C0000005 error is usually caused by the video card driver try reinstalling, updating, or installing an older driver. Also if you recently replace your vide card and you didn’t get all of the old cards drivers off your system.

Check with your campos IT admin it may be as simple as port forwarding. I know there has been some issues with campos Internet connections but most have got them worked out. Also I think it has been mentioned that the game download is similar to a bit torrent but not realy sure if that’s true you may need to download the game off campos then try and play on campos. Maybe someone that is playing on a campos Internet will respond and give you more details on what you need to do to get in game.

The project for the smartphone app was canceled and they decided to release game API instead for third party devolpment but not to much was done with it the API was very limited mainly to world event timers so nothing was ever developed as much as what was originally planned and some of it would have been a major security risk mainly the mail and chat from a smartphone. We get enough spam in game from gold sellers and in game email phishing scams without adding to it from an outside source.

Seem to me I read somewhere that the R9 290 cards have issues something about the card using an older GPU processers and AMD over clocking them and calling it a new card and the card series is having a higher then normal failure rate. I have been having HUGE problems with actually, my connection. I have also done everything freaken thing in the world to fix it (and i mean EVERYTHING, short of replacing hardware in my comp, which is my next step). But i found connectivity problems. Do a IP pathping, and check it at your ISP level. Thats what i found to be a issue. Related? I’m not sure. But its an issue. Youy can find a related forum topic somewhere around here on how to do it. Check for over heating when is the last time you had the case open on you system. If it’s been a while, open up your system check for dust build up this is a common problem even in the cleanest of homes PC are dust magnets. Get some canned air take it out side blow it out. With you system overclocked is your cooling system adequate. While your at it and you have the case open reseat all cards and connection. Next you may have an under rated or failing power supply check the rating on the label on the side of the power supply if it’s under 600Watts replace it. What brand is it some cheapo brands claim their PSU deliver the power but that rating may only be peak and not continuos. This game will drive your system harder than any game out there and with it being overclocked you want a PSU that can handle it. Is there any apps or programs running in the background that is trying to access the video card, apps like weatherbug, messenger apps that pop open. I see your are using Skype try disabling it see if that solves your issue Skype is not gamer friendly and is know to cause issues in some games are you running iTunes, the iTunes update pop up has caused this in some games. What antivirus are you using how well is it rated for gaming try disabling it while you play. Try using Avast or Windows Security Essiantials.

As fare as the need to change your password, the sender of these email. Don’t have access to your account they are picking you at random probably from some automated modded client. Just report and delete as long as you have not followed the instruction in the email and given them any account info you are safe changing any log in credentials will not stop this. What the scammer is hoping for is that you over react not notice that the email was not sent by Anet and respond to it and give them your account info. What’s sad is how many accounts get hact this way and the owners don’t know what to do to get there account back I wonder if there is more Anet can do like make the warning text bigger and maybe flashing add filters to the email system that blocks sending email. With key word like “account will be shut down or closed” or any combination with the same meaning putting a big warning message in the game start up screen, that sort of thing.

Sadly not everyone who plays Guild Wars 2 use the forums and thus, doesn’t see the warnings about such things. This is why I suggested not too long ago for an in-game warning video similar to a Renowned Heart NPC should be done in-game for a one-time announcement to make sure as many players as possible get the message on this:

Yes but it clearly states at the bottom of these emails that it’s not from Anet, that should give them the first clue.

You did this to yourself there have been warning all over the forums about this and that Anet will never contact you with in game mail about account issues. So contact support right now submit a ticket and hope and pray you don’t lose everything at least get Anet to lock you account till they can get it sorted out for you. This may take some time to get it straightend out so be patient they are have to deal with a heavy old in support tickets over last weekend sale.

C0000005 error usually has to do with video card drivers. try updating, downgrading, or reinstalling the driver. If at some point in time you replaced the video card and didn’t completely uninstall the old driver this could cause it to.

What do you have running in the background while you play this could be your issue check the task manager. You may be do for a windows reinstall, reformatting and reinstalling Windows at least once a year is a must you will suprized as to how your system will run after a reformat and reinstall. then get all the latest drivers including the commonly forgotten motherboard chipset drives network card drivers and sound. Before you reinstall all your apps and programs just install the game see if the game runs better than it ever did. My system specs are almost identical to yours exept my video card is older and I’m getting on average 80 to 90 fps with in game setting on high to medium and rarely drops below 30 in large groups. The secret is don’t clog up your gaming system with a lot of junk software.

