I REALLY love the whole update!! My only question is about the circus peple.. how I see some of them have a new bikini top, and I think there are some new pants too.. I presume we’ll be getting these skins? PLEASE release them as standalone skins in the gemstore!!! and please, please, please, PLEASE. PLEASE! PLEASE! leave it looking the same for all armor weights! If you can do that, I’d pay pretty much whatever price…

If you bought the Standard Edition a year and a half ago then you would have got the Heroic Edition (HE) bonus items. These were added to all accounts created after the 1st anniversary.

It’s completely different from the Digital Deluxe Edition (DDE). The DDE gives you the Mistfire Wolf skill, mini Rytlock, bonus guild and PvP currency etc.

The HE gives you 10 XP boosters, an 18 slot mithril box and a set of gemstore armour from a choice of: Primeval, Profane and Krytan.

There is no choose your armour page for this – you just get mailed a chest and when you open it you get the bag and boosters and a 2nd chest which lets you pick the armour set. When you make that choice you get 2 things: a set of low level armour with those skins (separate pieces) and a set of skins which can be applied to any other armour of the same weight (e.g. primeval can only be applied to heavy armour).

Between that and the fact that there’s never been another report of gemstore armour dropping in game (and I’m sure Anet would announce it if they decided to do that) I think it’s much more likely you either killed something and then noticed the armour in your inventory or you killed something, got a different armour piece (maybe with a similar icon) and mixed up which one was the drop and which was there before.

That’s it!! I have an 18 slot mithril bag and I have no clue how the kitten I got it either! And I’ve got tons of xp boosts.. The only question is how did I choose profane without knowing I even had a box of loot?

I tried to get the hot things but never got a drop – but the situation this topic is about was long before that. I bought the standard edition and I do not have any (other?) heroic edition benefits.

I guess I’m crazy, but I’d bet my kitteningn life that I got it as a drop.. Since I did NOT buy gems or the heroic edition.. Idk..

The Profane Light Armor has always been a gem store item.

What probably happened was you found a piece of the equippible version of the armor in your inventory and just assumed you got it as a loot drop from a monster.

I got the normal version of the game for $40 at the time idk if it was heroic or not, but I was NOT presented with a “choose this armor” page, and I do not have the other bonuses like the wolf, the mini, etc. I’m also 89% sure I saw it all pop in my inventory after o looted some enemy

Is all I care for, and even then I ONLY want that top thingie, released as a single stand alone skin that looks the same on all weights. Idk why anet does this for gloves shoulders helmets and sometimes boots but NNOOOOO doing it for chest and pants is a federal kittening crime?

kitten I hope there is a good amount of underwater content and that they might consider working on that aspect of the game (laying foundations for the purpose of DSD in the future).

Just as they did the thing of gliding to air. They could create a new type of game mechanics to oceans, perhaps control ships in a big ocean, to reach some place after Ring of Fire…… Or some kind of “steam like” submarines… If not to get to a place after Ring of Fire, they could implement some regions inland sea that lies between Ring of Fire, Dragon Stand and Orr. Maybe an adventure involving something around 3 fallen dragons?

Yes, the ends of Rata Sum has a lot of potential and a wonderful view at night. The sky is clean and starring and toward dragon stand we can see a great and mysterious mountain. And they also have a harbor.

About Ember Bay journey, if we’re lucky, there no will be another “asura gate”. It seems to be a trend of them involved traveling around aircraft.

I can understand what you are saying that the voice does not suit your char’s theme. However I have to say that the Human Male voice seems about the best of them to me. I am doing the LS3 story atm on all of my alts and have done Human, Norn, Sylvari and Charr so far (only Aura left). Out of all of those races the Human’s voice to me seems to have the most character. Sylvari comes in second.

I don’t know what it is but I just think that the voice actor puts a bit more effort into it. There is one part in the story where Rytlock says something and the human char responds totally different than the other races do. It’s just a subtle thing in the voice but the whole response seems totally different to the other races and makes the situation feel more real.

Having said all that I did make an African American char and you are right OP, the human male voice certainly does not fit there lol.

but technically Elonians (the only people with darker skin in tyria) aren’t really in this part of the world THEREFORE ITS YOUR FAULT!

my only complaint/concern with ROF being now is the remaining slivers of jungle. I believe anet wants to fill in the world and probably will, but when/why would we return to the jungle? (I explained a little more about by beliefs in another post I JUST made, I’m too lazy to retype.) so, anyway here are my ideas:

1. Lush Overlook is the secret map we get before Ember Bay. We were tracking Lazarus’ magic signature through the jungle, picking up Taimi, etc. This map is the pass between DS and Rata Sum, as well as the edge of the continent, where we see something prompting us to get to Ember Bay.

