Anet can make any naming policies they want to whether a name I exeptable or not you agreed to the terms and conditions when you bought the game whether you chose to read them or not. Since cannabis is considered a drug then whether it is legal or not most likely they will make you change it. Save yourself the hassle, pick a different name

Maybe but I think the game patch is sent from a different server then the game download servers.

I’ve been afflicted by the same-ish issue. It was annoying before, but now the game locks up my tower within seconds of pressing play every single time, sometimes within one second of clearing the loading screen. Can’t even submit a ticket in-game. Started around an hour after they patched the game at the end of that PAX stream earlier today.

Exception: c0000005 Most of the time it is a corrupt dll in the video driver or and older driver you may. need to uninstall. Also sometimes other application running in the background like a game capture and recording app. Also there are know viruses and malware that can cause this to

As a veteran player since GuildWars2 beta and GW1 beta I’m all for the core game going free to play. This was suggested back in GW1 when Factions and Nightfall came out to make Prophecies free and the need to buy the expansion that followed I don’t think there will be to much problems with gold sellers and bottling because the new free account have to have some type of authentication on it and with the chat and trading restriction I don’t see this becoming that big of a deal.

Did you get all the drivers for you system like the motherboard chip set drivers?

There was going to be in iPhone app to do a lot of things in the game from a phone and chat was one of them but I think they killed the idea because there could have been serious issues with outside chat spam getting into the game. I think a very good phone app would be to see who on your friends list or guild is in game and the ability for guild leaders to send push notification to a phone app for guild events would be fantastic

In resent days the rumor that Apple may be switching all their new systems to the ARM processor has pop up on the internet again if this happens say goodby to GuildWars2 on any new Macs.

The difference could be the number of players on that server you are pinging it that time. Since GW1 is mostly dead you going to get a lower ping then GW2

I get on average 80 to 100fps on my i5 system but in large zergs it drops to 25 to 30 sometimes lower. There is no system on the planet that will run this game at much more than 30fps in large zergs in WvW this is the way this game is. I have nothing running in the background but sometimes TeamSpeak. So if you want to run a bunch of crap while you play then that’s your problem Good luck with that.

It sounds like you have way to much craptasic apps running in the background.

With today release of Final Fantasy 7 on IOS I don’t see any reason GiuldWars1 couldn’t be ported over to the mobile platform. The first PC I played the game on had fare less power then today’s mobile devices. This would bring new life to that game and generate more income for Anet. They are charging $16 for FF7, I’d gladly pay that much if not more to be able to play GW1 on my phone or ipad.

If it was the severs then it would effect everyone, I just logged in no issues ping was at around 70 that’s a little high for me I’m more at 40ish but no problem logging loading or zoning.

Your system is infested with malware, I did a Google search on myradioplayer.dll this is the modual that is causing your issue this dll is malware, you need to remove it. There are guides online to remove it, just deleting it alone will not get rid of it it will must likely reinstall itself.

99.9% of theses issues are Internet related the game runs fine if there is an issue with the game than EVERYONE would have the same issues and that’s just not the case here good luck.

It looks to me there is a problem somewhere within the EU with the Internet. It would be helpful if you gave your location and ISP this will help to see if it’s a localized issue with the Internet. If your are having issues logging in, I think the login servers for both EU and NA are located in NA so this could have somthing to do with it. I’m 99.9% sure that this is an internet issue and not the game

Yes it’s not the game because if it was the game then everyone would be affected. I’m not the friend I was playing with just now we’re not all the people playing around me were not at least no one said anything in chat they were lagging or got disconnected. Guess it must be something else.

Just remember there is a time delay for new accounst to transfer items and gold through the mail system so if you decide to start a new account you will have to wait, no sure how long it is but I think is a few days if not at least a week.

Most of the time this is caused by your ativirus or malware apps turn them off and the download should finish.

Did you run a trace rout or ping path also without your location no one can really help you. It’s most likely the Internet, the path it takes to get to the game servers 99.9% of all lag issues are external from the game there are a number of local (your I house network) that can cause lag. The biggest one is to many people on the same connection, if you live in a house or dorm with a shared connection good luck especially if they are all streaming like Netflix and YouTube. Are you streaming in the background DON’T this is the number one game killer is streaming crap while you play. Also wifi is becoming overcrowded if you live in an area with high wifi population and you connect to the Internet with wifi, try running an Ethernet cable to your router. With everything and the toilet connected to wifi these days, this is a big issue. Have you checked your system for viruses and malware that are hijacking your internet or sending you through a proxy server. Good luck and it’s not the game!

If you just updated to windows 10 most likely driver related, did you get all the latest win 10 driver not just the video card but the motherboard chipset drivers also

Check on EBay for a replacement keyboard they can be inexpensive. I replaced a keyboard in my friends kids laptop after he broke off the S key. The replacement keyboard was only $20 with shipping and was very easy to change out.

Go in to the graphic card utility app, uncheck 3D stereoscopic rendering.

The most common cause is the antivirus you are using turn it off or add the game to the exceptions list if it has one.

I don’t think you really being forced to use the sms authentication it’s just an option for account security. So fare I have not seen anything on my account forcing me to use this. Anet knows that not everyone that plays the game has a cellphone so it’s not mandatory its optional, good luck

Anet since you merged this thread I just started the you might want to post a sticky with similar information regarding upgrading to Windows10 it may help a lot of people that are planning to upgrade especially on older system. It’s all about getting the drivers.

