This is how I see the gem shop…
Since I consider farming as a 2nd job and not fun I will ask you:
Do you make in 1 hour enough gold equal to 800 gems (converted back into gold), if the answer is:
A. no – consider converting gems to gold. Since you may as well get a 2nd job in real life and I believe you make over $10 an hour.
B. yes – farm away!

Only one thing: i wanna make a twilight, the only thing it’s Literally killing me it’s dusk :\ i will NEVER have 650g do waste on ah, and i burned over 800k karma trying to do it on the mystic forge… how the hell did you guys got your precursors?
Bought.
Which I’m about to do in a week with Dusk as well.
Don’t start a legendary if you don’t have the stomach for it.
No ty….don’t need any more incentive to play tp or grind then there already is. If it promoted actual game play, then I’d agree.
Actually you do, because more incentives to play is what any game needs.
And what do you mean by “promoted actual game play”? we’re talking about PvE here, nothing PvE related promotes this actual game play nonsense.
Want gameplay? go WvW / sPvP.
Repeating same old content won’t promote anything, even SAB became a grind after a while.
All the devs have to do with this one is to simply make the smallest change of being able to wear the title once the track is completed, which will be more than enough for some people to aim for and keep playing the game.
Svarty was right about using the Juggernaut to keep the effect, but that’s not how you do it though
As for the money question, it’s pointless to explain, since I could get this far thanks to a string of wise and boring decisions through playing the game that are far too late to be given as advice to anyone now.
I don’t play the TP on regular basis by the way.
Makes no sense to make such a thing…
Just create a new alt and level it, you can hit from 1 to 80 in a day.
Farming for armor is also simple and fast, can’t see the issue here.
If i got the opportunity i’ll go ahead and ask a question: how do you farm the t6 mats effectively atm?? Farming southsun seems a little bit boring to me since i get around 3 powerful per hour invested along with other drops ofc bit that seems to take long..
Ectos are easy to get, especially compared to how you got them 4 months ago. But t6 mats are really expensive and using laurels is a waste i figuered… :/
I’ll just go ahead and say that thanks to these legendaries I’ve finished a lot of TV series…
Some quick tips…
Did you know:
- That different characters do not share loot DR? (boss chests not included)
- That each character can farm all 5/5 Ori + Omnom on both Cursed shore and Malchor’s leap?
- That tokens DR doesn’t kick as fast when you switch characters for same dungeon, same path?
- That keeping some low lvl alts is worthwhile to farm lowbie area nodes?
Not sure how helpful these tips are though with the gems prices nowdays.
You can also say that GW2 has my complete divided attention, most people won’t agree with my boring methods, but each to his own right?
Working on 5th, my biggest gripe was karma farming, even above gold.
SAB rekindled my passion to work toward legendaries again, so right now I got enough shards for 6th as well, their fairly easy acquisition through it saved me tons of hours and gold for karma boosters.
I can’t really give any worthwhile tips tbh, I’m just an opportunist… and I can honestly say that if I started the game a couple of months after release I’d probably give up on the idea of getting even one legendary weapon.
Right now you’re screwed no matter how you look at it… why?
Because leveling tons of alts (including buying more slots), expanding bank and maximizing all your characters for more versatility to farm – was way WAY much easier in the first couple of months.
Working towards a legendary with 1 character alone will take you much longer, so long that you might give up halfway like most people do.
Sadly if you can’t make 40~60g a day, it WILL take you over 3~4 months.
Better start checking out CoF p1 (need a warrior though) and max more alts for nodes farms.
You always got the option of playing the market, but you need great knowledge of the market flow and enough confidence (don’t mix with foolishness) to make it work.

