why would i spend my time practicing on the worst class in the game when i could spend it practicing on a strong and viable class, like scrapper or DH? like, homes what is the point?
i know timing matters on warrior, i’ve played the class since beta. regardless, timing matters for all classes, so great timing on an actually viable class > great timing on the worst class in the game.
is warrior damage good, yeah it is- but it’s sustain is trash. DH and scrapper have equal if not better damage and miles better sustain, and have deeper and more interesting mechanics.

I have never played cod before.
But if game do requires you to buy st that will increase your winrate, that is p2w.
If CoD does that and also requires you to have a copy of game to play, then both b2w and p2w rules applies.
Our HoT exoansion also applies both p2w and b2p, since you need to have expansion to play its content and also increase your winrate. but since we talk about balance stuffs on pvp forum, we disregard pve stuffs, which is about b2p, thus only p2w remains. Thus is p2w.

But anet doesn’t require you to buy a copy of their game to play normal pvp?? And 90% of the elite specs are ON PAR with cores specs. So how is gw2 anything like COD or heartstone or Lol.
And on xpax increasing your winrate?? Where is the data?? Lordseth. Shin, and most pro on twitch have being alternating between elite specs and cores specs and their winrate hasn’t change that much if anything it has improved ( especially gs hammer build).

It starts being your problem the first time you land in a team with core players against a team of elite spec players. Besides, if you’re really after competition, you should want the match result to show which side was more skilled, not which side paid more.

It includes something which is basically like elite specs for GW2. Free for everyone. Everything in that expansion will be free for everyone. Games can work without predatory business practices. And they can do good, or even better than those that fall back to the crappy business model as ANet does.

I don’t care what anet said or didn’t say if the game is like buying a license to windows, I don’t wan’t people on evaluation versions to get it for free without activation,
This … some people just want everything for free; granted the elite specs have a 1.5% advantage over core, imo it all come down to skill. Every core specs is as strong as elite specs.
Delete them from Utility skills.
And instead add them as new Burst skills.
Example:
F3 Endure Pain
F4 Balanced Stance
F5 Berseker Stance=====
- These Burst skills can be balanced easily by making them a cooldown based skills or Adrenaline consuming skills or a mixture of both
- You can put whatever Stance skill you desire in these 3 new F slots like (Frenzy, Defiant Stance)

Why maurader over zerker?
You are very wrong in your assement that people are neglecting the remainder of the runes (90% as you called) because they are weak. The runes are not weak. People ignored them because that’s what the pro said. Let’s say anet decide to buff the rune you have just listed, once buffed a pro might give it a shot. Depending on his result, he will convince his followers that frailty is the new holy grail. As a result 99% of his followers will use that runes because it’s what the pro player uses.
Nope that will be too Op, if you want fast hands then go with discipline.
Ok anet when will the warrior get anything?
You increased base dmg for warrior when revs/thieves/ and now druids do more dps base damage. How can we even compete when revs have 2 heals? Thieves have invisibility and shadow step to get away? Druids have cele form which means warrior has to do enough damage to take them down before they use it or sustain enough to get them down twice.
You gave us alot of condi dmg but the majority comes from being in beserk mode. Rev just smashes button and boom 5-6 stacks of torment/chill/psn and mesmers are now playing bunker passive condi and with warriors single target attacks it becomes very difficult to land these big burst hits when mesmer can go invulnerable/distortion/blink away. All the while going invisible and stacking 1-3 confusion/burn/bleed and its constant.
Who is warrior suppose to beat? What is its role in team fights when literally every other class fills a role better and its not just one class but its 2-3 classes better at support/dps/bunker/free lancing/ group fights/ 1 vs 1 fights/ and i sit here wondering what to do.
I feel like Ele is in this same spot but it has 2 decent builds imo but this class has been forced into shouts but warrior doesnt even have stat. Warrior has been forced into stances and its not even that good.
The rage skills have to be the worst skills in the game as well, for PvP and WvW and i know Anet cares far more for PvE but really? Really these skills have limited range, can easily be side stepped and the heal skill alone makes me wonder if the warrior should still be a class in PvP.
At some point will warrior get anything useful for PvP?
We are supposed to beat necros and idk who you ve been playing against but ele are pretty strong atm, bunker fresh aire condi ele at least. But you do have some great point; herr is a thing though we can counter any class granted with have the appropriate build.

Check Last meta game and tell me how many core specs where playing wait 3 month and come back to tell me how many core specs will be in next meta. Like i said you still can play core at the cost of behing underperforming (I never said total trash) and i know it I played up to legendary (on 2 accounts 1 hot & 1 core).Now if you could be somehow polite and constructive (and read what people actualy say) i’d maybe care about your opinion. NB: Metabattle.com isn’t up to date at the moment since the season finished and there is a new balance patch update thrown into the game (That’s why there is nothing in the “meta” part) + the great selection has only 2 core classes.
You have answered your own question in your thread. My point still stands f2p pvp build are as strong as elite build. It takes time to get better at a game. I can’t belive you are blaming your f2p friend departure on HOT. That’s my issue with your post. I takes time to develop skills, had they stayed longer they would have improved.
Since they are NEW f2p player. I believe ,and everyone will agree with me on this one, they are under performing because of their skills or lack thereof.

There is nothing wrong with the balance… like someone said, people have to adapt to the new meta;hence why they gave us a month off. I also wanted to thanks Anet for the balance because I am enjoying every second of it.
Warrior are doing OK atm. Idk about your skills though. Maybe it’s the other way around. I have no problem dueling necro,rev or any other class; granted some class counter me harder than others. Every pro players are back 9n their warrior ao that should tell you something. In conclusion,better yourself my friend.
Even if you are a higher skilled ele, necro can beat you due to sheer sponge HP.
And before this patch, even if you were a higher skilled necro, any diamond skin ele could beat you with his eyes closed. Why is it only not ok now?
