Can fractals daily reward be done per each character or is it per account like the standard daily achievement?
GOOD!!!
Enough with bulky bosses, the dungeons should be made easy paced.
Seriously, I only did them for my gifts and achievements, never set foot in them again.
Maybe now the lodestones prices will drop.
Omg they upgraded quip too :o
My thief got confetties footsteps and when weapon is pulled out a purple aura is surrounding him ^.^
I’m looking at meditation + concentration build now.
Tbh our zerging abilities didn’t change, spirit shield aside.
So what I’m thinking about is ground targeted purging flames + blind leap (1h sword #2).
Quick switch to GS upgraded with superior hydromancy / fire, and make use of the fire combo field to send burning bolts everywhere around, followed by #5 as well.
While many carry condition removal, it’s a surprise attack.
Maybe even instead of the above sigils, will try a bleeding or poison one instead to cover the burning.
We’ll see what works…
Well, back to meditation.
Spirit weapons nerfed? The heck, man? I have never seen a single complaint about Spirit Weapons being broken. If anything, dedicated Spirit builds are one of the least common and least effective Guardian setups. Why are they getting nerfed, of all things?
I’ll have to do some testing to see how much of an effect it actually has (I suspect it’ll be big though, realiability is one of the few things SW really had going for them since they don’t do that much damage / support and if they can die that goes out the window), but just the idea of nerfing something for no reason really ticks me off.
Spoiler: it ain’t pretty.
Yep, tested as well.
They are completely useless utilities now.
Gj Anet, hope you’re proud.
Update on Spirit weapons:
They hardly got any health, just fought a risen wizard that took out my sword in no time.
Truly R.I.P aside Shield against ranged only opponents in dungeons and fractals.
This was the most ridiculous uncalled for nerf I’ve ever seen against the guardian.
There goes my duelist build in WvW.
I was heavily relying on the hammer for damage spikes vs tough opponents.
Not to mention that the shield will get obliterated in ground AoEs.
On the other hand, they might still prove useful as meat (spirit?) shields.
Guess I’ll best go and check it to find out the verdict.
Malcastus.6240 – You know when someone is completely biased when he tries to prove any point you make wrong. You don’t even bother to admit the faults here.
In your eyes – the class is perfect as it is, leave it be. Needs no changes.
Tens of thousands complains all come from complete idiots who need to l2p.
And just to actually say something back to your argument – everything you posted might hold some water to spvp. But the majority here is playing WvW. And there’s no such thing as a “teamplay” in a zerg.
Plus there’s no point in complaining here when you play with a team, since you make sure your builds in sync with each other.
So there goes your argument out of the window.
Waltz into any battle, not a care in the world for number of opponents. start bursting, troll with healing and sustaining damage at the same time.
Hmmm… seems like the battle isn’t going as planned, panic Air #4, Fire #3.
Can’t be CC’d, can’t immobilize.gg.
Yes, thief does have a great stealth survivability, but the battles are much shorter, and once he goes down below 20% he’ll have to step back and either recover completely or walk away.
you stay in place when you RTL or Burning Speed when immobilized. FYI.
That was general talk.
In most (all) cases the ele will remove any CC placed on him fairly easily and then escape.

let me guess u would rather it be a easy 2 shot ?
At the moment a bunker D/D Ele is like a Guardian on “Save yourselves” through the entire battle. Without even counting the escaping abilities yet, So let’s cut the b———-.
What a load of crap.
We use all three of our utilities in melee spec to mostly break stuns and grant either stability or purge conditions. Yes it’s great that traited we get vigor and regeneration but we don’t even have usable ones like “Save Yourselves”, “Stand Your Ground”, “Wall of Reflection” or “Sanctuary” and Virtues.
Factor in the ease of applying Retaliation and semi-decent mobility combined with traits like Altruistic healing and I would say if you built a defensive Guardian following the same principles as the 0/10/0/30/30 Clerics build the only thing an elementalist wins out on is Ride the Lightning.
Back at your pal.
Let’s break it down to you:
- You have stability built in earth (traited), name one class that gains that on weapon switch / weapon skill used (traited as well for that matter).