2. The chak organ Taimi put in mordrem fluid eventually gives us more information that compels us to seek out a blighted tree, but we destroyed them all. Then Caithe remembers and informs/reminds us (Sylvari or not) about Malyk, and we search for his tree in a map to the left of DS and below AB I think it might be called something like Abandoned Tree or something – idk about a map name lol

3. Then, New Rata Novus is the map closed in my Metrica, TD, DT, Rata Sum. We go there and either find the Rata Novans survived or find out more of their demise.

so, those are my ideas. The problem is, WHEN would 2 and 3 ever fit with the story once we move on?

Dragon Stand is in the state of art in visual terms. The idea of map the whole world is like a utopia to me:)

my ONLY concern is there are 3 more slivers of jungle! I hope we get them before we move away from the jungle-related stories entirely, otherwise when will we get them? If we don’t get em it’ll drive my ocd insane, not to mention the devs have said before they want to map the whole world (and the evidence shows, especially that they took the time to make a tiny map like BSF).

There’s a VB one?! what is it? And why aren’t these obtainable?

What is this? It’s supposedly been out since HoT release, but it’s not on the TP, there are no pictures on the wiki, we don’t even know how to obtain the item it’s in!! How do we even know this thing exists?! And why does it exist when WE. CAN’T. GET. IT? Anyone else confused? And while I’m on the subject, doesn’t the Chak Egg Sac seem to rare? I mean, it’s not even on the TP at all most of the time.

There was an epic female human hairstyle someone found, and it’s been completed 100% (was even accidentally implemented for a bit), so very soon..

I could write a 80,000 word novel on what I’d like, but I’ll just list some things off the top of my head

1. Continue using the “toy” system to introduce more mounty things. Let’s be honest, toys are just a unique spin on mounts, and that’s perfectly ok! I really, really, really, (you get the idea) want dragons! And since they’re “toys”, you don’t have to explain lore-wise why some dragon that never existed is suddenly everywhere – It’s just a new asuran invention to sucker the masses!

2. Two handed swords. These can and should use the current sword skins. GS aren’t good enough for me! I primarily want it for immersion/RP/headcanon stuff, but come on! Wouldn’t it be cool to have, for example, Jormag’s Breath stored on your back like a normal sword, and hold it in front of you in a new, two handed stance? I think it would be fantastic. So, what I’d want from this would be: Swords stored on the back, like any two-handed weapon. A new in combat stance. Possibly new skills, since it would “technically” be a new “type” or weapon. You could combine the main and offhand skills of classes with dual swords, but then said dual swords kinda become meaningless other than aesthetic preferences. And you’d have to make new skills for professions who only have main or offhand sword anyway, so.. yea, just I’d love this!

3. More armor that DOES NOT follow the typical “robe/dress, trenchcoat, buttcape” style. I cannot even begin to explain how sick I am of this, expecially human male light armor – there is NO good legging or chest IMO, only a few “not bad” ones. I could post pics all day, but I’ll leave that for another time.

4. More elements for the ele. Self-explanatory, other than specifically an engery spec (energy powers would be green, since it could be anything and green is awesome and no ele powers are green). I guess it would be focused on DPS and stuns/dazes? Idk.

5. Housing. Real housing. Guild halls are nice, except the ability to place and move things is rather limited, and in most guilds, only the leader or top players can do ANYTHING! And you don’t have to put it on the world map like guild halls, they can just be empty lots and/or lots with varying houses on them. I used to play a game with empty lots from the different enviroments, and a few with houses on them too (that you could go into and furnish), and everyone loved it so much!

Its not available yet. Someone had said that the Guard I saw with it must have changed her hairstyle when there was a glitch in the kits which has since been fixed. I guess this is one we have to look forward to? It would be nice with the patch next week for new LS3 that we would get some of these new styles.

We do need more festivals, and I think the end of HoT should be the origin of a sylvari festival. (Well, maybe not a “festival”, but… It’s a day they should remember.)

Personally, I love the idea of a skritt festival. It could be something odd, silly, and more than a little dangerous.

Make is the equivalent of July 4th on the Tyrian calendar. We don’t have a fourth event, and that’s perfectly fitting. The day sylvari gained true independence from their tyrannical creator. Independence Day, or Sylvan Independence Day, to clarify in the world between the races. Idk

The reason you would only have shoulders, boots, gloves, and mask is because you can easily make them work for all armor types. As long as they look good. Lawless looks the same on all armor types, that is why there is no chest or pants, because that would cause them to either have to make an armor set that can work with all armor types, or they would have to create separate skins for each armor type.

Also I would really like dyeable under garments. The kitten yellow color is nasty and looks like they haven’t changed since the launch of gw2. Would love to be able to use all of my dyes on the under garments, even have undergarment skins, that we can change and what not. Would be good for Role play and immersion. Also Lexi Price the heart person in Queensdale has an outfit that I would easily pay for in a second.

I think if they were to add new weapons, this would be one of the easiest AND best, if not the best, weapon to start with. I 100% support greatxes!

I was super disappointed to find the LEGENDARY ARMOR was just as crappy as everything. Following the common stereotypes for each different weight. I sure hope the compelte thing looks better, since my uncontrollable ocd and mentale illnesses demand I use the best gear..