I get better fps then that on my Acer dual core i5 with Intel HD440 graphics I get 30 to 40 fps with all low in game setting. Also I did a fresh intall of Windows when I got the laptop got rid of all the junk software Acer put in it including Mcgaffees antivirus major resource hog, I just run security essentials on it. I suggest you do the same clear out all junk you don’t need don’t run anything in the background Skype, iTunes any game performance boosting software Steam get rid of it all then try the game on low setting and set your Windows power management setting to high performance when plugged in to ac power. Then only play with the power adapter plugged in you shoul be fine the game won’t be pretty but you can play.

As far as I could tell from the information given the new area is going to be one large zone with 3 levels, the roots the lowest level, the jungle floor the middle level, and the jungle canopy the upper level. This looks to me that there will be only one map, the largest in the game with these 3 levels. I could be wrong but this is the way I inturprited it from what was said at PAX, so we will have to wait to see.

If you have the rights to download the conten like this game then there no problems, but the software that’s the ISPs use to track bit torrent can’t tell if the content is legal or not so it throttle or tries to block it but if you use a proxy then sometime you can full the tracking software and get the game to download.

The serial key is your proof of purchase have you checked your email it could just be berried realy far back or did you delete it. If you deleted it then you may have a problem but if you have record of the purchase then submit a ticket on this account your on the forums now with see what they can do, be peciant, there could be at least a week before the get back to you do to the overwhelming ticket volume from last weekend account sale.

So if you were not there then you most have let you friend log into you accout so your friend made the mistake. In the first place that’s against the user agreement, so I’m not sure it would be wise to contact support with this issue they will not help you and Anet may shut down your account. Yes the wait may be long do to the increased number of issue from the weekend sale, be patient they will get to you. Do not submit more tickets this will send you to the back of the line and you will have a longer wait. Look like it can take as much a week to get a response.

In the Windows power managment setting set to high performance when plug in to the power adapter do not disable the on board video that is used to maintain a good battery life when doing lower level graphics stuff while using the battery in the laptop. Setting to high preformance will force the laptop to run on the the better video card and do some other things to give you better game play then only play the game with the power adapter plugged in.

I know that the sale going on now is a great way to get people to try this game but after the sale I just had a fantastic idea Anet could creat some way that our account could generate a buddy key to give out to family or friends to get them to play. These accounts would be short time maybe 48 hour and have no access to the in game Mail, and very limited chat access to prevent scammers using these accounts Then if they like the game and buy it they use the same key in the purchase process. This would give give us credit and we could get gems for every completed game purchase.

Sounds like you key binding got corrupted delete your local.dat file, not sure of the full path but its in APPDATA the game will creat a new on when you run the game then redo all your in game setting.

Most likely not, DX12 according to Microsoft will only be released in Windows10 you may not see to many existing games being reworked for DX12 and Windows10 any time soon after the Windows8 fiasco but who knows there are rumors that you will be able to play Xbox games on 10 so there will not be any shortage of game to play on 10, just not GuildWars2 at least not to its full potential maybe GuildWars3. It’s cool that Windows10 upgrade will be free to 7 and 8 users looking at 10 I like it better than 8 let’s hope Anet is working with 10 so there or no issues for the game when 10 come out we will most likely need to run Guildwars2 in compatibility mode if we do upgrade.

People tend to get lag and fps issues mixed up, lag symptom are usually when your character is running along and it suddenly stops then spring forward. This called rubber banding, or sometimes you cast a skill, and there is a delay befor the skill is executed. When you have a fps issue the frame per second are slow causing the screen to be choppy a playable fps is 30 fps or more optimal is 60 fps or more. In your case I’m guessing your are having an fps issue unfortunately the problem lies with your CPU the game runs better on intell base precesses. While the game can utilize multiple cores it runs on a single thread witch AMD processers don’t do very well at. Since most of the game is rederd in the CPU then there is your issue. Some have had a little increase in performance with over clocking. Also do not run any other programs or apps in the background leave less load un the CPU the better.

I’m assuming this is a laptop install the game befor you leave on your trip problem solved. Depending on you connection speed will determen how well the game plays without lagging also if your are going to log in from multiple locations make sure you have access to the email address you have your account was created with because you will need to authenticate for every location when the ip changes. Buying the CD version of the game is not a good idea, the game has changed so much since the game was released on disk that you almost have to download as much as you would if you installed it online. They never updated the disk version.

There are aspects of GW1 and 2 that I like over the other if they would have left the whole game the way it was eliminate the instance based game play of GW1 and made it open World like GW2 they would have had a game that would of been awesome that was GW1s number one complaint the instance going into the world in groups.