Dance Book is awesome, thank you Anet:
How do you move just your upper body? :o
Hey, I can already see a new youtube vid coming soon of a 100 people in a guild sync dancing.
Should be fun to watch, as people did similar and far more impressive vids back in GW1 days.
As topic says, Sunrise / Twilight count now towards the achievement, and better late than never.
Now how about turning the achievement into a title as well?
A well deserving one too, considering all the effort put into it.Honest question: What do you need an additional title for when you already have footsteps and pretty rad weapon animations (especially in the case of these greatswords)?
A legitimate question!
We already have “The emperor” title for anyone who bought t1/t2/t3 cultural armors for all races. around 750g + – gold sink.
It makes perfect sense to me, that a person who invested a lot more would also like to show off his greatest achievement of owning 5 highly sought after weapons.
Why not have “Legends seeker” or something of the sort as well?
Also, the title itself is account wide, and characters who don’t wield a legendary will also be able to have a legendary title to show around
Got the dance moves, hurt my gold wallet a bit but was worth it just for the sync dance
Anet makes more money if it’s soulbound. And the pick is more convenience than pay2win, so I don’t think it matters if people complain a whole lot about it. It’s not gamebreaking.
As for creating new nodes, that’s all speculation and most likely at least a year away from consideration. Even if they do create more, it’s a measley $10, which is what, +25g in game? You can get that in under a week. I get that in a day.
You make 25g a day? Are you on all day or just mindless cof farming?
Sad that players these days see 25g as a lot for one session of playing.
He plays Trader Wars 2, not Guild Wars 2.
Some people actually made smart decisions when the game came out, for example, spamming their account with more character slots and all kinds of upgrades that were much cheaper then. Resulting in much greater gold gain.
Not everything is trade wars. Surprise surprise, some of us know what we’re doing in this game.
The fact that every day has an avg of 1~2 topics opened about them….
Still makes them legendary.
So go play another game. I don’t get this.
I play a game for a while, I get tired of it, I play another one. I don’t stop to post on forums that I don’t feel like playing anymore.
There’s plenty of good games out there. Go enjoy some of them. When new stuff comes out, you can always check back in.
Please excuse the OP for actually taking the time to ask and discuss ways the game can be improved. Yeah unlike you…
Anet’s best selling point is retention of lost players and to bring in the new.
There will never be a solid community, just like in GW1 – most players will find themselves taking a short ~ long break and come back again.Never is a long time. Tons of people stopped playing Prophecies and didn’t come back till Factions…some, like my sons, never went back, they discovered WoW in the interim.
No disrespect but people who discovered WoW and enjoyed it should stay there
Also, I did say most.
So go play another game. I don’t get this.

They do decent in PvP and PvE. Also in small skirmishes in WvW.
They tend to evaporate when there is a large amount of mobs/players with a lot of AoE.
Pretty much this.
Hammer and sword are still your best friends in 1 v 1/2/3.
Shield is still great for PvE, as mentioned before – does the job for fractals.
The thing is, they will only get KO’d in large scale battles since there’s AoE everywhere, but you won’t find a single or a small group of players focusing on your weapons. That will simply leave them more open for attacks.
If you like WvW roaming or sPvP, I’d still recommend traiting into them.
What do you look to verify?
Like what Vayne here said, just play another game until Anet sends you another email “come look what’s new this month!” that will excite you again.
Give me a brawler (fists / kicks) and I’ll be happy.
Send him from Elona, can do some capoeira moves
Also a timebender would be cool, can have for example a debuff opposite of quickness, making enemies attack 50% slower, create time warp bubbles like the mesmer’s elite, only that work in different ways.
I have Sunrise for my Mesmer and Twilight for my Warrior i did have Predator but sold it week or so afterwards so i regretted making that but… only thing i do regret is how much time i’ve but into the game just farming , but other than that makes my characters a lot more funner to play. (also i think now that i’m done with legendaries for now the game PvE got a little bit more boring, so i’m starting to do WvW more and SPvP tourneys too)
You’ll eat your heart out when they fix Eternity…

A well deserving one too, considering all the effort put into it.
Not to mention I got my Obsidian Shards for my Kamohoali’i Kotaki while I was there – why would someone actually buy those things when you can make so much money getting them this way?
Because for 2.7m karma you should have 1,300 shards instead of 350.
Some of us don’t get to have spare karma to dump
There is absolutely nothing legendary about Legendaries. By now a lot of people have them, and they aren’t even special or good looking.
You can say many things about legendaries, but how is:
*Shooting oversized unicorns
*Shooting confettis with irritating sounds
*Opening a window to the sky / abyss
*Covering yourself in chromatic skin
*Zapping everything around you
*Creating footsteps of all the aboveNot special enough for you?
None of that is special in any way, it all pretty stupid actually.
Such a shame, I should start posting screens of all the times people told me how erotic my Sunrise is or “wth is that pistol? never seen anything like it!”
When was the last time you’ve read in party chat “oh wow look at that fiery sword”?
Crappy skins are crappy, it’s all about the effects! grrrrr
meh I don’t think it really makes a big enough difference to influence wether or not I do stuff.
It doesn’t, that much is true.
But try having a couple of alts and go on omnomberries run before reset.
Then tell me what you think

