Just upfront paladin and marauder ( which eceryone use) won’t work against a reaper of equal Skill unless you are using Killshot, I believe even Killshot requires bezerker. And as far as wvw is concerned, our dps are high enough in wvw to RIP a necro.
Even if you go Svanir and marauder, you might(notice the might) win the duel that’s is 1 vs 1. However in tf, you ll get rip.

Dude his point his by having high vitality you give up not only power but also ferocity or precision. As a warrior, your goal is to deal dmg, you can’t have (900 power 1200 bit and 900 precision) barbarian amulet and expect to do great against necros. You ate hurting yourself by having 31k hp.

Yup exactly, however, I won’t say it’s all luck though, luck is Def involved for folks in between the bell curve. For the outliers however, it’s either 0 win during the entirety of the season ( for players with 10% winrate) or 0 loss (high MMR folks) during the whole season.
I can’t belive someone actually thought this system would work; you have 3 variable which determines a player skills ( 5 vs 5 or 1 vs 5 or 5 vs 1). That’s just stupid; Futhermore, the more you lose, the higher your chances of losing are. So, OP I d advised you to play until a loss then switch to games like Lol or Dota if you have them, or unrank if you can.
The way the system is structured, you have close to 30% chance of making a comeback after a loss.
I.e the dude above me, the system awards casual players!! Unless you have a high MMR to begin with.
Better fix is to make berserker stance 1s pulsing per second intervals, instead of 3s in 3s intervals. If they get corrupted you only take 1 second or less of a tick of damage. Also eternal warrior should be 3 stacks of stability not 1. Even necros get 3 stacks per 3s, and there’s no need to trait for it.
Even with all of this, warrior isn’t going to be a “good” choice when reverant still does everything a warrior does 10x better. Protection boon > warrior, enough said.
This would def help, reduce the interval.
And @choppy it depends if you mainly 1 vs 1 or jump into teamfight. In tf, the old bezerker stance made you a beast, with the nerf/buff you are food to condi reapers.

@Naus the current system is so crappy that’s it’s going to be 100 time harder for you to get out. You are close from ruby and at this point kittens very easy for the system to group 5 8 and match them up against your team. The best way to level up would be to form a duo/trio depending on how low your MMR is actually.
Melee attacks have blocks, condis dont. They hit through everything. Especially necro with its silly traited marks. They should erase this trait as it cancels 99% of the power based builds defense, which are active blocking.
Most condi attacks are blockable just like power attacks (and can be dodged, blinded, interrupted, …). Some power attacks are unblockable like some condi attacks. It depends on the specific skills, not whether it is condi or power.
Look at the condi mesmer. It spreads cancer through shattering. Let’s assume you have a kittening valid point in saying that condi removal (which doesnt cleanse you completely mind you and most condi cleanses are tied in to stun breakers) is the bane to condition damage. Let’s kittening assume that.
Do you know how fast a mesmer can re-shatter your stupid face? In less than 10 seconds. That’s how fast reapplication works. Most decent condi cleanses are on 30 second cooldown.
Power mesmer can deal tons of dmg too with shatters, so what’s the difference? If you tank shatters every few seconds you would get destroyed by power mesmer too …
Condi builds are super yawn fests and are clearly better than power builds. That’s only because power users tend to be better players than condiscubs. And ANet’s silly pvp balance team decided they should give the upper hand to condi builds rather than, you know, finding a balance.

And yes only 2 out of 9 classes are decent at condi. Do you know why? Because ANet’s balance team is full of kitten. Those 2 are not only decent, they are better than anything else in term of player skill required. They are braindead. A baddie chronophantasma can defeat a long time player like say Blackjack just by spamming keys. That is a fact.
It’s the same with how stupidly powerful the DH is. A bad DH can nuke out a good thief or deny the capture point for long enough just randomly pressing keys.
Condi needs counter play and the balance team needs to get their kitten together.
On the top of my head, everyone has a viable condi build. Condi warrior can kitten a condi necro, while power warrior can’t, you know why?? This thread, the game has 0 anti condi stats. I know someone people mentioned condi clears but gl clearing condi every 45 sec on your warrior though.
Warrior again, if I go defense, I give up 30% or more damage, and then I get to pick between Dogged march (which doesn’t give move speed) or shield master, which is pretty key to improving survivability.

You basically need to take defense for adrenal health and either cleansing ire or rousing resilience. Dead people don’t deal damage. I’m not a master warrior (or master any class!) , but this is what I run on mine. Basically, you use rifle for damage until you are attacked and then switch to mace/shield. It seems to work for the most part.
You could switch rousing to cleansing ire and swap signet of stamina for a CC ability like kick. Warrior has lots of regen and CC. IMO, it makes more sense to build around your strengths instead of building for straight damage. I don’t main a warrior. So, hopefully a full-time warrior pro can give you better input.
EDIT: Now you have me thinking that I should swap the rifle for hammer and start playing my warrior. LOL!

You have toughness, because there are three stats that affect direct damage-power, precision and ferocity. Also, direct attacks can crit. I think it makes perfect sense condis go through toughness because they can’t crit, and generally do a lot less damage. You can spec for more vitality if you want to survive better against condi, as well as more cleanses. But you shouldn’t be able to cleanse everything, or else condi would be useless. You can also dodge attacks that apply condi like everything else. IMO the system is working as intended.
Exactly. In an even playing field you can’t carry. You can only carry when the other team is destined to lose and you accuse them of not carrying. You see how ridiculous it is.

Nope you are not the Poster is assuming that you are running HS (which provides 6 sec or resistance) and the beserker stance ( 9 or 10 sec of res) and both can be corrupted. ( especially when fighting three reaper). Melee power warrior has close to no chance, as it stand, against a reaper of equal Skill. They can inflict weakness ( RIP your dps) by corruption your might, and you have 0 defense giant them since they can always corrupt your resistance. Anet should revert the bezerker stance nerf.

Also, I almost forget the protective ward trait from druid, passiv trait (15 sec CD), everytime you hit him, you get weakness (6 sec) and he get protection (5 sec). So, -33 % dammage from protection, arround -50 because of weakness I would say, I don’t know how that scale but you got the idea. Every 15 sec.

Yup. That’s how I ended up in t2 ruby.. 3 reaper every game.. and the bezerker stance nerf doesn’t help either. But there is a condi warrior build out there which does pretty well against reaper or eng, but I like my power warrior way too much to give it a shot
16,6 matches per day with every match+queue+ready time being about 15 minutes is only about 4 hours of gaming, i dont think we’re living in such age when 4 hours of gaming per day is something to frown upon unless you are living in some sort of village

First off at op I’m pretty sure the 200k comes from the marketing budget not the development budget.
Also one of the biggest reasons abjured are so good is they are the most stable NA team besides the OEGGS drama they have had the se roster for quite some time. The people who say EU teams are better might have a point but it’s because those teams have more stability than NA teams that change players al the time. The individual skill differences between NA and EU are not as kittenome would like you to believe.

It is natural to finally hit a wall with one’s skill level.
I am currently hitting my wall at legendary tier5/6. Almost every second match I got matched against some ESL names, Ostrichegg, Eura, Supcutie, sunfish. My team just doesn’t have the ability to overcome that obstacle.
Which wall are you talking about?? Did you even read the OP thread, if so what’s his wall?? T2 diamond or T1?? Or T5?
