Funny…that’s what a warrior fighting me thought too. However lick wounds ended up being superior as i just watched him die pathetically rooted away from me while i killed his friend
Even a ranger can get better condition removal if traited for it.
Ranger’s cleanse is highly unreliable, being cleanse from the bear (if anyone still runs bear), or signet of renewal or the 30 major WS trait, all depends on the pet being alive some even depends the pet being close. Ranger don’t have any counter to condition burst and is really weak against immobilize.

It’s not an achievement to win a war against no one.
And yet my server have won against FR servers several times, even without active “night-capping” teams.
“Night-capping” will not win a fight. Around the clock capping will.
The “night-capping” time is after all way shorter than the rest of the day, so if a server caps everything every night they would most likely still end up losing, unless they had massive coverage also during the “days”.
Night capping doesn’t mean they lose during the day though. If you lose by a small margin but get a big boost thanks to night capping, you end up winning for no reason.
Yes it fixes the issue. The issue is that some servers are getting points while facing little to no opposition. Even if it’s a “never-ending war”, people have lives and need to sleep. So some servers getting help from oversea people (fr servers with quebec players for instance) are just getting around the competition and steamrolling the few people other servers have at that time.
It is not fair for the servers that mostly have players playing during regular hours. So it wouldn’t be less useful since it would still earn points…just not as much.
Here’s a simple fix:
Make it so that points earned depend on the number of enemies on the battlefield.
Easier targets should mean less points.
Transmutation stones.
You can use a lot of equipment, like cultural, dungeon equipment, and even some special sets you can find via karma sellers / wvw vendors.
One pretty good set for a warrior is the pit fighter set (you can find it in the TP).
You can go check all the dungeon vendors in lion’s arch and see if you like one of the sets…

Thing is…thieves DID get buffs. Rangers got nerfs and no buff at all. So stop complaining. Thieves are fine.
They just damaged/nerf thief as they could again….Hey Anet if you dont want people to play thief, just delete whole class. Every update you did from released brought more dissapointment then good for thief class.

Aside from stability for golem pulls and having a way to regen end for the canons part there isn’t much to do. Just try to not go too far out if you can to avoid being trapped in a corner, and dodge only when you really have to.
And yeah, getting horrik to actually hit you is a pain, unless you all stick together (and wait for mai tin to own your asses).
These people who want faceroll content bother me only because Anet might listen to them. The dungeon has been out for 1 day(not even a complete 24hrs) and people are expecting just to walk in there and finish it. Without fully learning the fight mechanics.

No. They are not.
I like challenges, i love them. I really enjoyed most dungeons from world of warcraft classic, the mechanics were fun, we wiped a lot trying to improve our strategies. BWL, AQ and the others were great and all. Not many guilds downed C’Thun because it was challenging to do so (and to get to him).
That said, most GW2 dungeons fail in boss mechanics AND trash mobs repartition. You get a trash pack that dies in 10 seconds and then another one that almost wipes out the party. For no reason. The bosses rely too heavily on CC and gimmicky gameplay rather than intelligent game design. They rely on luck and most of the time, some classes are screwed over (rangers being the class that repeatedly gets owned because their pets die in 1 sec). That’s an area i’d really want them to improve, but i don’t see it happening because for every new content, the bosses are worse and worse.

People really cant handle a little challenge anymore. All they want is to walk trought a dungeon looking at rainbows and kittens and then collecting wild amounts of loot for free. Grow up and try to use your brain on content where you acctualy need to move your mouse.
Challenge != dumb mechanics.
Once again, try other games, that have challenging content that’s not dumb like this. Like world of warcraft (one of the best), everquest and others.
This dungeon basically screws rangers over (their pets die instantly against frizz) and probably some other classes. So it’s doable yeah, but it’s not fun.
I’m guessing this is a bug but the “aetherblade cache” chest seems to respawn after each try of the last boss.

So what about making a dungeon that doesn’t make ranger pets totally useless ?
And some cool ideas instead of golems that chain pull you into laser beams that make them invulnerable ?

I don’t get it. If you die the other player was better. Plain and simple. Who cares what he used ? He outplayed you. One should use all means necessary to beat his opponent. This is war.
Torch is fine, just up your condition damage.
Spvp or small group play your BM bunker build is the way to go. In zerg vs zerg combat, the Berserker build is infinitely better. Just have to be able to read your enemies movements and it also helps to know the tendencies of both your servers guilds and the enemies guilds, as to know where to position yourself.
Hmm no it’s not. I see zerkers dying and dying again in wvw while i’m still standing and killing enemies. You won’t be able to resist much with 11 or 12k hp in wvw.
Well, asura or sylvari elites are much better than norn’s that’s for sure.
Maybe if you’re a Thief or Mesmer. Otherwise Snow Leopard is way, way more useful, giving you access to stealth and a charge. On my Necro, I’ve used the Sylvari elites once or twice and saw no advantage to them over the professional elites, in any situation.
The asura golems are great. The sylvari still have some uses. I was comparing them to the norn elites, not the class elites.