OP, even me with 0 understanding of economics can figure out this simple chain reaction… now stay with me and read carefully:
High valued precursors prices drop by 300g each (by becoming more common) —> T6 mats prices go up.
Another example we’re experiencing right now:
World boss chests spawn a 100% rare loot per day per account —> Certain mats prices go higher due to ectos becoming cheaper. This has globably shifted a lot of mats prices since they are all tied together in one way or another.Creating better farming spots or destroying ones, does not make things harder for everyone.
The value of all the items on TP is decided by the community, by putting together everyone’s capabilities in getting them.
So if you can’t get gold fast enough, you need to get on with the program, and stop being so persistent, others made it better that you. Ask yourself how and don’t be too lazy to figure it out. Also, an argument of “I’d rather play the game my way” won’t hold water, why?
Because you bloody farm 8-18 hours a day, and if that was fun for you, then you wouldn’t have made this topic. All t6 are tied to dust…..the drop rate of dust.
Something you are forgetting is that the whole community is not needed to determine prices. As long as a portion of players exceeds the supply of an item, that portion has the ability to set prices…..ie if 1 item drops and 2 of the richest players are willing to pay x amount above everyone else for it…it doesn’t matter what the rest of the community decides.
Get on with the program of playing tp or grinding quick easy paths? That’s…..well think about it a bit and see if it really makes sense in terms of a mmorpg’s overall health.
It takes a lot more than a couple of rich players to change the flow of the market.
Everyone are willing to pay these prices, there aren’t these imaginary rich players who keep purchasing precursors.
Just a couple of days ago, there was a player who earned 1kg by playing the game over a long time, he bought both Dusk and Dawn, just a regular player like most people or the OP here.
As long as there are people who are willing to pay those prices, the rarity will remain the same.

Because this is the best way to make SURE you come back every month to check the new changes in the game.
Taking part of the new content and getting exclusive skins will be what makes your characters unique.
They (Anet) actually got a great way to keep people hooked up, you may not like it, but you can’t deny it works.
GW2 is a revolving door, bored and frustrated out —> New and curious in (or came back).
Once you learn to accept that, you’ll soon realize how this whole theory of game dying is bs. Since the game lacks SOLID community, but it does not lack a community.
How come the most expensive achievement only has a track but no title to wear?
While at the same breath, owning all cultural armor skins will grant one?
P.S
Still waiting for Sunrise / Twilight legendary track fix.
Pictures related:
There are certain areas in dungeons that having a thief will make easier or faster to skip / complete.
Also I’d say competent thieves will do better in Pugs that an organized group, stealth is of great asset when things go haywire.
@Firegoth.6427 I don’t spend nearly as much time in the TP as you think I do…
I could care less about what you do with your free time.
But you did come off as a bragger making this topic.
Take a break and come back when a new serious gold sink comes in, since besides legendaries you’re out of options. (a few gifts of mastery might burn you out pretty fast though)
Now that you’ve got nothing to do with it, try posting on the forums to brag.
Oh wait…
Play another game, since gw2 isn’t for you.
Borderlands 2 or a real RPG that you actually have to play it in order to progress might be a start.
<———- Spent nearly twice that amount.

Moot points OP.
D/D had it coming, it was a matter of time, and everyone knew it.Live with it and move on.
Too bad the majority of nerfs will affect non D/D builds the most, as well as forcing players into more bunkering to counter the loss of mobility. So really, its the opposite effect.
But I guess we should live with that…
Remind me again the name of this topic?
Don’t take other points to strengthen yours.
Also, you forgot to mention that the sky will rain fire and the ocean will overflow the land.

