No leave it there I’m thinking for some reason you are just losing the desktop icon not the whole game, not sore why this is happening to you, but till you get it sorted out just use the gw2.exe to start the game in that folder. What Antivirus are you using maybe your AV is thinking the game is a threat and Quarantining the game. Some have had a lot of issues with Norton’s and GuildWars2.

The ip location system is not accrate it never has been and I think it’s a good thing it not do you really want people to know where you live plus what has this got to do with Guildwars support?

One commen problem people are having with upgrading to Windows 10 is the fail to check for updated motherboard chipset drivers. If those drivers are not up to date then you will have all sorts of problem, also while your at it look into bios updates to some motherboard manufacturers have released bios update for related Windows 10 issues.

Did you move your graphic card to a different slot to make room for the new cooling system, if so that’s your issue the graphics card has to be in the slot closest to the CPU.

Must laptops have 2 graphics, the onboard Intel graphics and the mobile NVIDIA card make sure the game is running on the NVIDIA card and not the onboard Intel graphics. One way to do this is to set Windows power management to high preformence when plugged in and only play the game with the power adapter plugged in. This will force the laptop to use the NVIDIA card all the time you have the power adapter plugged in. You don’t what to do this on battery because it will drain your battery very quickly

Get a second hard drive they are cheap you can buy a 1G drive for under $50. How big is your current, drive sounds to me you just have way to much crap on it, also it has always been a good rule to keep at least 30G free for Windows to run properly. It is most likely it not really Guildwars but the Windows swap file just getting bigger while you are playing which is normal, especially if you have only 4G ram.

There one issue with guild hall decorations that kind of bothers me, if you place something anyone cane come along and move or change it. You could declarative some little out of the way corner of the guild hall get thing setup just the way you want it just to have someone come along and mess it all up.

Have you tried running a traceroute or ping path you can’t blame your ISP without proof. Also do you connect to your cable router over wifi if so that may be an issue.

If this is a technical issue you may get a faster response by posting the issues here, maybe someone on this forum can help you sort it out. If it’s an accout issue then you will just have to wait it out being its going into the weekend you may not get a response till Monday or if you do it will most likely be an automated response more or less saying they received your ticket. Do to an exploit that happen a while back some people were able to get HoM points without doing anything in GW1 so Anet shut down the Whole HoM point system till they had time to fix it. A couple of months ago they fixed it but there was no easy way to tell who got their points the legit way by playing GW1 and completing the things you need to get the points so they set everyone back to Zero as far as GW2 was concerned. The exploit did not change the points in GW1 only the points that were reported to GW2. So to get your points back all you have to do is log into your GW1 account and this will reset your point back to what you had before and get your titles back.

So the OP is blaming Anet for not excepting Paysafe cards. It’s your fault you didn’t check to see what method of payment Anet excepts you need to contact Paysafe see if you can get your money back, this is not up to Anet to help you as fare as I can tell you made a mistake deal with it. Always check the online perchase site for any game, retailer, or service to see witch method of payment they except, don’t assume anything

No you system is to old get a new one also there is a problem with AMD processors and the game. If you are able to get a new system look into getting an Itel i5 or better.

No crashes here, it’s most likely you have to many craptastic programs and apps running in the background. Clean up your system and most likely this will solve your issue. With your logic that It’s something wrong with the game then everyone would be crashing and that’s just not the case, good luck!

Since COHERENTUI_HOST.EXE is a form of a web browser that runs the Back Lion Traidung Post, it looks like you have a virus running duplicates of it. I have seen this happen with Internet Exporer and other browsers the get infested with certent viruses Good luck.

It up to the guild to use the guild halls guilds need to give there members a reason to go there. They need to plan events and hold meeting and get togethers in the halls. Back in the the days of GuildWars1 my guild used the guild hall quite a bit we met in there to plan the things we were going to do. So if your guild hall isn’t being used maybe you could suggest some events with the declarations you could plan parties and all sorts of stuff be creative and help get your guild involved in the hall.

When I first started the expansion I would have agreed with the OP, but I got the glider and mushroom mastery quit quickly and now I’m injoying it more I was really afraid that I couldn’t do it but it’s really easy getting around a lot easer then Dry Top or Silver Waists I could never get the hang of those skills to get up the side of cliffs and stuff.

Also it would be really cool if we could construct one of these in the guild halls.

Have you all found the water slide this is a really cool thing they added to the game in the Forgotten City, although it would have been more fun if it was a little longer, but still fun addition to the game. Pay people to temporarily join your guild get enough to cap the guildhall, and, pay them off and kick them out if you want to keep it a small guild.

When capping a guild hall and you pay the 100g and the 150 favor and you fail do you have to pay again to try again?

The one flaw I see in guild hall decorations is that anyone that has the permission to decorate can erase or move that persons decorations. Should be a way that once placed only the person that place it can change it or at least add another permission to allow someone higher in the guild rank to change it if someone add decorations that the guild leader or guild as a whole doesn’t like.

I agree I think it should require HoT to cap a guildhall but once capped it should be open and all it features should be available to all members of the guild. Unforunitly there could be programming issues that will not let Anet open all feature to all players With the guildhall part of HoT this may not be passable.

I got the same error message resetting my cable modem cleared it for me.

A while back there was a game exploit that allowed people to get max title without completing anything in GW1 so Anet had to turn off HoM system till they had the time to fix it. I think it’s been fixed but to get your points back you have to log into GW1 this was part of the fix to prove you had the earned points. If for some reason you can’t get back into GW1 then you will have to submit a support ticket here on this site using the GW2 support system it may take some time to get a responce because they don’t handle GW1 support tickets as a top priority and with all the support issues with HoT don’t expect to get help anytime soon.

