I’ve been looking into the same thing to be able to render 3D images to 3D print my in game characters I plan not to sell them or do anything for profit just would love my characters setting on my desk that would be the coolest thing ever. Anet your missing out on a golden opertunity to make money Please offer a service to pull the 3D image of players in game charaters as an SLI file so we can load them to a slicer and 3D print them I would be willing to pay as much as $20 for each character file!

Just might be the way the game works or the map may have to many players with minis out.

Stay on the i7 windows laptop, the MacBook will most like run the game but it runs it in a windows emulator so your not going to be happy with the look of the game because your most likely need to turn all setting medium to low to get any playable frame rates. Unfotunitly there in no native Mac game client but they were working on one not sure if they still are.

There was this guy in my guild in GW1 that played 2 accounts on to different computers and 2 different keyboards, he control one account character with his left hand an the other account character with his right hand he was amazing in GvG he was only in the Guild for a couple of weeks and left. I tried to get him back but he said the Guild wasn’t ranked high enough for him.

Go to any online game’s supppoer forum and the number 1 complaint is lag and disconnects, now if it was just A GW2 issue then there wouldn’t be an issue in any other game in the world but this is not the case if it was Anet, NCSoft, or any other part of the game with an issue then this would effect “EVERYONE” that is not the case. The only time I have ever had issues with the game is when the servers are having an issue “A REAL ISSUE” where Anet has come on to these forums and announced that they are having technical issues, or my isp is having issues I have been playing this game since release and can count on one hand how many time I have lost connection or have had lag and since the time this thread has started I have had no issues. So for those of you that can’t be convinced " IT’ S THE INTERENET" you might as well go play something else, because it not going to change anytime soon and it’s out of Anet’s control!

Like with all theses thread that have been started lately, there have been internet issues lately both in the US and EU, so far I have not been effected and nun of my ingame freind have been effected except for one in the Southwest US if this were a game server issue then everyone would be effected and that is just not the case not sure what anyone can do, you all need t ride it out this usually clears up on its own. Also if this were a game related issue Anet would be on these forums informing us of the ingame issues an telling us that it will be fixed just like they have in the past every time there has been a game issue.

For those of you that don’t understand how internet security works high ping and packet loss at the NCSoft servers are the servers rejecting the ping request for security reason not because The game is having an issue. It’s there Firewall, ping request are not normal game data so it gets rejected and you get high packet loss! As others have pointed out most all of you that posted ping plots have issues elsewhere!

No issues here in Colorado without a ping path report you don’t know where the issue is and it is most likely a node or backbone in the path you are bing routed to the server so fare in anther post it is locolised to the east cost US so you need to send ping path report to your isp they will contact the companies that maintain the rout to the game server inform them that there are issues. I have to disagree I’m east coast and was playing with friends from West Coast, Mid West, and we were all getting kicked every time we changed maps. Talking on TS so it wasn’t the internet because we never lost connections.

If you never lost connection of your TS server then there was no issues with the path to yourTS server. You oviusly don’t know how the internet works! That’s the Same wrong logic people try to use when they have connection issues “all my other games are working just fine so it must be Anet” different game different path to server. TS different path to server!

The reason behind Anet’s not telling us to much is the aditued most people have when the Devs say they would like to add this or that to the game and for some reason it doesn’t work out, to many people take this as a promiss and get real vocal on the forums and elsewhere that the Devs promised to add this new content and they didn’t deliver. Also other game Devs trull these forums and other sources to watch and steal ideas that are announced to erly.

I actually thought about the furnishing in Cautecus Manner if it was made into a Guild Hall, yes there would need to be a few changes, like removing most of the furniture and making some of the rooms bigger but just the style would be really cool.

Welcome to the internet folk, game server are fine 99% of all lag and disconnects are internet related and maybe less then 1% are server relate if there are any server issues Anet will and has always quickly posted on these forums and elsewhere that they are aware of the issue and will fix it as soon as possible in this case it’s the internet so good luck.