77/180 is my clover attempts for my second set, using mostly the 10 recipe. I got good results. A 33% chance is a 33% chance, your losses just seem larger with the 10 when realistically they aren’t.
I also got 38 bloods and 35 dust on two tries lol
Don’t sell false information.
10 recipe is higher risk.
1. Send another ticket, you probably know the answer already why it didn’t work.
2. Why bother with eternity at its current state? I’m personally getting twilight now, I already got Sunrise among other legendaries, but want both weapons just so I can swap between them like a kitten. And you WANT to lose the footsteps and special effects?
I suggest to wait for eternity’s skin to get fixed before you dive in. (once you’ll be able to)

All these lucky threads are causing is making everyone else spend tons of gold on a system is is bound to shatter souls.
I love all these D/D complains.
A skilled D/D at its current state is unstoppable by most classes.
Why as a main Guardian player, must I give up before the fight started against any D/D ele? at least against a thief I get the chance to work a quick strategy and a somewhat fair chance to kill.
D/D can simply gtfo whenever he pleases, not before giving a completely controlled fight, and as soon as things go south, run away with no trouble.
Great defence, solid offence, and unparalleled mobility.
I doubt this nerf will hardly do enough in this case.
D/D is getting screwed, it still isn’t screwed enough if you ask me, live with it.
So what updates to look forward to?
I’m at work, so can’t watch the live.
The population of Guild Wars 2, including gw1 is like a revolving door:
Vet players leave in frustration / boredom, New and / or curious players come in instead after hearing about more updates through gaming websites and updates in their email.
The community will always be recycled until Anet decides to stop updating the game.
Stop playing today for 3 months, if an expansion comes out, I guarantee that you’ll come back just to “poke around”. That is the nature of this game.
Asking about dead or alive community won’t get you anywhere.
What Guild Wars never had was a SOLID community.
Instead of living story that hardly contributed anything. (SAB brought back more players)
People want to log in, play and say “wow, that was fun”.
Anet focuses too much on immersion while at the same time completely breaks it with super skins, cartoonish backpacks (by all means, I own all and love them, but just making a point). People just want to have fun, hardly anyone cares about the story and the world.
Hell, how many of you actually know who’s against who and why in the game?
The people want fun, they don’t care in what form, stop feeding us with stories and more text that no one really cares about.
We’re already being treated like dummies with a very limited skill set, may as well give us a good reason to mash our buttons for.
THINK FUN.
Why regret? GW2 is a collection book for me.
Just collecting those leggies one by one (5th atm). I don’t find real interest in any specific content of the game.
I just enjoy the social and competitive aspects of it.
On days that I’m not so interested in playing, my routine will be logging in, piling anything from 15-30g. logging out. A month+ down the road and I got myself a new leggy.
So yeah, it’s just a # for me I guess.
Maybe because people want to actually play the game instead of debate random crap with you?
Doesn’t always work that way when they start the argument and can’t take the heat anymore.
When I start arguing with someone it results in my temp ban or kick from end of dungeon.
Majority of players in this game still suck on their mother’s nipples, and you can hardly discuss about anything with anyone in a way that won’t make them take every 2nd word as personal insult.
A very egotistic thread, considering that many people prefer things the way they are now.
OP, you are in a minority that asks for a change.
Here are my solutions for you:
- Create your own zerk warrior and start farming.
- Play with buddies who share similar ideals in running dungeons.
- Don’t do dungeons.I hope you realize that many people who never or will bother looking at these forums (posters here are below 1% of whole community) will be very very aggravated with the outcome of a “nerf” to zerkers.
This thread isnt about dungeons, it is about the fact that one type of armor completely outshines every other set. And that we who use condition damage are completely screwed.
Sure I hate the speedfarmers ruining the in game economy too, but that is not this threads purpose.
But that is really the problem here, let’s call the child by it’s own name.
Full zerk doesn’t serve all purposes in sPvP / WvW, so we are truly left with PvE only.
Also, the +crit dmg % from the armor alone is hardly even close to gamebreaking.
Just as one example, you get more precision from Knight’s, some people like me would prefer the extra toughness and crit chance than 10% more crit dmg.
If anything, don’t bash the zerk gear, bash how effective conditions are in PvE, since they work just fine in competitive play, but extremely lackluster in PvE.
My first comment was made as I strongly felt that the OP got enraged with his last CoF group search and decided to make a thread about it, using other moot points along the way.
I thought we all agreed that it was lips service / slip of the tongue.
Why bring the subject up again?
