it with A LOT of luck but no matter how well I’m doing eventually I get hit by an unpredictable instant damage AOE and downed because there were 3 of them overlapping each other one next to the other.

The AOE needs some balancing I feel so that with skill you can avoid them. The fight relies too much on a gamble which makes it highly unfair and not so much skill based (This is not to say a party who finishes it isn’t skilled just that a party who isn’t that amazing can beat the fight with sheer luck).

Exactly I can understand people having to swap weapons, slot skill abilities and the swappable traits as I do this all the time. I do not agree that people have to swap their entire builds and gear around to fit one fight not that it would make much difference on this fight, Mesmers are just useless in this one.

You can go one-handed/pistol combo for high dps which is melee which = death
Phantasm build, phantasms get killed which = useless
Shatter build, clones are one-shot easily and are more about applying confusion type CC’s not DoT’s and are more about Burst damage with the shatters which would be hard to build up seeing as clones get killed easily which = useless

I’d really like to be able to complete this fight. This is a serious balancing issue which I hope will be addressed asap so I can actually earn the Dungeon Master title + Achievement.

mantra of pain is trash skill?

I tried doing so, too, but the casttime is too big. In that time I rather attack/ dodge/ stealth or clone.

this is a different case. I also use MoP underwater. So far, that I changed my default attack to it. And while resolving you can use other short spells.

I think the problem isn’t that the cast time is long the problem is that it FEELS long when in reality you do more damage with the 3 subsequent instant abilities than you would lets say auto-attack.

So the 7 or so seconds it takes to cast it and use the 3 instant abilities is shorter than doing the same amount of damage with your auto-attack in that same amount of time without the added ability of healing yourself and allies.

As for the other abilities apart from the heal the others are situational on PvE fights and probably mostly useful in PvP. As for the heal the problem with it is that it’s so hard to time correctly with the cast and cool down to keep in mind. Fights tend to get so hectic that it’s difficult to guess when it will be best to cast it and best to use the instant heals.

I use Mantra of Pain as my healing skill (PvE). I have 20 points in Inspiration with the ‘Heal allies when casting mantra’ trait. Basically every time I finish casting a Mantra it heals myself and allies nearby.

Then with the trait to use a mantra 3 times it does A lot of damage instantly 3 times which can make such a big difference. The reason I picked mantra of pain is because once you used the instant abilities there is no cool down unlike the other mantras so you can keep spamming the ability. Heal + Do lots of damage = Win

It’s especially awesome underwater because the cast time goes down to 3 seconds from 5 meaning you are virtually invincible just by spamming that ability while kiting mobs around.

That said I do dislike the other Mantras because of the cooldown they feel too underpowered or too situational in PvE anyway.

Let me start by saying that me and my party so far have done AC, CM, TA and SE on all paths story mode and explorable so we are patient, Think through tactics and aren’t exactly unskilled so no this isn’t another ’It’s too hard winch thread’ as I like the difficulty involved.

We do however have several issues with the Searing Effigy fight:

Issue 1 – AOE:

Too much AOE too often, entirely unpredictable and almost instant damage with no way of telling where it will land and often several overlap making it impossible to dodge all the time or recover from. For squishy classes like myself (Mesmer) it’s pretty much an instant downed.

I can only dodge twice at a time but even that doesn’t matter because if it just happen to hit me I’m downed any way (Plus there’s the fire trail that follows and hits you unless you dodge on top of that). There’s no way for me to avoid the damage effectively for any period of time regardless of skill. Completing a fight shouldn’t be a gamble but skill based.

Solutions:

- Reduce the amount of AOE
- Give more time between the red AOE circle showing and incoming damage
- Make the AOE more predictable

Issue 2 – Damage output vs Healing & Professions Rendered Useless

There’s several ways we figured we can go about completing this fight which we’ve seen confirmed in various places we searched for advice. All of which require insane DPS output and endurance.

The problem being is that certain professions are made with support/control in mind rather than damage such as Mesmers. We have two Mesmers in our party, One who uses a phantasm build which is rendered useless with the phantasms dying in the AOE and my build for damage and healing.

Problem with this is that my most effective DPS comes from the One-handed sword/pistol combo which is Melee range which = death. Greatsword is doable but then isn’t amazing damage either.