The issue most likely lies with a node or backbone between the game server and the area effected since it appears to be locolised to the east coast USA. If you post a ping path report you all may be able to track it down so fare I have not had any issues here in Colorado so the issue is the path your getting routed to the game server not the game server itself the only recourse you have is to send ping path reports to your isp they are the only one that can forward that to company that maintains the path your on. Just finished up the living story and got to thinking how Cautecus Manner would make an awesome Guild Hall, what do you all think or are there other places in the game that would make for a good Hall.

There has been server issues over night a this morning hopefully the are fixed now.

In my case, I get dc’ed every 10-15 minutes after a lag spike that lasted between 1-2 minutes. I gave up playing after that. If I’m lucky, I could get 30 minutes of gameplay without getting lagspikes that eventually lead to dc. Been like this since 2 days ago….I think.

Yours is an unrelated issue to the current one the servers are totally down right now yesterday played for several hours with no issues so your issue is most likely an ISP or internet related.

If anyone knows anything about how backup power works then you would know that they can’t run the whole dev system on backup power. The most a backup system give you is the time to save what your working on and then shut down. luckily the servers are in Texas and Germany or we will most likely not be playing at all!

There was an announcement a while back the Anet had a small team working on the new exspantion, not sure where this was but I’m positive it was official

Close out of GW2 and log into GW1 then go back into GW2 If this doesn’t work contact support.

This is not an issue that ANet needs to resolve it is not Anet fault Apple decide to redesign the keyboard. Like what has been posted above get a different keyboard if you want to continue playing. Or remap the keys problem solved.

Anet holds the gems for 72hr to protect the game economy, scammers and gold sellers were charging the game on bogus credit cards buying accounts, getting the gems, and changing them into gold to sell for real money. The 72 hr is to make sure there is no fraud going on, be patient you will get your gems.

Same here to the full messages but nothing to indicate how long a wait time. So there must be an issue p, hope they fix it soon.

One of the common Windows 10 issues is drivers, have you downloaded the latest win10 motherboard drivers and chipset drivers if you are using the generic drivers windows 10 installs this is most likely your issue. If the chipset drivers are not the correct driver for the chipset then this will cause issues with the video card drivers. Don’t use one of those craptastic driver install apps, get the drivers straight from the motherboard manufacturer.

For those of you that don’t know how Internet security works it is normal for Ncsoft to show packet loss this is the servers rejecting the ping request for security reasons not because the lag issue is on them. Also when posting lag issues it always best to give a general location like country/city, the lag is most likely a regional thing and not relate to the game servers. If Anet or NCSoft were having issues they would post in in the forums they have in the past. 99.9% of all lag is the Internet and most likely over crowding or technical issues like a bad node in a backbone some where.

Sorry it’s the Internet not a lot that can be done until Anet or NCsoft decide to creat more servers in different real world regions but I really don’t think there is a plan for it any time soon after the China failure. There was a rumor of servers opening up in South Korea but just a rumor, that would be closer for you if they did and hopefully they will be open servers like US and EU are.

Sorry this happen to you just count it as a life lesson, do some research before you buy stuff from the Internet. Most people know that G2A is a scam site. Maybe G2A is not the scammers but what G2A is is a retail front for indepenant sellers much like amizon and eBay are. So contact support you will have to perchase the expantion again and to play it safe get it direct from Anet. Then contact G2A you should be able to get a refund, it might take a little effort. Anet is not responsable for your mistake so be calm and polite when dealing with support, it may take a few days to get this mess made right. Good luck.

This is not an OOM ERROR it’s most likely being caused by a missing, corrupt DbgHelp.dll file or another program or app is calling this dll at the same time GuildWars is calling it. It might even be a virus corrupting the dll. Also coul be video driver related ,Good luck

Check you motherboard manufacturers web site for chipset drivers if those drivers are not up to date with Windows 10 then this will effect video drivers not working correctly. check all hardware for updated drivers for Windows 10

Save yourself a lot of hassle, if you are able to purchase from the official site then do so. There are a lot of third party sites selling scam keys don’t take the risk of getting ripped off.