Google has several data center all over the world. I can’t find an accurate number but it rumored to be around 50 and the game only has 2 so comparing Google ping to the game is not an accurate. You are most likely closer to a Google data center than you are to the games data center there are 2 data center for Guildwars 2 one in the US in Texas and one in the EU in Germany. So if you live to for outside those 2 regions than good luck your going to have high ping.

For those of you still on the 32bit version of Windows you will need to get the 64bit version this is a known issue with GuildWars2 and has been a recommended fix ever since the game has been released. You don’t have to buy a new OS just download the 64bit version of your Windows version it a free download for 7, 8, and 10, not sure about Vista but if you are running 7 or 8 you can upgrade to 10 for free and I think 10 only come 64bit.

Before blaming the game check you system OOM erroes can be cause from a number of reason outside the game. The first is running 32bit version of Windows you may need to install the 64bit version the second only having 4megs of ram installed you will need to up it to 8megs the next and must common running to many craptasic apps and programs in the background. One if those most likely has your memory leak. Also viruses and malware can cause this issue. If it were a memory leak then everyone would have this issue and that’s not the case. Good luck

It looks like to me, looking through all the related threads on this issue is with purchasing the game from a third party vendor or retailer. the one that stand out the most is G2Play.net so there you go that’s why I’m posting this info and yes I do read that’s why I posted this here because a few stated they didn’t buy from the official GuildWars2 site.

I think the first thing to do is contact the retailer you bought the key from and tell them it didn’t work. Anet is not responsible for third party retailers and most likely will not help you espicialy if they were not authorized to sell the keys in the first place. Sites like G2Play have had this issues with other games so you need to check this stuff out before you buy any game online. It’s just best to get the game from the games web site.

It’s not NCsoft, like is said it’s the credit card processing company they use I think it’s called Playnix or something like that. There are other game distributors that use the same credit card processing service this is the norm in a lot of online transaction if there is the slightest issue with a card it may get declined also I think by law the card processing service can decline the transaction as much as 72 hours after the perchase.

Have you resantly did a charge back on the card you perchased the game with, your credit card account can get red flagged if you do a charge back. The card processing services NCSoft uses is really strict any issues with your card like charge back or reporting fraudulent activity in your card gets red flagged and can make it tough for you to use that card online check your statment did they charge your card.

Where did you all perchase the expansion from, if it’s not the official web site or one of the atherised retailers then most likely you have been scammed and you got bogus keys you will all have to submit a ticket with support to resolve this issue no one the forums can realy help.

This has happened in other games on PlayOn Linux not sure why but hopefully someone higher up will see this post and look into it for you. You also may want to contact the Play on Linux development team and see if they might contact Anet and help resolve this.

If there is a boxed copy of the game it will most likely not have any type of loadable media in it like a DVDs. It will just have a key that you enter to unlock HoT for those looking for a disk good luck PC Games are starting to get away from the need of a disk with the internet you really don’t need a disk any more. Yes some have slow or limited internet but you will just have to work around those limitations.

It has been suggested that Anet release the game on a GuildWars themed Flash drive I think this is a good idea flash drive are cheap and reliable plus they could add an In game utility to keep a running backup of the game in case you need to reload for some reason. I would buy one even though I already have the game and if they made different figure shaped drives they would sell a ton just because people would want to collect them.

It’s impossible for a gaming company to schedule any event around the live of everyone on earth it’s unfortunate that some miss these events, do to work, school or for what ever reason posting on the forums about it will not change that fact. Just think about it for these beta weekends to happen the game developers also put in long hours to get things ready and to watch the servers for issues. The point of these beta weekends is to get as many players in the game as passable and the weekend is the best time for this, most get weekends off. Is the video card inserted into the PCIE X16 slot, the slot closest to the CPU. This is a very common mistake made when building a system. Also download and install CPUZ and run it while you run the game in windowed mode this will tell if the wideo card is running at the correct speed it should be running on PCIE X16 anything less and that’s your issue.

There is an issue with a Windows component called DbgHelp.dll not sure what it is. Most Exeption c0000005 error are caused buy bad, corrupted video card drivers or parts of older drivers still installed with newer drivers. Good luck

Never herd of Glasswire but I wouldn’t worry about the game being a threat just bypass the warning and play. Also I’m thinking that Glasswire requires payment from the software companies to get signed and Anet is not going to do that. This has been a growing trend on the Internet to get money out of companies for some bogus certifications. These companies are popping up everywhere, I’m suprized it took them this long to get into the Internet security racket. If Glasswire will not let you play the game without it being signed then that’s a big red flag that this company is not lagit, get a new security software.

The simple answer is no, you need a windows based system to get any kind of performance out of any low end system. The minimum system I ever got GuildWars2 to run on was a Atom Baytrail quod core with Intel hd4400 graphics in windows7 with all in game graphic setting to lowest got about 20fps in open PVE as soon as I got around any group of players the fps dropped like a stone to unplayable levels. I never have tried to play the game much on that netbook. If you are looking into some type of low end net book or laptop that will let you play the game at any playable level you going to need to look at at least an i3 or better with at least 4gig of ram you could get by with the at least the Intel HD 4400 graphics but you are going to want something with a Invidia or AMD. The game will not be pretty but with the in game settings set to low the game will be playable if you stay out of WvW. If you are planning to play in WvW you are going to need quite a bit better system. I play from time to time on my Acer laptop it only has a dual core I5 and Intel HD graphics but with a little tweaking I was able to get as much as 40 fps with medium to low in game setting not great, but playable I only paid $399 for the laptop at Microcenter I didn’t buy this laptop with the intent of playing games it was ment for a portable audio recording studio but I just thought I give GuildWars a try.

Module: nvd3dum.dll Is the issue it may be corrupted or part of and older driver, I suggest completely uninstalling your video drivers and reinstalling them.