I’m not set up for condition damage so clones and shattering are too weak for the amount of dps required. Trying to focus on healing with mantras is a big no no since it wastes time needed to DPS. So this instantly renders both me and the other Mesmer useless. Not to mention Issue 1 killing us constantly.

Dungeons should be completable by all professions and it’s highly unfair that Mesmers and similar are rendered useless in this fight regardless of build/trait setup or skill.

Solutions:

- Fix the AOE issue above which should help significantly
- Make it so phantasms are immune to the bosses abilities or at least buffed significantly
- No AOE in melee range, Instead have some other ability that you can dodge away from. Keep the fire trails but make them start a short distance away from melee range (Would be nice to see a fight where melee has the advantage over ranged).

Conclusion:

I love the hard dungeon fights WHEN they are doable with tactics, patience, teamwork and individual skill. I do NOT like fights where no matter how skilled you are there’s nothing within the players power to prevent being killed or for the party to successfully complete the fight because professions are rendered useless or cause a huge disadvantage.

Us Mesmers have a bad enough rep without there being fights that specifically makes people want to avoid Mesmers. Please fix this fight so we can continue our progress.

Edit: Me and the other Mesmer went into the fight specifically to attempt to dodge/prevent being killed. I got downed once by an ‘attack’ that took all my health. Yet there was nothing there attacking me, No AOE or trail of fire nor was I being ‘burned’ so is there some skill he does that’s not mentioned? Some other issues we’re the random AOE being so unpredictable it’s unavoidable.

It’s also making it unwise to use any ability other than auto-attack because that one half of a second you’re placing ‘Radiation Field’ for example is half a second too much (That is with placing where the cursor is option enabled). which means you do no where near enough DPS to be of much use.

Most people seem to hang out near the bank/mystic forge area in Lion’s Arch. I tend to just hang just outside the bank on the stairs. Another place where I tend to see people hang out if the Grand Piazza at the lion fountain.

I’ve done all paths in AC, CM, TA and SE on story mode and explorable and I agree with the OP I can honestly say they are very much doable with determination and a good group of people. I would NOT like this content to be nerfed. There’s a whole world out there ready to be explored that is generally easier to do than dungeons plenty of content there for casuals.

If the dungeons are too hard for you find something else to do. They are only a small portion of the game so I don’t understand why people get so upset by not being able to do Explorable. Same with the jumping puzzles, If you can’t do it there’s plenty of other content out there for you to enjoy.

Leave some really hard content in for the gamers who like a challenge or who are skilled and deserve a reward for that. The dungeons are the closest thing we have to raiding so they should stay hard.

For those who complain story mode is too hard, It’s a joke. I’ve seen plenty of non hardcore, Casual gamers being able to complete them as long as there is one person at least who knows what they’re doing so this all just comes down to the patience of individual players who leave after a single wipe. Beside this is quite normal for all MMO’s where a lot of players give up as soon as something requires effort.

Please don’t add mounts they would ruin the game entirely in my opinion. I just cant see it working. Beside we already have tonics that allow you to turn into animals like Dolyaks that’s close enough for my liking in my opinion.

I like to walk everywhere, experience the world. I don’t often use waypoints because they ruin the immersion and mounts will do the same. They disconnect you from the content and that sense of threat/vulnerability when you walk through the world.

Fyonna - Twilight Arbor Explorable

We were eventually able to lure only a few in the corridor with luck and take them down. Though it kept pulling the boss along with. After that the rest of the paths were faceroll. The first path we took before it was so hard (The one with the mesmer tree at the end and leurent and his knights). That we had no major problems other than the above mentioned that we really ran into in the other two.

I do want to point out that there is a bug with the boss tree in the spider version at the end because we were able to stand in the entrance of the room and auto-attack it down with zero effort.

"Mesmers arent good dungeon dps"

Ironically I do most damage out of the people in the parties I’m with when I use my One-handed sword + Pistol combination. I have 30 points in Domination, 20 in Inspiration and 15 atm in Dueling. According to the tooltips in comparison to the other people in my group that weapon combination + traits does more if not double the damage they do.

That being said it’s a tricky weapon set to use and definitely doesn’t work for all encounters. I always bring with me a one-handed sword, pistol, scepter, focus, greatsword and staff and swap between them when required.

