How to PvP like IoJ.
When zerging: Have arrow cart blueprint in hands and ready to deploy at all times.
1v1 fight: Turn around, head to nearest keep and man cannon.
2v1 fight: Have one person run to nearest keep and man cannon. Have second player Stand in cannon range until it is safe.
3+v1 fight: Congratulations, you now have enough supply to flash build an arrow cart. Stay in arrow cart range until it is safe.
I understand it’s all about the PPT but come on, I’ve never seen a server run so much from fights.
Are we talking about IoJ or DDLG? It’s clear in the video you guys posted that you are using canons. Talk about irony eh.

The only ironic thing here is your posts reinforcing a stereotype about IoJ that was put in a movie title as a joke.
Devona’s Rest was stuck in a similar situation. We lost guilds, got stuck in T5 because of the horrid rating system when we were really a T8 server, and went 25 consecutive weeks without a win. Aside from forum threads we never spammed the forums with QQ threads about our situation. You all know the saying, once you hit rock bottom… Well DR did and after months we pulled our kitten together, improved as a server and pulled in our first victory since 2012 just a couple of weeks ago.
I don’t see enough dedication on AR to pull this off, at least not yet. That’s why you spend time complaining about Arena Net as if they are the only source for your problem. I’m sure it will happen eventually though, once you start making an effort.
It is absolutely intended that you can fight people in the JP. The fact that so many people are piling into the map to get the achievement is good for any and all of you who are capable of laying the smack down on them, and, if they manage to fight back is hopefully going to encourage some of them to stick around and play WvW. If you don’t want to get killed by other players, don’t play WvW. Plain and simple. The achievement isn’t required for getting the meta-achievement on purpose.
I’m sorry but there is a difference between killing players in WvW and griefing.
If someone camps the entrance and kill people as they come in? Fine. If someone is standing on top of for example the arena and keeps people in combat continuously it’s borderline griefing.
EDIT: Believe me, either way I don’t care. It’s just about whether or not you condone griefing as a form of PvP.
You’re acting like you need some sort of pve/wvw guru to figure out whats currently important to players in the game when a 1 hour search in general discussion/wvw threads would suffice. This isn’t exactly conceptually difficult work.
You can’t be serious. That’s like learnin to play a class by reading the class forums.
Because understanding that 800 post threads might be important issues in the community takes a lot of brainpower and skill.
Players are unsatisfied with matchmaking for wvw. I could easily come up with 10+ questions in about 5 minutes related to that.
The work might be conceptually difficult for you to wrap your head around, but for any normal person it is not.
And what exactly makes you think you will get a whole new array of answers to these questions just because you are asking them in a video instead of a forum thread?

Current profitability of the model does not equate to potential future profitability of the model. It’s like you think they’re not aspiring to become popular to the point that their model is profitable or something, or that they’re doing it for the good of the community at the expense of their own lives. No, they’re doing it because in part they likely get personal satisfaction out of making the productions, and also because they hope it becomes popular enough to the point where they can obtain sponsorship and profit from the productions.

Stealth should never have been in the game. It’s a boring mechanic, both for the thief and the players facing him / her. Thieves would have been much more fun if they were about fast, hard hitting attacks and lots of evades, while stile being as squishy as they are. This would also provide some sort of learning curve instead of the incredibly simple CnD / BP + Backstab.
I don’t neccesarily think Thieves are too strong, except for a few things like the synergy between Cavaliers gear + Hidden Killer and D/P + Shadow Arts, but these are things I am sure Arena Net will balance out eventually.

You dont have to be a large guild to have a zerg guild mentality. If you lose to even or lower numbers then come back with twice, three even four times as many to face the people that just beat you everytime, thats a zerg mentality.

I’m actually the rudest person in the guild, post the most on the forums and am probably the worst player. BS does not consider itself elite anything wont get the forum warrior zerg from them. Just me here and we all know the worst players always post the most its a rule of the internet (/wave Gab).

Mhm I just love these posts I’m not repping EDGE nor OBS here but I can just picture it vividly in my head. BS running around with a group of X players, wiping groups 2-3 times their size all night long. Suddenly they run into a group that has 2-3 more players than them and wipe, something that they would normally be able to handle.
Naturally the only response would be to call out these players for being bads and zerglings, not the others who ran in twice as large groups and failed to wipe you.
This is a behaviour I like to call the PAXA-logic.

I am far from the biggest fan of DDLG, but I will tell you that they are a good group of guys who seem to do things pretty above board. This is the first time I have seen them accused of it, and it would thoroughly surprise me if they cheated with the knowledge of their leadership. Anything is possible, but I think you’re barking up the wrong tree here. Just FYI.