Everytime I´m using P/P against the final boss in cliffside or at the first time you fight the grawl in vulcanic I die because of their reflection, unload deals about 11k dmg my thief has about 10.8k hp -> I kill myself just because I´m using the worst weapon set.
Any solutions? Don’t use P/P

You can contact support and it might be that you will be compensated with another ring.
Support WILL NOT HELP in any way. Even when you lose stuff DUE TO BUGS and not due to game mechanics, the gw2 support will NOT help in any way or form.
If you contact gw2 support, you will waste your time, they will claim what you tell them hasn’t actually occurred, etc and so on. They WILL NOT restore lost items, no matter what (according to the communication I’ve had with gw2 support).
They will basically reply like this "we don’t know, maybe you didn’t do what you said, we cant help, sorry’.
You are WRONG. Two unique rings issue is one of those cases they usually compensate the user with a different ring (same stats, different infusion slot, so he/she can equip both), proving they DO have the tools to work things out but they avoid doing it because it’s a lot of effort with no economic profit for them.
I don’t see why…you could have bought them to have different infusions in them. Anyway, when there’s a mention of uniqueness on an item, why buy 2 ?
You can see up the door in keeps…which means you can target there.
Not having problems with cnd…just know you won’t always hit and be prepared for it.
No idea why it works that way but i like it. Prevents abuses in wvw, makes thief a bit more predictable…if you could just leave right away, you could just throw it down then shadowstep away and never be found again (ok, there are other ways to do this but still).
This is just sad. Really, really, really, sad. You have effectively spent well over $3000 for weapon skins. You should have just posted the video. Now that you have admitted to basically buying your legendaries, this is not going to be a thread of envy, but of pity.

Its simply a worth of time. I am fortunate enough that my time is much more valuable then grinding to get legandaries.
Its a lot cheaper then bottle service at a nice club for 10 people and I get to keep something

Not everyone here is 16 without a job.
Still no point in legendaries. Most are ugly and they’re just skins. If you want to throw away your money, i don’t care, but it’s better to try to match your character style than to want the PURPLZZZ !
Oh and i can understand people grinding. At least they get a sense of achievement when they do get their legendaries. You just paid a lot of money for a weapon skin. That’s cool, you wanted it, etc. but i don’t know why you think we care about it ^^

Yeah, anyway both issues come from game design issues.
I hope they can find a way to prevent blobbing and night capping to be that effective.
For instance, i’d love to see the points depend on the number of opponents on the map (stuff is easier to get, why would it give as much points, it makes no sense).
I also hope they encourage scouting / dollies protection more (like giving wxp when a dolly arrives safely to those that protected it and such).
Until then, most people will blob because it’s easier, safer and really kitten thersome than trying to come up with strategies, split up forces and try to outmanoeuver the enemy.
What matters is having fun…

Same issue here. Problem is it’s with most of my skills. Traps, axe 1, axe 2, etc.
Playing a trap ranger and it’s pretty annoying to see the wings disappear, kinda kills them.
With shortbow skills, for some reason, they stay up.

I’m in a T1 server as well, and not only am I expected to bring HS(and others like CC skills), but HS is almost never taken for granted. Almost every time one is popped the blasts, leaps, and projectiles ensue. Many times it can be a tipping point in a pitched battle…just like Plagues, Banners, and Veils. Keep in mind these are very coordinated groups that are all listening in teamspeak to one commander. For the most part, everyone knows their roles and, indeed, success depends largely on that coordination…even in zerg v zerg fights. I’ve seen plenty of times when the smaller group wins due to superior tactics and combo-field usage.
But I’ve also seen HS used willy nilly where it doesn’t really do much ’sides a few ticks of regen. A lot of it depends on which servers, guilds, and commanders are involved with it.
Wait, there are rangers that DON’T use HS ??

My point anyway was that, even though fields do help, they help much much less than sticking together, charging in the same direction, dodging through damage and overall just listening to the commander and doing as he says. Tactics > strategy in wvw.
An on my server every commander, even when commanding pugs, are on TS.
Is it just me or all pets rangers seem really small?
I would like to see a bear looking like a bear not like a bear puppy, same for wolfs, birds and felines.
Im saying that cause i think that everyone already seem Garm, Eir Stegalkin pet. That it’s a really wolf.
And plz do not tell me about the skill that makes the animal looks larger is ridiculous
Depends what race you play. Of course, for a norn most animals look small, they’re pretty huge. For an asura however, things are different.
Too much people seem to rely on the combat log.
Of course traps are good, they do great damage, you should try them.
But don’t try them in a power/crit gear set. You need high condition damage.
Anyway, the range isn’t that great on traps so keeping your distance is the best way to avoid damage. You can still get owned if you don’t take care of where the traps are put and the ranger simulates an escape. Also, you’ll most likely be crippled most of the time since you won’t be able to remove all the conditions, keep it in mind.