About the only hope this game could have to servive after Anet closes it down is to release the code to the community to run this has happen in the past with some old single player games but not sure if it ever happen with an MMO it would be realy cool if this were to happen but I realy do think it could. The more I read about this issue the more it makes me think it’s an Internet or ISP issued, people that have found work around have done so with changes that effect there Internet connection or it just cleared up on its own. There also could be an issue with how you connect wifi or Ethernet cable, if it’s wifi try a cable. Here’s a thought try to check for latest drivers for your network hardware or firmware updates for routers.

If it were a GuildWars issue than it would effect everyone I’m not having this issue and never have had an issue with this game so fare everyone of my in game freinds and guildies have got the patch without an issue. So no this is no effecting the majority of players is so how come there are so many in game. Keep trying I’m sure a solution will come soon . The reason that I never have any issues may be do to the fact that I only run the game and TS on my gaming system I don’t have a ton of junk software running in the background.

It’s the Internet, number one complaint for all online gaming is lag, not sure what to tell you but maybe it will clear up just keep trying there are a numbe of threads on things you can try but with the state if the world right now and cyber terrorism other factors and your location you will lag and others will not, also other factor like how many people are on the same connection at your home, downloading and streaming media while playing the game will cause lag. Are you connected to the Internet by wifi or an Ethernet cable, if you game get a cable wifi sucks for gaming to many devices shearing the same radio spectrum can cause you to lag and drop connection. Internet bandwidth being sold of to the highest bidder, ISPs throttling your connection or rerouting you to lower bandwidth lanes and checking everything you send and receive for copyright infringement. More and more media companies streaming HD video the list and reasons go on. Yes there are time that Anets server have an issues but these are rare and I can say that 99% of all lag issues are outside of Anet’s servers and beound their control. Good luck

Go back to 7 or 8 or run in compatibility, Anet does not support 10 yet and may not support it even after it is officially released. It took them some time to officialy support 8 after it was released, so good luck.

Have you tried running the installer in admin mode and turning off all security ativirus, malware, and firewalls both Windows and router.

The problem whether you want to beleave it or not is the any PC game company can not test for the millions of different system combination out there so they don’t try anymore so if you want a trouble free game experience then you are going to have to get all the crap off you system I’m sorry to say this but any true gamer that commits to a game need a system free from junk software. My gameing system is just that my gaming system. I have 3 systems 2 PCs and a laptop. One is my gaming PC second is my web surfing and everything else PC and the third is my laptop. My first PC, my gaming PC I just have the game and teamspeak nothing else. I use Windows security essentials for antivirus more or less just in case but I don’t do any web stuff or downloading except for what’s is required for the game updates and driver updates also this PC is connect directly to my router with a Ethernet cable, no Wifi for gaming. The game even runs better with out the crap in the background so if you want to be a true PC gamer then game and get rid of the crap you don’t need get a second system for that, the best way to get your system fixed is to reformat a reinstall Window, all the drivers and the just the game I realy think this will fix 95 % of all the the game issues out there and with some of the Internet issues get off Wifi run a cable.

No problems here downloaded and installed the patch in less then 5 minute on both my PC and laptop everything is running as it should there could be several reason why some are having issues while others are not. I think one may be something you have installed on your system I run my gaming PC with very little installed and only run the game and teamspeak, so if this is a server side issue the shouldn’t it effect everyone

How full is your hard drive mainly your C drive if it to full than that may be your issue, not enough space for the Windows swop files and also to many apps and programs running in the background. A failing hard drive could cause this also. If you don’t have one a solid state drive will improve loading times greatly. These drives are more reliable nows days and are getting cheap. You can get a 120GB drive for under $70 and a 240 GB for under $100. Make this your C drive reinstall windows all the needed driver and just the game don’t overload a solid state drive.

If you are having slowing issue on your current system then maybe it’s time to do a format and reinstall of Windows. Computers just don’t slow down with age that’s a myth the reason it slowing is that Window has issues that over time cause your system to slow do to Windows inability to purge itself of unneeded code stuff like registy errors crappy third party apps and programs that leave stuff behind after you have uninstalled them bloatware over protective anivrus. I try and do this once a year, it’s like getting your systems speed back when it was new.

An i5 or better processor, stay away from anything AMD even video cards the game seem to have less issues with the NVIDIA cards. Since the game is rendered mainly in the CPU a mid level card is more than adequate for this game. It is recommended to get a solid state hard drive, this will help load in and zone times. At least 8GB of ram with Windows 7 or 8 64bit do not use the 32bit version of windows for its 3.5 memory allocation limit.