- All classes got stun breaks, can’t see your point here. Also Sanctuary? you expect anyone to bring a fail 120s cd stationary skill to pvp? maybe to hold a point at sPvP, but no further uses.
As for Wall of reflection, useless against D/D, since that is the subject right now, next.
- You have 100% upkeep of 2 different regeneration sources. Only through traits.
- Altruistic is for zerg and dungeons, and while you’re in a zerg, it doesn’t matter what class you are or build you’re carrying, strength is in numbers.
- Retaliation is a joke buff, only good vs multi hits as it’ll hit back for 2xx+ at most.
Again, not the case here against D/D eles.
- I’ll bite, “Ride the lightning”, “Lightning flash”, and an extra mystic form in case you’re down. Plus 100% upkeep of movement speed through air attune.
- Bunker Guardian can’t kill jack s—-. The guardian gets to tank, great! but what about killing anyone?
While on the other hand…
I think Anet wants each role to be more fit to its description.
At the moment the trade off a bunker ele is having vs a bunker guardian is heaven and earth.
While Guardian is “supposed” to be the tankish class, it cannot be that compared to it – another class that wears cloth is not only able to survive much better, but with very little risk of engaging any battle, be it vs zerg or in a duel.
Personally, I don’t bother fighting any D/D ele not because they’re too strong or take me out shamelessly, but rather their monster level survivability that makes any encounter with the worst player end either in tie or simply walking away on me.
Well if you ever get bored looking at my Sunrise, feel free to glare at my juggernaut instead ^_~
I do admit though, too many kids are cloning themselves with twilight + red/black armor.
They all want to be equally kitten.
No way! This is awesome!
Thanks ANet!
That screenshot is a mess buddy. hurts the eyes… Try something like this:
Just to throw my 2 cents on #5 hammer…
It’s not as bad as many make it out to be, people who walk out of it use all kinds of buffs or change their form. Not once I had a person simply walking out of it without a change of his status.
Regardless though, the skill is great to use when it’s not obvious, more as a surprise CC.
Best one I had today when a kitteny kitten kept popping out of the gate to dish out some dmg, and then return back into the fort. I popped #5 just as he finished his burst when he came out again, ending up panicking trying to get back. Only left to meet his end by our angry zerg.
Wish I had it on fraps.
Allow me to direct you to my thread before I elaborate:
https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/game/crafting/A-legendary-routine
Can be done in less than 200hours.
Doing more than 2 will really start to burn you out, though that’s first world problems.
To the average player it will take well over 500hours, as you can see in this thread some even over 1k hours.
It really depends how willing you are to turn the game into a job.
Haven’t I seen you somewhere?
…..
Nope, false alarm! it was that other dark warrior in dark colors with a dark name carrying twilight.
Only a guardian can heal himself over 50% with a weapon skill.
Well that does it, I’ll revive this thread again when I’m done with my personal goals, and show you all how this class is supposed to be played.
sPvP, WvW and PvE.
Much I’d like to say about all of you, but all infraction worthy.
In GW1 terms, this is like a group of Wammos discussing why their class is gimped.
Can’t understand people who are willing to spend that much on the bloodstone amulet.
Get 350+ badges of jumping and you’re done.
The only thing that can make a character feel “main” in this game, is the one that wields the most expensive gear. (but stat are still the same as everyone’s else)
It’s very simple and fast to equip any alt with max gear.
So what kind of progress are you afraid to lose?
sPvP? try spirit weapons once.
I’d like to see the mesmer who can live through 3sec KD, 2x immobilize and area denial.
I also like to combine hydromancy on my hammer for even further CC.
WvW? run the same, minus spirit weapons +1 more immobilize.
Yes, that’s the trick in 1 v 1 with guardian, hold down that opponent, cast smite and throw a torch at him, then start smashin’!!!
I couldnt pass up the Sylvari cultural. Mix of t2 and t1 armor with t3 helm , and Sylvari karma weapon skin on the hammer .
<3 it!!
Actually GW1 also had easy gear (weapons) swap.