Aside from occasionally resetting SM, ET has been focusing DR in EB 90% of the time.
I also find it amusing how we see all these apologetic posts from ÌoJ about how they should have done things differently and weren’t paying attention and so on, as if they are expecting DR to jump in and call you bads any second now.
I personally don’t think you are gonna see much of that from DR, aside from maybe a few people who amused by the fact THAT A SERVER THAT QUEUES MAPS DURING EUROPEAN PRIMETIME ON SUNDAYS AND HAS SOME OF THE BEST OCEANIC COVERAGE LOSES TO TWO T8 SERVERS. LOL.
Cmon IOJ, only jump on a body if you are actually good or did something great, 50+ golems to take back your own keep at 5 am with 30+ against 10=15 if probably a sign you should uninstall. We held you keep for 17 hours but unfortunately we have no morning crew. I try to invite you to party but you to scared to talk to us. Had fun hiding at Bay for 8m while 20 chased me in lords room, too bad i couldnt do it as long in hills. Sadly you only took hills not because numbers but because you use LOS on those AC’s because you couldnt kill us in there, thanks for the 200 badges today. Take some camps, you guys only worth 3 WvW xp
20 people could hold hills all night if they knew what theyre doing. You guys also have Overlook, the most easily defended keep in WvW, should be the hardest thing to take.

You see, the problem arises when you are trying to defend Garrison, Bay, Hills AND OL with 20 people against 60-70 people.
This is correct. The key is how players but all these pieces together. What I am worried about is certain professions provide the best field/blast combos or DPS/utility more efficiently than the others. We are starting to see key profession stacking for 25+ zerg warfare which excludes other professions/builds to havoc squads/roaming/scouting/reroll/respec. The key profession builds are highly rewarded for having the better field/blast combo synergy or DPS/utility; where as, other professions become more of a liability due to the lack of synergy they provide in a large group.
I have to agree. The huge difference in power of a blast finisher compared to any other finisher makes for what I consider to be a boring meta where everyone just stacks up, something that is amplified by the AoE cap.
Don’t think EB is full yet for us. Sigh gab, quit bragging. Seriously, all i can say nice defense? 7+ Arrow carts all hitting one breach cant let anybody pass. we did got both outer and inner wall down so yeah, Oh and while ET was cappin stuff around while we fought you guys.
That’s what my IoJ spy told me, 15min queue 1-2 hours ago.
Also, I am in no way bragging. I just find it amusing that IoJ (T6) has a queue whereas EB (T3) doesn’t. Especially considering you have some of the best Oceanic coverage.
I was in now way comparing them. I simply stating that they have experimented with a mechanic in the game before and have reverted the changes revealed was an example. Unless I’m not allowed to prove they have done it before? My bad??
You don’t actually believe that removing the downed state would have about the same effects on the game as adding one (1)(!) second to revealed, do you?
If anyone can get a hold of this thief from EDGE, tell her to come to fight night or to find me so we can 1v1, I tried to fight her 3 times and each time her group intervened. I’m just gonna ask it DR and IoJ. Are there any real roamers on your servers or just these 5 man parties that run around indecisively avoiding any fight that isn’t a 5v1? I"m not intending to be rude, I’m just really curious because roaming and finding random duels is my biggest source of fun in wvw, and don’t tell me to go to spvp because the stat acquisition in Spvp is kittened, and too many builds that don’t work in there. Of course you will. Ratings are wonky because you were stuck in T8 for so long, and they are in the process of being constrained to a smaller range. For example, when SBI lost to DB by 250k points they gained just as much rating as you are going to gain this week.

Im well aware of these abilities. In fact guardian has one also incase you didnt know.
Ele revive takes 4.5 secs to cast standing still
Necros takes two seconds to cast standing still
Ranger pet will revive a nearby downed ally same with spirit. In a group fight of 20v30 those pets and spirits will die before the actual player in some cases
Warriors now this is the generic revive skill used by everyone and in my opinion the only viable one since it provides other bonuses to the party as well.
The thing is if you are running with a guild / organized group they should not be stoping for 2-4 sec during a fight to revive a person through a skill / manually. If my guild has the organization to not lose a single person and 5 people we downed rally off a pug we have no control over that punishes us. NPC should have a no rally system in WvW. We shouldnt have to wait till they neutralize the ogres/dredge to be able to push in for an attack without worrying of a NPC death rallying them. It takes no “skill” to hit 1 on an npc and pray to god the pug team you are with manages to kill that npc. PvE obviously needs the downed state but this is a WvW thread so we will not go there. It is just a given that downed state hurts the organized groups while pug groups are more rewarded off of it. (In my honest opinion)