If it took Anet 3 years to force you to change it then someone most have camplained about it but unfortunately there is nothing you can do about it but change it.

It may take some time to download the intire game again, a better idea would be to copy it off the unused hard drive. You could get a USB to Hard drive adapter or open up the new case an just plug in the drive and let it hang there till you get the game files of it. Depending on your internet speed it could take several hours to download.

Log out of GW2 then log into GW1, then log back into GW2 this should fix it, if it doesn’t you will have to contact support. This was a fix to a bug/exploit that allowed some to max out GWAMM without completing anything in GW1. They reset the pionts because Anet found it to be the easiest way to fix the issue.

That is normal it is the server denying the ping request your problem is elsewhere.

I’m not a fan of super hero stuff but to each his own. I don’t feel that any modern super hero costumes woul fit in the world of Guildwars2 but I did see some that have gotten real creative and made a combination of armor that resembles Spiderman.

This happen a lot in other industries especially in the auto industry, one year you by a car and you might have to pay extra for some options you like the next years model come out and those extra option become standard in the new car and new buyers don’t pay the extra price no one complains. Well I’ve seen this happen in othe games so it a common practice that has gone on for years nothing going to change so play and buy the expantion or don’t it’s your choice

Unforunitly this still happens from time to time but that’s the reason they added the need to enter the charature name to avoid these mistakes. It takes an accout role back to get your charature back something Anet will only do once pre account mainly for accounts that get stolen or hacked you can contact CS but most likely they will say no. But they may refund the gems but don’t count on it. Unfortunately you made the mistake so leave it to a life lesson double check what your are doing before that final click. The reason they are so strict on this is the potential for abuse. And fraud.

The error message you are getting is usually cause by another app running in the background or a corrupt or buggy video driver you need to post the whole error log to let anyone see what it causing it.

So are you saying to modify the code to change the look of the armor, I’m not sure you can do that. Back in the day of GuildWars1 there was a third party app called textmod that allowed you to do that and a lot of other fun stuff the the graphic an your screen. Anet never had an issue with it as long as it didn’t do anything to give you an unfair advantage in the game. Not sure but I think they have since Changed their policy to where you are not allowed Change the game in any way. They use to say you could use a third party app as long as it doesn’t effect the data to and from the servers, give you an unfair advantage over other players and the effect of the third party app would only be displayed on the client the app was used on. Also they would not supply support to you if you used any third party apps. So if the app broke you game it was all on you to fix it. But I’m not sure they still allow this anymore there is only on app that I know of that is kind of approve that is Overwolf.

First thing did you get all the latest drivers for Windows 10 or are you using the built in generic drivers. Don’t rely on Windows to get them for you yo need to go to the hardware manufactures web site and download and install them like the commenly forgotten Motherboard chipset driver and nic divers

This has got to be one of the best threads on Internet related issues I’ve seen, you guys did everything right instead of coming on ranting a how bad Anet’s servers are you guys got together posted you location and ISP and determined it was a local internet issue. Hopefully others will read this and see how a good thread on Internet issues should be done, if you have an Internet issue post you location and ISP and chances are this turns out to be a local issue and it will most likely clear up.

I realy don’t think you need a repair, its you graphics card not running at X16. open up the case pull the card out and put it back in, also double check to see if it’s in the right slot, the X16 slot that is closest to the CPU, make sure it is in all the way and nothing is under it like cables or wire. Make sure if the secondary power cables are plugged in if your card requires them must do.

Sounds like your local.dat file got corrupted, deleting this file will usually fix this issue go to C:\user\%appdata%\guildwars2\ I think that is it or do a file search for local.dat and delete it. Then restart the game, the game will creat a new one and you should be able to use that stuck character again. The only thing this will reset all your ingame setting back to default so you may need to redo your graphic and key binding setting.