Before you say that we got 2 different sets to switch between… GW1 had 4 different sets available.Simply return the F1 / F2 / F3 / F4.
Wasn’t broken, keep it.we still got that >>
its now ~
and its called weapon swap.
it was Weapon swap back in gw 1 to
Please read before you post….
“Before you say that we got 2 different sets to switch between… GW1 had 4 different sets available.”
This on top of the existing swap.
As a post above me mentioned opening the Hero tab and double clicking / dragging the item isn’t as efficient.
Sometimes you’re out of combat for a few secs, and while making sure you don’t get hit, you’d also like to switch to another weapon / gear / build that you can’t do all at the same time without getting hit since you couldn’t pay attention to your surroundings.
Except that everybody is able to camp the rich node, so what’s the problem. Do we really want Ori ore to be as expensive and rare as globs of ecto and everything else. How would that improve the game?
Ori is a source of income for people who don’t like farming/dungeons. So it’s a source of income for the poorer people. It also doesn’t make up the majority of weapon/armor price, ectos do. So higher ori prices (but not too high) means money is spread a bit more to those who don’t have as much.
The problem is that normal people won’t go to the problem of bringing fresh characters to the node to camp it, but gold sellers will either using movement hacks or just run each other (they work together since it’s usually a company) and camp it on every fresh character for more money, crashing ori prices as well.
“Poorer people”
Are these included between the ones with a couple of leggies?
It’s actually the dungeon runners who make less and are completely oblivious to large sum of gold they can make through gathering.
If you’re going to turn the game into a job to make gold, do it properly.

Will it come with buy mode and lifetime wish?
Next to the grave
“That weed is the shizzle man, where did you get it?”
“Secret.”
GW2’s TP is by a wide margin less effectively manipulated than the other games mentioned in this thread.
As a salesman (myself), gotta love how he says “by wide margin”.
So there IS manipulation, but it isn’t “wide”.
Ok, let’s narrow it down then.
All inconsistent unfarmable items are manipulated.
Everything else is fine.
So we’re dealing with a massive fluctuation on certain groups of items.
Good job getting out of that one dev, dig a deeper hole will ya.
Ok, prove that it’s not my wife / son / dog playing on the other account.
Come on, who the kitten can tell?
Guardian is like the Dervish of GW1.
Always a buff, never a nerf.Man I loved that class.
What are you smoking, guardian has only been recieving nerfs and no buffs.
If they even think of touching our greatsword/hammer skills im quitting the class, and there isnt another class I enjoy
What did they nerf? the GS switch between symbol and leap?
I can’t recall how anything we got, been significantly nerfed to the point of “omg”.Personally, I play all classes, they all got their appeal as long as they have viable builds, and right now I play guardian, thief, warrior and engineer.
Anet going to buff other classes and nerf guarding? go for it, will just switch around.GS symbol, SYS, Tomes to name a few….
All nonsense that hardly affected us.
Guardian from day 1 played the same if not better until today.
Still most reliable class that can contribute a lot to dungeons, zergs and sieging if played right.
3 random shots. Heh.
You’re just missing twilight
Not only do i have 8 characters level 80 but all 8 have 100% map completion
8 100% world completion.
Even if you hacked, that sounds boring as kitten. No, you can’t lie to me and say that getting rid of the ghosts in plains of ashford for the 8th time is fun.
It was not that boring, it was pretty fun just playing each class, the only issue i had was necro, its just a terrible terrible class to me, i was so happy when i finished it
I had all classes at 80 since the 2nd month past release already, so I know how you feel.
But 8 100% world completion… ugh…
Btw, I got 17 alts, 11 of em are 80, I could make all of em 80 in 6~5h each (cheap too)
But feels like it serves no real purpose.
I’ve read once about a guy with 24 maxed alts, god knows what for.
I was thinking of getting it for my Thief, or perhaps on my 2nd account and make a a bell + quip duet.
Oh man, I might just do that
checks Spidy for price
42g! not so bad after all, prepare citizens of LA!!
Justice.
Ori will definitely go higher, and a guarantee to return a profit.
Simply for the fact that when new gear will be introduced, it will involve Ori again.