All the other weapons don’t do as much damage in general unless you trait towards a specific weapon such as phantasms for a staff or scepter for shattering/condition damage it’ll take a bit for the damage to build up but it’s more consistent (That is if your phantasms don’t get destroyed etc.).

Also with 20 points in inspiration I contribute to the fight by healing my allies and myself by selecting the trait ‘Heal allies when casting a mantra’ and while reviving to use the feedback bubble. I use Mantra of pain and it heals for a fair amount myself and those near me when it’s finished casting. Then when using the ‘Activate mantras three times’ trait you can do some big instant damage right after.

Then there’s the many CC’s we have. Like Temporal curtain with the slows/speed up and pull back for focus, Shattering for clone spamming scepter which also makes a nice distraction for mobs, Stunning/dazing/blinding with pistol, greatsword has the knockback and range, staff with chaos storm, one handed sword with its vulnerabilities and cripple effects. The list is endless.

Not to mention slot skills like Feedback, Null field, Illusion of life etc.

The downside of Mesmers are that each weapon and slot skill abilities have quite specific situational uses and therefor in explorables it sometimes takes a wipe before the Mesmer knows what to expect and can adjust weapons/skills/traits accordingly.

Mesmers are probably the hardest profession to master and require a lot of thought, situational awareness, last second decision making, fast reaction time, deep understanding of your many weapon choices/skill abilities + traits. They are squishy and weak unless played properly and even then it can be difficult.

Don’t judge the profession, Judge the individual Mesmers. There are many bad ones, A few good ones and the good ones are really something else.

Fyonna - Twilight Arbor Explorable

So we understand the basic idea of the Fyonna fight in Twilight Arbor Explorable after some trial and error but now there are loads of spiders already spawned from previous fights making it impossible for us to continue as we get swamped and nuked down by them. Is there a way for the spiders to reset/despawn so we can have another go at it without having to loose our entire progress so far?

I had the same issue with my Mesmer’ Blink initially but I’ve gotten used to roughly the distance it will take me when used so I don’t often have the issue any more of getting the out of range message.

I also have my options set so the ability is used where I point my cursor on the screen rather than placing the green AOE field and then clicking to use it which wastes a lot of time. However that is a good way to get used to the distance. Instead its an easy quick adjustment when you are out of range to move your mouse and press the button again.

I don’t agree that they should be max range at all times because this would limit the ability quite significantly when wanting to blink to a specific spot. It would actually make it even less accurate.

I have to agree with this Mesmers on their own are squishy and vulnerable they rely heavily on ‘mesmerising’ others (surprisingly) to stay alive and have a shot at killing someone. So people being able to target Mesmers is a BIG issue in PvP settings.

If the targeting thing get’s taken away then only Mesmers who are really good are able to get away with tricking people (as in pretend to be Illusions). This is a serious balancing issue that needs to be addressed.

Weapon coloring?

I don’t mind the weapons not being able to be dyed but I would like to see a possibility to dye hair items that you pick from at the start as the colours are so limited when you create a character.

Dye Hair Items

So I play a female Asura and I use the hair with the bow in it. The problem is that I have to match the dye of my outfit to that of my bow as I can’t dye my outfit in any colour I like as it won’t match the bow which is incredibly annoying.

Would be great if it was either made possible to re-dye the hair items in the colour panel or add it as a barber function in the Gemstore that allows you to pick colours from the dyes you have available to you. I’d be willing to pay for it.

Mesmer new weapon - Harp

The trident for Mesmers under water acts kind of like a harp because of the musical notes that come out of it just the weapon doesn’t look like a harp (I suppose it could be a special aesthetic item that could be added to the gemstore that allows you to transmute a Mesmers trident into the look of a harp). Dissapointing. No Guild Halls?

I was wondering about Guild Halls myself, I’m aware of the post that was made but that was in 2011, Any updates on any progress in regards to Guild Halls? My guild and myself would like to know if we need to keep Influence kept aside for building a Guild Hall & Upgrades?

And with Guild Hall I’m talking about a PvE instance that doesn’t get reset after each WvW rematch or costs a fortune to defend. Myself and my Guildies always find it difficult to find a nice area to just meet up without all being stuck in different overflows or that isn’t out of the way area or a place we don’t enjoy hanging out in (Like Hoelbrak isn’t exactly the most fun place to be in except for Keg Brawl).