Everything is fine here and I think I may have got a slight increase in fps on my system. For those that are having issues with Windows10 its most likely a driver related, did you get ALL the latest drivers including the most commonly overlooked motherboard chip set drivers. If you don’t install chipset driver this will cause issues with the video card

Post you system specs also have you got all the latest Windows10 drivers motherboard chipset and video card?

Make sure you have all the latest Windows 10 drivers from your hardware manufactures web sites including the commonly overlooked motherboard chipset drivers. Also if your are running an older system check to see if there are any windows 10 drivers available, if there not, then you may want to think about updating it might be time for a new system.

Sounds to me like an internet issues or are you using wifi to connect to your router if your router is old or you live in a wifi congested area. Also the number of people that are on the same connection at the same time can effect the game if your on wifi try running an Ethernet cable to you router see if it clears up. As a gamer I don’t run any streaming app in the background while playing a game this tends to cause issues good luck

Don’t realy on Windows10 to find all your hardwares latest drivers go to the manufactures hardware support website and get the latest windows10 drivers starting with your motherboard chipset drivers if theses drivers are not updated first then this may effect installing video card drivers. If your system is to old it may not have these drivers available check befor you upgrade to windows10

I’m not one to judge whether or not the OP did or didn’t buy gold from an RMT the point is the judgment seem to me to be to stringent. I can come up with several scenarios how this could effect someone totally innocent, one I have already stated that the RMT mistyped the account name sending it to the wrong account. Another could be that a guild member is kicked from a guild, said guild member want to get even. So he or she has access to Mommy and Daddy’s credit card or has a lot of disposable income. Goes to an RMT site and buys gold in the guild leaders name. It just takes the account name to get the gold delivered so anyone could buy gold from an RMT in anyone’s account name.

It seem to me that one good way to slow down RMTers would be some system in place that prohibits gold transfer to only people on your friends list and the person has to be friended for a period of time like 30 days and have certent amount of correspondence between the two, can transfer gold. Also someone would have to been in a guild for say 30 days and get at least one promotion to be able to use the guild bank to do deposit gold.

Just because it new doesn’t mean a whole lot computers can fail anytime. I don’t think it’s the video drivers if it worked fine for a while then started acting up it sounds like a hardware failure, most likely the video card. If it’s new take it back and get it replaced its good that it’s acting up now while it’s under warrantee, good luck

Get a bigger drive, SSDs are getting cheap and more reliable. Go for at least a 250 gig I only paid $89 For the 250 that I put in my laptop and since then they have gotten cheaper, then reinstall Windows on it. It is nice to have windows boot so fast it’s almost instant on

Also I would suggest to anyone that receives unsolicited gold in an ingame Mail don’t except it, contact support, hopefully this can be corrected.

I can see any of these scenarios happening, you should not get suspended or banned if you are sent gold from an RMT in the ingame Mail system as long as you don’t except it and you report it right away. There needs to be a system in place that detects whether you have excepted the mail containing the gold if you except the gold then you get banned, and if you get an email containing gold that you didn’t solicit from what ever source and you report the email and not except the gold no ban. I could see how devastating this could be if you are sent unsolicited gold and are accused of buying gold outside of the game, it could happen,

Read everything very carefully to get this to work I haven’t tried it because I like the sound track just the way it is but if you need a change the go for it

It could be possible that RMT is sending the gold to you by mistake some how they got the account name wrong could be the same name but the number is one off. Have you excepted the gold sent to you. Leave the gold in the email and contact support again and tell them that this may be the issue I think I read somewhere in the forum that after 3 suspensions it’s a permanent ban and the account is deleted I’m almost certent that this RMT discipline system is automated to a point this need to be looked into ASAP

There are a number of reason you are lagging on the same connection. One of the most common ones are you running to many apps that need an Internet connection. Are you streaming music or watching YouTube. Are you downloading anything while playing do you have any bit torrent apps running in the background. Are you using Skype, this craptasic app that is known to cause lag in games, if you need voice coms for gaming use the app design for gaming like TeamSpeak or Ventrilo. Is your system free from Internet high jacking viruses or malware, or are you being forced threw a proxy

Some had had this same issue and reinstalling the game in a new directory seems to fix it try reinstalling or moving to a new folder like C:\Games\Guildwars2 for some reason on some systems installing it to the default directory causes this issue.

If you bought the core game after January 2015 and before the prepurcase of HoT expansion and you have purchased the expansion and apply the expansion to that account you will get a refund. Now what I think has happened is that Anet’s refund system is automated and is using the standard refund message as if you purchased the game and decided that you didn’t like it and it was in the 30 day refund window. I really don’t think that Anet will make you start over again I think just keep playing on your account. I think Anet will make a statement in this thread soon to clear it all up.

Did you try deleting the local.dat file this file cantains your character location and may have gotten corrupted close out of the game and do a file search for local.dat. I think it’s in C\documents\user\%appdata%\ user would be your computer user name. After you have deleted this file the game will creat a new one when you restart the game and allow you to leave PvP area.

Guild names were never reserved from GuildWars1 to 2 this was a first come first served basis who ever registered the guild name first got it. I know a lot of guilds moved over from 1 to 2 you just had to get it first if you wanted to keep it. That was the first thng I did to keep the Furious Draguns reign[FDR] in the in the group of friend that stared it back in the day but now it mostly dead and it’s my storage guild but I still have it so there is not a lot that can be done. Like must of the others have said this is an issue the support team will not get involved in Good Luck.