Hell, even a scavenger hunt will make people buy more.
Whatever they introduce will rise the price of ori.
Not only do i have 8 characters level 80 but all 8 have 100% map completion
8 100% world completion.

Kuldred.2436 + The Blue Ace.2850:
You totally forgot about the sound effects that come along with it!
Make your opponents WISH to die as long as they won’t have to hear it!!
Mad laugh
Go for chaos gun’s skin and become the kitten you want to be, I’d rather have some good time and mess around <3333
See the weapon in action before you call it a gem store gizmo, made of 50% epicness + 50% insanity.
Once I saw the effects and the skin on the bows – I gave up on Legendary weapons completely.
Freaking rainbows and unicorns…
The legendary pistol Quip not only looks horrible, it has less than ideal stats unless you PvP with it, and it shoots bubbles? Since I’m not a 12 year old girl, I’ll pass on the bubbles, rainbows and unicorn stuff, thanks.
The two pistols on that list both look awesome, and have better stats. 250 globs of ecto and 250 ori pistol frames is rediculous, but it’s a walk in the park compared to a legendary. This is definately the direction I’m taking.
And whats up with no mystic forge rifle?
Thanks for posting this list, I had forgotten about it. Awesome stuff!
It is crazy to not even consider getting that pistol!!!
I’ll gladly own my opponents with confetti and bubbles any day.
Well I asked other people if they could see the metallic effect when using that bug and they all said no.
How do you reproduce the leak? I have it happening randomly but it stops as soon as I use another skill.
100% positive, maybe they had crap computers and their poor eyes couldn’t tell the difference. Or perhaps it was included in later patch for everyone to see it, who knows.
As for the leak, and this is for everyone to try:
As guardian -
Equip another hammer on 2nd weapon set and do the repeatable animation trick on #3, while you switch to your Juggernaut.
You can “leave” the leak midair and simply walk away from it, when you switch back to your crappy hammer. (it will get back to your jugger as soon as you switch back to it)
As for warriors – try to do the same trick with your other animations with 2 hammers, but can’t promise you’ll get the same results.
Gratz dude. Anyone would envy having those three legendaries in their inventory.
You still gotta enlighten me though on the bloody pepperkorn spike a while back. You came into my thread being all knowledgeable and mighty, but you never explained what happened back then. For someone that stays away from the TP and only buys his goods there, I have some difficulty in matching that attitude against what I’m seeing here.
A TP terrorist never shares his knowledge on how exactly he makes his profit correct?
All I’ll say on your matter is that I stand firm with my stand – I’ve never resold the same item later on for profit purposes, only my own goods.
Maybe when the TP massacre will stop one day, I’d spill the beans, but until then -
“Bonne journee!!”
<3
If you bug the metallic effect its only displays for you (client side bug). So other people only see the Sunrise effect.
You are misaken my friend, tested and another client can see all the “bugged” effects.
I’d also like to share the upgrade I recently added to my Juggernaut, I call it “The leak”.
Enjoy:
Please everyone, let’s stay on topic and discuss how awesome I am.
Just to shed some light on things here..
Botters =/= RMT, lazy players are.
TP farmers = RMT.
Anet ecnourages players dominating the TP = endless supply of RMT.
Once someone lost all care for the game itself and simply left with making more and more gold in a very simple manner, what else is left for him besides selling the gold to others for cold cash?
Simple concept, encouraged by the same company that created the game.
Gold should not be gained so easily, in any shape or form, creating a massive gap between types of players.
Dis iz vat zey coll, le poor pipel achiv’ment?
Which means if someone thought that one day he’ll be rewarded for 20k achievement points through salvaging, at the end of the day he made sure to be the laughing-stock of GW2
Why? He still has 20k achievement points. He’s the one laughing.
For imagining an imaginary reward for spending hours on hours of salvaging.
We all know the way to achieve anything above 7k points atm is through salvaging since the transmuting been deducted off everyone’s accounts.
There’s no mystery to how to get such large number, we all know how to do it, and it is sad, very sad. With no reward at the end of the tunnel either.