I would suggest an instance in Lion’s Arch near the City Asura Portals so it’s easy access for everyone or an option from the menu like going to the heart of the mists. I would suggest having crafting stations and guild bank access within these instances and a merchant. (Perhaps those things could be upgrades via Architecture).

Also a sort of conference table with chairs you can actually sit on for meetings and get togethers. Maybe some other homely features such as a hearth, sofa’s, beds, cupboard etc. Maybe have it be a large house or a small keep with a nice garden (Swimming pool?) and a really small mini game like golem chess. (Just thinking as a go along here but kind of like Minister Wi’s Mansion in Divinity’s Reach’ Rurikton quarter).

Either way you get the idea, You could make all these little enhancements little or large upgrades under Architecture. It should be easy to make if its instanced and relatively small compared to home districts. Maybe give an option to pick between 3 types of ‘Houses/Keeps’ so guilds can pick one that suits their style best. Perhaps one with training dummies for pvp guilds for example.

As much as I’d love to Leeroy in as my Mesmer (and I do try most times), Temporal Curtains and Blinks and such only work so much especially multiple archers pretty much one shot me and then the prolonged aggro of other mobs tend to do me in as well when all my survival abilities are on CD.

So to be fair it’s not that weird to expect a heavy armoured profession to go in first. That doesn’t mean that they should act like tanks or be thought of as such. Far from it’s just simply their armour type that makes them less squishy and survive longer than a light armoured person (Not by much but some at least).

There’s this woman in Hoelbrak named Krystina Sohnstag who keeps repeating the same thing over and over and over it’s driving me insane when I’m trying to do some crafting in Hoelbrak. Half the time she doesn’t even complete her sentence before she repeats it again. Sound bug or?

Improve chat notification & Queue sound notification

I have a separate tab specifically for private messages (The idea being is that I won’t miss any) the problem is half the time the name of the tab doesn’t turn orange when I receive a new message on it so people end up thinking I’m ignoring them for ages when I’m distracted enough not to check for messages.

If it could turn orange every time I receive a message and maybe a non obtrusive sound notification for private messages would be great (optional of course).

Also one other unrelated thing a sound notification for queue pop ups would be great as I’d be waiting to travel to non overflow or WvW etc. and end up missing the pop up because I’m tabbed out looking at something which is incredibly annoying.

I’ve been thoroughly enjoying the dungeons and don’t think they should be changed in difficulty. Yes it’s frustrating and hard the first time around in explorable mode but with persistence it’s doable. It’s brought me a lot closer to people in my guild as we learn things together come up with tactics and such. Once you get past the first time around doing them again is A LOT easier. A lot of people just simply don’t have the patience to work through learning them which is the real problem behind the complaints. The dungeons should stay this hard.

As for rewards yes having to grind them as much as you have to do now is a bit annoying but that’s the point of the dungeon gear to show off that you are really good. The really skilled players/groups should have a reward for being skilled. I do think perhaps less tokens for each armour piece so it’s less grindy? Having to do 8/10 runs for 1 armour piece is a bit steep. Maybe 3 or 4 runs per piece (depending on what it is) should be more than adequate to show a persons skill.

The only complaint I have is fights where unless you have certain professions with you it’s near impossible. They could do with a little balancing to allow for all professions to be able to contribute more positively. I often found myself in some fights to be near useless with my squishiness and medium damage. Other than that so far things have been fine (First 3 dungeons I’ve done).

I kind of agree with this, Mesmers rely heavily on tricking people and without this defense we are sitting ducks. Mesmers are quite squishy. I would like to see this changed slightly as well. People just have to learn to pick out the real Mesmer from illusions (which is very much possible) so only people who play the Mesmer really well can stay undetected long enough to have a shot at winning.

I’ve always had this issue as well where I’m stunned or captured by roots/nets/webs, I blink then it sort of glitches and you are stuck for a couple of seconds before you can move again.

It’s very much possible, I did it both in Beta and in the released game. They actually adjusted the mushrooms slightly in the released game and added a chest at the top. There was no chest at the end in Beta and it was harder to get to.

They altered the mushroom before the one that’s giving people issues now so that you are less likely to plummet all the way down but instead can fall towards the big branch underneath it. I found it a lot easier to do now. You should’ve been in Beta if you think it’s bad now! Here you can see how the mushrooms at the top were different in Beta:

It’s the hardest of the 3 paths for sure. We ended up being able to do it when we all pretty much swapped to heavy damage output to get the burrows/breeders down quickly and finally managed to pull it off with guardian, two warriors, thief and mesmer (myself).

I had to swap to sword/pistol from my usual weapon choices to help pull it off and swap traits for better damage outputting ones. Your best bet is to run around the mount while you hit it and pay attention to your screen for if it’s obstructed or not.

I do agree it’s an incredibly annoying bug and hope it will be fixed unless it was intended that way which seems unlikely.

Mantra of Pain bug?

I noticed that Mantra of Pain takes 3 seconds to cast under water but 5 seconds on land. Is this a bug or was it meant to be that way? Seems a bit odd that Mantras are made far easier to use underwater than on land when under water is generally far more forgiving/easier and the 3 second cast would be more favourable on land.

Also speaking of which I wouldn’t say make mantras 3 second casts because that would be over kill but it would be great if Mantras could be 4 second casts instead of 5 or even 4 and a half second casts it would make them more feasible to use. Or at least if you keep the 5 second casts to make more of them without CD like the Mantra of Concentration is the last in the list of abilities I would pick because it’s only useful in sPvP and that is only in very specific situations making other abilities far more favourable.

I’m not sure if this is meant to be like this but this seems a bit over kill in mob spawning, is this a bug?

Edit: Also the last explorer in the event is not there, We looked all over and can ‘hear’ someone call out but there isn’t anyone at that location or anywhere else anywhere in the cavern so we can’t complete the event.

Wait, is it when you channel the mantra or when you trigger it?

Personally I’m running 10/15/0/25/20 for a phantasm stack build, also nice with the regen from phantasms. Dunno….just never really liked the idea of mantras, that 3-4second original cast time feels like an age in combat. Also your build isn’t really a defensive build, as I said its offensive with defensive utility which isn’t what the OP was after.

When you finish casting the mantra it heals yourself and your party members al though I have noticed the range of it isn’t huge but you can run while casting it so you can quickly get near to someone who needs healing to top them up.

With the trait of being able to use the mantra three times before having to cast it again those 5 seconds are realistically divided between 3 uses and so it’s not really as long as it feels. I did notice some other mantras have cooldowns. I initially tried the healing one but hated it especially as the heals felt small in comparison to the wait for the CD and the time it took to channel it. The damage one you can keep spamming as it has no CD as such.

Edit: Also about it being an offensive build yes it is but it’s also a defensive build because when I use the staff in fights I can use the Chaos Storm, Confusion with the scepter, Slows/Knock’backs’ with Temporal curtain. Then I tend to use blink but that’s my personal preference, When required I swap that around.

Then I use mantra of pain which heals and then depending on fight I use feedback/null field/signet of compassion/poison (I’m asura) and for elite skills either Time Warp or the Moa at the moment (Moafiying bosses ftw) so I very much play a control/supportive/heal/remove conditions roll and being offensive.

Edit 2: Also I forgot that the 20 inspiration makes it so phantasms give retaliation/regeneration. In domination I make it so clones cripple foes when they are killed and shattering illusions cause vulnerability.

Who said you can’t do awesome damage while being supportive The remaining points I’ll be putting in Illusions.. Most likely.

I think being able to heal your party members every 10 or so seconds has been incredibly useful. You also don’t need full traits for that to be effective. I only have 20 points in Inspiration to get the ‘Heal allies when you cast a mantra’ trait and then 30 in domination with ‘Mantras being able to be cast 3 times’ which allows you to use Mantra of pain three times as almost instant casts which do decent damage and then each time you channel the mantra you also heal all your nearby party members. You essentially to damage while healing.

This is the only mantra I use so I wouldn’t call it a mantra build. I use a greatsword and scepter/focus, I also bring a staff with me so I can easily swap the greatsword for the staff when required.

(I’m lvl 60 something at the moment, Don’t really keep track of levels either way it’s worked great for me many times in exDungeons. Not tried it in PvP)

Edit: I forgot to mention it also heals yourself so it’s almost like a second heal while you’re doing damage. The only downside is the cast time which is about 5 seconds but not that hard to fit in and definitely saved my own life and my party members many times.

5) Mesmer. This one isn’t per say a defensive proff but there are so really cool thins you can do with the chaos tree+staff. You dont have heals but you do a crap ton of random boons that last for ages while at the same time applying some quite crippling debuffs. Weakness+protection = no damage.

This isn’t entirely true, Mesmer’s CAN directly heal allies. If you put 20 points in the Inspiration trait line you can pick the ‘Heal allies when you cast a mantra’ then when you finished channelling the cast for a mantra lets say ‘Mantra of Pain’ for example you will heal allies for a fair amount (If they are near enough to you). So you can heal your party every 10/15 or so seconds using that method, I use it in dungeons

Engineers, Mesmers, Elementalists, and Guardians are good for healing/support roles but like mentioned above there isn’t really a specific healing roll and all healing abilities that affect other players are minor in comparison to your own heal that you get.

They really aren’t no idea why people keep thinking that Mesmers are OP the only difficult thing about them in PvP is trying to spot the right one. I’d say the Ranger is pretty OP, One ranger managed to kill me and a guardian in no time 2 vs 1

As for pve it’s hard to say Warriors are pretty steamwaltzy, Thiefs, Elementalists all do some nice damage if played well.

If you want an easy class you’ll probably want Elementalist I found them really easy to get the hang of. But it’s all very much personal preference. I think it depends entirely on the person behind the profession and not as much on the profession itself.

Dungeon party makeup

I’m a Mesmer and I’m generally the one to pull the mobs initially because I can use Temporal Curtain to slow them down/pull them back and blink to quickly move back. I can also use Feedback on any archers and I have a very long range which gives everyone time to put down their slows/aoe’s etc. Do some damage before the mobs reach us.

I’ve done AC with a fully ranged group (Granted it was Story mode) and that actually ended up working better than a mixed group. Over all though generally I’d say mixed groups are best for explorable mode dungeons. One of everything sort of thing to be fair though it’s depends a lot on the dungeon. exCM has a lot more ranged mobs than exAC had.

All in all I don’t believe there is a ‘perfect’ group setup. I’m pretty confident that you can do all dungeons with all profession setups as long as you have skilled people and different builds. (At least the first two).

Hey, I’m the leader of Destiny’s Edge on Desolation EU and here is a list of bugs/complaints I have about the guild system that I hope will be addressed.

- My number one complaint is the Guild Armour it’s far too expensive considering the fact that it looks awful, Sorry but it just doesn’t look very well made and it doesn’t go well with all the nice looking detailed higher up gear. For the price I would’ve expected something detailed, awesome looking that will go with most outfits. Same goes for the Guild Weapons they look pretty awful al though at least they aren’t overpriced so I don’t mind those as much. Please add some nicer guild armour alternatives that you can sell for the higher price and make the current ones more affordable (20 silver).

- Can’t add/stack items in guild vault, You have to take the items out, stack them in your inventory then put them back in. This is really quite tedious. A separate tab for crafting materials (Like the one you get in your own bank) would be so helpful as well as the crafting materials just take over the bank far too much. Maybe an option in your inventory to deposit crafting materials in guild vault.

- MOTD would be nice to be able to edit the message rather than having to rewrite it entirely each time.

- I would love a way to tell when the last time was a member logged in and how long they haven’t been representing for. With a large guild it’s hard to keep track of whose been on how long or who hasn’t been representing much. It would also be great if we could see the last character the person was logged in with in the roster so we can see their profession, level and crafting professions. Also the sorting filter system doesn’t really work well either.

- A chat channel for certain members of the guild would be greatly appreciated (Admin/Officer chat).

- Maybe an option to see the dots of guild members on your map would be cool too although that’s just an idea.

- A way to queue for WvW as a guild. What I mean by this is that when a guild wants to do WvW together someone can do a ‘join as guild group’ option which makes a window pop up for all online guild members where they can agree to come along or not (A bit like personal story line instances). Then you get put in queue as a group and when there’s enough room for all of the guild members that wanted to come you all join at the same time. (Perhaps have a limit of 20 people to keep things fair).

Or at least some sort of method that makes it easier for a guild to do WvW together, I always felt like WvW was made for guilds to war against other guilds over keeps not just entire worlds (It is guild wars after all :P) but it’s almost impossible on some worlds to group up because of the insane waiting queue’s. At least with the above method you might have to wait longer but you all get in together.

Anyway, Those are my suggestions, ideas, bug reports and complaints. Thanks for reading.
